So here is where we get a little more information on what Bridget was trying to accomplish with that mysterious application on her computer even though she apparently hadn't yet tried it as Caesar was the first to do it, if Bridget had done it first she would have been the one to connect to the Interstellar Broadcasting System (Now that I'm older and know what I.B.S. usually stands for was this a subtle toilet humor joke from Broderbund?) and if she had discovered the Alien Tales game show she would have immediately found them suss and probably would not have participated in the game show which for for Sal would have been no skin off his nose if that had been the case as she wouldn't have been the first Earthling he had encountered but since Caesar was the one Sal has a bunch of information he wouldn't have otherwise had
Ichabod and Bill rushed over to Bridget's Room to find the Striped Bass-Girl desperately typing away at her computer and when she found nothing she was doing was working she clutched her head and started sobbing!
"Bridget!" Bill exclaimed "What...What's the matter!"
Bridget inhaled sharply and sat straight up "I'll tell you what's the matter!" She snapped and she turned to Ichabod
"One of your overly-precocious foster cubs has apparently been sneaking onto my computer for weeks now! Possibly months! And he activated a super secret experiment I was working on!"
And Bill folded his arms "What super secret experiment? Bridget? Why didn't you tell anyone about this?"
Bridget sighed realizing in her anger she just revealed that she was keeping a secret about something potentially very dangerous to the Federation.
"There is a section of the Milky Way that has undergone no colonization attempts or apparently exploration." Bridget said "When I tried to find any research on why this could possibly answers kept coming up blank! Like no explanation at all to why no Earthling seems even interested in even exploring this area!"
Ichabod and Bill looked at each other.
"Psychic hypnotic suggestion?" Ichabod suggested with an eyebrow raised "Implanting in any intruders the idea that they don't want to go there?"
"Perhaps…" Bridget said "...But the more I dug I found that like no one has ever proposed looking at that section or even mentioned it in any way shape or form it's treated like a complete non-entity! So...With my computer I...Reached out to try to see if I could connect to any potential satellites that might be in the area…"
"And what did you find?" Ichabod asked now extremely curious after all this exciting build-up
"I...Didn't attempt to find out…" Bridget sighed "...I was too worried about attracting something dangerous while we're in the middle of a war! So I simply let the application sit on my computer waiting for a more opportune moment for it…But then that Chimp Cub Caesar apparently has been sneaking on my computer at least since my Pilgrimage to Delphi possibly even before that and he said he's been playing some kind of...Game show online with aliens! When I we went back to the computer so he could show me there was nothing there! The screen had gone completely blank! I tried to reconnect but it seems the aliens after seeing me confront Caesar while he was playing sensed the jig was up and severed all the previously made connections!"
The partially mutated human and the Bull-Boy looked at each other uneasily...This did not sound good!
"Where's Caesar now?" Ichabod asked
"He…" And Bridget realized she had gotten to caught up in trying to reconnect that the Chimp-Child had snuck out
"….He was here a moment ago!"
Caesar knowing what big trouble he was in now, he slipped out to where he knew spare Dimensional Jumpers were held put on on his wrists and jumped to where his Herd Siblings would be.
So I like that Bridget was herself keeping a secret that she knew could potentially get her in trouble making her not so different from Caesar herself
