It had been a while since Gwen and Clarence were rescued by Cuphead, Mugman, Ms. Chalice and Rose from the Devil's clutches. Gwen had settled with her new godly powers but managed to keep them concealed thanks to the silver bracelet Quadratus gave her.

Gwen starts her usual morning routine then leaves for the Inkwell Isles University. On this day, her class was starting their next project: Greek pottery art. Everyone gets their own pot and starts painting at their own station.

"Hmm, I think…" Gwen said to herself.

She started painting her 3 best friends on the pot in a heroic pose. Suddenly, a thought struck her.
"Could they my last hope to save me from the Devil? Cuphead did save me and Chalice after we lost that dance contest. I thought I could stop him, but I was too weak to fight the Devil. I don't know how Cuphead does it but he and Mugman always ended up saving me." Gwen said to herself.

Gwen thought for a while, trying to plan for whatever big plan the Devil maybe planning that will be much worse than anything she's faced before.

"Alright students! Let's start wrapping everything up and we'll pick this up again next class." The professor announced.

Gwen packed up her satchel and leaves the classroom. She returned home back to the cottage and rested up in her room.

While she was napping, her little butterfly suddenly noticed something strange enter the room. A small glowing ball of light was floating in the air above Gwen. The bright light annoys Gwen, forcing her to wake up. She is shocked at the sight.

"What the?!" Gwen exclaimed.

Gwen stared at the ball of light and prepared to touch it. Suddenly the ball of light swiped her ink pen and flew away.

"Hey! That's mine!" Gwen yelled.

Gwen got out of bed with her magic inkwell on her belt and her silver bracelet on and chased after the ball of light. She ran outside the cottage and chased the light into the forest.

"Give me back my ink pen!" Gwen angrily yelled.

Gwen chased the light until she reached the cliff where Mount Mugmore stood as the light disappeared. She groaned in frustration after giving up the chase.

"Ugh! That ink pen is all that's left of my grandfather!" Gwen yelled in agony.

As she turned to walk away, the ball of light suddenly appeared in front of her. Gwen tried to grab it when suddenly, the ball of light consumes her, making her disappear from the Inkwell Isles.

When the light faded, Gwen opened her eyes to find herself in what appeared to be a Grecian palace surrounded by clouds.

"Woah." Gwen said, fascinated as she looked around.

Just then, the ball of light transformed into a glowing man dressed in Greek formal wear and winged sandals approach her. Feeling afraid, Gwen tried to run away to find the exit of the palace. But when she tried to exit, she is stopped by an invisible barrier.

"No!" Gwen exclaimed as she tried pounding.

Just then, Gwen felt a hand grabbing her arm.

"Alright blessed mortal, this way." The man said.

"Wait, what?" Gwen asked at the name he called her.

The glowing man took Gwen away further into the palace until they reached a grand throne room. Sitting on two large thrones, a glowing muscular bearded man and beautiful woman wearing a crown surrounded by more glowing people dressed in Greek formalwear stare at Gwen.

The glowing man released Gwen.

"My lord, I have brought the blessed mortal." The glowing man announced.

"Well done, Hermes. I will take it from here." The bearded man thanked.

"Wait, Hermes? As in the Greek messenger of the gods?" Gwen asked, confused.

The bearded man stood up and walked toward Gwen.

"If he's Hermes, then you are…?" Gwen was about to ask until the bearded man cut her off.

"Yes, it is I, Zeus. King of the gods." Zeus introduced himself.

Gwen gasped and flinched, thinking he was going to destroy her. Instead, Zeus took her hand and led her towards the other gods.

"Why do you flee blessed mortal? We just want to talk." Zeus asked and explained.

Gwen felt awkward and more confused.

"Blessed mortal?" Gwen asked.

"Yes. We have watched you and your adventures and battles from afar. You have impressed us." Zeus said.

Gwen's eyes widened.

"Oh, you mean with the magic inkwell and the cosmic powers of the astral plane?" Gwen asked.

Hermes gives her back her ink pen.

"Yes, you have learned to use it wisely. And you have helped those in need." Hera, the queen of the gods complimented.

"Thank you, ma'am. But I'm not perfect." Gwen thanked, feeling bashful.

"And we have recently noticed that you have recently helped another god save his land from chaos. And he and his fellow gods have blessed you with their gifts." Zeus said.

