The wails of babies crying split the calm night. In a enclosure covered with trees and seals alike the birth of twins occurred. A midwife and the wife of the third Hokage Biwaki carried both babies in front of their parents 4th Hokage Minato and Kushina Uzumaki both were crying tears of joy.
"Kushina we've done it.. you've done it you've made me a family thank you!" Minato told her in a soft voice looking upon his to babies.
"Menma looks just like you doesn't he.." Kushina said weakly with a smile looking at her babies one had blonde hair whisker marks and blue eyes the other baby was a girl with red hair and blue eyes.
"Yeah well Mito seems to be your clone as well." Minato said letting Biwaki and the midwife hold both kids as he prepared to reseal the nine tails. At that moment a snore stopped loudly as the now oldest son of Kushina and minato awoke he had fallen asleep waiting and waiting on his mother's labor when would those brats come out was his last thought before waking.
"Let me see let me see my little brother and sister!" Naruto yelled without asking.
"MANNERS NARUTO!!" Kushina yelled seemingly regaining her strength for that moment, Minato just chuckled at the scared look on Naruto's face as he quickly apologized to Biwaki as they let Naruto see his siblings.
"I promise big brother Naruto will always protect you believe it!!" Naruto said with all the excitement of a 5 year old. Kushina watched on with a smile her little fox boy, it was common knowledge that all children from jinchuriki had traits from the beast sealed in their parents but first Borna tend to get the most.
Naruto had flat red hair with blonde tips his hair stood up on top his head like some fox ears. Naruto's eyes were purple with the pupil instead of round slitted like hers were under the nine tails influence. All in all he was her little fox boy her first born with Minato, everything was right in the world as it should of been until it wasn't.
"MOMMY!!!" A Naruto's voice screamed out as he was kicked away from from the midwife and Biwaki as they both fell to the ground dead.tumbling back hitting his mother's table.
"NARUTO!!" Both Minato and Kushina yelled seeing him struggle to get back up to his feet.
"Step away from the jinchuriki 4th Hokage Minato or your babies will die in their first few breathes." A short masked man threatened a Kunai sliding out from underneath his sleeve pointed at mito and menma's faces.
'How did he get past the barrier' Minato thought to himself sweat beading down his face.
"Get away from the Jinchuriki don't you care what happens to the brats!?" The masked man taunted Kunai inching closer to slitting their throats.
"Wait please.. just...stay calm!" Minato said not calm in the least bit something the masked man picked up on immediately.
"Speak for yourself I am as calm as can be Minato." The masked man then threw both babies in the air as he moved to end them with two Kunai outstretched.
"Menma mito!!" Kushina yelled out helpless unable to move as Minato in a flash appeared in the air saving the two kids from certain death.
The masked man landed with a finger up in a single seal. "As expected of the yellow flash of the leaf but what about the next one?" As the sizzle of two explosive tags went off causing Kushina to scream both her husband and kids names but they disappeared in a flash leaving her and Naruto alone with the masked man.
"Not to worry Kushina I'm sure he's still alive not something I can say for you once the kyubi is extracted." The masked men said moving quickly to Kushina's side.
Naruto finally manages to stand to his feet the air returning to his little body as he throws shuriken at the masked man all seemed to somehow pass through his body the masked man turned his attention to Naruto.
"Ooh...not frozen in fear and not knocked out come try to save your mother, stop your life from changing into a nightmare, stop the village from being attacked by a force of nature be a hero like your father I'll give you one chance." The masked man said joy in his voice as he traumatized the boy.
"No Naruto listen run away find lord third please this isn't your fault!!" Kushina yelled tears streaming down her cheeks cursing the world she was going to die and now her first born would be slaughtered right in front of her eyes.
Naruto ran forward Kunai outstretched as he aim for the masked men's neck only for his blade to slid through him again Naruto followed up with a knee to the gut and a swiping kick to the masked mans legs but Naruto could of been fighting air nothing touched the man as tears began to stream from Naruto's face the mans laughter echoed through the whole room.
"You've had your fun boy know if you were stronger maybe you could of changed things!" The masked man suddenly solidified grasping Narutos throat slamming him down head first onto the table beside his mother who he could see in and out yelling his name but he couldn't hear it only a loud buzzing she and the man started to swirl away like a flush of a toilet slowly leaving Naruto behind.
'No no no no nooo' Narutos subconscious screamed golden red chains erupted from his back wrapping somehow around the masked men as he too was sucked into the void.
