A Double Twisted Nightmare Chapter 8
As Jill and Barry left the room they fail to notice the Wesker siblings twitching. The two get up, having recovered from the death blows given to them by the tyrant.
"The tyrant is dead, lets get the data and get back to our intendeds." Alex said.
Wesker removes his sunglasses and moves over to the computer, however the computer says that all data has been put into a machine somewhere in Raccoon City.
"It would appear that Sergei has been busy." Wesker then tries to download the data but the computer wouldn't let him.
"As of twenty-four hours ago, your access privileges have been revoked." it said.
"What? Move Albert." Alex pushes her brother aside and puts in her codes, but she too was denied.
"What is the meaning of this? Who are you?" she asks the computer as well as typing it. It calls itself the Red Queen and it said its job was to protect Umbrella's assets. Both siblings punch the computer in frustration.
"We have no choice, we will have to get it another time." Wesker said. No sooner than he spoke, alarms went off that the self-destruct system has been activated.
"Our time with Umbrella is done. Let us go and salvage what we can." Alex said removing a brooch from her vest.
"Yes, then once the time comes Sergei will pay for this." Wesker said.
Wesker's sunglasses and Alex's brooch had been gifts from Spencer himself, but they had property of Umbrella on them, where other people can't see it. They drop their 'gifts' to the ground and step on them, destroying them. After all they were done with Spencer and Umbrella.
They go to the elevator and hear the tyrant roar. "Interesting... As much I would love to see it rip apart Jill and the others, we have no time." Alex said as they go up. When they get off, they hear a familiar moan. It was Lisa Trevor, she had survived her fall at the altar.
"Let us test our new abilities Alex." Wesker said. They discover that they have enhanced strength and agility. With these newfound powers they take down Lisa. "Your not perfect Lisa. So stay out of trouble." Alex said.
The two Wesker's continue onwards back to the entrance hall, taking note that there are no B. O. Ws. "It seems that those three did us a huge favor, no riff raff." Alex said as they enter the inner courtyard.
As they arrive at the entrance hall they discover that they are no longer alone, Lisa had once more escaped death and was now blocking the way out. "Honestly Albert, now is not the time to play with your fan girl." Alex was annoyed.
"I can't help it if women find me attractive." Wesker said as Lisa goes on the attack.
They dodge her attacks by jumping, before taking notice of the chandelier and it was moving quite erratically. They shot each other a look, Wesker distracts Lisa and once she is right below the chandelier, Alex shoots it. It falls right on Lisa, pining her to the ground.
"Be a good girl and stay there. You'll have eternal slumber once this place blows." Wesker said as he and Alex reach the double doors.
They run as fast as they can with their abilities, they also hear a helicopter flying away and the mansion explodes into nothing but rubble. They stop and look up at the helicopter with the S.T.A.R.S logo on it.
"We will find out who survived later, but our ties with Umbrella have been severed. Let us go to the rendezvous point where our ride back to your island is waiting." Wesker said and they leave in said direction.
July 25th Unknown Island
Chris and Claire watched as the plane carrying their fiancés lands. While they were told they had taken the virus and were still breathing, they had to be sure.
Albert and Alex descend from the plane, still covered in blood and no sunglasses in Wesker's case. They go up to them, "Hey, long time no see." Chris said.
"Are you two all right?" Claire asks looking over them in concern.
"Yes we're fine. Unfortunately thanks to a former soviet we did not get what we needed. We have to talk with our new employers as soon as possible." Albert said with distaste in his voice.
"Excuse us we need to shower." Alex said also upset. The Wesker siblings go to their rooms.
Chris and Claire go about their day until they were ready to talk.
As they prepare dinner, Albert and Alex walk, "I must say when Stuart told me you two have taken up cooking I had a hard time believing it." Alex said she is wearing a business suit, the color white.
"Well we had to something. Just reading and training is not going to keep us occupied all the time." Claire said as she pulls out Strawberry Cheesecake she made earlier.
Chris was making steak on the stove, "Wait till we're done, then we'll talk."
"That's fine, though I must say it smells good." Albert said. He is wearing a suit that was all black.
They put out the food and sit around the able. As they eat Albert speaks, "We got done with talking to our new employers. They were not happy that we did not have the promised combat data, but they still agreed to accept us. Mainly due to our credentials and information about Umbrella."
"Yes, unfortunately they said they had to change the conditions that would make us part of the group. We now are indebted to them and had to accept lesser positions." Alex said with distain in her voice.