"Oh yeah, I just helped Horus, he saved the world from Set's wrath. I don't understand why they gave me those powers. I never asked for them. The thought never occurred to me." Gwen explained.

"Because your evil enemy seeks your hand in marriage for your magic and power to take over both the worlds you hold dear. We believe they have blessed you to help you succeed in defeating the demon himself." Hera said, showing her silhouettes of the Devil.

Gwen grew worried.

"Yeah, he's now discovered it and forced me to demonstrate for him because…" Gwen tried to explain until Zeus cut her off.

"We know. He threatened to kill your true love if you didn't cooperate." Zeus assured her.

"Yes, you really love that young mortal with all your heart." Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love complimented.

Gwen smiled at the thought of Clarence.

"Yes, I do ma'am. He will free me from the Devil, and he and I will be together forever." Gwen said.

"We understand you have trouble controlling your new powers and you sought to keep them concealed." Athena, the goddess of wisdom said.

"Yes, I didn't want to accidentally destroy anything or anyone. I'm forever thankful to my oracle friend for all his help." Gwen said, thinking of Quadratus.

"You know, most mortals would give anything to have what you have and use them for evil and selfish purposes. But you have your magic and power for good and selfless purposes." Hermes said.

"Oh. Well still, I'm not perfect." Gwen admitted.

Gwen realized she needed answers.

"Uh, my lords and ladies, should I be wondering why I'm here?" Gwen asked, trying to be polite.

"Yes, we have decided to see if you are worthy of the magic inkwell and your ink pen as well as your cosmic powers along with your new godly powers. Which is why we would like to test you with a challenge." Zeus answered.

"What do you mean a challenge? And what for?" Gwen asked.

"You will face a monster across the sea and defeat it." Poseidon, the god of the sea explained.

"Monster? What monster?" Gwen asked nervously.

"The gorgon Medusa. I am sure you are familiar with her?" Artemis, the goddess of hunt asked.

"Wait, isn't she that snake-haired monster who turns people to stone if they look at her?" Gwen asked nervously.

"Indeed. You will face her. Prove the gods you are worthy." Apollo, the sun god answered.

"But I thought Perseus killed her. He decapitated her head and used it to easily defeat enemies. I read that story in high school when we were learning Greek mythology." Gwen said, remembering the story.

"That was his challenge. This will be your challenge. She is restored and alive for this purpose." Demeter, the goddess of agriculture said.

"Oh, wow." Gwen said, amazed.

"Now, we shall send you to face Medusa. Defeat her with your magic and we will explain what comes next." Ares, the god of war said.

"Wait, right now?" Gwen asked.

"Good luck, blessed mortal." Zeus said as he magically sends Gwen away.

Gwen suddenly appeared on an island. She looked around and noticed a cave.

"Oh man. How'd I ever get tangled up in this whole god and monster thing?" Gwen asked herself.

"I'll do this challenge later; I need to go home." Gwen said preparing to leave.

When she tried to tap her ink pen, nothing happens.

"What? I can't teleport?!" Gwen asked frustratingly.

"Until you complete the challenge, you cannot return to your home beyond earth." Zeus's voice echoed.

Gwen gave an unamused look.

"Fine." Gwen groaned.

Gwen looked toward the cave entrance, took a deep breath and started her way inside. She finds herself in a temple with fire on torches to light the room. Gwen felt scared and looked around for the monster. Thinking she wasn't here, Gwen decided to leave when suddenly…

TWANG!

An arrow shot at Gwen, barely missing her head, making her gasp. Another arrow was shot at her as she quickly took cover behind a pillar. Realizing Medusa was here and knows of her presence, Gwen felt her heart beating as she heard a rattlesnake sound. Unsure what was happening, Gwen magically creates a shield with a mirror. She sees a dark green monstrous woman with her lower half of her body as a snake and her head full of snakes entering the temple.

"I know you're in here… little girl." Medusa said evilly.

Gwen tried to keep very quiet as Medusa was hunting her down either to kill her by arrows or turning her into stone. She thought for a moment and grabbed her ink pen and shot a cyan beam away to distract her. Medusa notices and quickly shot an arrow at the beam while Gwen ran to another pillar to hide.