Outskirts of Konoha
Naruto hit the ground hard four chains also fell down next to him. Naruto awoke from unconscious minutes later. Running towards the screams of his mother he appeared in a clearing his mother was hung up by many black strings to two boulders hanging high in the air a red aura around her.
"What's this another sealing chains user you should be proud Kushina such talent at a young age but There's nothing you can do boy just watch the show!" The appearance of a giant reddish orange fox appeared from his mother's stomach snarling it appeared bigger and bigger as she continued to scream in pain.
'Wrap her with your chains now!" Whether it was Narutos own own voice or that of kami the young boy obeyed as he directed his four chains to wrap around his mothers stomach somehow splitting the leaving chakra in two half remaining tied down by Narutos chains in Kushina the other half roared alive half the size it normally was but big enough to destroy the village nonetheless.
"Whaat you little brat!!" The masked man cursed he was trying to weaken konoha as much as possible, Kushina needed to die and her spawn was preventing that.
"Naruto..." Kushina muttered in awe and fear of her son, awe for his determination and ability with a technique only few others had shown in their clan before and fear that her oldest was going to die saving her. "Minato please hurry!"
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Naruto didn't know if his scream was in his mind aloud or both what he did know was his body was on fire and cold at the same time the nerves prickling under his skin as he tried to contain half of the most powerful beings chakra with his little chains through love detirmation or flat out luck he was doing it he was saving his mother.
The masked men suddenly appeared in front of naruto preparing to punch through the young boy but Naruto was suddenly gone with a flash next to his mother and in another flash both were gone.
'Damn you Minato and your brat half will have to do.' As half of the nine tails became enraptured by the sharigan moving towards the village with ill intent.
Minato arivved in his trademarked flash with a knocked out Naruto and a pale Kushina, her seal mark a black pool with red starting to seep out again. Quickly drawing over Kushina's seal matrix and flashing through hand signs with the speed of a Hokage Minato placed a hand on her stomach stopping the other half of the nine tails from escaping.
Minato then looked at his unconscious son the true hero of today Naruto was bruised and battered his skin turning purple from the masked mans abuse. Clenching his fist in anger minato scooped Naruto from the floor placing the 5 year old beside his mother.
"Minato..." Kushina began weakly but was stopped by the blonde Hokage.
"I know Kushina I'll be back I promise!" With a yellow flash he was gone to fight the masked man and protect the village.
Timeskip 3 years later Naruto age 8
Minato sighed to himself tiredly he had just gotten done addressing his jonin and Anbu squads looking over the casualty report of his forces for the week with a frown. He hated how his shinobi died while he was reigned in and stuck at a desk for the safety of the village minato scoffed. If only the council and elders would let him out onto the battlefield he could of ended this 4th shinobi war in record timing but alas the politics of being Hokage were finally donning on him.
Looking at his village through the windows of the Hokage office ,the destruction, death and blood from the nine tails attack was none existent but the scars ran deep and the politics surrounding it even deeper,still he wondered just how much more pain and death they would of run into if Naruto hadn't stalled for so long allowing him to seal up Kushina saving his mother from the certain death of the destruction of her chakra system.
"What would you do in this situation Hiruzen?" Minato asked himself quietly. Turning around his white Hokage coat fluttering with the movement his eyes fell upon his predecessor's portrait upon the wall. Unfortunately on the day of the kyubi attack the third Hokage sacrificed himself performing the reaper death seal to seal the other half of the nine tails into his daughter Mito. The old man had told Minato the villagers needed him more but he knew that was an excuse the 3rd couldn't bear continuing on without Biwaki doing the seals while Minato was busy battling the masked man and the kyubi at once unable to stop Hiruzen.
'Selfish bastard' Minato loved the 3rd he truly did but he couldn't help but think his predecessor had left him holding the bag with an out of whack political system that threaten the power of the Hokage on purpose, how the God of shinobi couldn't see how his old teammates weaseled their way through the ranks of leadership was beyond Minato ;not to mention the powder keg regarding half the Uchiha who violently deserted the village shortly after the Kyubi attack unable to handle the unfair blame from leadership and the civilians.
The window the 4th was just looking out of opened revealing the form of a crouched large man with shaggy long white hair interrupting his thoughts.
"Will you ever use the door Jiraiya sensei?" Minato asked with a amused look his sensei was always a odd one.
Straightening up to his full height the great toad sage held a thumb to his face cheekily.
