A Double Twisted Nightmare Chapter 18

December 30th 1998, Antarctica

Hours after the plane crashed, Jill wakes up to find the plane in disrepair and in no shape to fly again.

She checks on Steve, who was still unconscious. "Steve. Get up. Come on." she said shaking him.

Steve groans before opening his eyes. He holds his head as he gets to a sitting position. Once he was ready and looks at Jill, "Well, good news. We're still alive." he said.

"Yeah, but we're not out of the woods just yet. Alfred brought us here for some reason." Jill said standing up.

"True, though I don't think either one of us wants to know the answer." he said, getting up.

Steve checks out the plane. "Oh, yeah, this thing is totaled. We'll have to find another plane." Steve said.

Jill gets over to the storage box and pulls out everything that was in it. Using a trap she wraps up everything and ties it to her back.

He checks the door out, he tries to push it open but it was stuck. He kicks at it until it gives and falls into an abyss, but thankfully, there was a place for him and Jill to land that was close.

He gets out first and makes a stance as a way of catching her but... "I'll be fine." Jill said.

Jill gets out but loses her balance, Steve grabs her the wrist and pulls to steady her, which in turn makes him lose his balance. They both fall to the ground, Jill on top of Steve.

Jill tries to get up but something stops her, it was Steve's arms. She gives him a look and he releases her, she stands back up. She offers her hand to him, but he gets up without taking it.

He looks at the plane, "It doesn't look as bad on the outside." he said.

"I think we need to spilt up again. There has to be something here that can help us escape." Steve said.

"Are you sure? Maybe we should stay together this time." Jill said.

"Nah, this place is big on it's own. We'll cover more ground. See you Jill!" Steve said, before taking off.

Jill stared after him for a moment, before looking around the room, to see that she is a silo like part and checks out the door. It says it won't open unless there is an emergency.

She then backtracks before finding a ladder and goes down it. Going to the double doors on her left, she heads into the next room to hear moaning. She peers over the railing and sees zombies wandering around, but decides to leave them alone.

She goes to the right on the catwalk before opening a door, leading to a tool room. She finds a zombie in a cage but ignores it, checking out the room to see what it had. She finds ammo, herbs and a machine that can process materials.

Once she has everything packed up in the tarp, she leaves the room, ignoring it as it bashes itself against the cage, trying to get out and eat her.

She hades back to the silo and goes into the door by the stairs. She finds herself in a bunkhouse with dead bodies, not taking any chances, she shoots them in their heads.

She also finds a pack that looks like it was on it's last legs, but was still usable. She takes everything out of the tarp, and puts them inside the bag. She then looks around the room, finding healing items, ammo and a dairy, that describes a monster living in the base.

'I hate to say it, but most likely this monster is still around.' Jill knew that viruses have a bad habit of keeping monsters alive.

She then finds a map of the base and looks it over. 'Steve's right, this place is rather big. I hope he'll be all right.' Jill puts it away, after realizing down stairs was the only way to take.

She leaves the room and takes the stairs down. She comes across a webbed hall with a corpse, but she continues on to the door in front of her.

She enters the office and finds a storage box, which she empties all the healing items into in, expect for one. She keeps the ammo and searches the room, finding an herb and bow gun arrows. 'Hmm.. There is something more to this room, but I'll check it out later.' There is a odd noise but it seems to be coming from behind the wall, but it was dark. She packs what is needed before leaving the room.

Back in the hall she hears something as she turns the corner, it was moths, big ones. Jill dodges them before reaching the other door.

She enters to find herself in the room where zombies are wandering about, she blows them away. She heads to the door that on the map said weapon.

She hears zombies as she enters, she dispatches them with her gun. When the threats are gone, she explores the room. She finds a key that says mining room, then she checks out the weapon locker of the room and gets an AK47 Assault Riffle.

'This is heavy duty, better save it for something big.' Jill puts it in the bag she has.

She heads to the back and finds a dead body with a detonator, she sees C4 on the locker near it and takes the detonator from the body, placing it with the explosives. However Jill discovers that it was a heat seeking one.

'I'll come back after I find something.' Jill heads back the way she came and exits the room.

As she leaves the room she looks up and sees something, but cannot tell what it is and has nothing to get it with.

She heads over the mining room door and unlocks it with the key she found. She heads in and finds herself freezing as the temperature drops. She heads up some ice block like stairs, before finding a valve that can shout off poison, but needs a octagon valve.

Leaving the aera, she heads for the double doors and opens them to find the power room.

She hears growls and realizes mutated dogs were about and gets herself ready. She heads in and shoots at the dogs, then she checks out the room, finding ammo and herbs. She sees the controls for the generator and flips the switch, turning it on.

She locates the electric power and turns it on. She then heads back to the sorting room, over to the controls of the room and turns it on. She hears something move and realizes that the object she saw out of reach moved.

She checks out the box on the conveyer belt and uses the controls to move it. As it was moving, she goes over to the only door she hadn't gone in yet.

Once she enters a big spider tries to corner her, but she dodges it and kills it. She kills another one, but sees a third one scurrying about. However it was underneath the grates and neither bullets or arrows can get it.

She dodges it's attacks as she looks over the room, grabbing herbs, ammo, and a barcode. She then exits the room and heads over to the machine, to place a barcode on the crate.

When it was ready, she starts it up again and this time the create heads to the room she had exited from.

Heading back to the room, gas had gotten out of the create, but thankfully a gas mask at the emergency station was available. Jill grabs it and leaves, getting all the way back to the office.

Once there, she drops off some items, before heading over to where that mystery noise is. She sees that the book self can be moved, pushes it out of the way.

She heads over to the lockers, which is where the noise is coming from. As she gets close enough, one of the doors opens and a rat comes out. The rat runs away, as Jill checks the locker.

She finds an old letter stating the deaths of Alexander and Alexia Ashford as well as the resigning of the family butler. 'So Alexia did die.'

She finds a switch that she presses and the lockers move to reveal a secret room.

The floor was grated but Jill could see that something was underneath it, thus gets on her hands and knees for a closer look. It was some kind of monster, all locked up and everything. The monster seems to have realized it was being watched, turns it's head upwards and moans.

Jill knew that it was the monster talked about in the worker's dairy and was glad it was imprisoned.

She gets up and heads over to the other side of the lockers, to find a plant pot. 'Why is this here?' Jill could see that it was out of place and checks it over, to find a key that says machine room.

Jill takes it before leaving, she then notices a memo on a self and reads it. 'Wait.. George Trevor was the one who designed the mansion in the Arklay mountains! So there is a replica of the place?' Jill was not trilled.

She leaves the room and heads back up stairs to the silo room, moving to the sorting room second floor and unlocking the machine room. When she enters the room she sees a contraption and another door.

She heads over to the door, opens it and heads in to find a valve. She takes it and leaves the room, for there was nothing else to do.

When she arrives back at the machine room, she sees Steve. She was glad that he was all right.

"Steve! I'm glad to see your still in one piece." Jill said as she approached him.

"Same to you. Thank you for getting the power back on, because of that I was able to access a computer. I was able to find out that we are no more than seven miles away, from an Austrian base." Steve tells her what she found.

"That's good, now we need to find a way out and get there." Jill said. She looks over the machine room and sees a machine that can dig.

"Hey Steve, that machine over there can help-" Jill tries to say but is interrupted.

"Help us escape. I know, I just got the crane to warm up. Now all we got to do is move it." Steve said, getting to the controls.

"Are you sure you know what your doing?" Jill asks.

"Yeah." he said. He starts moving the crane to take the machine over to the wall and Jill leans on a machine to watch.

When the digging machine was no longer in front but to the side, Steve turns his head so he could keep an eye on it. He then looks at Jill and becomes transfixed, however..

"Steve! What are you doing?!" Jill shouts turning around to face him.

Steve snaps out of it and looks over where the crane is. He realizes that he allowed himself to be distracted, as the machine collides with a pipe and poisonous gas is released into the room.

"Shit!" Jill shouts, as alarms blare. She grabs Steve by the arm and drags him out of the room.

Once they were safe in the next room, they breath in fresh air into their lungs. "Steve, what happened? Why did you lose focus?" Jill asks him, once they recover.

Steve couldn't bring himself to tell her the truth, "I'm sorry Jill, I think I got a little too excited about us escaping. Now I've ruined everything." he said, not looking at her.

"No you didn't. People make mistakes, it's how you deal with it that helps you go foreword. Just because that way is now cut off, doesn't mean that there isn't a way to fix it. We will escape, I promise you." Jill said.

Steve looks at Jill, "Thank you Jill, by the way.. Never mind, it can wait until after we escape. Let's find a way to turn off the gas." he said.

"Agreed, let's split up again. I have only one gas mask, so look for another way of turning it off. We're bound to find something if we cover more ground." Jill said.

"Ok, stay safe. We'll meet up again." Steve said, about ready to leave her.

"Steve!" Jill calls to him, causing to stop.

"We will get out of here, together." Jill said to him firmly. Steve nods his head before leaving.