"You are no ordinary mortal I see. You carry magic in a little bottle and the cosmic powers of the astral plane within you." Medusa called, knowing what Gwen is.

Medusa slithered around, looking for Gwen armed with her bow and arrow.

"If you come out quietly, I'll make you a lovely addition to my collection. It will be less painful." Medusa offered.

Gwen noticed statues of all her victims turned to stone trying to slay Medusa. Knowing what she'll do to her, Gwen does not give in and kept watching her in the mirror shield. For an extra measure, she used the inkwell to turn herself invisible.

"I don't wanna hurt you Medusa. I know what happened to you and you didn't deserve this curse Athena put on you. You begged her for protection from Poseidon, and she wrongfully punished you. He should've been punished, not you." Gwen said, remembering her story.

Following the sound of Gwen's voice, Medusa searched around the pillars.

"You think you know me mortal? He wanted me and I did not want him! How could you know what it's like to have someone want to try to marry you against your will?!" Medusa asked angrily.

Gwen quietly moved to another pillar.

"Because… I too am stalked by a demon who wants me, but I don't want him. And he will stop at nothing to marry me." Gwen hesitantly answered.

Medusa stopped, taking in the words Gwen had said.

"You… are being pursued by a demon? And you have no say in it?" Medusa asked.

"Yes. I am in the same boat as you were. I can help you Medusa. But I can't if you don't let me." Gwen answered, with a few tears.

There was a pause of silence. Gwen thought for a moment she got through to Medusa when suddenly…

TWANG!

Another arrow was shot at Gwen, making her reveal herself as her invisibility was removed.

"There you are!" Medusa yelled.

Gwen quickly took cover behind another pillar before Medusa could turn her into stone. Knowing Medusa was beyond reasoning, she has no choice but to defeat her.

"I'm sorry… but you leave me no choice." Gwen whispered as she grabbed her ink pen.

Medusa started slithering up to Gwen's hiding spot, preparing to turn her into stone. Gwen closed her eyes as her ink pen started glowing. With all her might she turned to face Medusa and shot a green beam from her ink pen at her. Suddenly, Medusa started turning into stone and froze in her place as she tried to turn Gwen into stone but failed.

Gwen sighed of relief and caught her breath. Suddenly, a bright light surrounded her again and she is once again whisked away back to the palace on Mount Olympus. All the gods applaud Gwen for her actions.

"Well done, blessed mortal. You have succeeded the challenge." Zeus congratulated her.

"Well, I really didn't wanna hurt her." Gwen said, feeling remorseful.

"You also have a big heart for others. You wanted to help her." Hera complimented.

"Yeah. She didn't deserve to be cursed by any of you." Gwen admitted as she glared at Athena and Poseidon.

"True." Athena said, feeling guilty as Poseidon nodded.

"So, now that I defeated Medusa, what happens now?" Gwen asked.

"You have proven your worth blessed mortal. Behold your ultimate reward." Zeus said as all the gods raised their arms at Gwen.

Suddenly, their hands started glowing and Gwen is suddenly transformed. She looked and her dress was now a champagne pink gown with a gold belt. She noticed her eyesight was blurry and took her glasses off, now seeing clearly for the first time. And she noticed her body was glowing and she was wearing a golden laurel reed along with a golden necklace with an amethyst gemstone and golden earrings and her silver bracelet.

"What the? What did you do to me?!" Gwen fearfully exclaimed.

"Behold, you are now Gosa, the goddess of imagination." Zeus said as a mirror appeared in front of her.

Gwen gasped at her new appearance and the name Zeus gave her.

"Gosa?" Gwen asked.

"It is a Greek name that means creativity." Hestia, the goddess of hearth and fire explained.

Zeus teleports Gwen to another part of Mount Olympus and appear in front of a beautiful grand palace.

"Woah. What's this?" Gwen asked.

"Behold Gosa. Your very own palace." Zeus answered.

Gwen's eyes widened at the sight. The gods take Gwen inside to show her around.

"This is your own reflecting pool to watch over mortals and hear their prayers to you in a temple in your honor." Poseidon explained the large pool of water and showed her how it works.

Just then, a group of beautiful women approach Gwen and one of them made her hair presentable, another one kept her dress tidy, and another one wiped the dirt off Gwen's arm from the battle with a hot towel.

"Woah! What's going on here?" Gwen asked, confused.