"there's still a lot for you to learn kid, awesome men make awesome entrances routine!" Jiraiya sat down propping his legs up on Minato's desk narrowly missing a stack of papers his face turning serious despite his attics earlier.
"Minato the prophecies changed Pa said you were no longer the child of prophecy but two from your line would shape or break the world One befriending the beast of rage, the other to to inherit the power of the sage and moon!"
"You think Mito and Menma are the two Sensei?"
"I do I considered Naruto for the path of the sage of six paths after his display on the night of the twins birth but it's just a gut feeling this prophecy wouldn't have changed on those two's birthday if it wasn't about both of them I'm positive!" Jiraiya said passionately causing Minato's eyes to widen thinking further upon the implications of this news.
"Why did you wait until now to say something this is important?!" Minato asked incredulously his anxiety showing slightly as a father would be hearing his two children were meant to save the world when they both were still toddlers.
Sighing Jiraiya took his feet off of Minato's desk putting a hand on his shoulder as he spoke "Minato right after the kyubi attack you had to deal with the lose of over 30 percent of our forces the loss of my sensei and Iwa and Kumo both deciding to flex their muscles sensing our weakness, declaring war! I wouldn't of told you even now; if it wasn't for the council allowing Kushina to clean up this war in the last few months. plus the twins are old enough now to begin the basics of basic training."
His sensei was right as he usual was on these matters. Right after the kyubi attack had been a mess ,between Danzo making a push to take the hat. Blaming his care for his wife being the reason the seal was broken. According to him she should of been made a weapon never allowed to marry or have children in the one eyed mans opinion the 4th Hokage shut down that argument quickly.
Kumo and Iwa tasted blood in the water if not for the late arrival of Kushina on the battlefield six months ago alongside Jiraiya and Tsuande this war might've been one konoha lost unless he stepped In himself leaving the village vulnerable to a surprise attack. Alas Kushina proved to be a saving grace quickly turning the tide of the battle recently finishing training that gave her access to the nine tails power in full control albeit on a time limit. The war was practically over now only small skirmishes occurring where word hadn't reached that the war was done it would be another month before treaties and lands were decided upon to be betrayed yet again regardless this allowed Kushina to be back in the village now and to start training mito exclusively.
knock knock knock* Was heard breaking Minato out of his train of thought.
"Come in!" Minato said the big red wooden doors to his office moved revealing his aid damnit he had forgotten.
"Forgive me lord 4th but your meeting with the elders,clan heads, and civilian council started one minute ago."
Turning to his sensei he stood up from his desk mirroring the cheeky smile and thumb to the face that he had seen earlier.
"C'mon we'll be there in a flash."
"THATS MY BOY!!" Jiraiya yelled anime tears streaming down his face as they both disappeared with a flash of yellow.
-konoha meeting room
Appearing in a flash the konoha meeting room was filled with bickering, all voices quieted down immediately at the hokages entrance sitting down at his designated spot, Jiraiya stood to the side behind him leaning against a table with his arms crossed. Every one was here as Minato had expected them to be Danzo, Homura, Koharu, Hiashi, Shikaku, inochi, Choza,Mikoto, and Kushina sat at the long wooden table alongside three of the top members of the civilian council.
"We demand to know who the Nine tails jinchuriki is which clan do you have hiding the child?" Danzo said immediately setting the mood for this meeting.
"Demands pssh I'm right here is that what all the fuss is about dattebane!" Kushina exclaimed pointing to herself.
"We happen to know that the fox that attacked the village wasn't the same force of destruction described 120 years ago when madara used it to fight the 1st it was about half if I'm not mistaken who is it?"
"What would you do with this info Danzo?" Minato asked him his eyes squinting at the war hawk who tried and failed to oust him.
"Simply to train the boy or girl to protect the leaf of fire never to betray the leaf to be the root which keeps the tree strong." Danzo said koharu shaking her head agreeing with Danzo her teammate.
"No one in the Nara clan is housing a jinchuriki." Shikaku said following him every clan head minus Kushina spoke up.
Jiraiya moved off the table bending down to Minato's ear "Remember the prophecy we don't want the villagers hate or Danzo's ambitions to cause the end of the world, say it's Naruto until those twins are trained up."
With a deep sigh Minato steeled himself this was the sacrifice that made being the Hokage hard. His son could potentially hate him, even loathe him and the village but he would be saving the world and the village was his son worth more than both. Already knowing his answer the blonde cleared his throat looking at everyone present confidently and spoke.
"Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze is the 2nd jinchuriki of the nine tails."
