A Double Twisted Nightmare Chapter 6
July 7th - Unknown Island
Chris and Claire had finally arrived at Alex's island. Stuart showed them their quarters and has people bring their stuff out of the plane to their rooms. He then gave them a tour of the place, excluding certain areas. They were both glad, because at this point they would have stopped whatever is going on behind those doors.
They signed as they stared out at the ocean, looking calm and peaceful. They wished they had feel the same as the scenery.
"How are you feeling Claire?" Chris asks his sister. "Like a hurricane just ripped me up from everything I've known and dumped me clear out to the middle of nowhere, where nothing is even remotely familiar." Claire answers. "Likewise." Chris said still staring out the ocean.
They are silent for a moment before Stuart comes up to them saying its time for dinner.
July 8th - Raccoon City
Alex just proved to everyone why she was made point man, by taking care of a shooter in the mall by going up to the roof, shooting him once in the leg and the arm.
The suspect was brought in, and everyone congratulated Alex for stopping him. "Been sometime since action got my blood pumping." she said taking praise in stride. She is wearing grayish white S.T.A.R.S. standard issue clothes.
Later she is invited out to drinks with the others but she declines preferring to stay with her brother then celebrate. The others shrug, "They're definitely brother and sister." Brad said as they leave the station.
Wesker and Alex meet in his office, "Honestly, they all act like we found the cure to man's stupidity. All we did was stop one man and they want to celebrate that? I'll be happy once this is over." Alex said not impressed.
Wesker replies, "Soon Alex. Soon we will be done with the charade."
July 10th - Unknown Island
Chris and Claire were able to make themselves comfortable, in the last couple of days. They went to the shooting range and practice arms there. They also went to the training area to work on moves.
Unfortunately a couple of hotheads, who had recently joined island security, that lived on the island challenged them to a fight. The Redfield siblings won the fights and Stuart told them that unless they wanted to, they should not fight them.
Nursing the bruises they got from their 'new friends', they went to the library. Claire had to ask Stuart to bring reading material that they can read, not all science and viruses. Stuart had brought them all kinds of books, and Chris had joined Claire in reading for lack of anything else.
"Hey Stuart can I use the kitchen?" Chris asked. "Of course, but why? We have talented chefs here, you don't have to make your own meals." he asked.
"I know but just training alone isn't gonna help me stay focused. I need other outlets, cooking sounds like a challenge and fun." Chris answered.
"I'll join you Chris. I can't always be reading when I'm not working out." Claire said liking the idea.
July 11th Raccoon City
Today was a relaxing day for the S.T.A.R.S, crime was on the low end today. The Alpha and Bravo teams were talking about everyday life while catching up on their reports and other paperwork. Jill looks over at Chris's desk and over at Wesker's office door where the two siblings of the name are inside.
'I hope Chris gets back soon.' Jill was missing Chris more as each day went by. One would think that Jill would be glad that there was another woman on the team but Alex is a hard person to approach. In fact she seems to not want anything to do with Jill for some reason.
'I want to say it's because of Chris, but that doesn't make any sense. I mean she showed up before he went on vacation and Chris would have said that he seen her before.' Jill was still puzzled by Chris's behavior before he left.
The Wesker siblings were getting their own work done. "Honestly, this is so boring Albert. Being in the lab is exquisite, I'm surprised you didn't come back after six months." Alex said.
"It is mundane Alex, but necessary. After all in the end its meaningless." was Wesker's response.
July 16th Unknown Island
"Hey Claire," Chris greeted as he walked up to her, she was looking out at the ocean. "Hey Chris...Do you think that Wes-Albert and Alex will be all right?" she asks.
"Albert?" Chris repeats, surprised that she called Wesker by his first name.
Claire sighs, "Well it would be ridiculous that I call him or Alex, Wesker when I'm gonna have their last name. So I might as well start call him by his first." she said.
Chris thinks about that, 'I don't think Alex will take my name...So I'll be a Wesker too?'
Claire looks at him, "You never answered my question."