After Steve leaves, Jill then remembers the valve but knew that it wouldn't fit the pipe downstairs. 'Wait there is a machine on this floor. It can change metal objects!'

She heads back to the storeroom and over to the machine. She place to valve on it, starts it up and craves the square piece on it, into a octagon.

When it was ready, she grabs it and runs all the way downstairs to the mining room ground floor. She puts on the gas mask before entering the room.

She gets over to the pipe and places the valve in and turns it. After a few minutes, the gas stops and the air clears. Jill removes the mask from her face.

"One problem down, now we need to-" Jill stops as she hears a gun cock.

"Think again." Alfred said in his female voice.

Jill slowly turns to look at Alfred, he was near the machine that can move the crane. "I will torture you slowly and painfully." he said, still in his female voice.

A door is kicked in and Steve appear, "Not happening!" he shouts at Alfred, pointing his guns at him.

"Allow me to pay you back from before!" Alfred said, in his female voice.

He shoots at him, but Steve pulls some acrobatic flips before getting beneath him, on his back and opens fire. This makes Alfred stumble and fall over the side of the railing.

He lands in a crumpled heap, Jill calls out to Steve, "Are you all right?"

"Yeah!" he said, getting up.

Alfred gets up a little too fast, missteps and falls into the abyss, screaming. Then all of a sudden, a loud screech noise is heard.

"Damn it! He must have released the monster!" Jill shouts.

"What monster?" Steve asks.

"A monster that has been imprisoned for some time! Get that crane going!" she tells him.

Steve does what she says, then once the machine was in place, he jumps down to where she is.

Jill had picked up the rifle, that Alfred had dropped, knowing that it might be useful. "Still picking up guns? Let's go!" Steve said.

Jill gets back over to where the machine is and tries to get in the driver's seat, but Steve stops her.

"Let me drive! I swear, I won't break it!" he said.

Jill sighs, "Fine, just that next time, let me drive." she said.

"Ok." he said and they hop in.

"Goodbye Umbrella!" Steve said as he turns it on and goes foreword. As he does this, water comes from the melted ice, due to the heated surface of the machine, and floods the base.

As he was driving, Steve asks, "Say Jill, once we get out of here.. Are you going to search for those two?"

"You mean Chris and Claire? Yes, then when I've found them.. I have something to talk to Chris about." Jill said. She remembers Alex saying that Chris was now her husband but Jill doesn't think it's true. With that she also plans on telling Chris her feelings.

When they finally break through, they find themselves surrounded by metal. They get out and look around. "Brr.. I'll be glad when we're out of here." Steve said.

Jill realizes that the building in front of them was a helipad. "Let's climb that ladder. There's a way down over there." Jill said, pointing to some stairs.

They climb up, and Jill takes notice of a couple of things, grabbing them. "Hey, Jill, come on!" Steve said to her, he was by the stairs already.

Jill gets over to the stairs and just as she starts going down them, she stops. "What's the matter? Someone like you shouldn't be scared of anything." Steve said, teasingly.

He stops being amused as Jill steps back, he looks down the stairs and sees something move. It was heading their way up the stairs.

Steve moves Jill out of the way and points his weapons at it. The creature was bound but new appendages appear from it's back. "I suggest you get lost!" Steve said, threating it.

The creature responds by using it's new longer arm, smacking Steve so hard that he falls off the helipad. "Steve!" Jill shouts, running over to where he fell. She sees that he is alive, hanging on a metal beam.

Jill reaches down to try and help him, but the creature has made it's way to the top. Jill realizes she has to fight, "Steve, hold on! I'll take care of the monster!" she tells him, getting up.

"Forget about me! Get yourself out of here!" he shouts at her. "No, I won't leave you!" she said, readying her rifle.

She runs to the other side and waits for the monster to appear within sight. 'It's heart is open, if I concentrate on it then surely it will die.'

She shoots at it once she see it, but it was able to hit her in return. She gasped in pain as she backs up out of it's range and quickly heals herself.

She tries again, this time making sure to keep distance from it's attacks. She can see it can use poison as well. When she uses all the bullets from the rifle, she switches to her handgun.

It takes quiet a few bullets but finally it dies.

Once Jill was certain it would no longer move, she heads back over to Steve. She was relieved to see that he was still hanging on. "Steve!" she said to him.

He looks up and sees her, "Jill your safe!" he said happily. Jill reaches down once again to pull him up. Steve grabs her hand and he is pulled to safety.

Once they catch their breath, Steve speaks, "Jill.. I'm sorry-"

"Don't apologize. You did just fine. The monster merely took you off your guard." she said.

"Come on, let's go." Jill said getting up and Steve follows suit. As Jill walks away, Steve looks at her. "I swear Jill, I will protect you." he said quietly to himself. He then follows her.

They head down the steps and get on solid ground. "At long last, we're out of Ashford's clutches!" Steve said, excitedly.

"Yes.. Over there! A snow mobile! That can take us the Austrian base." Jill said, when she see it.

They head over and as promised, Steve let's Jill drive. "Let's go home." Jill said, starting it up. They go in the direction they need, but unbeknownst to them, there troubles were not over.

Back in the base, Alfred had survived his fall and was making his way to a secret aera of the base. "I swear, you two will get what's coming to you." he said as drags himself along the hall. He was back to himself and in return, had finally remembered something that he allowed himself to forget.

Doors open and he heads in, weakening with every step, but determined to do what he was doing. In the room, in suspended animation was Alexia Ashford.

"I've failed you Alexia. I've failed in awakening you at the proper time as well as getting society ready for your return." he said. The moment he said her name the machines come on and starts releasing Alexia from her slumber.

Alfred continues dragging himself over to where she is. "Alas, I won't live to see your glorious reign, but I get to gaze upon you one last time. That is more than enough." he said, stopping on the stairs.

By this point, the fluids that kept Alexia asleep had drained and for the first time in fifteen years, she opens her eyes. "Alfred." his name was the first word that came from her mouth as she walks towards him.

"Alexia.." Alfred Ashford dies from wounds after speaking her name.

Alexia bends down and takes Alfred into her arms, "Perhaps, I put too much pressure on you, but thank you for remembering to free me. Your murderers won't get away. I'll see to that!" Alexia unleashes her power in all it's fury.

As Jill and Steve were making their way to the Austrian base, Steve sees something in the mirror outside. "Jill! Something's coming!" he said.

Unfortunately, the snow mobile doesn't move like a car, the vine grabs the machine, jolting Jill and Steve around. It shakes them for a moment, before throwing them to the ground.

As all this was happening, Alexia sings a requiem for Alfred.

December 30th 1998, Rockfort Island 8:02pm.

Leon was climbing up the rough cliffs of Rockfort Island, he was able to parachute out of the plane, but the wind blew him off course. He was able to detach himself from it, before it landed the water and he grabbed the side of the cliff.

As he was climbing, a rock came lose, startling him. He loses some of his supplies he brought with him. 'Damn! At least I brought a lot of handgun bullets.' he thinks as he grabs the cliff again.

Eventually, he reaches an edge. He pulls himself up and sees a cave, that he hopes will take him to Jill. 'Jill hold on, I'm coming.'

He enters the cave, but takes no more then a few steps inside, when a wail is heard. It shakes the ground, Leon becomes unbalanced for a moment. "Great, that must be the welcome party." he said standing upright. He looks behind him to see the way he came in, is now blocked.

He sees a herb and grabs it, before continuing on. He then sees a person, sitting with their back against the wall. The person looks up at Leon, "I thought I was the only living person left on this island. Who are you?" the person, man, asks him.

"I'm just someone looking for certain people, a woman right now." Leon answers him, walking towards him.

"A woman?" the man repeats.

"Yes." Leon says as he kneels by the man. "Her name is Jill Valentine. Know her?" he asks.

"Yes, I know her, but you shouldn't be concerned. I helped her escape. A few hours ago, planes escaped from this island. Though, I'm not completely sure she was on one of them." the man tells him.

"I see.. Thanks for helping her." Leon said.

"The island was detonated by someone with high clearance. I came down here once the aera I was in was compromise, but it's only a matter of time before I die. I suggest to you that you follow her and get off this island." the man said.

Leon gets up and intends to move on, when the ground shakes again. Both men are put off balance as a worm like monster comes up from the ground, it's mouth open wide. It goes after the one in front, the man screams as he is devoured and the worm seemingly disappears into the ground.

Leon stared in shock, he had jumped away before the worm moved. 'He saved Jill, I have to save him!'

He then explores the cavern finding bow gun arrows, which he puts in his remaining pack for he doesn't have a bow gun, and opens a storage box to find more handgun bullets, which he takes.

He had taken notice of a strange statue, but it wanted light and he had nothing to light with.

He heads into the next room and hears the monster moving about. "All right, bastard. Come out!" Leon said holding his handgun.

The creature comes out of the ground, Leon shoots and dodges it when it lunges for him. He keeps it up, using a lot of bullets before finally, it moves around it's head in a circle and spits out the man it ate. It then gave one final wail, before falling over and dying.

Leon runs over to the man, once the threat was gone. The man was intense pain, "Hey, hold on!" Leon said holding him.

