sword dragon and the phoenix -chapter 13 – showoff and life as devil
this chapter will cover the first 2 episodes of season 2 due to not finding the specials
some Yusuke stuff as well as the battle between team Ravel and team Riser
Yusuke pov
I was training in the woods with Genkai when the pull van pulled up and Halsin and Shirou came out and started to unload things. Then Genkai came up and said, "why do those guys have such an ugly van?" Then Ravel came out and said "lady Genkai, for helping to train my pawn, I have gifts to you. I am sorry if you dislike the van, but my rook is the only member of the peerage that can drive and is my legal guardian, he has strange tastes." Then the old lady asked my blond master "what kind of gifts?" Ravel said, "some of the best beer, wine, cigarettes and meat we could get from clients I have made on the human side, all top shelves." The old woman whistled and said "so this is the perk of working with devils. Have you come to pick my idiot pupil up? I haven't taught him the spirit wave yet." Ravel said, "I need him for an engagement between family and can bring him back later on, when you do teach him the spirit wave, I will provide reward better than the human world can provide."
On the ride back Shirou told me "Another pawn joined our peerage, but she is still in training. I can say she has more potential as a martial artist than you do but about the same level of potential overall you do and only was worth two pawns." I then asked, "where is this girl?" Halsin replied with "she had to run here from the house and either we will pick her up or turn her around and make her run back to the house. Either way you will meet her when we get back. in other news, Kuwabara and Keiko should be able to come to Kou when we win the battle again Riser."
After that Mordred asked, "how was the training?" I replied with "weeks and weeks of pure torture that brought my spirit power up to." As I listed out the menu of things I was forced to do, the twin girls and fae girl stared in pure horror Shirou said "I will have to ask Genkai how each of those help you fight better. So, what did you learn overall." I replied with "I learned to fly a little bit as well as control my spirit power to fight as well as spot my spirit gun many times per day." Ravel then said, "I will use you and Hakufu to take out as many of the pawns as possible while Shirou, Mordred, Artoria and Jan show off the real firepower."
It was a few minutes later, that we saw a busty girl struggling to run and out of pity and getting thing done, Shirou picked her up and said "Hakufu if we didn't have a match tomorrow, I would have you run. But with the progress you made and the need to meet your fellow pawn I will take pity on you today. She was happy to stop as Shirou made introductions in the car. I learned that Shirou saved her after a death match and had Ravel bring her back a devil.
Issei pov
It was about a month after my fight that I was told by Rias "we were going to Ravel face her brother." I then asked, "what happens if each side win?" My king replied "if Riser wins, he gets his sister in his peerage and his sister's peerage under him. but if Ravel wins, Riser loses his inheritance, and his peerage will we under Ravel's control. I don't know how Ravel got her brother to bet so much but she did."
It wasn't that much longer that we got to see how much better Ravel's peerage was than Rias'. I soon learned the top members had powerful divine level sacred gears that broke through Riser's back line with ease. But the two pawns showed they could do much better than I could with Yusuke firing energy blasts like a shotgun and Hakufu was a powerful martial artist in her own right that could take out armed enemies.
Then I got to see what each member could do. First Jan had a sacred gear that could shift between the forms of a shield, full armor and a tank that took out a few members. Then I saw Artoria was a martial arts master that could use shields and stuff that was clearly a holy weapon. Then Mordred showed she could release bursts of holy lightning by swinging her blade down as Kiba explained what it was and how much he disliked her blade.
Finally, I got to see Shirou face Riser's queen and reveal his style of fighting was completely different than Akeno as he would switch between using a bow at long range and magic to counter his enemy's spells and paired swords at short range, he quickly overpowered the queen without showing off his platinum armor. But with all the other pieces down Shirou made with way to Riser and showed much like Kiba he could make magic swords, but unlike Kiba Shirou wasn't making them from scratch but could make copies of famous blades from history both holy and demonic. Shirou started by using his armor as defense as he bombarded Riser with Holy swords that even Kiba couldn't name each turned into arrow and I could tell each arrow slowed Riser more and more.
In my head Ddraig said to me "this platinum dragon emperor is playing with the golden bird. He could win any time he wanted to." I wasn't long before Riser passed out and the battle was over. Each member of the peerage was stunned at how much faster Ravel did the job in a few minutes that it took hours of set up for our peerage to nearly do. Ddraig even said to me "it was more a game that anything serious, that many powerful Camelot level weapons could even give me issues in my prime and we still don't fully know what this platinum dragon emperor can do."