"I think they are still crazy for wanting to take that virus but I think it will turn out ok." he replies.
They both look at each other, then leave to go to the training area where Stuart was able to arrange trainers for them.
July 16th Raccoon City
Both Wesker siblings look over a paper that states with Arklay facility being lost they were to get the old training facility up and running again.
"We'll check this out at a later date, we need to inform William about this." Wesker said. "All right, when will S.T.A.R.S be deployed?" Alex asks.
"Bravo team will be moved out first followed by Alpha team. As to when, only when you've done your test and Umbrella gives permission." he said with a sneer.
"Yes, I'm glad I decided to go along with you Albert rather than wait." she said.
July 21st Unknown Island
This was it, today she would take her test to see if she's pregnant or not. Claire is nervous as Stuart takes her cup of urine and everything else needed to see if she had conceived. Chris was beside her to give her comfort as they await the results.
After an hour Stuart comes out, "I'm sorry Miss Claire but it appears you aren't pregnant." he said.
Claire let's out a breath she wasn't aware she was holding and Chris squeezes her hand.
"I'll inform Dr. Alex and Dr. Albert about the tests. Would you like to talk to them as well?" he asks.
They shake their heads, "We'll have plenty of time to talk once they leave Umbrella." Chris said. Stuart then leaves to call them.
July 21st Raccoon City
"I see, tell Claire that we will be successful another time. Inform Christopher that Alex hasn't conceived either. Have a good day." Wesker said hanging up.
"It would have been nice if Little Dove had gotten pregnant but oh well." Alex said with a sigh. She was also disappointed that she herself didn't get with child, but this meant that she could take the virus without repercussions now.
"Yes, Dearheart getting pregnant would have ensured that they wouldn't have tried anything, but something tells me that they will wait for us." Wesker said with a smirk.
"True, they really don't have a choice. If they leave prematurely, Umbrella will find out about them and go after them. Both of them should be aware that." Alex with a smirk of her own.
July 23rd Arklay Mountains
RPD got a tip off that the people eating cult are hiding somewhere in the forest. S.T.A.R.S Bravo team has been sent in to find the culprits behind the cannibal killings. Not knowing that they are walking right into a nightmare.
Inside the old training facility three colleagues of virology were getting the security cameras back on. Once they were on, they use the communications to get in touch with U.S.S Delta team. They were on assignment to gain control of the Ecliptic Express, a train that had somehow got in contact with the t-virus.
"This is Delta team, this is Delta team. We have taken over the train, over." a voice over the com said.
"Understood." Wesker says as Alex look over old papers, she had never been to the old management training facility.
"It doesn't make any sense. How did the t-virus leak in the mansion and surrounding area? And how did get as far as a train three miles away?" Birkin was disturbed.
Wesker quickly covered the com, "At this point it doesn't matter how. What matters now is that we get rid of all evidence." he said.
"Indeed, the train needs to be destroyed until nothing is left. I'm also concerned about this place." Alex said looking up from the papers.
Wesker then removes his hand from the com, "How far are you from the nearest branch line?" he asks the person talking.
"We should be roughly ten to fifteen minutes.. Ah!" a scream of horror came through the line. All three of them become concerned, "What is it?! What happened?!" Wesker demands but no one answers.
They become uneasy, what in the world was going on?
Later they watch as two people come into the main hall of the training facility. "Who are they?" Birkin asks.
Wesker sees Rebecca, "The girl is just a rookie, a member of S.T.A.R.S Bravo team." he answers. "What about the male?" Birkin then asks. "I have no idea." Wesker said.
"I think I know," Alex says causing the two men to look at her, "There was a military transport carrying a convict named Billy Coen, but contact was lost." she finishes.
All of a sudden Dr. James Marcus voice is heard over the intercom, a recording from long ago, and the TVs flicker until they land on a young man in the main security room. "Who are you?" Wesker demands.
The young man said, "I was the one who released the t-virus in the mansion as well as the train."
"What?!" Birkin nearly yells. "Revenge! On Umbrella." the young man finishes.
