After 16 hours of labor. Haley James was a mom.
Haley looked to Karen. Thanking her for being there through this.
Karen smiled warmly. "There was nowhere else i was going to be."
"I'll let Brooke and Lucas know. Once they do the rest of you're friends will be aware."
"Savor this time in the hospital. Take it all in. This is what really matters." Karen advised. Before leaving the hospital room.
Haley gazed down at the infant in her arms.
A daughter. She had Haley's brown eyes and Nathan's black hair.
She was so in love already.
The sound of a door opening and closing brought Haley's gaze forward.
Brooke's squeal filled the room as she clutched Lucas tightly.
"She's perfect." Brooke gushed.
"Aunt Brooke has spoiling to do. I cannot wait." Brooke added in.
"She's beautiful. How are you feeling Hales?"
"Or should i not ask that." He questioned. Looking to his best friend.
"Exhausted but she was so worth it. I want the two of you to be her godparents." Haley replied.
The couple looked to each other.
"We would be honored." Lucas replied.
"We brought so much stuff from the gift shop." Brooke announced. As she sat down at the end of the bed.
"I'll bring some of that in the room now." Lucas said. Making his way out of the hospital room.
He lingered in the hallway. Went into his cellphone contacts clicked on a number he had avoided and clutched the cellphone to his ear tightly.
"You have a daughter. You're a father now."
"What you do with this information is on you."
"But i hope you make the right decision Nathan because you only have this one chance." Lucas announced. Before the call ended between them.
