ADX Florence, Colorado, 2:46 P.M.
In a Km504 Expandable van, a group of people are looking at the security cams.
"Hmm, just as I expected," Yamaka said. "This prison is heavily secured."
"I hope so," Jaynie said with a small smile as she cleaned her guns. "Otherwise, I'll be disappointed."
Yamaka side-eye her before sighing. "Remember Jaynie, the mission is to lay undercover until you recover our prisoner. Got it?"
"I remember, Yamaka, no need to lecture," Jaynie rolled her eyes.
"Don't worry so much," Adrian said as he touched Yamaka's shoulder. "We got this."
"I know, I know," Yamaka said.
"Hey, you can't blame the boss lady for worrying," Zahra butt in the convo. "I mean we are breaking in the most secure prison in the world."
"I mean we did break into a prison before to rescue a prime minister's son," Jaynie countered, reminiscing the time when she, Javion, Nayeli, and Ariko broke into a prison.
"True, but this time it is different, we are breaking into the most secure prison in the world and if we get caught, there goes our heads!" Zahra retorted.
"Calm down, Zahra," Mvondo said. "We escape worse situations than this. And besides, this ain't medieval Europe now."
"Enough, all of you," Adrian said. "Now, Zahra is our fake IDs done?"
Zahra nodded and handed the IDs to Adrian and Jaynie. "You two are in the system now and remember to lay low, I ain't trying to have the US army on our asses."
"I don't know who worries the most out of you and Yamaka, but you two need to calm down," Jaynie said with a sigh. "Me and Adrian got this."
Adrian and Jaynie holster their weapons and exited the vehicle.
"So Yamaka," Mvondo called out, catching Yamaka's attention. "Any idea on who we are rescuing?"
"The man who hired us for this mission said we are rescuing his niece who is an important figure for a Black revolutionary group," Yamaka answered.
Mvondo raised a brow at this. "A Black revolutionary leader? Hmph, she must've made a big change if the US government got her locked up in this hellhole."
"I think it's deeper than that," Yamaka mused. "Her uncle...something tells me he isn't human at all."
"You felt it too?" Zahra questioned. When she first meets the uncle, she feels in his aura that he ain't human...he is something different.
"And seen it too. That tail isn't a butt plug and he is one of the tallest men I ever come across." Yamaka explained her reasoning.
Having not met the man himself, Mvondo is confused at the convo. "I'm sorry, but did you say he had a tail?"
Zahra turned to look at him. "Yes, he had tail and a large one at that,"
"Are you sure he isn't just a furry?" Mvondo asked in a serious tone.
Yamaka tilts her head in confusion while Zahra giggles.
"What's a furry?" Yamaka asked, this is her first time hearing that term.
"You don't know what a furry is?" Movondo asked, Yamaka shook her head. "Well, it's-"
"Woah now, she is best not knowing what they are," Zahra said.
Mvondo was about to argue back, but he thought about it for a quick second and figured she was right. "You know what, you're right,"
"So no answer?" Yamaka asked, confused on why they avoiding the question.
"Well, you know the saying that ignorance is bliss? Well, that saying applies to this convo, you better off not knowing what they are," Zahra said.
Yamaka looks at her with a wtf expression before shaking her head and sitting down next to Zahra to watch the security cameras.
Jaynie and Adrian made it to the gate.
A guard sees them and immediately stops them.
"Halt, what are you two business here?!" The guard asks aggressively.
"The names are Penelope and Chad, we're new hires and it's time for our shifts," Jaynie lied.
The guard looks at them for a second before searching their names on the computer. "Ah, you two do start today. My mistake. Well, I guess I should train you two. Follow me and I show you around."
The guard gets off his seat and begins to show them around while showing them around.
"So where you two from?"
"I'm from California," Adrian said in a California accent.
"Louisiana," Jaynie said, trying her best to fake a NOLA accent.
"Ah, you two are a long way from home," The guard said. "How y'all liking it in Colorado?"