"It-It's fine, I'll get to meet my family again. Oh, by the way, take this." the man gives Leon the lighter that Jill left him.

"She said it belonged to the man she loved, but gave it to me as a way of thanks. However.. I obviously won't need it anymore. Go.. on.. take it." he said, before dying in Leons's arms.

"Damn!" Leon said. He takes the lighter and lays the man's corpse down.

He then explores this area, finding herbs and ammo. He then heads back the way he came, going over to the statue in the last room and lights it. It opens up to reveal two sub machine guns, Leon grabs them before leaving the room for good.

Back in the cave, Leon uses the lighter to see in the darker areas, before going over to the elevator. He hits the button and waits for it to come down. 'The man said he wasn't completely sure if Jill got off this island. I better make sure before I leave.'

When the elevator came, he got on and hit the up. It took a few minutes, but he finds himself in a garage, once the doors open and sees zombies.

He dodges them, before taking the double doors outside. He sees a tank, which he checks out. 'This things a decorative piece. Too bad. I wouldn't have minded giving it a try. Wait.. There's a button on it.'

Leon hits the button, which causes the tank to start up and move, revealing a hidden lift as well as handgun bullets. He grabs the bullets before taking the lift down.

He then goes over the corridor, finding herbs and shotgun shells and at the end of the hall, finds a battery pack. He then checks the door and sees it wants something to open it.

Just as he back tracks to the only other door, big spiders came in through the vents. Leon dodges their attacks and shoots at them until they were dead. He then enters through the door to find more ammo, herbs and a puzzle, that was made of drawers.

He fiddles with the puzzle until he solves it and gets a luger. He then dumps the ammo he can't use and some of the weapons.

He then gets back over to the lift, heading up, before entering back into the garage. He dispatches the zombies, before checking out the lift. Seeing that it's battery had been removed, Leon puts the battery he found in it.

Once it was in working order, he gets on it and press the up button. It fits right into the walkway, where the hole is. He sees something to his left, going over to a small table that had a key and a file.

The file talks about a metal that can dissolve in certain chemicals and the key was for the chemical storage room. Leon collects them both before leaving through the door.

As he enters the next room, he hears singing. He heads over to the command center, where he sees a woman in a purple dress, caressing a body that was on her lap, on the monitor.

"Who is that?" Leon questions aloud.

Meanwhile, in another part of the base, Albert sees the same thing Leon sees. "Alexia?! Damn you Alfred! Her being awake complicates things." Albert said, upset.

He and Alex had searched Rockfort like a fine tooth comb and discovered that Alexia was no where on this island. Obviously, the Antarctica Base had to be where she was.

However, Alex couldn't accompany him to Antarctica. Something came up in Asia and it deals with Umbrella. So Alex was sent there with a small group of men from the HCF.

Albert was secretly glad that she left, for he wasn't certain that Alex wouldn't want to destroy Alexia completely, once they had captured her.

As he was working the controls, he had been waiting to hear from his men that they were all ready to go, he sees Leon from the command center camera.

"Ah, Leon Kennedy. You must be here to rescue Jill." he said. He walks away from the controls and opens a metal capsule.

"I'm sorry to say that won't happen. Though I can't meet you, I'll send company your way. Can't have you meddle in affairs that are none of your business." Albert said, backing away from the capsule as the creature inside pulls itself out.

He then activates machines that can give a person trouble, "I hope you'll like the reception." he said, laughing.

Back with Leon, the monitor had shut off by this point and he tries to bring it back, in order to locate the woman and possibly Jill.

'It's no use. It won't come back on.' Leon decides to move on. Before he does, he see a piece of paper sticking out of one of the metal drawers. He takes it, discovering it was a map of the place. After looking it over, he decides to try the basement.

He goes over to the elevator he saw before and heads down to the lowest level. When he gets out he sees he is on an iron walkway. He heads down a little to see stairs on his left and goes down them.

He finds some ammo, including some he can't use, and a shotgun called SPAS 12. 'This will give extra power. I found some bullets on the island and I have a few in my pack.'

He grabs everything, but sooner than he grabs the shotgun, the stairs lift up, this cuts Leon off from the iron walkway. 'Ok, let's see if I can get out without giving up the shotgun.'

He gets into the waterway and heads over to the other side to get some red herbs. He takes notice of the ladder and decides to head up it for the time being. 'I'll check the door down here later.'

Once he was done climbing, he notices he was back in the corridor that he was in earlier. He makes a quick drop off to the item box, before leaving the room.

He heads back down the ladder, dodging a zombie, and heads through the door. Remembering the map, Leon knows he's in the specimen room.

He heads over to the stairs, grabbing an herb before going up and finds tanks. He goes over to the controls, checks it over and presses one button, which makes a capsule go down, and hopefully less trouble.

He checks out where the capsule was and finds assault rifle ammo, which he grabs. He then exits through the sliding doors and enters the turn table room.

He sees that it was a mess, wires were out and were alive with electricity. He checks out the room to find a doorknob and takes it, but he feels he is being watched. He looks up and sees a contraption, flashing a red light on him and makes a noise.

Leon then hears something else coming. He gets up and a creature drops on top of some metal crates. "What the-?! Wait that's a hunter!" Leon only read about them in reports, he never faced them in Raccoon City.

Another soon joined it and Leon gives them a taste of his shotgun. When they were dead, he thinks about what had happen. 'There's someone else here. They seem to be tracking me with that machine and the cameras. They must have also released those hunters, so there must be more of them.'

He goes over to the chemical storage room and heads in. He discovers ammo, herbs and the chemical case.

He unlocks it and opens it, checking it out. 'There's only one chemical here. The other one has to be on this island somewhere.'

He sets the temperature, before reaching in to grab the one he needs. Once he pockets the Clement Sigma, something bursts from the damaged vent.

It was a creature Leon had never seen or read about before, but he able to dodge it and leaves the room.

Leon thinks for a moment and makes the decision to give up the shotgun for the time being. He makes a quick detour to the captain's cabin to drop off stuff he can't use or doesn't need.

Then when he arrives back to where he first found the shotgun, he places it back where he got it and the stairs come back. He heads up them and gets into the elevator, taking him back to the command center.

Once the doors slide back to let him out, he hears moaning. 'Great, zombies got in.' Leon recognizes the sounds and readies his gun. He shoots one zombie before taking the door outside.

When he was outside, he looks over the stone railing to see a plaque that had an eagle with a gold axe, however the ground where it was, was weak. It collapses as Leon tries to go down the steps and the plaque vanishes into darkness. 'Maybe I'll run into it again.'

He then heads for the other door, and has to dodge one of those machines, so it doesn't send hunters after him. He gets into a room that is trashed, finds bow gun ammo and a side pack, he now can carry more stuff.

Not wanting to deal with the spotter again, he leaves through the door in the observation room. He heads down a hall to find a door with no doorknob. Leon puts the knob, that he found on the door and opens it.

He sees that he is on the other side of the second floor garage. He checks it out, finding ammo and a tank object. After grabbing everything, he runs back to the command center to the elevator.

He exits it once he's on the first floor, but sees a spotter on the wall. He times it right and runs to the door. Once he was safe, he sees that he is in a diorama room.

He checks out the modeled base and sees where the tank object he has goes. He places it and the picture behind moves to reveal a key, a memo, ammo and a switch. He grabs the memo and key, but can't get the switch at this time.

He reads over the memo and looks in front of him where the lasers are. 'There's indentations underneath the lasers. That must be what the paper is saying. I'll have to come back.'

Leon cautiously opens the door and looks around for the spotter, but it was gone. 'Weird.'

He gets back into the elevator and goes back down to the basement. He heads down the steps on the iron walkway and takes the shotgun back.

Leon heads through the door back to the specimen room. He heads up the stairs and is half way across the room, when he hears someone laugh behind him.

"Leon Kennedy. To think we meet, face to face after all." a man's voice is heard.

Leon turns around and sees a blonde haired man dressed in black. "Albert Wesker. So you are alive." Leon said, recognizing him from the STARS office photo.

"Yes, I know Jill was hoping that me and my sister were dead, but we are beyond human now." Wesker said to him.

"What are you doing here?" Leon questions him, ignoring the beyond human part.

"The organization that Alex and I have joined wanted us to find Alexia Ashford. We thought she might be here, but it turns out she wasn't." Wesker tells him.

"The island.. You were the ones who attacked it as well as Jill! And you have Claire and Chris!" Leon said with a growl.

He remembered Jill telling him once, that the night the Wesker siblings set up STARS, that they had the Redfield siblings, something that she heard from their mouths but due to their supposed deaths, Jill thought they were with Umbrella. Now with the proof that the Wesker siblings were still alive, it was clear that they had them the entire time.

Leon starts making a move to attack Wesker, when all of a sudden Wesker appears in front of him and punches him. The strength behind the punch was staggering and Leon hits the wall with a gasp of pain.

Wesker moves his sunglasses a bit and smirks. He then uses inhuman speed to get to where Leon is, before he recovers and grabs him by the throat. Leon puts his hands on Wesker, in an attempt to pull him off, but he was immovable as a mountain.