"My lady Gosa, we are your servants. We are honored to be at your command, and we will cater to your every whim." The lead servant explained as they bowed to her.

"Servants?" Gwen asked shockingly.

"Yes, we each have our own servants." Aphrodite explained.

The gods continue to show Gwen around. They take her upstairs and opens a grand door, showing her, the largest and beautiful bed chambers Gwen had ever seen and noticed more servants cleaning it up.

"W-What's this?" Gwen asked, in shock.

"Behold, your bed chambers." Artemis answered.

"Woah." Gwen said.

They continue with the tour. Next, they show Gwen a large throne with an inkwell and ink pen emblem engraved in it.

"Behold, your throne." Hera announced.

Gwen slowly approached the throne and sat down.

"Wow, I never thought all this would happen to me." Gwen said, trying to absorb everything that has happened.

Gwen got up and rejoined the gods.

Just then, a party with buffets of food and wine appeared with a band of musicians playing live music.

"Now that the tour is done, let's celebrate our brand-new goddess Gosa!" Dionysus, the god of wine and parties announced with a glass of wine in his hand and held Gwen's hand up in the air with his other hand.

All the gods started to join the party as Gwen just stood there in total shock. Her servants notice and take Gwen to sit her down to calm her down in her throne.

"My lady, you seem to be in shock. Are you alright?" The lead servant asked.

"Uh…" Gwen was unsure how to answer.

"Well, Gosa, what do you think?" Zeus asked.

"What do I think?" Gwen asked.

Gwen took a deep breath.

"This is so much to take in. And of course, I'd have to leave my friends and family behind and be alone. I… I don't feel ready to be a goddess. I want to live my life my friends, my family. Especially with Clarence, I wanna marry him, raise children of our own. Surely you have families and friends too." Gwen explained her decision.

"If this is what you want, we shall respect your wishes. You are always welcome to your palace anytime." Hera said, understanding.

Gwen smiled at the gods.

"Thank you all." Gwen thanked.

Then, Gwen thought of another idea.

"Hey, do you mind if I have the spirits of two loved ones live here?" Gwen asked.

"Who do you have in mind?" Athena asked.

Gwen smiled, knowing exactly who she has in mind.

Later, Gwen returned to the Inkwell Isles in front of Mount Mugmore and back into her regular outfit and her glasses back.

"Gwen! There you are!" A familiar voice called.

Gwen turned around and saw her sister Rose approaching her.

"I thought I'd find you here. Are you alright?" Rose asked.

Gwen smiled and hugged her sister.

"Oh, I couldn't be better sis." Gwen said happily.

Rose smiled at her sister being happy.

"That's wonderful sis. Now come on. We need to get your wedding guest list, and the seating chart finalized. Your big day is coming up." Rose said as she led Gwen back home.

After more wedding preparations were taken care of, Gwen rejoins her family for dinner. Afterwards, Gwen goes up to her room thinking about everything that's happened in one day.

Just then, her door opened.

"Knock, knock?" Cuphead called.

Cuphead and Mugman stuck their heads in the door.

"Hey guys." Gwen greeted.

Both cups come in and join Gwen on her bed.

"Where have you been today?" Cuphead asked.

"Yeah, earlier you were taking a nap. Then the next thing we knew, you were gone." Mugman said.

"It's okay guys. Nothing happened. I was just out on a walk and sat at Mount Mugmore like I usually do." Gwen lied.

The cups give her a look, knowing she was not being truthful.

"Gwen, where did you really go?" Mugman asked suspiciously.

"Yeah, don't leave us hanging." Ms. Chalice called.

Gwen looked up and noticed Ms. Chalice in her ghost form entering her room from the window. She shapeshifted into her living form and sat on the bed.

Gwen sighed, knowing she can't lie to her best friends.

"Guys, if I tell you, will you all promise me to never ever tell anyone, and I mean anyone about it?" Gwen asked with a serious tone as she raised her pinky finger.

The cups all raised their pinky fingers and wrapped them around Gwen's pinky.

"We promise." All three cups said.

Gwen took a deep breath and started to tell her story of the events that happened today.

After telling the story and noticed her friend's mouths all hung open and their eyes widened. Gwen stared at them, knowing it was going to shock all of them.

