Sunday Night HEAT: 16/8/1998
Sunday Night HEAT was live at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska. Following the segment with Sable, Jacqueline and Marc Mero, the next match was Brian Christopher vs The Bladewolf, who is making his HEAT debut tonight.
In the arena, Brian Christopher's theme hits and he makes his way out with a cocky strut.
"This next contest is scheduled for one-fall!" Tony Chimel began. "First, making his way to the ring, from Memphis, Tennesse, weighing 214 lbs... BRIAN CHRISTOPHER!"
"Brian Christopher, set to go one-on-one with the Bladewolf, who is making his first appearance on HEAT in his HEAT debut match." JR said.
"Oh, I'm excited for this one, JR!" Shane clapped and rubbed his hands together. "I've watched the Bladewolf, and that guy never ceases to amaze me."
"Well, glad you think so." JR said.
Christopher arrogantly and cockily made his way down to the ring, mouthing off to some of the fans and calling himself the sexiest thing alive on the planet before entering the ring. His theme dies down as he takes off his vest, waiting for his opponent.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf played to a loud cheer from the fans as the lights switched to the sinister blood red and dark blue before the Bladewolf walked out with the WWF Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Bladewolf stood at the entrance and adjusted his right elbow pad before he made his way towards the ring.
"And his opponent, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs, the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Tony Chimel announced before leaving the ring.
"Wow." Shane said. "You know, seeing the guy's entrance on TV is one thing. But to be there in person for it? It's entirely different."
"I agree with you." JR nodded. "The Bladewolf is the reigning Intercontinental Champion, and has held that title for 104 days thus far. He is also the youngest Champion, youngest World Champion and youngest King of the Ring winner. And he's not even hit a year in the WWF yet, Shane."
"Very impressive." Shane nodded.
The Bladewolf stops at the end of the ramp, staring directly at Brian Christopher before he walks forward, grabs the top rope and pulls himself up onto the ring apron before stepping foot over the top rope. Bladewolf stood as still as a statue, staring at Christopher as the lights returned to normal and his theme died down.
The referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
"So here we go." JR said. "The Bladewolf, making his Sunday Night HEAT debut."
Christopher preps himself in the corner while Bladewolf just stares at him coldly. He then strode forward, but faltered when Bladewolf took a single step forward.
"And Brian Christopher backing off." JR said as Christopher took several steps backwards.
"Can't really blame him for that, not when that guy is standing across from me." Shane said.
Christopher nods as he keeps backing up... when he suddenly charges an clobbers the Bladewolf in his masked face with a right hand.
"And Brian Christopher with a right hand!" JR shouted, but the Bladewolf barely moved, only turning his head. "But the Bladewolf didn't even feel it."
"That man is not human." Shane shook his head.
Christopher lands another right hand, but the Bladewolf didn't even flinch, then there was another punch, then another, but still the Bladewolf seemed impervious to the punches as he took a single step forward which scared Christopher into backing to the corner, arms raised in a plea for mercy.
"And the Bladewolf now moving forward." JR said. "Brian Christopher trying to plea for mercy."
The Bladewolf stares Christopher down before he suddenly latches his hand around Christopher's throat and begins choking him in the corner.
"Bladewolf! Bladewolf Choking Brian Christopher!" JR exclaimed.
The referee ran forward to interfere. "Let him go! One! Two-!" The referee quickly scampered back when the Bladewolf released Christopher and whirled around on him.
"Woah!" Shane exclaimed.
"The referee backing right off, and I can't blame him." JR said.
The Bladewolf turned back to Christopher and lands a big right hand, making Christopher lean on the top rope. Bladewolf brings a forearm down across his back, then manhandles Christopher into the corner again where he lands a right hand, followed by a left, then a right uppercut before following it up with an elbow to the side of Christopher's head, making the fall man down onto his backside.
The Bladewolf delivers a couple of slow, hard stomps to Christopher's chest before he pulls him to his feet and scoops him up onto his shoulder, walks to the center of the ring with him and then slams him down with a powerslam.
"Oh! What a powerslam, with impact." Vince said.
"And Brian Christopher is feeling the pain." JR added as Christopher writhes in pain.
The Bladewolf flips his hair back before he raises his right hand and brings it down onto Christopher's throat, pulling the man to his feet with the use of one arm as Christopher clutched at his arm in an effort to get released. The Bladewolf wasted no time in lifting Christopher up... AND SLAMS HIM DOWN WITH A CHOKESLAM!
"Chokeslam!" JR exclaimed.
Bladewolf gets to a knee and places a hand on Christopher's chest for the cover.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three! Ring the bell!" The referee called.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf played as Bladewolf stands up and glares around. "Here is your winner... THE BLADEWOLF!"
"Dominant as ever." JR said. "The Bladewolf making a big impression in his Sunday Night HEAT debut."
"Amazing." Shane agreed.
Bladewolf takes his title from the referee and then leaves the ring, making his way to the back.
And that's it for this one. Hope you enjoyed.