"Well, I like it here," Adrian answered. "There truly some beautiful scenery to witness."
"And the people are nice," Jaynie added.
"All of that is true, I've been living here all my life, and yet, the scenery takes my breath away every time." The guard smiled, he was reminiscing over the times he witnessed the scenery of this state. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. The name is Rowan, I hope we can get along."
"A pleasure to meet you, Rowan," Jaynie said. "So what does this job entail?"
"Nothing much," Rowan answered. "It's pretty boring here, the inmates are very secure, so you won't see them much."
"Ah, looks like we have an easy job then," Adrian said.
"That's one way to put it," Rowan smiled. However, his smile quickly dropped. "Can I be honest with you two real quick?"
Jaynie and Adrian are a bit surprised at Rowan's sudden change of tone.
"Lay it on us," Jaynie said. 'Knowing his body language, something is weighing heavy on his chest.'
"This prison is evil," Rowan said. "Not because of the inmates, but because of the conditions we put these prisoners in. Now I admit, there are some pieces of human trash here, but to put them in those conditions with barely any freedom...that just ain't right. And they have a new prisoner that just brought in. At first, I thought she did something wrong to end up here, but no, she is innocent as the government just wants to experiment on her. I desperately want to help her, but there is nothing I can do."
Jaynie and Adrian exchanged looks with each other before looking back at Rowan.
"Quick question, how do you know this?" Adrian questioned.
"My grandfather is the warden of this prison and he let me in on any info he hears," Rowan answered.
"Take us to her cell," Jaynie said.
Rowan is taken aback by her sudden request. "Umm...sure?"
Rowan heads towards her cell with the others following him.
6 minutes later, they made it to the cell.
"Now, unlock the door," Adrian said.
Rowan is confused by the request but he obliges and unlocks the cell door.
Adrian and Jaynie enter the room and they are taken back by seeing the women they have to rescue.
'Woah, she is very beautiful,' Adrian thought while admiring her beauty.
'She has a golden halo and horns,' Jaynie thought, her eyes widened in shock. 'Who we are rescuing clearly ain't human.'
Adrian broke out of his stupor and threw the woman over his shoulder. He turns to face Jaynie. "Let's dip,"
Jaynie nods before tapping into her comm. "Boss, we get her, we are coming to you now,"
"Good work, now haul ass, Agatha clocking technology is almost at her time limit," Yamaka warned.
"Got it," Jaynie turns to face Adrian. "Now, what should we do with Rowan?"
Before Adrian can answer that, the alarms begin to sound out.
"Fuck! There goes our plan for stealth!" Adrian shouted.
"What are you two doing?!" Rowan shouted out, he was terrified at what going on. "Are you two really breaking a prisoner out of here?!"
"Yes dumbass," Jaynie answered in an annoyed tone.
"Are you two batshit insane?! No one has managed to escape ADX Florence, no one!"
Adrian smirked. "Then you haven't met us. You ready Jaynie?"
A grin crept on Jaynie's face. "Always, you grab Rowan, I covered you,"
Adrian nodded and scooped up Rowan.
"Hey, let me go!" Rowan shouted as he tried to escape from Adrian's grip. "Damn, I knew you were strong given your height, but not this strong!"
A group of guards appeared and aimed their guns at Jaynie and Adrian.
The squad leader's eyes widened when he saw the two got Rowan and the woman.
"Hold your fire! They got Rowan and Prisoner!" The squad leader commanded.
"Woah fellas, I'm sure they can be reasoned with," Rowan shouted, he was terrified right now.
"Everyone back away right now and we won't hurt Rowan," Adrian said.
"Bullshit! Your kind is dangerous!" The squad leader shouted. "Breaking in and trying to rescue a prisoner doesn't paint a pretty picture of you two! Squad, aim for their legs."
The group aimed their guns at their legs and was about to fire.
Sadly for them, Jaynie drew her two pistols and quickly shot the guns out of their hands.