"So… you're a goddess now?" Mugman asked, trying to understand.

"No, well at least not yet I dunno. I told them I want to live my life here with you guys. With Clarence, with my family, my dear friends. I would never trade that for immortality." Gwen assured him.

"Wow, so you impressed the gods and now you're gonna be a goddess of imagination in the future?" Cuphead asked.

"Pretty much. They even showed me that I have my own palace, my own servants and even my own throne. Heck, the party god Dionysus threw me a party in my honor." Gwen explained.

Ms. Chalice thought and got an idea.

"Girlfriend, will you take us to your new palace? We wanna see it for ourselves." Ms. Chalice asked eagerly.

"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" Both cups exclaimed.

Gwen sighed.

"I had a feeling you were gonna say that, Chalice." Gwen admitted.

All three cups eagerly grab Gwen's arms as she raised her ink pen and teleported. They appear in the throne room in her palace as her servants approached the group.

"WOAH!" All three cups exclaimed as they stared around the palace.

"My lady Gosa! You have returned!" The lead servant said as they all bowed to Gwen.

"Gosa?" All three cups asked confusingly.

"Oh. That's the goddess name they gave me. But I'm still Gwen." Gwen answered.

"Oh." All three cups said.

"Uh, ladies, I'd like you all to meet my best friends in the whole world: Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice." Gwen introduced the cups to her servants as they nodded their heads.

"Wow, neat throne you got! It's even better than the Devil's!" Cuphead said as he sat in her throne acting like a king.

"Ooh! Pretty pool of water!" Mugman said, looking in the reflecting pool.

"And you got a really fancy schmancy statue!" Ms. Chalice said, looking at a statue in Gwen's honor and her weapons displayed.

"Yeah. It's shocking I know." Gwen said sheepishly as one of her servants handed her a glass of water.

Gwen drinks the water.

"Thank you." Gwen thanked as the servant nodded.

Just then, Gwen remembered something.

"Oh guys! There's something else I wanna show you. Follow me." Gwen said.

The cups followed her upstairs and approach her bed chambers. A servant opens the door as the cups stood wide eyed with their mouths hanging open at the sight of her larger bedroom.

"WOAH!" All three cups exclaimed.

The cups ran inside and looked around. Cuphead climbed on the large bed and started jumping up and down.

"Hey guys! Check this out!" Cuphead called.

Mugman and Ms. Chalice looked and joined Cuphead jumping on the bed.

"Ooh! This is really bouncy!" Mugman admitted.

"Yeah! How do gods sleep on these when they're so bouncy?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"Come on Gweny!" Cuphead called.

Gwen smiled and joined her friends bouncing up and down with them.

"This is great guys! My parents would never let me do this at home!" Gwen said excitedly.

They bounced until they all got tired and rested on the bed together. They all laughed from having fun together.

"That was a blast!" Cuphead said.

"You took the words right out of my mouth." Mugman agreed.

"Yeah, maybe this goddess thing won't be so bad after all. As long as I have you guys and my family." Gwen admitted.

"You know what this calls for fellas?" Ms. Chalice asked as she stood up.

Gwen and the two cups sat up and looked at her. Ms. Chalice grabbed one of the pillows and held it in the air.

"SLUMBER PARTY!" Ms. Chalice yelled.

"Yeah!" Both cups exclaimed and grabbed pillows.

Gwen laughed as she grabbed a pillow and hit Cuphead.

"PILLOW FIGHT!" All four of them exclaimed.

Each of them start hitting each other with pillows. Afterwards, Gwen got an idea and magically created four mattresses and headed to the grand staircase.

"I'll go first guys." Gwen said as she hopped on her mattress.

Two of the servants pushed Gwen and she slid down the stairs and down to the main floor.

"Whoo hoo!" Gwen exclaimed and laughed.

"Neat! Let me try that!" Cuphead said excitedly.

Cuphead got on his mattress and stood like a surfer.

"Let 'er rip!" Cuphead said.

The two servants pushed Cuphead's mattress, and he started surfing down the stairs.

"Surf's up!" Cuphead yelled as he landed down the stairs and spun around.

Mugman hopped on his mattress and the servants pushed him down.

"Whee!" Mugman exclaimed until he landed downstairs.

"My turn!" Ms. Chalice called as she quickly hopped on her mattress.