"While I'm grateful that you helped Claire and Sherry escape Raccoon City, I can't let you become an inconvenience for us." Wesker said, lifting Leon up until his feet could no longer touch the ground.

"Not to mention, I don't like the thought of other men drooling over my wife. Claire will mourn you, but in the end, will forget about you. I'll make sure of it." Wesker said, squeezing harder.

Leon reaches with his arm and smacks Wesker across the face. Wesker did move a bit, but his sunglasses fall off. He turns to stare at Leon with his inhuman eyes. Leon is shocked at seeing Wesker's eyes.

"One last thing I should mention, Jill is still alive. She is in the decommissioned Antarctica base that Umbrella once operated. Alexia is there as well. Though it doesn't really matter, you'll never see her or Dearheart again." Wesker finishes with a laugh.

Then a female laugh is heard, "Alexia?!" Wesker said, alarmed. He thought he had made sure she couldn't see into Rockfort from where she was at.

He throws Leon away from him, he hits the tank a bit hard and it cracks. Once Leon lands on the floor, he breathes in much needed air, however something starts coming out of the tank and it reaches for Leon.

Leon sees it just in time and gets away from it. When the capsule clears, it reveals a creature that Leon hasn't come across. He quickly gets rid of it with the shotgun.

When that threat is gone, he looks around but Wesker was long gone. 'Did.. Did he say Claire was his wife?.. No, I may have had one night with her, but I've seen enough to know what kind of person she is. That guy is a monster. He had to have made that up to get to me.' Leon refuses to believe Wesker's words about Claire.

'He did say that Jill is alive and in Antarctica. I need to find away to get there.' Leon then gets back to what he was doing before he ran into Wesker.

He leaves the room and heads to the turntable. He turn it on with the key he found in the diorama room and goes up. When it stops, he sees a hole in the wall.

He takes a look at the map, and realizes what's beyond the hole was the lobby area. Having no where else to go, he goes into the lobby, but not before grabbing some bow gun powder that he saw.

He walks across the hall and into the office. He gets rid of the zombies he finds and grabs all the ammo he sees. He then finds a hole, leading into a hallway. He takes it and goes out the door on his right.

He sees that he is on the other side of the back courtyard and heads over to a ladder, while dodging a zombie.

When he is back in the basement, he looks down the passage and sees poisonous gas. He then sees the controls to the ventilation were on his right and turns it on. After a few minutes the gas is gone, but there were zombies.

Leon gets rid of them with his handgun, before heading over to the door that would take him to the storehouse.

When he enters, he had to quickly dodge a hunter before it got him. He kills it with his shot gun and heads into the repair shop.

He gets to the back of the room to find a work bench. 'This can help my gun!'

Leon makes quick modifications to his gun and turns around to leave when he spies something. 'That is the other chemical!' Leon grabs it before leaving the room.

He takes the long way back to the captain's room, taking the lift down in the tank yard. He takes out what is needed and leaves what is not. He also mixes the two chemicals together to make the melting agent.

After he puts everything away that had to be, he takes the long way back to the lobby and this time exits from the double doors. In the yard he blows away the two hunters, grabs shotgun ammo, and checks out the exit gate and door, neither can be opened.

Leon then sees a cargo lift beside them and heads inside to activate it, hoping that it can take him where he needs to go.

He arrives at a place he hasn't been to, but leaves through a metal shutter, so he can go forward and gets rid of the hunter that was prowling the area. He takes a lift up to the second floor and walks out the door that was here.

He looks over the area, to see water down below. 'This was a place to store something. Maybe a plane? If so there's no more here.'

He runs across the bridge to check out what might be there, before moving the bridge.

He enter the maintenance room to see an oil pressure gauge, that is out of whack. He reads the notice attached to it and fixes it.

However this causes the bodies to get up and come after him. He gets rid of them, grabbing the ammo once they were gone and leaves the room to get back across the bridge.

Before he leaves the bridge, he pulls down the lever and the bridge goes down. He gets back to the first floor by the lift and heads across the bridge again to reach the rest of the first floor, but not before killing the hunter that was on the bridge.

When he enters the next aera, he shoots at the zombies roaming around and grabs more shot gun shells before exiting by one of the doors.

He sees a hunter on patrol and uses his shot gun on it. When it was gone, he looks over the area, taking notice of the electricity running wildly on a lift. He heads over to the controls and uses them to shut off the electric current.

He then checks out the lift and finds three objects, that he realizes can fit into the diorama room. He takes them and gets all the way back to the diorama room, dodging monster as much as he could, and puts them in the indentations.

The lasers disappear and Leon pulls down the switch. He turns around upon hearing movement and watches as the diorama disappear into the wall and in its place, a ladder leading down.

Before going down the ladder he grabs an herb and ammo. Once he gets off the ladder, he hears scurrying. 'Great, more spiders.'

Leon blows them away with his handgun so they won't bother him, then he takes an herb and grenade shells. He walks along the passage till he finds another ladder, it was also going down.

He heads down and sees more herbs in a corner, which he takes. He then enter the water room fully and sees the eagle plate that had fell earlier. 'So here it is.. Wait there's something else in here.'

Leon watches as a strange pink amphibian creature, it was a big one and it clearly had the power of electricity. It was in the water with the plaque and Leon knew it wouldn't let him grab it, so he braces himself for a fight.

Staying out of the water, he shoots at the creature and runs around the room to shoot at it, it wouldn't stop moving.

It takes about fifteen minutes before it finally dies. Leon then gets in the water to grab the plaque and makes his way back to the ladder.

He runs back to the captain's room and uses the clement mixture on the plate. The plate dissolves and leaves behind the golden halberd. 'This can fit into the door, outside this room!'

Leon then gathers all ammo, healing items, and weapons. He then heads over to the jet corridor doors and uses the halberd, the door slides open.

At first the room is empty, then alarms blare and then he sees a plane moving backwards to him. 'Hold on Jill, I'm on my way.'

When the plane stops, Leon gets onboard and sees to his relief, that the plane had autopilot and it was already programed to go to Antarctica. 'Ok. I'll read over this pilot's manual I've found, I may need to land this thing.'

The plane takes off, Antarctic bound.

It took a few hours but finally, Leon could see the Umbrella base. 'There!' He sees a place where he can land. Carefully maneuvering inside the hanger, he gets in no trouble and the hanger was programed to help the pilot.

He climbs on it and takes the catwalk out of the hangar. When the door close behind him, Leon takes notice that there was snow inside and a vine.

Remembering Plant 42 back in Raccoon City, he shoots at it and it moves. So he keeps at it until it disappears through the hole it came from. He then sees another and gets rid of it too, however.. 'Those things use way too many bullets, I have to avoid them as much as possible.'

He gets down the ladder of the silo and takes the first set of door on his left. He looks at the ice water inside the room, but moves on to his right and enters through the door.

He was almost bit by a zombie but gets rid of him and the others in the room. He explores to find a duralumin case and shotgun shells. He leaves the room to head back into the silo.

He heads in the next door on his left, dispatches a couple of zombies and finds more grenade shells and ammo as well as a map.

He leaves this room and heads downstairs. He finds zombies in this hall, but they clearly can use poison. He gets rid of one before making it to the office.

Catching his breath, he finds an item box, which then he uses to rid himself of any guns and ammo he can't use.

He looks around the room, and finds a cupboard that is locked, but it could be unlocked with the halberd he still had. He inserts it into its indentation and the cupboard unlocks.

Leon finds a fancy paperweight and a diary. Looking over the diary, Leon sees that there is some kind of secret that surrounds Alexia and Alfred's birth. 'There might be something in that sealed off room, I need to find the jewels. However I don't know what kind of monster that their father turned into to find his.'

He leaves the office to head back upstairs to the sorting room. Heads through the other door that he didn't go in earlier. He enters the machine room and finds it flooded with ice like the pervious room.

Leon sees something across the room, he gets on the ice, but makes sure that he shoots at the bodies heads, before going foreword.

He grabs an octo shaped handle, as he starts makin his way back to the door, two zombies burst from the ice. Leon shoots at them and falls on his ass once, before he finally leaves the room.

'That was nuts.' he thinks as he rubs his butt.

He goes around the sorting room, using the ice to get across the broken bridge, but he sees something. 'There's a spider underneath the ice!' Leon couldn't shoot at it, thus continued on to the door.

He makes a detour to check out the control box and discovers it was a crane, but has no way of operating it.

He heads through the door, and stops abruptly, he sees a spotter on the ceiling, it was looking for enemies.

"Of course, Wesker said he was after someone and that they were here. So he brought his toys with him." Leon said bitterly. He dodges the contraption by heading through the sliding doors, before it got too close.

He checks out the water tank room, he spies a key in the tank but can't get it, but does find a place where he can refuel the fire extinguisher he found in the office.

'Let's see where these lifts can take me.' Leon gets on one lift and heads down to find himself back in the weapon room. The fire was still there, but now he has a way of getting by it.