He then sings out a haunting melody, leeches start compiling to the sound of his voice and form a shape, a shape that is familiar to both Wesker and Birkin. "Dr. Marcus!" Birkin exclaims in surprise.
The young man stops singing and laughs, "Ten years ago Dr. Marcus was assassinated, by Umbrella and the two of you helped them do it."
Wesker's brows furrowed and Birkin sweats nervously, he looks at Alex but she was not surprised by this. Alex had known what happened to Marcus years ago. The young man laughs again. Wesker and Birkin remember the day they betrayed Marcus.
Some time after this the three of them are walking down the hall. "This cannot be... That young man can't possibly be Dr. Marcus... But if its true then we're finished if this gets out." Birkin said.
"Yes, if the public were to find out what really happened to Marcus then Mr. Spencer's career and ours are done." Alex said as they reach an elevator.
"Thus the time as come at long last." Wesker said pushing the elevator button, causing it to come down. "What are you planning?" Birkin asks.
"Simple William we are leaving Umbrella, once we gather the only remaining thing needed for the t-virus." Alex said.
"Yes with the t-virus itself nearly done, we just need the combat data." Wesker said.
"You can't be serious! I may have finished work on the t-virus but my more powerful g-virus still needs work!" Birkin could not bring himself to walk away from Umbrella.
The elevator arrives and opens, "Do whatever you want Will but we are going through with our plan. Luring the S.T.A.R.S into the mansion to get the combat data." Wesker said as he and Alex get in.
"The S.T.A.R.S are perfect test subjects, due the rigorous training that they have gone through the data gathering should be excellent." Alex said pressing the up button.
"Fine," Birkin starts, "but something needs to be done with the lunatic here. I remember there being a device that can destroy this place, standard in any Umbrella lab. I'll find it and blown this place into nothingness." he finishes as the door closes.
The elevator goes up, "Albert..." Alex starts to speak, but Wesker raises his hand.
"Its all right Alex. I knew there would be a small chance that Will would come with us, but he made his choice." Wesker said. "True... I'll miss our little spats." she said as the elevator opens again.
They get over to the ropeway station, but discover that the power is gone. They had no choice but to go downstairs to turn it back on. After going through hordes of zombies they are successful. They continue to fight as they go back up, as well as encountering an old prototype tyrant. They finally make their way out to the old training facility.
"We best get a move on, no telling when Will set it off." Wesker said. He and Alex were ready for more creatures to come at them. The zombies just keep on coming and t-virus inflicted monkeys kept on trying to surprise them.
Eventually they reach the exit but they weren't alone. "And where might you two be going, comrades?" a Russian voice speaks. They look up an dilapidated train car to see Sergei Vladimir, chief of Umbrella's paramilitary with a tyrant called Ivan.
"Our next mission awaits." Wesker replies as he and Alex move toward the way out. "The reclaimation of the old training facility was your mission. Now you two are walking away without taking responsibility?" Sergei says as he plays with a knife of his.
"In case you've gone blind in your other eye Sergei, this place is lost. The t-virus saw to that, now we will get rid of this place and dispose of it." Alex said, concealing the fact that Birkin is the one that will blow it, readying her gun.
Sergei was not amused, "You think just because your Spencer's favorites that you can do whatever you want. That is not how it works, perhaps you two need a lesson in respect." he said moving so that Ivan can jump down to their level.
Ivan the readies himself and the Wesker siblings move into position. The battle lasts for a good five minutes before they bring Ivan to his knees, then an explosion happens and the siblings make their getaway.
Sergei recovers a moment too late, "Spoiled brats the both of them. Do they honestly think I don't know about their pets? Forget that for now, Ivan we must get to the mansion before they do." he said to the tyrant.
As they get way from their pursuers Wesker turns to Alex, "It would appear Sergei has not forgiven you for that time." he said.
"That's his problem. I would rather spread my legs for a low born man than a brute like him." Alex says with a sneer.
They quickly went back to RPD to get Alpha team ready.
