Author's Note: So I am starting to catching up to the last of the chapters I have written for this story. So I will be resuming the once a week posting to keep the updates going longer while I continue finishing the story. Most of the time they'll post Friday or Saturday. However, next weekend's update will not post until Sunday when I'm back from vacation. Have a wonderful weekend!

In the parking garage near the PCPD, Charles was waiting in the vehicle with the guards, looking out the window. Sage and Milo were standing outside the vehicle with Diane as Kellie's vehicle followed by Charles thought was one of the Quartermaine Vehicles.

Kellie got out of her vehicle and headed towards Sage and Milo.

Sage embraced Kellie in a hug.

"I still can't believe that Charles is here," Sage said, "That this is real. You must be thrilled."

"I still can't believe it either," Kellie said.

"I've been meaning to check in since I heard," Sage said, "But it's been kind of crazy."

"When things settle down with this at least," Kellie said, "We'll have a girls night."

"I'll hold you to it," Sage said as one of Charles's guards opened his door to let him out.

"Are you ready for this?" Kellie asked, once he was out of the car.

"I understand the idea of a media circus," Charles said, "But it seems like an awful lot of fuss."

"I know," Kellie said, "But making sure your return from the dead is public is key to keeping the WSB in check. Diane's strategy and even I agree with it."

"Is that one of the Quartermaine vehicles that followed you in?" Charles asked.

"It is," Kellie said, "I ran into Monica while I was at the cemetery before I came here. She offered to lend the Quartermaine name to the so-called media circus, but only if you're onboard with it. She'll understand if you're not ready to see her yet. But she wanted to show her support."

Charles thought for a moment and then walked over to Monica's vehicle where Yuri opened her door and Monica stepped out of the vehicle and walked towards Charles.

"I hope this is okay," Monica said, as Charles approached.

"You really want to bring the Quartermaine name into whatever this is?" Charles asked.

"If it means you'll be home without worrying about the WSB, yes," Monica said, "Regardless of how you and I move forward from this, I want to be sure you'll be around for your family."

Monica looked over at Kellie, Sage, and Milo and then back at Charles.

"Thank you," Charles said, choking up slightly, "I don't know if there are words to convey my appreciation for that support after all that's happened."

"I'm sure you'll find them eventually," Monica said, giving Charles a hug.

"Seriously," Sage said to Kellie, "The aww factor alone means they should be able to work this out and get back to being engaged."

"We'll just have to wait and see," Kellie said, "I hope I did the right thing bringing Monica here."

"Uncle Charles probably needed the nudge," Milo said, "I know he reached out to Monica to let her know he'd be in touch, but I think he might have found excuses to put off seeing her. Even if he still needs time before they talk, just having Monica's support today will help him. I think you made the right call."

PCPD

Over at the PCPD, Taggert made his way through the throng of reporters to get inside the station.

"What's with the media hounds?" Taggert asked Dante.

"It looks like the media has been tipped off to Charles's return and that he'll be meeting with WSB here," Dante said.

"WSB won't be happy about that," Taggert said.

"Probably not," Dante said, "I have to say I'm surprised to see you here."

"Trina is home with her mother," Taggert said, "I just needed to touch base with Jordan before I completely crash."

"The commissioner is in her office," Dante said as they heard a group of people making their way in from crowd of media reporters. Diane led the group with Charles and then Kellie and Johnny. Sage and Milo escorted Monica while Yuri followed behind them keeping the reporters at bay. Yuri had insisted on joining the escort to watch over Monica.

"You sure do like to make an entrance don't you, Little Sis," Dante said to Kellie.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Kellie replied.

"I suggest our group make ourselves scarce before the WSB arrives," Diane says.

"I'm staying," Kellie said, "I'll find an empty office or something."

"And I do have a hospital board meeting to get to," Monica said.

"I'm really glad you showed up, Monica," Charles said.

"Let me know how this turns out," Monica said, hugging Charles.

"We'll walk out the back entrance," Milo said, "Monica, you're welcome to join us."

Once Sage, Milo, Monica, and Yuri left, Taggert approached Charles.

"It's good to see you on this side of the ocean," Taggert said, "And already cleaned up."

"I owe you for that," Charles said.

"As much as I hate to interrupt," Diane said, "I suggest, we break this up for the now. There will be plenty of time to chat after the WSB has come and gone."

Jordan walked into the room.

"Ms. Miller, the interrogation room is ready whenever you and Charles are," Jordan said, "Taggert, I'll probably be a few minutes if you don't mind waiting."

"Not a problem," Taggert said, "I'll wait in your office if that's alright."

Diane and Charles followed Jordan as Taggert headed to Jordan's office.

"I know a spot you can lay low until Charles is done," Dante said to Kellie, ushering her out of the main area of the precinct, Johnny following behind. Once they got to the nearly empty hallway, they found Taggert waiting for them.

"I just wanted to say thank you for getting me to Greenland to look for Trina," Taggert said, quietly, "I know I didn't get a chance to before I left and I didn't want to give anything away out there with the WSB headed in to question Charles."

"I appreciate it," Kellie said as Dante opened an office door, "But I really should be thanking you."

"Taggert, you're welcome to hang out here as well," Dante said. Taggert nodded.

"Dante, can you keep an eye on Charles for me?" Kellie asked.

"Of course," Dante said, "I don't think anyone's letting the WSB take him anywhere, including the contingent of guards your uncle has watching him right now."

"Still if the WSB really wants to take him away," Kellie said, "I'm worried."

"Diane Miller is not going to let that happen," Taggert said.

"But yes, I will go do some paperwork outside the interrogation room," Dante said.

"Thank you," Kellie said as Dante left the office, closing the door behind him.