Going back up to the pervious floor, Leon goes over to the other lift and it takes him up to where the tank controls are. 'I can't work at this time, I don't have the right valve.'

He gets back down and leaves the room, making sure to watch for the spotter, before going down the hall. He gets into an elevator and goes down to find himself in a courtyard.

He looks around the area, dispatching a creature as he looks, grabs some herbs and a wing object. He then decides to enter through the door in front of the elevator, before the mansion like building.

He sees he's in a icy corridor but upon hearing lots of moaning, goes straight to the door on his left. He uses the lighter to look around, find more herbs and ammo. He checks over the controls and sees that the valve he has can fit.

He put it in and turns it, making the electric current connect with the machine and gets to the switchboard. 'This lever better work.' he thinks as he pulls it.

The lights come on, much to his relive. Putting away the lighter, he takes back the valve and leaves the room.

Readying his shotgun, he gets rid of all the zombies in the corridor. Not that he had much choice, there was too many of them and the hall too narrow. He grabs the herbs before moving on.

He discovers that he is in an art room, he sees a cracked tile and gently steps on it. He looks over to the statue and sees that is had something but he couldn't reach it.

Leon pushes the statue on the cracked tile and the statue falls into it. He takes the piece of paper and sees that is was a map of the lab part. 'Good, now I can figure out where to go.'

He grabs some ammo, before going down the small hall, to find hazmat suits and at the end of it a tiger statue. Leon takes note of the jewels and takes the blue one. It moves revealing a socket that had a square. 'This can fit the valve! I can get that key in the water tank!'

He then notices that the statue doesn't return back to it's original position. Curious as to what the red jewel was hiding, he reinserts the blue jewel and it goes back to how he found it.

He then takes the red jewel and it reveals bullets that fit a magnum. 'There must be a magnum around. Just got to find it.' he takes the bullets and places the red jewel back, which makes the statue return to normal.

'I'll get these jewels another time.' Leon walks away from the tiger, decides to go down the other elevator later. Leaving the hall, he tries the double doors in the art room, but they were locked as well.

He goes back to the high voltage room and remembers that the statue only moved because he took the jewels with the power on. 'I can get both once the power is off! Wait, I can't turn it off yet. The door in the corridor won't open without power.' Leon leaves the B-5 floor and returns to the B-2 floor.

He avoids all spotters and zombies as he gets back to the office, he grabs the fire extinguisher and everything else. 'I don't think I'll be coming back here again.' He puts the rest inside a tarp he finds.

He gets back to the water tank room, but this time a spotter sees him. The hunter jumps out but Leon uses the shotgun, before heading into the room.

He refills the extinguisher and takes the lift that goes down into the weapon room. He gets rid of the flames, and looks around to find the magnum. 'A colt python, huh? This can do damage.'

He looks around some more, finding a locker with C4 and a detonator. Realizing that it was a heat seeking one, Leon uses the lighter on and runs for cover.

It blows and when the smoke clears, Leon checks it out. He finds more ammo for his handgun and grabs it all. Just as he turns around, a zombie stumbles to him and it holds him.

Leon responds by kicking it away from him and shooting it in the head. 'Seriously, Kennedy? Pay attention!'

He takes the lift back to the last floor and goes up on the other one to drain the water. He puts the valve and socket together, then inserts into the pipe. Turning it the water drains.

He goes down the ladder and takes the key, but no sooner than he does, one on the monster bursts into the tank. It scratches him, and he gets out of the tank to shoot at it until it was dead.

After he uses an herb, he reads the key. 'All right! This thing can work the crane!'

Despite the key, Leon instead heads back to the high voltage room. He drops off everything that had been in the tarp, and other things he had that he couldn't use or didn't want to use.

He then goes to the art room to take the elevator, that he didn't go down earlier. He is a bit surprised that the elevator had sprays, but that was until he remembered the hazmat suits. 'There must be something big down here.'

When he gets off the elevator, he hears strange noises. He uses the lighter and walks out to the center of the room. He sees, to his utter shock, that there was an ant's nest, a big one. The noises he hears are from the ants moving around.

His foot hits something, he looks down and sees another wing object. He grabs and an ant bites him. "Ow!" he said, before moving away from the nest.

He heads to his right, to grab an herb, before entering the double doors at the end, but not without the ants biting at him.

Leon rubs his wounds as he looks around the new room he's in. It was a lab, but he doesn't see anything that is experimental. He finds a document talking about the t-veronica virus. 'This Alexia is off her rocker. But this is why Wesker is here and unfortunately, Jill ended up caught in this mess.'

He then checks over some controls to find a strange password.

He inputs the password and a metal drawer appears. Leon sees that the paper weight he has can fit and puts it in. The drawer shuts once it had it and a strange noise is behind him.

He turns to see a capsule come up, with a body inside. The body falls out once the door to the capsule opens, Leon is stunned to see this, but then takes notice of a ring of his finger.

Leon takes the ring and realizes that the jewel on the ring can be removed. He takes it and makes the connection with the diary he found earlier.

'Givin the way things look, this must be Alfred. So I just need Alexia's and their father's proof. Assuming I can find the father.' Leon did not know where he or Alexia are.

He leaves the lab to go to the other door, the ants bite at him again, before he reaches the door and grabs another herb.

Inside the new room, Leon sees that it was a study. He had to get rid of a few zombies before he could check it out. He reads a report about the queen ant and the virus.

'So this virus already has a cure. Good to know.' Leon puts it away and continues checking out the room.

He takes out three more zombies, before gathering any herbs and ammo.

He gets back to the high voltage room and treats the wounds he got from the ants. He then drops off what he doesn't need and grabs the crane key. He also shuts off the power, no longer needing it.

He gets into the elevator and heads back to B1. He dodges the spotters again before going to the sorting room.

He activates the crane, it struggles against the ice at first, but gives, to reveal a strange monster and something green that fell. He has it moved off so he could check it out what it had dropped, "Crazy people." he said.

Leon then realizes he's no longer alone when a laugh is heard. He looks behind the monster to see a woman in a purple dress. "Alexia!" he shouts, knowing it was her.

She stops laughing, "This is the price that anyone who stands against me will face. By the way the spider is ready for a meal, won't you help it?" she asks mockingly.

From the hole in the ice comes the spider that he saw earlier, but it was no longer trapped by the ice. It attacks the crane box, trying to get in and get him. Leon gets out before it crushes the box.

"All right, your done!" Leon said, getting back up. He brings out the AK-47 and unleashes it on the spider until it was dead. He then checks out the object that dropped. He picks up the green jewel and realizes who the monster had been. 'That was creature was Alexia's father!'

He removes the jewel itself from the frame and gets back to the elevator to head back downstairs.

Once in the high voltage room again, he rearranges his inventory, before heading to the courtyard. Once there he opens the double doors and finds himself in a main hall.

He heads upstairs to check out a portrait with three holes. 'This must be where the jewels go, but I still need Alexia's.'

He checks out the upper area and sees a knife, which he takes but can't open the other door.

He heads back down to head behind the stairs when he hears something, a moan. He cautiously goes around the stairs, where he finds, cocooned to a wall, Jill.

"Jill!" Leon said. He brings out the knife he found and cuts open her prison. He grabs as she falls free and brings out to the hall, leaning her against the stairs.

"Jill, come on, wake up." Leon said.

After a few minutes, Jill finally opens her eyes and sees Leon. "Leon.. You came." she said, reaching for him as if she thought she was dreaming.

He meets her halfway with his hand, "Of course I did. I told you, I have your back." he reminds her.

Jill smiles sadly at him, "Leon, I'm sorry I had you come. I know your a government agent now and-" she tries to apologize, but Leon holds up his hand stopping her.

"It's fine Jill. I sent them an email and another one to Sherry. They know that as long as they have Sherry, I'll go back to them. However, there is no doubt that I will be punished for this, but I can take it. Because it was worth it and part of my job, rescuing civilians." Leon said.

"By the way, have you seen a young man?" Jill asks him.

"No, why?" Leon asks.

"This boy is named Steve Burnside, he came with me here. Just when we thought we had escaped this place, we ended up being attacked and got separated." Jill tells him.

"That means he's still here. I'll help you find him and then, we'll all get out of here. By the way, I ran into Albert Wesker." Leon informs her.

"So he survived too. He and Alex have Chris and Claire. As to where and why, I have no idea. I won't stop until-" Jill starts coughing all of a sudden.

"What's wrong?" Leon asks alarmed.

"T-That, ugh, bitch. I've been poi-poisoned." Jill gets out.

"Stay here, I know where I can find you an antidote." Leon said, standing up.

"I can't move, no matter how much I want to." Jill replies.

Leon leaves to go back to the weapon room, taking the water tank room lift down to it. He disposes of the zombies that had appeared and grabs the serum. He takes the same way he came back to Jill.

He gets on his knees to treat her, "You'll be fine Jill." he said as he treats her with the serum.

After fifteen minutes, Jill was feeling better. "Are you sure your ready?" Leon asks as they stand up.

"Yes, thank you for your help. Now let's find-" Jill is interrupted by a laugh.