The servants pushed Ms. Chalice down the stairs and showed off by tap-dancing on the mattress until she reached the bottom of the stairs.

"Top that, fellas!" Ms. Chalice bragged.

"Hey guys, you up for a movie?" Gwen asked as she raised her ink pen.

"YEAH!" All cups exclaimed.

The servants provided the group a large comfy couch as Gwen magically made a projector. A few other servants brought the group platters of buckets of popcorn and glasses of Bubblesweet soda.

Gwen starts the movie and the group all munch on popcorn and drank the soda. After the movie, the group started to get very sleepy from having too much fun.

"This was fun and all but I'm ready to hit the sack." Ms. Chalice said, yawning.

"Yeah, me too." Mugman agreed as he yawned.

"I think we need to call it a night." Cuphead said and yawned.

Gwen magically made the movie projector disappear and noticed her three best friends sleeping.

"Uh ladies, will you carry them up to my chambers?" Gwen asked.

Three servants lift each sleeping cup and followed Gwen up to her new bedroom and placed the cups in her grand bed. Gwen climbs in bed between her friends to try it out as the servants brought her a toothbrush and a cup of water.

"Oh, thank you." Gwen thanked as she started to brush her teeth.

Gwen grabbed the water, rinsed her mouth and spat back in the cup.

"Thank you all for a fun night." Gwen thanked.

"You're always welcome my lady. We shall let you sleep. Good night." The lead servant said.

The servants all leave and close the door as Gwen fell asleep with her friends.

The next morning, Gwen wakes up to the sun shining in her bedroom. She noticed the cups still asleep from the slumber party. The servants enter her room and help Gwen get ready for the day.

"Oh. Good morning, ladies." Gwen kindly greeted.

"Good morning to you, my lady. Your bath is ready." The lead servant said.

"And your outfit and satchel are ready for school." Another servant said.

"Oh, thank you. I have to finish my pottery project today." Gwen said, remembering her assignment.

Gwen steps into her grand bathroom with a large pool of water. Gwen enjoys her bath until she dries up and got ready for school. The servants brushed her hair and helped her dress up.

"Thank you, ladies. I'll grab the cups and take it from here." Gwen said.

Gwen was about to pick up her friends until she remembered something.

"Oh, and make sure Grandpa and Mary are doing well with their new living arrangements. Tend to them if they need anything." Gwen reminded her servants.

"You have our word, Lady Gosa." The lead servant said as they all bowed to Gwen.

"Thank you." Gwen thanked as she went to grab her friends.

Gwen teleports Ms. Chalice back to Clarence's apartment and the cups back to the cottage and puts them all in their beds. Afterwards, Gwen heads back to Inkwell Isles University and joins her class in the pottery room.

Gwen started finishing up her pottery project and painted her three friends on the pot.

"Alright everyone, turn in your Greek potteries please!" The professor called.

Gwen and her class turned in their pottery projects. Afterwards, class is dismissed and Gwen leaves to join Clarence on another date. She happily embraced and kissed him.

"You're in a happy mood today honey." Clarence said as he held her.

"Of course, I am. Especially with you love." Gwen admitted.

Clarence smiled and then led Gwen to their favorite restaurant to have lunch together.

Meanwhile, back at Gwen's palace in Heaven, Earnest along with Mary were both settling into their new home with their new bedrooms.

"Unbelievable. We have a better home here now." Mary said as she took in the view of Heaven.

"Yes, my dear friend. I still can't believe the gods chose my doodlebug to be a goddess of imagination." Earnest said as he was painting on his latest canvas.

"Well, I see why they've chosen her. She has a big heart, and she is strong-willed. She gets that from you." Mary complimented.

"Thank you, Mary. She even convinced the gods to allow us along with everyone else to live with her when it's their time so she will never be alone with her new role." Earnest said as a servant handed him a glass of wine.

"She said it didn't feel right keeping this place all to herself, so she wanted to share it with us and her family. And she said we can always gaze in the reflecting pool to watch our loved ones on Earth." Mary said.

Another servant handed Mary a glass of wine.

"A toast to our new life here in the afterlife." Earnest toasted.

They both clinked their glasses and sipped as they watched the view together.

Gwen was happy with the choice she made to live her life on Earth with her family and friends and will accept her new role when her time comes in the future.
