RAW is WAR: 24/8/1998
RAW is WAR was live at Corestates Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As the show opens, the Undertaker is shown walking out of his locker room, and behind him come Kane and the Bladewolf.
The opening video for RAW is WAR plays, followed by the pyro going off as the show is now live, and the crowd are cheering loudly.
"The final stop on the highway to hell that will end this Sunday at SummerSlam is right here tonight, live, in Philadelphia." JR said. "And the center has been sold out for over a month. I'm Jim Ross, alongside Jerry 'The King' Lawler. And folks, we just saw the Undertaker, the Bladewolf and Kane, at the start of the program, coming out of the locker room. And King, I think that puts the nail, no pun intended, in the coffin."
"I told you!" Jerry said. "I'be been screaming it to the world! There's some kind of collution. There's some kind of conspiracy. That proves it!"
As the RAW theme dies down, the lights go out and the Undertaker's new theme plays to a loud cheer from the fans.
"Maybe we'll get our answers right here, right now." JR stated.
"Yes!" Jerry shouted.
The pyro explodes and soon, the Undertaker, the Bladewolf and Kane walk out together.
"And there they come." JR said.
"Look at that!" Jerry exclaimed.
"What an auspicious occasion. History in the making right here." JR said, watching as the brothers make their way towards the ring. "The first time publicly that Kane, the Bladewolf and the Undertaker have walked side-by-side. Step-for-step. Brother with brother. And that means trouble for Stone Cold Steve Austin this Sunday on PPV for the WWF Title."
"I can't believe it, JR!" Jerry shook his head. "Kane, the Bladewolf and the Undertaker, arm in arm. Brothers finally united!"
The brothers make it to the ring, with the Undertaker walking up the steel steps while Bladewolf and Kane remain standing at ringside.
"Stone Cold has said that he will eliminate the Undertaker, or Kane or the Bladewolf before SummerSlam." JR said. The Undertaker raises his arms, and the lights return to normal as Bladewolf and Kane climbed onto the apron and step over the top rope while Undertaker enters between the ropes. "And will this be the night that that head-on collision occurs here on RAW?"
Undertaker grabs a microphone as Bladewolf and Kane stand in the center of the ring, watching their older brother, as his theme dies down.
Before the Undertaker could speak, the crowd starts booing as Vince McMahon walks out with a big smile on his face.
"And here comes the owner of the World Wrestling Federation, Mr. McMahon." JR said. "Maybe he can share some of his wisdom, and some light, on this subject."
"Well, he's obviously happy about this." Jerry pointed out.
Vince makes his way to the ring and enters, looking entirely too gleeful and happy as the three brothers stare at him.
"Well, finally Undertaker, Bladewolf and Kane have come out of the casket." Vince announced, earning boos from the crowd. "This is the best television since President Clinton's mayacupa about a week ago. After all those lies, finally, we get to the truth. And the truth is, ladies and gentlemen, I told you so."
"He did, JR." Jerry said as the crowd booed. "He was right all along."
"Let me repeat that; the truth is... I told you so." Vince said with a smug smile, to which the crowd continued to boo him. "There's no doubt, that Undertaker, Bladewolf and Kane combined make the most awesome, the most destructive force in the history of the World Wrestling Federation. There's no doubt, that with Kane and Bladewolf at your side, this Sunday at SummerSlam, there's no doubt that you don't need Vince McMahon to become the WWF Champion at SummerSlam."
"Wow." Jerry said.
"because let me go on record since we're telling the truth." Vince said, the crowd starting an 'Austin' chant. "With or without Vince McMahon, with Kane and Bladewolf at your side, you will be the World Wrestling Federation Champion once again at SummerSlam. However, Undertaker, as you look to your reign as WWF Champion, there will come a time where you need Vince McMahon."
"Oh yeah." Jerry nodded, even as the crowd booed in disagreement.
"You'll need Vince McMahon, for my wisdom. You'll need Vince McMahon, for my brilliant strategy." Vince said. Undertaker bent down to grab his microphone. "And Undertaker... I'm talking to you."
Undertaker straightened up and took a step towards Vince, causing the man to back up as the Phenom glared at him.
"You will need Vince McMahon... for my friendship." Vince continued after backing up.
JR rolled his eyes. "Oh man."
"That's right, friendship." Jerry nodded.