They look up and see Alexia. "Alexia!" Leon shouts her name.

"So she was alive after all?" Jill said, somehow she wasn't surprised.

"You two think you'll escape me? Once I unleash my full power the world will be at my mercy. Then you two will under my control." Alexia said, laughing as she heads into the locked door.

"Jill, she might know were Steve is!" Leon said, rounding the stairs.

"Right!" Jill said running in front of him up the stairs.

A vine bursts into the, stopping the two on the stairs. It attacks them and the stairs, Jill was able to get to the other side all right, however Leon was not as fortunate, he falls to the ground.

After it was done, the vine retreats. Jill gets up and looks over the broken balcony to check on Leon. "Leon!" she calls to him.

Leon moves to a sitting position and grabs his leg, he was injured.

"No!" someone screamed. Jill jolts as she recognizes Steve's voice and looks over her shoulder to where the door was.

Leon had heard the scream as well, "Go on, Jill! I got herbs, I'll be fine!" he shouts up to her.

"Are you-" Jill tries to ask him, but he interrupts her.

"Get Steve! Before Alexia does something worse!" he shouts.

"Ok, we'll meet up somewhere." Jill said. She enters through the door, to find herself in a sitting room. She checks over her inventory and discovers, to her relief, that she has all her stuff from before.

She grabs ammo and herbs, checking out the room. 'There something more to this room.. Wait this bookcase is hiding something.' Jill pushes the bookcase to find a hook panel.

She finds a pipe that can fit and places it in the hook.

A picture than moves, revealing flame and grenade rounds which she takes but then the backpack she had snapped it's strap.

"Oh great! I have to leave it." Jill said, grabbing her handgun, some ammo for it and two healing items. Then she leaves the room

As she walks down the corridor, a vine busts in. It nearly hits her, she dodged it in time.

She tries the door on her left but it was locked. She goes down the hall, but another vine comes in, smacking her. "Ughh!" Jill said in pain.

She quickly gets up and shoots at the vine, until it leaves. 'Too many bullets.' Jill said checking her stock.

She heads for the last door in this hall. She sees that it had been a detention center, before zombies came about.

A zombie stumbles out from it's cell and Jill pumps it full of lead. She goes over to the stone stairs and looks over a mini armory. She grabs a security file that was by a cannon.

Reading it over, she sees that Alexander Ashford had safety precautions just in case and a weapon. 'This might work on Alexia, if we need it.'

She then turn the cannon's handle and out comes a crystal with a card in it's center. A slab of concrete connected to a chain falls and the cage behind her, can be accessed.

She goes into the cage to grab more bow gun arrows and the slab lifts up, giving Jill an idea. She gets over to the crystal to pick it up and the slab falls again. When it raises again, Jill places the crystal where the slab will come down and moves so she doesn't get flatten.

When the slab hits and goes back up, Jill grabs the card that had been left. Away from the slab, she reads security card. She heads back to a door that she didn't go through by the cells.

She heads in and goes over to a security box with bars behind it. Using the security card she found, the bars that were stopping her, go up. Before she could take a step into the hall, where dozens of armors can be seen, Jill hears the door lock behind her lock.

As she goes down the hall she sees someone, bound to the wall and with a huge axe covering them. "Steve!" Jill said, his name once she got a good look.

Steve groans at the sound of his name and wakes up, "Jill?" he asks, as she releases him from his straps.

"Yeah, it's me." Jill said, trying to move the weapon. Steve was clearly weakened, with whatever Alexia did to him, but it was too heavy. "Damn it!" Jill said, stopping what she was doing.

"J-Jill, that c-crazy bitch said that s-she was going to experiment on me. Like she did her father." Steve tells her.

"Oh no, did she do any-" Jill tries to ask him, what Alexia did to him, when he let's out a gasp of pain.

He then starts scratching himself, like something was trying to come out. "Steve!" Jill said, reaching for him, but he pushes her away.

"It's like I can't breath! Jill, please help me! Jill!" the last time he says her name, it comes out as a growl and then blood spurts from him mouth.

Jill watches in horror as she realizes Alexia had already given Steve the t-veronica virus and he mutates into a monster.

When the mutation is done, Steve looks at her with inhuman red eyes, "Steve.." Jill starts backing away.

Steve then grabs the weapon and pulls it free, "No! Steve! Fight it!" Jill pleads with him.

But Steve only gets up and it was clear that he was going to kill her. Jill then hears the bars getting ready to come down. As Steve moves to her, she turns and runs for the door.

Jill runs as if the devil is after her, and gets underneath the bars, just before they close, separating her from Steve. Jill then treats herself with first aid spray, Steve had gotten her a couple of times with the axe.

She then leans on the wall as Steve hits the bars with the axe. 'I-I can't kill him.' Jill could not bring herself to use her gun on him. Despite knowing it was only a matter of time before he breaks the bars.

Then a vine bursts through the wall, knocking her off her feet. It then grabs her, she was getting back up, and pins her arms. She now has no way to defend herself.

Jill struggles against the vine as Steve finally breaks the bars. He move to where she was and raises the axe. She stops struggling and looks at him, "Steve, if you are still there, I want to say this. I really appreciated all that you've done." she said.

Jill then closes eyes and waits for death. Steve swings the axe but stops just inches before her neck.

"J-Jill!" Steve growled out. Jill then looks at him, astonished.

Steve moves the axe away from her and uses it on the vine instead, freeing her. The vine was injured, but struck Steve in retaliation, forcing him into the wall, then it retreats.

Jill gets up and watches as Steve returns to normal, "Steve.." Jill said going over to him. She gets on her knees and speaks, "Steve, I'm so sorry. I didn't get to you in time."

Steve moves to grab her hand and brings it to his face, "It wasn't your fault. That woman is the one who did this, not you. Your so warm, Jill." he said.

"Did Leon show up?" he asks.

"Yes, he is here." Jill tells him.

"At least he came, I'm sorry I doubted it. I'm also sorry that I won't be able to keep my promise to you." Steve said.

Jill is silent, a part of her wanted to argue, that he'll be fine, however she seen enough nightmares to know that the virus can take it's toll on anyone.

"I got something to confess," Steve starts to say, "I love you, Jill Valentine."

Jill remains silent as Steve continues to speak, "I knew, despite my efforts, that you were already in love with Chris."

Jill moves to speak, but Steve looks at her, she stays silent. "I could tell as we talked about him back at the prison and the drill machine, your eyes lilt up every time you mentioned his name, but I had hoped that you would look at me like that." he said.

"I can expect that we were never going to be. So instead I want a new promise from you." he said.

"What would you like me to promise?" Jill asks.

"That you keep going until the day that Umbrella is no more. That you continue in finding Chris and his sister. Then when you do, make sure that Chris treats you like a queen. You deserve no less than that." Steve said.

"Sounds more like 'promises', but I will. I won't stop until Umbrella falls and Chris and Claire are found." Jill promises him.

"Thank you." Steve said with smile, before coughing up blood.

He looks at her, "Jill.." he says her name, before bowing his head and dying.

Jill stares at him, taking back her hand. She feels something inside her, 'No. No. I can't. Not now.'

Jill head been through a lot this past year, starting in July and all the way till now. She made a promise to herself that she would not give into her emotions until everything was settled. Umbrella being destroyed, the Redfield siblings being found, and hopefully, Chris at her side.

But now she lost a friend, who had a been a true companion throughout her capture. Despite her efforts to stop them, she feels tears prickling at her eyes.

'All right.. Just this once..' Jill buries her face into her hands and sobs over what has happened.

Line Break

As Jill was rescuing Steve, Leon had treated himself with some herbs and after a few minutes was able to get back on his feet. He then hears noises and hides behind one of the pillars.

Alexia comes onto the stairs, and the doubles doors open. Wesker comes in, "Albert, it has been sometime." Alexia said.

"Alexia, you know why I'm here." Wesker said, he had sunglasses on.

"Yes. You think that you can have the t-veronica virus, but neither you or Alex are worthy of it. Just as you two were not worthy of wedding me and my brother." she said with a sneer.

"Like we wanted to marry you two. That was your father's idea. One of the only things that me and Alex were grateful to Spencer for, was that he refused to entertain such an idea." Wesker said, climbing the stairs.

"True, the old man knew how to put his foot, unlike my father. There were two reasons as to why he wanted us all to wed, it was so that he could hide as to how me and Alfred were created and to give us a reason to adore humanity. What a fool." Alexia said.

"Fool indeed." Wesker said, stopping after a few steps.

"Still, I'm disappointed that Alex isn't with you. I would have enjoyed crushing her throat, once and for all." Alexia said, as she transforms, descending the stairs.

She becomes like a plant like human. Wesker seems to be surprised, then, once she was in front of him, she smacked him. He recovers by doing a flip.

Alexia jumps to where he is, making him move so that she couldn't get him. "Enough, you'll be coming with me." he said.

However Alexia responds by summon fire from nowhere and sends it to Wesker. He moves using his inhuman speed, but was still set on fire, as he launches himself from the wall and punches her, ruining her concentration.

