A/N: Happy Veteran's Day to all who have served our country! This story is set post series finale. Hope you enjoy!

"I'll tell ya what Davis." Sonny says walking into the living room.

Lisa looks up from the book she was reading. "What Sonny? What are you going to tell me?"

"Whoa there sassy Davis." He sits on the sofa next to her.

"Sonny."

"Listen baby, I was gonna make a smartass comment, but maybe I shouldn't." He says, rethinking his original plan.

Lisa rests her hand on his thigh. "Smartass comment away."

Sonny leans back and drapes his arm on the back of the sofa behind Lisa. "In that case." He chuckles and prepares his best Texas boy drawl. "Seein that it's Veteran's Day and I am now a veteran, kinda feel like you should thank me for my service."

"Only kinda?" Lisa looks between his eyes and lips.

"Well." Sonny tilts his head from side to side. "Not just kinda. I survived years of mental and physical pain."

"Because I haven't." Lisa counters.

"Ah." Sonny holds his pointer finger up. "Ya, my dear are still active duty. But I promise, when ya retire, I got ya."

"Oh, but until then..." Lisa trails off.

"Until then I'm takin full advantage of this." Sonny smirks.

She shifts to face him. "You're going to milk this as much as humanly possible, aren't you?"

"I mean, would I be Sonny Quinn if I didn't?" He laughs at his own joke.

"At least you know you're a pain in the ass." Lisa shakes her head.

"But I'm your pain in the ass." He says closing the gap between them.

Lisa repositions so she is straddling him. "And I still don't know why I love you sometimes."

"Cause I'm cute and funny." Sonny says gripping her hips.

She looks into his eyes. "And generally amazing."

"Well, thank ya Davis." He grins as he reaches for the sash on her robe.

She shrugs the robe off her shoulders. "You're very welcome." Lisa runs her nails through the back of his hair before gliding her hands down his torso to find the hem of his T-shirt. She slowly pushes the material up his body, while allowing her nails to lightly scratch his sides. Sonny lifts his arms and she guides the T-shirt off and throws it behind her. Lisa splays her hands over the newly bare skin. "I feel like it is only appropriate to say thank you for maintaining all of this."

"Ya sayin I look hot?" He asks watching her pull her pajama top off.

"So hot." She whispers as she claims his lips with hers. Lisa slowly pulls away from Sonny and stands.

"Ma'am." He looks at her confusion written across his face. She simply curls her pointer finger in a come her motion. "Ah a little naughty Lieutenant Davis time." Sonny stands and pulls her flush against him. He feels Lisa grip his hard length over his sweatpants. "Are ya doin what I think you're doin?"

"Yes." She smirks before attaching her lips to his neck.

"You're really takin this whole thankin me for my service thing serious." He feels her mumble against his skin as she continues to kiss down his body. She kneels in front of him and looks up at him before hooking her pointer fingers into the waistband of his sweatpants. She tugs them down, freeing him. "Shit." Sonny groans as Lisa takes him into her mouth. "Damn Davis." He pulls her hair from her face and locks eyes with her. "You're so goddamned good at this." He grumbles as she speeds up the motion between her hand and mouth. "Shit Lisa." He moans as he feels a familiar tightness creep across his body. "Fuck." He grunts as he falls over the edge. Sonny falls backward onto the sofa, pulling her down with him. "As always that was incredible."

"I am to please." Lisa giggles as she settles onto his lap.

"Have I told ya recently how much I love ya." He hooks his finger under her chin, guiding her lips to his.

"I love you too." She grabs the side for his face and crashes her lips to his. "I think you should take my shorts off now."

"Oh, I should, should I?" Sonny shifts, laying her on her back, him hovering above her.

"That's a start." Lisa notes as his lips move from her neck to her collarbone. He nibbles his way to her left breast and sucks the peaked nipple into his mouth. "Mm Sonny." Her hand instinctively finds the back of his head. "Now please."

"What polite way to tell me to hurry the hell up." He chuckles.

She watches him kneel between her legs. "And now." She lifts her hips off the couch.

"I was gettin there." He reaches forward and pulls her shorts down her legs. "Fuck, I never get tired of this view."

"You better not." She smirks as her eyes rake over his body, anticipation building heavier by the second. Lisa loops her legs around his waist, drawing him closer. "Shit Sonny." She moans as he pushes into her.

"Damn Davis." Sonny leans down and kisses her. "Ya feel so fuckin good." He groans as he finds the rhythm and angle, they both like.

"Mmm just like that Sonny. Don't stop." Lisa says while running her nails across his back. She digs her nails into his shoulders as the pressure builds in her lower abdomen. "Fuck." She groans as her body contracts.

Sonny leans back and takes in the scene before him. "Shit Lisa." He keeps up his pace and movement until he is overtaken. He collapses next to her.

She cuddles into his chest. "Do you feel properly thanked for your service to the country?"

Sonny's hand rests on her hip. "I'll tell ya what, I feel more thanked than when the president shook my hand and thanked me for my service."

"I would be quite offended if I didn't out rank a handshake." Lisa giggles.

"Careful, that's your Commander in Chief." Sonny jokes.

Lisa holds up a finger. "Former Commander in Chief."

"Oh, my bad." Sonny laughs and leans his head sown to kiss her.

"Are you happy?" She asks suddenly.

"Of course I am Davis."

"I mean, like really happy." Lisa sighs. "You are retired and living in DC."

"Both of those facts are correct." Sonny locks eyes with her. "I love ya and I love finally bein able to be with ya. Has not operatin anymore been an adjustment, yeah." He pauses. "But I get to be with ya and I can go and see my kid when I want. Lisa, I'm good, my Batman days are behind me."

"Good." Lisa kisses him again. "I'm not sure my heart has ever felt this full."