The group was shocked at how fast Jaynie drew her guns and how she disarmed before they could block.
'How she was able to do that?!' The squad leader thought as he slowly backed up. 'Oh no, we need back up and quickly!'
He was about to take off, but he didn't have a chance as he fell unconscious as Jaynie karate chopped his neck.
Adrian took off.
"W-what?! I didn't even see her move!" One of the guards said.
Jaynie turns around and looks at the guards before charging at them. The guards tried to fight back, but they weren't a match for overwhelming speed and strength.
Jaynie runs after Adrian.
Adrian is dodging bullets. Bulldozing anyone who is foolish enough to get in his way.
"Who are you and what do you want with the prisoner?!" Rowan asked.
"Sorry, but that's classified information," Adrian answered. "And stop your squirming, I ain't going to hurt you. I thought the other guards were going to hesitate shooting against you, but apparently not." Adrian stops running for a second and puts Rowan before running off again.
Rowan was confused by the whole interaction. First, there the fact that two people are crazy enough to break a prisoner out of ADX Florence. Second, there is the fact that Adrian and Jaynie seem to be superhumans. 'I mean there is no other explanation. It shouldn't be possible for Penelope to draw her guns that fast and disarm all the guards within seconds and how Adrian is running so fast. I need to keep my eye out for them as something tells me that this isn't my last encounter with them."
"What with the commotion?" Zahra questioned in a concerned tone.
"I dunno, but I will check it out," Mvondo said before tapping into his comm. "Yo Adrian, what is the status?"
"We heavily underestimated the amount of surveillance this prison got," Adrian answered. "Me and Jaynie should be out shortly."
"Shit!" Mvondo hung up the comm and quickly got in the driver's seat.
"What happening?" Yamaka asked. "Have their positions been comprised?"
"They have and it's a war zone in there!" Mvondo shouted as he started the van and made a U-turn to the prison. "Which means we need to hurry up and get them so we can quickly exit out of here!"
"Goddamn it, I knew this would happen!" Yamaka shouted as she slammed her fist into the table, creating a hole in it. "Zahra, check the security cams!"
Zahra nodded and checked the cams. "Fuck, they disable the cams!"
"Then I have no other option but to go in!" Yamaka said she was about to grab her shotgun but Zahra stopped her. "Hey, what gives?"
"You ain't going in, look Adrian and Jaynie are tough and can handle themselves just fine," Zahra assured her. "So have faith in them, they will make it out."
Yamaka considered what she said and concluded that she was right. "You're right; it would be best to stay here."
Zahra smiles and hugs her. Yamaka is surprised by the hug, nonetheless, she returns the hug.
"As much I hate to break up the heartwarming moment, but Agatha's cloaking device stopped working!" Mvondo warned as he got out of the driver seat and grabs a AK-47. He opens the door and starts blasting.
Zahra and Yamaka followed suit and helped Mvondo defend the van.
"And that should be good," the guard said after he had finished wiping the tattoo. Tell me what you think of it, Arthuro."
Arthuro admires his tribal tattoo. After all these years of going through his mid-life crisis, he finally found his true heritage. "Wow, Brice you did your motherfucking thing, appreciate it, my guy. My Polynesian ancestors will smile at this tattoo." Arthuro daped up Brice.
"Ah, no problem," Brice smiled. He loved his work as a tattoo artist and it's a great way to kill in this boring ass place.
Before any can say anything else, Adrian bursts the wall and pushes the two out of the way.
"What the fuck?!" Arthuro is bewildered at what just happened.
"Is a prison break happening?" Brice questioned as he got up and grabbed his gun. He was about to fire at Adrian.
Sadly for him, he didn't get the chance as Jaynie picks him up and bodyslam him into the ground. Knocking him unconscious.