Wesker falls into a roll, putting out the flames. 'She stronger than I thought she would be. If Alex were here, there would be no doubt that we would get her. I think a different approach is needed.' Wesker thinks that a different option might be needed as he stands again.

Unbeknownst to him, Leon was behind him, behind a pillar.

Alexia launches another fire attack at Wesker, forcing both him and Leon to move so they don't get burned.

Wesker hears the movement behind and looks to see Leon. 'This is perfect. I can use him to tire out Alexia, so that my men can get her and he'll be dead.'

Wesker then speaks, "Leon."

Leon gets to his feet, "Wesker." he said.

"Leon, your one of the best of the academy. I'll let you have fun with her." Wesker said. He leaves through the double doors just as Alexia uses her flames again.

As that was happening, Leon tries to go up the stairs to see if he couldn't find Jill. 'That bastard! He set me up!' Leon knows that Wesker did that on purpose, so Alexia would go after him.

As he climbs, Alexia turns around and uses the flame on him. This makes him roll down the stairs, so that he wouldn't get on fire. 'I got no choice now.' Leon braces himself for a fight.

He grabs his AK-47 and shoots at her, while making sure to stay away from her attacks. She gets a lucky strike and he had dropped the gun. "Ugh!" Leon said, in pain.

He then whips out his shotgun and starts another round at her. After a dozen or so shots, she falls to her knees. He then uses his handgun to finish her off.

Once she was dead, the flames she made died out and he looks around for her necklace. He finds it and removes the jewel from it's holding. He grabs the gun he dropped and puts it back in his bag.

He then heads up the stairs and puts in all three jewels into the portrait. When all of them were in, the portrait slides down, out of sight, to reveal a door. Leon heads in, determined to find Jill again.

As he leaves the hall, he fails to notice Alexia getting back up.

Inside a new corridor, Leon gets rid of all the zombies with his handgun. He goes through a pair of sliding doors to find himself in a lab.

He reads over a paper that talks about Alexia and Alfred. 'I see. They weren't born the same way as a normal babies. Madness defiantly runs in the family.'

He grabs some herbs, before getting on a lift. He goes down to grab ammo and sees another wing object, in a containment chamber.

He looks over the control panel, before pushing a button that open the chamber and grabs the object.

Leon then takes the lift back up and decides to head back out the double doors. 'Jill is probably fine. Maybe I'll run into her here and hopefully Steve.'

Heading back out into the corridor, he finds some herbs, then takes out the map. 'Hmm.. I think I'll try the study first.'

The map is put away, and Leon enters where the study is. He looks around to find a first aid spray, shot gun ammo, and after checking out the desk, finds a key.

'This could fit into the double doors downstairs.' he pockets it.

He then checks out the bedrooms but can't do anything with Alfred's bedroom and when tries Alexia's door, it was locked, so he leaves for the main hallway. As he goes downstairs, he sees that Alexia's body was gone.

"The hell? Wesker came back? Or did she..?" Leon wonders aloud as to where the body went.

He shakes his head and goes over to the doors to unlock them. Bringing out the lighter he heads in the art room.

Heading all the way around back to the tiger statue, he removes the jewels and realizes what they are for. 'One of these jewels matches the box I saw in Alfred's bedroom.'

He heads back to Alfred's room, but had to take care of more zombies that had somehow had gotten in the corridor. Back in Alfred's room, he places the blue jewel on the box and it opens to reveal that it was a music box.

'I don't have anything to play on it.' Leon leaves it alone to check out the statue that seems to separate the rooms.

He finds a button that moves it and he enters Alexia's room. He hears a melody playing from Alexia's music box. He looks it over and stops it, which in turn, the lid shuts and locks.

Leon then sees where he can place the red jewel, he puts it on the box and it unlocks. He grabs the music plate before unlocking the bedroom door.

He gets back to Alfred's room and place the plate inside the music box. When the melody plays, the canopy of the bed comes down and shows a ladder.

Going up it, he finds himself in a conference room. There were portraits of those who made up the Ashford family, though one of them was torn.

Leon finds ammo and herbs as well as a strange object that was in a tub, that seemed to have been an anthill once.

'Wait, with this and the wing objects I've found, they can be put together to make a dragonfly!'

Leon puts them together and sure enough, it made a dragonfly.

'Still it would appear that Jill and Steve aren't on this side. I need to take that door from the lab.'

He gets back to the lab and unlocks the door. 'So there was no way they would've gotten over to the other side.'

Heading trough the door, Leon decides to make a pitstop at the sitting room, curious as to what might be in there.

He finds a backpack on the table. 'Wait this is Jill's. It's strap is broken.'

Leon rummages through it and brings out all kinds of stuff. Once he was equipped, he leaves for the corridor.

See that there are somethings underneath the cabinets, he pushes them and takes extra ammo.

Entering the next area, Leon calls out, "Jill?"

"Leon?" came Jill's voice from behind a metal door.

'Her voice sounds.. off.' Leon tries to open the door, but discovers it was locked. "Damn it! The door is locked!" he said.

"Hey, were you able to find Steve? I haven't come across him." Leon asks.

"Yes.. but.." Jill doesn't finish her sentence but Leon got the message.

"I'm sorry Jill, but we need to go. Can you unlock the door from your side?" Leon asks.

"No and I can't lock pick it either. The self destruct activation, is what can free me. Here, this ought to help." Jill said, sliding a file underneath the door to him.

Leon takes it and reads it over, "Thank you Jill." he said, leaving the door.

He gets to the end of the hall and goes up some metal stairs. He sees that he is on a grated floor and finds the top of the ant's nest he found earlier.

He heads over to the door and uses the dragonfly to unlock it. As he enter the reactor core, he hears moaning. He gets rid of the zombies, grabs some herbs and heads over to the controls.

He inserts the security card and types in the name Veronica. As soon as he pressed enter the self destruction code activated and the locks were undone.

Leon runs out of the core room and sees Jill coming up the metal stairs. "You did it." Jill said. They embrace, glad that the other is alive.

"Yeah, but let's go." Leon said as they release each other. They head over to the stairs, but a vine break from the grated floor.

They stop and watch as something comes out of the vine. Jill then sees where the weapon to destroy Alexia is. "Leon!" she shouts and points to the weapon.

"Let's go!" he said. They each get to a key, the creature starts transforming more. They unlock the weapon, however it needed to be charged.

The transformed Alexia gets up and faces them. "Ready, Jill?" Leon asks.

"Yes." Jill said.

When Alexia makes her move, Leon shoots at her and she drops to the ground. She starts transforming into something bigger and grotesque like.

Once it was done, she starts attacking them as well as small creatures. They dodge her attacks and fire bullets at her, however Jill's gun makes a clicking sound.

"Shit!" Jill said, getting away from one of the creatures. Leon shoots at it, "You out?" he shouts.

"Sadly yes!" Jill shouts back.

Leon continues doing what he has been doing, shooting at Alexia and creatures that come out of her, as well as keep Jill safe from them.

After five whole minutes of it, Alexia starts wailing in pain and summons her ants from below.

As this was happening, the weapon was fully charged and ready. "Jill, go on ahead to the elevator. I follow you shortly." Leon said grabbing the weapon.

"Fine, I'll get the jet warm up." Jill said, leaving for the elevator.

As Jill leaves, Alexia mutates into another form with the help of her ants, which ate at the body. She can now fly, which will make it harder to kill her.

'At least this launcher has unlimited ammo. For however long the power lasts.' Leon readies it.

He has to dodges her attacks several times as he tries to aim at her, but of course with her new flying ability, it was difficult.

"Hey, Queen Bitch! Hold still!" Leon yelled at her.

Leon then sees a pattern and shoots at her, the target hits the mark.

Alexia let's out a horrible wail, her body expands until it explodes, killing her once and for all. "Good riddance!" Leon said, dropping the launcher and runs down the stairs.

He evades the flames as they come out and just when he reaches the bottom, he looks in the direction of the elevator. He is shocked to see Jill in the hall but sees that she is being held captive, by Wesker.

He had Jill's hands behind her back with one hand and was holding her by the hair. "Move." he orders shoving her in to a cell and follows after her.

"Jill!" Leon shouts running after them. When he stops he sees a hole in the cell but Wesker and Jill are no where in sight.

"I'm coming!" he shouts after them. He enters the hole to see zombies all over the place, he dodges the monsters and runs down the hall.

He sees a set of double doors in front of him and shoves them open to get inside. He sees Jill and Wesker by a submarine and machinery, with Jill still being held hostage.

"I must thank you, Leon. By defeating Alexia, you've shown just how poor her virus is, however you also destroyed her. Which means I can't get the virus she had stored in her body. So, I decided that revenge is a dish best served cold." Wesker said.

He meant he wanted to kill Leon, for destroying Alexia.

"Then let Jill go, and we'll settle this." Leon said, hoping that he will.

"I was going to take Jill so that Alex can finish her off like she wanted, but your right. I still need to settle with you." Wesker said, shoving Jill towards Leon.

