A/N: Thought I'd throw another chapter your way. Trying to stay up on all of them, which is difficult, but I do have some I haven't yet posted, including another new one I started before this, but this one sounded more interesting.

One month later.
Pacey had settled in fine with his sister in Rhode Island. What shocked him was that even by his second week in the smallest state in the country, neither of his friends had asked where he had gone.
Before he left, he asked Doug to keep his ears out for anything Dawson or Joey related, if either questioned where he went. But as of yet his invisibility cloak seemed to blind his two supposed best friends. Two weeks had passed in his lifetime of being forgotten.
He wished the same had been said about his parents. His dad would only let him go if he promised to not get in Gretchen's way, help her physically and financially and he had to not let his grades slip, to which he agreed.
His mother did the one thing he never expected her to do. Pull him into a tight hug begging him to stay, he couldn't.
He had gotten a call from his brother just after he got to Rhode Island asking what he should tell his friends when they asked where he was, Pacey chuckled sadly, they hadn't so much cared up until then, whenever then was, so why would it matter? He didn't want his brother to try and explain so he just said. "Tell them I'm in Rhode Island."
"And if they ask for more?" Doug shot back, skepticism in his voice.
"If they cared enough, they would have already asked…all they need to know is I'm in Rhode Island."
To anyone around him it would seem like he was being harsh but if his friends cared why hadn't he heard from them? Why hadn't they asked about him?
Pacey didn't know nor did he really care right now. He was moving on, ready to make new friends in his new home.
Read and review…if you want more.
