RAW is WAR: 17/8/1998

RAW is WAR was live at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa. The current match was a Street Fight between The Nation and DX.

The Rock lands the People's Elbow on Road Dogg. Billy Gunn breaks up the pin and gives Rock a piledriver on a baking sheet. Hey look, it's JEFF JARRETT. He goes right after X-Pac who is already in fighting mode. X-Pac pounds on Jarrett with his back to the rampway as SOUTHERN JUSTICE appears and saves Jarrett. With X-Pac down, Jarrett pulls out some clippers and cuts off some of X-Pac's hair.

By the way, Triple H takes ROCK BOTTOM in the ring. Oh man. Jarrett and Southern Justice start beating up Billy Gunn while X-Pac makes the save with a trash can. Meanwhile, Triple H gets busted open as he's being mugged by the Nation. A ladder gets put in the ring as the Nation continue to abuse Helmsley. Southern Justice and Jarrett continue to beat up on X-Pac and the Outlaws.

As this was all happening, the crowd started to cheer when they saw the Bladewolf making his way down to the ring.

"Oh no!" Jerry said upon seeing the Intercontinental Champion.

"Oh goo God in Heaven, it's the Bladewolf!" JR added. "And he's walking with purpose!"

As Bladewolf makes it to the bottom of the ramp, he uppercuts Jeff Jarrett, knocking him to the floor. Southern Justice charge at him, but Bladewolf takes them out with a double clothesline.

"The Bladewolf is taking out everybody in sight!" JR exclaimed. Bladewolf grabs X-Pac and throws him into the steel steps hard, sending the steps onto their side. "Oh!"

"That had to hurt!" Jerry said.

Road Dogg attacks Bladewolf from behind, delivering several forearms to the back but Bladewolf shrugs them off as he turns around to glare at Road Dogg, then promptly drops him with a right punch before pulling him to his feet and throwing him head-first into the steel ring post.

"Oh!" Jerry winced.

"Headfirst off the steel ring post!" JR added. The camera got close to Road Dogg, showing he was busted open. "And Road Dogg is bleeding!"

Bladewolf flips his hair back before he looks around and then picks up a trash can. He whirls around and... SMACKS IT RIGHT OFF JEFF JARRETT'S HEAD!

"Oh!" Jerry winced at the impact.

"Bladewolf with that trash can in hand!" JR said.

Bladewolf hits everybody that's outside the ring, and once they're down for the count, Bladewolf turns his attention to those in the ring, tossing the trash can aside before he climbs onto the ring apron and steps over the top rope. Mark Henry charges at him with the cookie sheet in hand... BUT BLADEWOLF PUNCHES IT INTO HIS FACE!

"Oh! Mark Henry with the cookie sheet to the face!" JR exclaimed.

As Henry goes down, D'Lo Brown runs up with a cookie sheet in hand, rears back and... SMACKS IT RIGHT OFF THE SKULL OF THE BLADEWOLF!

"Oh! Right off the skull!" JR shouted, but Bladewolf remained standing. "But he's still on his feet!"

"No effect!" Jerry shook his head.

"No effect at all!" JR agreed.

Brown's eyes widened at seeing this, and Bladewolf snatched the cookie sheet out of his hands, reared back and... SMACKED IT RIGHT OFF BROWN'S SKULL!

"And Bladewolf with the cookie sheet! Right off D'Lo Brown's skull!" JR shouted as Brown went down.

The Rock whirls Bladewolf around and lands a series of rights to the Intercontinental Champion that don't seem to hurt the man, before the Rock runs, rebounds off the ropes and comes running straight into a big boot from Bladewolf.

"And Bladewolf with a big boot to the Rock!" JR said.

Bladewolf stares down at the Rock before he bends down and grabs him by the throat, pulling him up to his feet. Bladewolf eyes the nearby ladder and then lifts the Rock up... AND CHOKESLAMS HIM ONTO THE LADDER!

"Oh my God!" JR exclaimed.

"Ouch!" Jerry had to admit, that had to hurt.

"A Chokeslam onto the ladder!" JR shouted.

Bladewolf looks around, then spots Triple H on the mat. He walks over and grabs the man, pulling him to his feet then scoops him up over his right shoulder. He gets him into position and then... HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!

"Tombstone!" JR exclaimed. "There are bodies lying everywhere!"

Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs the Rock's body and drags him over to Triple H's, placing the Rock over Triple H before leaving the ring.

"What the...?" Jerry was confused as the referee counts.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three! Ring the bell!" The referee called.

'Ding! Ding! Ding!'

"The Nation wins the Street Fight!" JR said as the Rock's theme played.

At ringside, Bladewolf takes his Intercontinental title back and proceeds to go back up the ramp and to the back.

It would be announced, later, that the Bladewolf will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Triple H and the Rock in a Triple Threat Ladder match at SummerSlam...

And that's it for this chapter.
