The Unforgiven
Chapter 5
The two kept kissing their hands caressing each other bodies.
Brooke knew if she didn't put a stop to this her thin layer of self control would break. And she couldn't have that.
Brooke soon broke the kiss. Both gasping for breath. Looking to each other.
Her hazel eyes darkened. Her skin flushed. How she just made him want to live in the here and now. He missed her everything about her. Lucas thought to himself.
"You shouldn't of done that. We haven't been in each other's lives in 10 years. Who we were when we knew each other last is so different."
"We're adults now with established lives and careers." Brooke said.
"You didn't say goodbye before you left."
"I know i ended things all those years ago. I should of stood beside you when everything blew apart and i didn't."
"You couldn't depend and count on me then. During the worst period of our life but things are not the same."
"I love you. I'm in love with you."
"God Brooke. I've tried to move on to forget. It always comes back to you. What was taken from us that future."
"Let me step up and be there for you now." Lucas insisted.
The expression on Brooke's face softened.
She caressed his face with her hand.
"Too much has happened. For us to ever be together."
"I love you Lucas. I always have. I always will."
"But we need to let each other go." Brooke proclaimed. With emotion in her voice.