"And so, Undertaker, I ask you. Vince McMahon; friend of foe?" Vince asked.
"Friend! Friend!" Jerry urged.
"Now before this night is over, you think about that." Vince said. "But before this night is over, I want an answer. Vince McMahon; friend or foe? You ponder that."
Suddenly, Paul bearer starts making his way down to the ring.
"And here comes Paul Bearer, where does he fit in this equation?" JR questioned. "And why is the Hell in a Cell hanging above us?"
"I don't know, but Paul Bearer is headed down to the ring." Jerry said.
"And he doesn't have a very pleasant look on his face does the father of Kane." JR said.
"This is unbelievable!" Jerry shakes his head. "Kane, the Bladewolf and the Undertaker come out here, arm in arm."
"has the Undertaker taken Kane from Kane's own father, Paul Bearer?" JR questioned.
"Paul, come on in." Vince gestured for the man to enter the ring.
As Paul enters the ring, Vince holds the microphone out to him. "Son!" Paul started, Kane lowering his head in almost shame. "Tell me it's not true! Tell me it's all been a lie! Tell me it's all been a dreadful nightmare! It's me! Your father's talking to you! I'm the one who's always been there for you! I'm the one, son, that's always loved you! Something your own mother didn't even do, that sleezy whore!"
"Oh!" Jerry's eyes widened.
"Oh my God." JR muttered.
As soon as their mother was insulted, Undertaker and Bladewolf took threatening steps forward but Kane held an arm out to stop them. The brothers stare at each other silently, Undertaker putting his hands on his hips.
"You two stay out of this." Paul said to them, earning a raised eyebrow from Undertaker. "look me in the eyes, son! look me in the eyes! The same blood that runs through my veins runs through yours. I've never lied to you. You know who's being honest and you know who's being decietful. Listen to me, son, I'm your dad. Do one last thing for me, if you never do anything else." He pointed at Undertaker. "Destroy him!"
"Woah!" Jerry's eyes widened. "Paul Bearer wants Kane to turn on the Undertaker again!"
"Destroy... please, for daddy." Paul begged.
"For daddy?" JR frowned.
Kane turned away.
"Bladewolf!" Paul turned to the other silent brother. "It's obvious that the Undertaker has some sort of control over you ever since you reunited with him. Please... break free and destroy him!"
"And now he wants Bladewolf to turn on the Undertaker!" Jerry said.
Bladewolf looks at Undertaker, who nods, and Bladewolf boots Paul bearer in the face and begins pounding away on the fat man.
"And the Bladewolf!" JR exclaimed. "The Undertaker sent Bladewolf a nod, and now he's pummeling Paul Bearer. And Kane is doing nothing about it!"
"No!" Jerry shouted.
"That seals it! That seals it!" JR said. Mankind is seen coming down to the ring. "Here comes Mankind! Kane's tag team partner, they're the WWF Tag Champions."
Mankind slides into the ring, his back to the brothers, and Undertaker hammers him from behind. Mankind doesn't even fight back as Undertaker and Kane start beating the hell out of him while Bladewolf is still hammering away on Paul Bearer before he briefly stops to get in his hits on Mankind while Undertaker takes his shots in on Paul Bearer.
"Mankind is not even fighting back!" Jr said. "He's just accepting this butt-whipping!"
Kane grabs Mankind and lifts him up into the Tombstone position while Bladewolf goes to the top turnbuckle, then jumps off... AND THEY HIT A SPIKE TOMBSTONE!
"Spike Tombstone!" JR shouted. "Good God Almighty, a spike Tombstone! Mankind's career may have just ended!"
As the brothers stand together and survey the carnage, Vince gets on the ring apron with a microphone, drawing their attention. "And now, Undertaker, let me remind you. There's only one man left, standing between you and the WWF Championship. And that one man is quaking in his boots. That one man that you will defeat at SummerSlam, Stone Cold Steve Austin."
The glass shatters and Stone Cold's theme hits to a pop as the Texas Rattlesnake walks out.
"Well, those boots are walking. They're not quaking and here comes the Rattlesnake." JR said.
Austin pauses on the stage, then takes a step forward... WHEN A WALL OF FIRE SHOOTS UP IN FRONT OF HIM!
"Ah!" Jerry screamed.
"My God, there's a wall of fire!" JR exclaimed.