Leon gets over to Jill and helps her up. "While Alexia maybe gone, I was still able to acquire the virus, thanks to Jill and Steve." Wesker said.

"What?" Jill asked.

"One of my men saw the fight on the security cameras. When the fight was over, he told me. So we grabbed Steve just as soon as you left the room, just in case we couldn't get Alexia." Wesker explains.

"The virus inside him. You bastard!" Jill shouts at him.

"Yes. We will work with him in order to break down the virus that Alexia had made. Maybe, just maybe he'll come back to life as me and Alex did." he said, taunting her.

"Jill, go to the elevator. I'll meet you there." Leon said, stepping in front her.

"No, Leon-" Jill tries to protest, but Leon interrupts her.

"Jill, I came here to rescue you. You need to get out of here alive. Though, if I somehow don't make it, I need you to look after Sherry. Not to mention, your too attached to the situation." Leon said, firmly. He saw her eyes clearly and realizes that she had been crying.

".. Ok, but you better get to the plane." Jill said.

"I will." Leon promises her. Jill heads to the double doors to escape.

Once Jill was out of danger, Leon turns to face Wesker. "When I defeat you, you will tell me where Claire and Chris are." Leon said.

Wesker removes his sunglasses, "How you get the confidence is a mystery." he said, dropping them as he move foreword.

Leon sees some metal piping beside him and grabs one. He moves towards Wesker to hit him with it, but it dents on him like he was made of sterner stuff. Wesker then responds by kicking Leon into the wall.

Leon gasps as the wind was knocked out of him and he drops the pipe.

Meanwhile, Jill had made it to the hanger, where the jet Leon had flown in was there. Jill makes a move to get into the cockpit, but looks around before she climbs up it, hoping to see Leon.

There was no sign of him. 'Leon, so help me if you do not make it, I'll be sure that when I meet you on the other side, I'll let you have it!' Jill thinks as she climbs into the cockpit.

Back to Leon, he gets up and Wesker laughs. Wesker then throws a few punches at Leon, who staggers back each time, due to the strength behind them.

Wesker then grabs Leon, knees him in the stomach and pulls him back up by the shoulder and punches in the same place. Leon falls to his knees.

"Me and Alex are no longer human, but this power we now have, is worth it!" Wesker said. Leon gets back to his feet and tries to punch him, but he dodges before punching him in the face, knocking him a few feet away.

Wesker laughs as Leon groans. Leon looks up to see some metal beams, that were right above him. This gives him an idea, just as sees where the chain holding them is.

"Magnifique, am I right?" Wesker asks Leon mockingly.

He then lunges to Leon, but Leon was ready for him. He jumps out of the in time and bring down the lever that held the metal beams. The chain makes noise as it moves and Wesker looks up to see the beams fall him, burying him.

Leon catches his breath by leaning against the wall and wonders how he and Jill will find the Redfield siblings now, when he hears a noise.

He looks over to the pile and sees in shock as the beams move. Wesker emerges from the beams unharmed and smirks at Leon.

Leon drags himself up, despite his injuries and moves foreword to meet Wesker. Wesker also moves to him, but staggers a bit. 'The wind was knocked out of him.' Leon sees this.

They stand face to face, "I'll admit, that was a nice try, but you won't be so lucky anymore." Wesker tells him.

As they get ready for another round, an explosion happens. It hits Wesker and Leon barely dodges it, a large pipe also come down, separating them.

They both stand up, Wesker had burns on his face and was holding said face with one hand. They stare at each other for a moment.

"It would appear you luck holds, but know this. We will meet again and when we do, I'll be sure to finish you." Wesker said.

"Likewise." Leon said. He runs to the double doors and hears Wesker's laughter as he gets away.

The facility was crumbling and fire was coming all around as Leon makes his way to the elevator. He pushes the button, "Hurry up!" he said aloud.

One the doors open he heads in and the elevator goes up, Leon can feel the vibrations of explosions around him.

Jill was waiting anxiously for Leon, the jet was ready, "Leon, where are you?" Jill said, looking at the elevator. Then an explosion is felt, causing Jill to jolt and the elevator doors finally open.

Leon flies towards her as another explosion throws him on the plane. "Hey." Leon said.

"Hey yourself! Get in here!" Jill tells him.

Leon gets in the back, "Please tell me you know how to fly?" Leon asks.

"Yes, Edward, Brad, Barry and Chris showed me what to do." Jill said, taking off.

They get out just in time, before the facility is engulfed in flames. As they were flying over the compound, Leon touches her shoulder. "Jill, I'm sorry about Steve." he said.

"It's fine. I know that the Wesker siblings are still alive and Umbrella is doing what they can to stop me, but I won't stop." Jill said.

"Agreed, Umbrella has to fall." Leon said.

"I'll have a talk with your bosses, when we get back to DC." Jill said.

"You don't... Thank you Jill." Leon said. He had known Jill long enough to know, that when she was set on something, nothing will dissuade her.

"Jill.. Did Claire know Wesker back when he was in STARS?" Leon asks, remembering something.

"To an extent. He never socialized with parties or other events with us. Claire only has met him, when she visited Chris at the department. Why do you want to know?" Jill asks him.

Leon is silent for moment, "Back at Rockfort, he.. he said that Claire was his wife." he tells her.

"What?!" Jill shouts.

"He said that Claire was his wife. I'm positive, that is what he said." Leon repeats.

"No.. Alex said that Chris was her husband, back at the island." Jill said, shocked.

"What?" Leon asked.

Silence.

"... There's no way. The Wesker siblings are against everything that Chris and Claire believe in. It would be a cold day in hell before they would say 'I do' with them." Jill said. She convinces herself that she was right.

"Your right." Leon said. He was relieved that Jill was on the same thoughts as he is.

"Now knowing who has them and after what happened at Rockfort, I think I'll need to take a different approach." Jill said.

"What's your plan?" Leon asks.

"I'll have a group put together to fight bioterrorism." Jill said.

"Not under the government?" Leon asks.

"Right, there would be too much regulations and other factors. I hope to appeal to the United Nations, but first I need to find people that want to make this group and I already have a few in mind. However it will take time to make it, as well as having enough people." Jill said.

"Well, I'll make sure that the US and your group get along. Even after Umbrella is gone, bioterror won't stop." Leon said.

"Yes." Jill said. Jill and Leon knew that Umbrella started bioterror, but with it out in the open now, there would be people wanting to do the same thing.

The plane had enough fuel to get them to Australia, when they landed they had discovered it was New Year's Eve.

Leon gets back into contact with US government and they arrange a plane to take them back to the States.

They get back to DC in several hours, Jill requested a meeting with Adam Benford and Simmons, who is in charge of USSTRATCOM and National Security, respectively. They meet in an undisclosed area.

"Welcome, Miss Valentine." Benford greets her as she comes in. Simmons only nods at her.

"Hello gentlemen. We all have business to take care of, so I'll make this short." Jill said, standing in front of the desk.

"I want you to lay off on Leon." Jill said, straight to the point.

"Miss Valentine, agent Kennedy ran off, on an unauthorized mission to save you. USSTRATCOM can't have that." Benford tells her.

"Your right, he left, not even trying to get your permission, to come and save me, but that is his only error." Jill said, calmly.

"He did what you are training him to do. He came to save me, a civilian, from the ones who created the B.O.W's, Umbrella." she continues to say.

"You were in-" Simmons tries to bring up Jill's past, but she interrupts him.

"I was in the Army, then Delta Force and lastly STARS. Don't remind me of my record, Mr. Simmons." Jill said with a sneer at him.

"However once Raccoon City was destroyed, STARS was officially no more, I became a civilian. If I recall right, it is groups like USSTRATCOM, that help protect and save people like me." Jill said.

"You maybe in the shadows of the government but I wouldn't be here if Leon hadn't come to rescue me." Jill said.

'What is up with her? Disobedience, such as running off.. Wait, I know what she's getting at now.' both men realize why Jill was fighting on Leon's punishment.

She wasn't bringing up not punishing Leon. She already knew that some discipline had to be done, because she has seen it before. As Jill had said, Leon's only error was not getting permission to go and save her.

She just wanted a lighter punishment for Leon.

"What exactly do you have in mind?" Benford asks.

"I'll leave that up to you. I have no interest on stepping on people's toes in their organizations, provided they don't over step themselves." Jill said, looking at them.

Benford and Simmons share a look, they knew Jill's thinly veiled threat will become a reality, if they don't agree in giving Leon a lighter punishment. Not to mention she most likely won't leave until she hears what they will punish him with.

"Does cleaning the White House floors suffice?" Simmons said, turning to look at her as well as Benford.

"Yes, but if I hear that you didn't keep your word, then I will go to the press." Jill warns.

She then turns on her heel and just as she reaches the door, Benford spoke, "You know Miss Valentine, there can be a place here for you at USSTRATCOM."

Jill turns to face him, "Thank you for the invitation, but I have other arrangements, have a good day." she said before leaving.

At last it's done! I will post the next chapter sometime later. Let me know what you think.

I need to do a brief hiatus. I will return!