I then mentioned out loud, the fact Freed spilled to me about Shirou killing Kirei Kotomine and with that Rias' brother said "I have heard rumors about that name and how dangerous he was, if Shirou killed that man, he could be more useful that he showed now. I then asked the devil lord, "who was Kirei Kotomine?" he replied with "according to rumors, he was a priest that could use magecraft, beyond that not much information got out due to the man not really in direct opposition to devils,"
Yusuke pov
It wasn't long after our win, we had a party at the house and Ravel told me "Good news Kuwabara, his friend and Keiko will be transferring into Kou very soon." I was happy Kuwabara and Keiko would get a chance to attend a much better school that our former one. But the next thing didn't make me as happy when Boton showed up with a message from Koenma.
Said message was "I need your help to deal with a problem, a group a Yokai calling themselves the Saint beasts are threatening to release dangerous insects from the yokai world into the human world. I will need you Yusuke and a team of three others to go their palace and stop said beasts. As well I wish to hire, you Ravel and the rest of your peerage to keep the infected from doing too much damage to Yusuke's former city and contain or purify the infected as well. knowing your fees, it is cheaper to use people in dept to me directly than attack the castle with higher level devils."
With that Boton took me to the entry site, while the rest of the peerage prepared for damage control and extraction.
Issei pov
It was the next morning, and I woke up to deal with both nudity from Rias and Asia and I knew I would have to get ready for school and training soon. what Shirou showed off and what Yusuke told me about his sempai in the peerage made me want to push myself further. After that came school and having to deal with all the rumors spreading and about stuff I was doing and not doing as well stuff Shirou was doing and really was doing.
After that came the major issue, I had in making the deal with Ddraig. Said deal left my arm stuck in dragon state unless I had the girl regularly drain the mana from my hand. with Akeno being the main person to drain it.
After that, I went hunting contracts as Rias informed me due to a large contract, I could get work covering some of the Pheonix family contracts for a short time. The first contract was meeting with and drinking with a middle-aged man. But after that Rias called me to deal with a rogue devil.
The problem came that in the battle for some reason Kiba wasn't spacing out and not had to be saved by Koneko and I. but I with minimal trouble we were able to take the devil down with ease. I could tell something involving a holy sword was causing the boy to stress.
After we got back to my house, Rias revealed to Asia and I that Kiba was involved in a project to make new holy swords and only survived with the help of Rias. Not much later, I figured that one of the family photos triggered Kiba due having a holy sword as well as seeing the blades Ravel Pheonix peerage used didn't help his mood either. After that Rias told me, my old friend's family owned a lower-level holy sword.
After that I ended up in a battle with who to sleep with between Asia and Rias tonight and ended up having to deal with both.
Shirou pov
After I vigorous session of trying to get both Ravel and Artoria pregnant, we were woken up by Merlin saying, "there's a problem, one of the Excalibur fragments has shown up in Kou in the hands of a rogue priest you met a few months ago." After that he told us about Excalibur and the fact humans stole it from the Fae during the hundred years war. then he told us, "You will need to gather all the pieces and reforge or find a way to reforge them before an ancient enemy rises again."
I then asked to Merlin "how long were you watching?" he replied with the "whole time, I need my fun. When you do go, I suggest anybody that fights the Excalibur holders has on armor or uses shields. Artoria's barrier, yours, Jan's and Mordred's armor should be able to resist the effects but try not to take too much damage. Also don't let the blades get destroyed no matter what."
Merlin made a gate to the location of the sword, but we missed it by a few seconds and found a wounded Kiba. We did our best to provide first aid, but the boy ran off half healed. After that Merlin popped back in and said "your next key will come from the church girls holding other fragments of the blade."
Issei pov
I woke up with two naked girls on me and they quickly told me nothing happened but got dressed to start breakfast. But as they cooked and I got ready, my dragon warned me about his rival dragon, the vanishing dragon was near and that I would have to him soon. He was sure how helpful the platinum dragon would be.
After that, we met with Rias about what was going on and about Excalibur and Kiba's connection to the seven blades it was split into. Then Rias told us she saved Kiba from the project and made him into a devil. After that, I talked with Koneko about Kiba, and she said it would be good to find him soon.
After I parted with the small girl, I went home but, on the way, I had a strange sensation and rushed to find my mom. I saw her with two strange girls and one of them my mother revealed was my childhood friend and the friend I learned about was really a very pretty girl. but as soon as Rias arrived the two girls left. After that Rias told me we would meet those two girls soon.
The next day, there was a meeting between the two girls, Rias' peerage and Ravel's peerage. in said meeting Shirou revealed "king Arthur was a woman, but carriers of his legacy were the children of Gawain and the child of Mordred. The two girls seemed to not care about those facts like they already knew them. but more problems came when the blue haired girl decided to pick a fight with Asia. That lead to the two revealing they had Excalibur fragments and getting into a sparing match between the two girls and Kiba and I with Shirou watching in the wings. As he said feel free to pop in any time Merlin. With that a man with white hair and a black suit showed up and said, "I will judge this match."

Next chapter will have the devils clash with the church girls while merlin explains what's going on and about their enemies