Austin backs off a little as the fire dies down, then he glares at the men in the ring. "i knew all along that you three were together, and you're having a little family reunion and I damn near got all choked up in the back about it, because I feel so happy for you. You son of a bitch, you damn near set me on fire, and I don't appreciate that none. SummerSlam is six days away and i know better than ever, it will take a hell of an effort on Stone Cold Steve Austin's part to beat one of you. To beat you, Undertaker, it will take a hell of an effort. But against the three of you big bastard, I know I ain't got much of a chance."
"he knows it, JR." Jerry said.
"He's right. Who could have a chance against these three monsters?" JR questioned.
"So you can rest assured, you better grow some eyes in the back of your head because Stone Cold Steve Austin is going to take somebody out tonight." Austin said.
"What?" Jerry blinked.
"And by God, he means it." JR said.
"You stand there, and you play with fire, and you think you're in Stone Cold Steve Austin's head, I'm gonna tell you something." Austin said, pointing at Undertaker. "When I get your ass at SummerSlam, I'm gonna burn your ass. And that's the bottom line 'cause Stone Cold said so!"
Austin's theme plays as the WWF Champion stares down the Undertaker before going to the back.
After the New Age Outlaws vs Southern Justice match, the next one is the Bladewolf vs Mankind in a Hell in a Cell match, made by Vince McMahon after Mankindrevealed Vince had offered him the chance.
After RAW came back from the commercial break, the Hell in a Cell is lowering to the ring.
"We are live, ladies and gentlemen, here in Philadelphia." JR announced. "Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler at ringside. The cell is lowering for the Mankind/Bladewolf matchup. And remember, Mankind is one half of the Tag Team Champions with Kane, they are still Tag Team partners. And, if they're able, they're going to defend the titles against the Outlaws this Sunday."
"How?" Jerry questioned.
"And the Bladewolf is defending his Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat Ladder match against Triple H and the Rock." JR continued.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf played to a loud cheer from the fans as the lights switched to the sinister blood red and dark blue before the Bladewolf walked out, accompanied by the Undertaker and Kane, and the WWF Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Bladewolf stood at the entrance and adjusted his right elbow pad before he made his way towards the ring alongside his brothers.
"And here they come." JR said. "This will be the Bladewolf's first Hell in a Cell match. And, I feel he's going to be very much at home in such a demonic structure."
The bell rings and Tony Chimel begins introductions. "The following contest is a Hell in a Cell match, schedule for one-fall. Making his way to the ring, accompanied by Kane and the Undertaker, he weighs in at 310 lbs, and is the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!"
"Look at those three men." JR gestured to them as they walked down the ramp. "That's the three reasons that Steve Austin, in all certainty, all provability, will be unable to leave SummerSlam, Sunday, with the WWF Title. No mortal being, no one human being walking the face of this Earth can get by those three. And you damn sure know, King, they'll be together this Sunday at SummerSlam."
Bladewolf stops at the end of the ramp, looking over the Hell in a Cell. He takes off his Intercontinental Championship and hands it to the referee at the door before entering. He climbs onto the apron and steps over the top rope, adjusting his elbow pad as he turns around, his theme dying down and the lights returning to normal.
Mankind's theme then plays and out comes the deranged alter ego of Mick Foley.
"And his opponent, he weighs in at 287 lbs... MANKIND!" Tony Chimel announced.
"Well, earlier tonight, it was certainly revealed that Kane, the Bladewolf and the Undertaker were together as brothers." JR said Mankind makes his way towards the ring. "And that break-up was vile, not only on Paul Bearer's part."
Mankind tries to climb the cell but two referees pull him away, causing him to punch them down. "Look at this!" Jerry exclaimed.
"Oh my!" JR blinked. Mankind starts climbing the cell. "Mankind nailed a couple of referees. I don't think he even knows what he's doing."
Referee Tim White pulls Mankind back down, getting a punch from the man. Anyone who tries to stop Mankind from climbing the cell is punched by the man. Impatient, Bladewolf leaves the ring and makes for the door... WHEN MANKIND SHOVES THE DOOR IN HIS FACE!
"Oh!" Jerry winced.
"Mankind shoving the door into the Bladewolf." JR said. Mankind does it again, bringing Bladewolf to a knee.
"oh man!" Jerry exclaimed.
"This is going to get awfully ugly awfully quick." JR said.