Arthuro finally regained his bearings and went for a sucker punch at the back of Jaynie's head. Jaynie turned around and saw a fist coming her way. She narrowly ducked under the blow and countered with a front kick. Arthuro gasps for air and he skids back a bit. 'Damn, she's strong as hell,' Arthuro thought as he hold his stomach in pain. 'Hmm, that face looks familiar. I worry about that later. Right now, I'm supposed to look like I care about this job.' Arthuro charges at Jaynie and aimed at a straight punch at Jaynie's face. Jaynie caught the punch and yawned. "Boring, come back to me when you posed a decent challenge to me." Jaynie punches his throat and axe kick his face. Arthuro is sent in the air and is knocked unconscious when he lands on the ground.
Jaynie ran after Adrian.
After a couple of minutes of running and shooting, the two made it outside and saw the van.
"Haul ass!" Adrian shouted as he took off to the van.
Jaynie quickly shoots twenty guards before reloading. Once she was done reloading, she shot a sniper 200 feet away without looking.
Mvondo noticed Adrian and Jaynie coming their way. "Oh, they made it out!"
Yamaka lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank God, Mvondo start driving, we pick up Jaynie, the niece, and Adrian on the way!"
"Say less!" Mvondo immediately got in the driver's seat and put his feet on the metal.
"Woah, warn us next time!" Zahra shouted in annoyance before reloading. She noticed two snipers aiming at Yamaka and she quickly shot them from 78 feet away.
Yamaka looks at Zahra and nods in gratitude. Zahra smiled back.
Adrian is close to the van and he throws the woman at the van. Yamaka caught her and made sure she was alive.
"Come on, Adrian! Jump!" Zahra shouted. Adrian leaped towards the van and rolled on the floor.
Jaynie was close behind and decided to leap after Adrian. However, she miscalculated the distance between her and the van.
Luckily for her, Adrian managed to catch her hand and pull her into the van.
Zahra closes the door.
Yamaka saw the cloaking device had cooled down and she activated it.
The shooting down died and they saw they lost the guards.
It was silent for a couple of minutes as they had to process what the hell they just achieved.
"Did we..." Zahra is flabbergasted at the series of events.
"...successfully rescue a prisoner from ADX Florence? Yes, we did." Adrian finished and answered for her before laughing. "Oh, we are getting paid today!"
"While having the US Army on our ass," Mvondo said, causing Adrian to frown at him. "I can feel your frown Adrian and we all know it true."
Adrian rolls his eyes. "Whatever dawg,"
"Let's hurry and make it to the airport," Yamaka said. "So we don't get caught up in the fallout."
"On it, boss," Mvondo nods and drives faster.
Private airport, Colorado, 5:28 P.M.
Mateo is sitting on the plane while pouring a drink to calm his nerves.
Mateo is worried for his comrades as it has been hours since he last them and he had no communicate from them ever since. 'I just hope they made it out alive,' Mateo thought while sipping his cup. 'Breaking into the most secure prison in the world is insane even for us, but Yamaka was persistent on taking the job as it was wrong for the US government to lock up someone for fighting for what right. Which I can't blame her for but we should plan for some more.'
His enhanced hearing picks up a van coming his way.
His eyes shifted to the cargo entrance and saw the van pulling in.
Mateo's eyes slightly widened as he wasn't expecting them to be back so soon. He gets over his shock and closes the cargo's door.
The group exits out of the van.
"I have to say, this mission was easier than expected," Jaynie said, her voice filled with disappointment. "I thought it be fun."
"Y'know, you really should get your battle lust checked," Zahra suggested. Jaynie scowls at her. "Or not. What do I know anyway?"
"All that matters is that we can finally head back to base," Yamaka said.
"Ah, I see that you all made it back safely," Mateo said, catching everyone's attention. "Good, I was getting concerned. I would start up the plan before they suspect a thing."
Mateo heads to the cockpit to start the plane.
The group all sat down next to each other.
They collectively sighed in relief and lay their heads against each other.
They are exhausted as this is the 6th mission they did together in a row and they are finally able to get some rest. Hopefully, they can take a break for a while.
Little did they know, their lives were about to be changed forever.