The Redfield siblings got the message, the Wesker's position in the new organization was not stable. "I'm sorry to say, but our wedding will have to wait until things get fixed." Wesker said not happy.
"What about Umbrella? Won't they come after us?" Claire asks.
"No. I was able to get this island through other means. Umbrella has no idea that I own this. As far as the world itself knows, an eccentric billionaire brought and lives on this island separated from the world." Alex said.
"That reminds me, Alex we will test you tomorrow to find out if your sickness is gone." Albert said.
"Yes." Alex said.
"Was...Was there anyone that survived?" Chris asks about S.T.A.R.S.
"Yes. Brad, Barry, Rebecca and Jill survived. They will most likely try and tell the world about Umbrella, but they will be unsuccessful. Umbrella has pockets everywhere, so unless something big happens with them, there is no way for them to be taken down right now." Albert said.
Chris was sad and happy to hear some members of S.T.A.R.S had escaped, but the others who didn't...
Alex sees Chris's expression and assumes that he is mainly happy about Jill surviving, much to her jealously.
"What happens now?" Chris asks.
"We will have to devote our time to the Organization until they are satisfied that we are assets." Albert said.
"Don't worry, this gives us time to get to know one another." Alex said.
"You two can also focus on the wedding, get the ideas ready. Once things are stable, we will get married for sure." Albert said.
July 26th
Albert and Alex were running tests on Alex's blood to see if she had been cured like they thought she would be. It turned out she was, she'll live beyond what had been diagnose.
Chris and Claire had been present to give Alex moral support, even though she said she didn't need it. "I'm glad.. Alex, that means we have our whole life together." Chris said as he takes her hand.
Alex stills a moment before smiling, pleased the Chris is taking the initiative.
Albert feels a small hand take his own and looks at Claire, "...Albert, I'm happy that Alex gets to live." she said.
Albert smiles at Claire, he knew that she wouldn't stop caring and is pleased that she takes his hand.
July 28th
Chris takes Alex out on a picnic, once she was done in the lab for the day. The afternoon sun was out in full force, Chris brings out Club Sandwiches, Rhubarb salad and Lemon tea. "Thank you Beloved, after working long hours in the lab it is refreshing to have some good food and relaxation." Alex said.
"Yeah... Say Alex what University did you graduate from?" Chris asks. They engage in small talk, talking about the others lives up until this point.
"You never graduated from high school?" Alex was a bit surprised.
"When my mother died, I went right into the Air Force. There was no choice, CPS would have separated me and Claire if I didn't and neither of us wanted that. I was able to get my ged, when I was twenty. Most of my paychecks before Claire became of age went into her college funds. I never once regretted that." Chris tells her.
"But my time in the Force didn't last. I trusted my instincts more than an actual plan and a fight broke out because of that. No one could figure out who started it, but I was named the main instigator for the fight. Between that and all other stuff that happened, the higher ups decided they had enough of me. They gave me a choice as to how to leave the service." Chris finished.
"So you didn't know of Jill until S.T.A.R.S?" Alex asked.
"I heard of her name, being the first woman in Delta Force but had no idea it was her until later." Chris said.
"We're you close." Alex asked it but it was more of a demand.
"We were partners... and I think that's all we were going to be." Chris said. He never asked Jill out but she didn't either, and now with Alex in his life there is no room for Jill in that department. Chris was a man who is faithful to a woman.
August 3rd
Claire and Albert were taking a walk under the moon. Claire had wrapped her arms around Albert's arm, they approach a bench and sit down. Albert had been working almost non-stop the past few days, but takes some time to spend with Claire right now.
"You attended the University of Tennessee. What was your major?" Albert asks her.
"Arts. I have always been fascinated with how painting evolved over the centuries." Claire said.
"You could have picked something more productive, like a doctor or a lawyer." Albert said.
"Everyone has something they like, I chose artistry. Though I can say my minor was in biology, but I mainly did that to get inspired to paint." Claire said defending her decision.
"What about you? Where did you graduate from?" Claire asks him. Albert tells her about his life and she talks about herself.
"Is there anyone I should know about?" Albert asked.
"No the last boyfriend I had was in my freshman year at the university." Claire tells him.
"Was there a woman before me?" Claire asks him.
"I did have a relationship with a woman in Edoina while I was in the army, but it was only sex. She wasn't that interesting enough for an actual relationship. Oddly enough, she called it off before I did. I think she wanted more but she realized she wouldn't get it." Albert tells her.