Mankind backs up as Bladewolf gets to a knee, then charges to drive his knee into Bladewolf, knocking the big man down onto his side. Mankind then exits the cell and begins to walk around it. He makes it to the timekeeper's area and picks up a steel chair, attempting to toss it onto the top of the cell but it misses and falls down. Mankind attempts it again, and fails.
"He's lost it." JR shook his head. Mankind begins to climb the cell. "And now he's climbing the cell."
Before Mankind could get to the top, the Undertaker and Kane are there, climb up to meet Mankind before grabbing him and together... THEY THROW HIM DOWN INTO THE SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE!
"Oh God Almighty, he's down!" JR exclaimed. "Good God, it's happened again! Mankind's body just splat on the concrete!"
"I knew this was going to happen!" Jerry shouted.
"It's carnage out here!" JR shook his head.
'Austin! Austin! Austin!' The crowd chanted, Bladewolf looking around at them for a moment from inside the ring, watching as Kane and Undertaker get their shots in on Mankind before Kane brings him around to the cell door, and rams his head off the cell wall. Bladewolf rolls out the ring and walks over to the downed Mankind who is halfway through the door.
"What else is going to happen here?" JR questioned.
Bladewolf stomps on Mankind twice, then grabs the cell door... AND RAMS IT INTO MANKIND'S RIBCAGE!
"Oh!" Jerry winced.
"Oh God!" JR grimaced.
Bladewolf flips his hair back before stomping away on Mankind's chest, then pulls him to his feet and tosses him into the ring. Behind him, the referee's are closing the cell door and locking it. Bladewolf walks over to the steel steps and tosses them into the ring.
"This is not going to be good." JR said.
Bladewolf slides into the ring and stands up, picking up the steel steps. Mankind gets to his feet and turns around... ONLY TO GET BASHED IN THE FACE WITH THE STEPS!
"Oh my God!" Jerry shouted.
"Right off the face is those steel steps!" JR added. Bladewolf drives the steps into Mankind's ribcage. "Oh! And now at the ribs!"
Bladewolf tosses the steel steps down, then flips his hair back before he bends down and grabs Mankind by the throat, pulling him to his feet. Bladewolf eyes the steel steps, then lifts Mankind up... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM ONTO THE STEEL STEPS!
"Oh!" Jerry's eyes widened.
"A Chokeslam! A Chokeslam onto the steel steps!" JR shouted.
Bladewolf wasn't done as he grabs Mankind and scoops him up onto his shoulders and... HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF! He rolls Mankind onto his back and hooks the legs.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three! Ring the bell!" The referee called.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
"oh thank God, this is over." JR said in relief.
As Bladewolf's theme starts to play... STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN COMES OUT FROM UNDERNEATH THE RING AND ATTACKS BLADEWOLF FROM BEHIND!
"It's Austin! It's Austin!" JR shouted.
"Where did he come from?!" Jerry shouted. Kane and Undertaker are frantically trying to get inside as Austin stomps away on Bladewolf.
"Kane and the Undertaker are trying to get inside and protect their baby brother, but can't!" JR said.
Austin slides out of the ring and grabs a steel chair from underneath it, then rolls back into the ring as Bladewolf stumbles to his feet and... GETS WHACKED IN THE SKULL WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!
"Good God Almighty! A steel chair right off the skull!" JR shouted.
Bladewolf weakly tries to sit up, with Austin goading him. Bladewolf grabs the ropes to pull himself to his feet, then turns around into a kick to the stomach and... IS HIT WITH THE STONE COLD STUNNER!
"Stunner! Stunner!" JR exclaimed. "The Bladewolf is out!"
Austin gives the middle fingers to Kane and the Undertaker as his theme plays and RAW goes to commercial break.
*After the commercial break*
Following the break, the Bladewolf, Kane and the Undertaker are still in the ring as the Hell in a Cell is raised. Bladewolf is bleeding from the top of the head. Undertaker has a microphone.
"Austin." Undertaker began. "i have given you far too much respect. Because what you just did is come out here, in front of millions of people, and prove that you are nothing more than a coward." The crowd boos in response. "You jumped Bladewolf from behind with no provocation. Well, you need to understand this. When you jumped him, you sealed your fate. And tonight... before this night ends, you will come face to face with your destiny. This has nothing to do with SummerSlam. This is personal."
Undertaker's theme plays as they stand in the ring.
