While being stranded on an Island after being defeated by Kirby,Dedede is met by Meta Knight & suggests an alliance.
visits Dreamland where Kirby is awarded as a hero by the Dream Landers. While the two celebrated with their animal friends,Kirby & Adeleine are attacked by Dedede & Meta Knight. Adeleine & the Dream Landers are captured,but Kirby is saved by Marx,who explains that Dedede's goal is to go after Galactic Nova so he could wish to take over Planet Popstar.
Kirby agrees to help. Dedede & Meta Knight learned what Kirby is planning & sent Chameleo Arm to attack. Kirby transforms into Paint Kirby to defeat him. He was later confronted by Meta Knight,who revealed that He was cast out because he has gotten his warriors killed during the battle with the Dark Armies. Kirby summons Galactic Nova with the power of the Star that are found on different planets. He was about to make his wish,but Marx knocked him out & wish to conquer Planet Popstar.
Marx transforms into his Monster form & reveals that He was the one who is after Galactic Nova. Kirby transforms into Sword Kirby and save Adeleine & the Dream Landers. He battles with Meta Knight while Dedede's Ship gets blown away by Marx. Nova begins looming towards Popstar. Kirby & Meta Knight decides to team up & injures Nova. Kirby battles with Marx,but gets overpowered. Meta Knight assembles 3 Pieces into Dragoon,allowing Kirby to fly it into Marx,hurling him into Nova & destroy them both.
During the celebration,Meta Knight tells Kirby that his Ship was stolen by "Strange Black Persons".

As Dedede was drift into space,Master Hand appears & invites him to join him.