Claire had no one to think of that could be her man, before Albert but it didn't matter anymore.
August 10th
Chris and Albert were having some quality time, after Albert got done with his work. Chris is sitting on his lap in his office that Alex gave him. Chris is a bit uncomfortable but Albert tells him that there won't be any intimacy until the honeymoon.
"...Albert you should take a little more time from the lab. I know that you and Alex want to stabilize your positions but you two will burn out." Chris said, but this only makes Albert laugh.
"I assure you Christopher that is impossible. Alex and I have always felt at home in the lab. I doubt that will be bored while there." Albert said.
"Enough about work for now, we will have more time together once things are settled. You and Dearheart seem to be working out at the training area quite well and the skills you are learning are quite good." he said.
Albert brings Chris into a kiss and they have a fierce battle.
August 15th
Claire and Alex were in her garden area, they we're sitting on a bench. Alex was telling her the names of the flowers in Latin of course.
"Alex you know that I won't remember half of the names right?" Claire said.
"Yes, but I think its also important to know their other names. In time you and Beloved should know them all." Alex said.
"I glad you got confidence in Chris to learn the names but it will take time." Claire said with a smile, at the thought of her brother learning.
"All Beloved needs is a little patience, after all its only Latin." Alex said.
Claire becomes bold and kisses her, they hash it out with their tongues.
August 25th
"Come now, you both knew this would happen. Why are you making a fuss now?" Albert asks the Redfield siblings.
They were ignoring the Wesker siblings. For today they had a sixteen year old in the lab to experiment with.
When Chris and Claire found this out, they protested against using minors, but were told that a lot of results come from those who are young.
"Look it was just one kid, he had no where to go or has any family." Alex said to them, but this only caused them to snap.
"So he had no one, he had his whole life! He could've become an inventor or a scientist like you two! Instead you took his life away!" Claire said angrily.
"You had no right in doing that to a kid who had no idea what he was getting into!" Chris yells.
"We already knew that you would experiment on people! But it can't be kids who don't have a choice!" Claire yells at them.
"Look just leave us alone, we're upset enough as it is!" Chris said, he and Claire left the room, for their respected quarters.
Later in the evening they come out, going to the kitchen to make some food because they had skipped dinner. As they walk, they run into Stuart.
"Mr. Chris, Miss Claire. I know you two are still upset but remember the Wesker's have been raised differently from you. They have a higher calling. Please give them a chance and in return you will be happy." he said before leaving them.
They arrive at the kitchen but hear noises. "Ouch! I didn't think using a knife would be so different from a scalpel." Alex said.
"Ow. You get a new appreciation for people who know their way around a kitchen. In Raccoon, I had take out or I hired someone to cook." Albert said after he hurt himself.
Chris and Claire go in and see in amusement at the mess in the kitchen, there were pots and pans everywhere, utensils were out, and the two in the middle were trying to make something.
Alex was at the cutting board but she evidently cut herself. While Albert was trying to make some thing on the stove but had burned himself.
The Wesker siblings turned to look at them, "We know you missed dinner but didn't think you two would come down. So we decided to make you something. As you can see, we are not chefs." Albert said.
"Here let's clean this up and have something simple." Claire said.
After the kitchen disaster was picked up and cleaned, Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup from a can was the meal. The Redfield siblings sit down to eat and the Wesker's join them.
"Listen we came to an agreement. We won't have anyone under the age of eighteen as experiments anymore." Alex said.
It wasn't an apology but the Redfield's knew it was the best they were going to get from them and nod.
September 2nd Unknown Location
"So these are the ones that Albert and Alex have chosen?" Spencer asked, as he looked over the papers that have Chris and Claire Redfield's information.
"Yes, it would appear that they favor degenerates. They couldn't find anyone with more attractive genes." Sergei said.
After dealing with the aftermath of the mansion incident, he had gathered up any scrap of information on the Redfield siblings for Spencer wanted to know who 'his' children had picked.
"Interesting. After all the good breeding heirs and others that I had put in their paths, they chose those who aren't. Their father was an adulterer and their mother went to an early grave. Still considering that I raised them, these two must have something special for them to pick them." Spencer said. Sergei grunts.
"Now Sergei, don't tell me your still not over Alex. I did my best to persuade her to chose you years ago but you've seen how stubborn she and Albert are." Spencer said.
"But Alex... I admit between the two of them I honestly believed that she was truly loyal to me." Spencer said in a disappointed voice.
"Enough, do you know where they are?" he asks Sergei.
"No my lord, where ever they hid themselves, they made sure it was off radar." Sergei said puzzled as to how the Wesker's and their pets disappeared.
"It doesn't matter right now. I'll have my new son and daughter come pay a visit when things calm down. We have to deal with the remaining S.T.A.R.S." Spencer said.
"Yes, Chambers has already resigned and left Raccoon City, Burton is moving his family to Canada, but Valentine and Vickers seem to be the real troublemakers. They are still in the city trying to get evidence." Sergei informs him.
"Perhaps we should send assassins?" Spencer questions but Sergei says, "No".
"Forgive me but they have the public's eye on them. People everywhere will realize foul play if we take them out that way. And I've looked over the woman's credentials, I doubt that she can be taken down that way. But the Nemesis project is almost done, that should take care of her or anyone." Sergei said and Spencer nods in approval.
"Now about the information gathered on Birkin and the g-virus..." he said.
September 16th Unknown Island
Chris and Claire were outside taking a walk. The Wesker's were in the lab right now.
"... I got to say Claire, being with the Wesker siblings can really open your eyes." Chris was talking about all that they learned since their intendeds came to the island.
"I know... this Organization that their in and by extension us.. I never would have thought that things are not what they seem." Claire said in a solemn voice.
They had discover things that they never imagined would be true, had they lived their normal lives.
"Gives a new meaning to the saying, 'rose tinted glasses'. Claire said unsmiling.
Chris is quiet for a moment, "Claire.. I think I will help them with getting combat data after all." he finally said.
"Are you sure?" she asks him worriedly.
"Yeah, I would like to put the training I'm doing into practice and I would like to see for myself, what Jill and the others went through." Chris tells her his reason.
"... I will join you Chris. By doing so I will be of help to you and our... lovers." Claire said determined.
".. As long as you comfortable with it Claire." Chris said sadly. He didn't want her to join him in that but he was not going to stop her.
September 20th Unknown Island
The four of them were sparing, Chris vs Albert and Claire vs Alex.
The Wesker siblings were impressed with how much the two had learned in the last couple months. They were also surprised that they wanted to help in their research by getting the combat data, but they were pleased.
However before they can, they have to show them that they are capable of it first.
"All right let's do more-urgh!" Albert said as he fell to his knees in pain.
"Albert!" Chris said as he moved to help him.
"Alex!" Claire shouts in concern, Chris looked over to see Alex on her knees as her brother, her contorted in pain and Claire trying to help her.
After a few minutes whatever was happening to Albert and Alex stopped.
"What was that about?" Claire asked.
"I don't know, but we better find out." Alex said.
She and Albert leave for the lab, they run all kinds of tests and find something that does not make them happy. A knock on the door is heard, "Come in!" Alex said.
In came Stuart, "Forgive me for disturbing, but Mr. Chris and Miss Claire have been waiting for hours. They are quite worried about you two and they have fallen asleep."
"Ok Stuart we will see to them." Albert said and Stuart leaves.
He and Alex walk out to find the Redfield sibling on the couch, fast asleep. They gently wake them up, "Who-? Oh, hey are you two all right? Do you know what happened?" Claire asks as she and Chris wake up.
"Yes, it would appear that the virus Will made was not as stable as it was originally thought." Albert said with distaste.
"We now have to make something that will nullify the pain but keep the benefits." Alex said just as displeased.
"... As long as you two keep us in the loop." Chris said.
The Wesker's are silent but nod that they will stay informed.
September 22nd
"Damn it!" Albert said in anger.
"Why did this happen?!" Alex yelled in frustration.
They had gotten word that Birkin's g-virus was now completed so they sent in an agent to get it, but Umbrella had found out about Birkin's plan to go US military before they did. So they had sent USS to go and collect it, as well as Birkin himself. However something went wrong, and now Birkin was dead, the g-virus in the hands of Umbrella.
The Wesker's had wanted William alive so that he could help them but that was now out the window.
The Redfield's were currently doing their first combat data test.
"We still have a chance for the g-virus, that should help our positions." Albert said.
"Yes... I just got word that the latest tyrant, codename: Nemesis will be deployed to wipe out the remaining S.T.A.R.S." Alex said.
"Hmm.. I know someone in the UBCS that will do anything for the right price. I'll get in touch with him and with that our positions should be secure." Albert said getting ready to contact him.
But not even the Wesker's could imagine the nightmare in the following days.
