Chapter 2

The Old Gods and their resolve

The world is vast. It is not limited to one planet in one dimension but several hundreds of planets in thousands of dimensions. Throughout the world there are four constants – Nature, Magic, Time and Destiny

Nature is everything that is physical, tangible and measurable to some extent. The Nature basically comprise of five elements – Air, Water, Earth, Fire and Sky. Everything that exists in singularity of these elements or in varied combination of any two or more of these elements is part of nature

Magic is everything that is metaphysical, intangible and unmeasurable. It is a power that shapes the reality in conjunction with the rest of the constants. The dimensions come into being through the working of magic.

Time is everything that is metaphysical, intangible and measurable. It gives the world a tenure, a timeframe, a beginning and end to everything, a narrative to the world.

Lastly comes the Destiny. It is intangible, metaphysical and purpose to everything that exists. It is through this purpose that everything gains character.

All these constants are sentient, primordial and absolute powers that rule the world. There are other powers as well that exists but they are localised and thus lesser beings compared to the four constants.

In some worlds these constants are called higher powers, some other worlds deities and in world of Planetos, they are called Old Gods.

These Old Gods have been watching the world of Planetos for a very long time and they find themselves dissatisfied with how things turned out to be. Destiny barely fulfilled by the people of the world, utter destruction and desolation left in the wake of pride, prejudice and narrow visions of the mortals of this world, which in turn is entirely owed to power struggles between local gods.

Dissatisfaction leads to lamentation which in turn brought out determination within the Old Gods to right the wrong. And the centre of this will be Jon Snow. There is much that Jon Snow needs to learn in order to develop a well-rounded personality. And who else to teach him this other than Harry Potter.

The meeting with the Gods

Jon snow was heading with the remaining freefolks and members of the Night Watch toward the land that once occupied the wall to renew his oath. His heart filled with utmost grief and resignation. He saved the people that were left alive after the long night by killing Danaerys who was clearly becoming a tyrants whose ambition, desire for conquest, loneliness and paranoia were a threat to peace and normality that everyone desperately desired. And after having done a great service to the people, he was once again shelved toward the Night Watch, an only place where the last Targaryen that was raised as bastard, seen as bastard by everyone in their mind in spite of his legitimacy. But he had no qualms. He was where his heart belonged. Among people who do not see a Targaryen threat to Iron throne or a Stark king to the Stark Queen but simply as Jon a Northman.

He and the freefolks have now reached the ruins of the Wall. After setting the camp near the ruins of Castle black, he along with Tormund, Ghost and Edd Tollet went to the heartwood tree to pledge the oath. But the moment he touched the roots to pledge oath, the world dissolved around him and found himself in a forest of weirwood trees.

Jon's POV

Once I gained my balance, I found myself lying in a huge forest immersed in radiant ethereal light coming from the weirwood trees. I looked around myself and there are only weirwood trees and the radiant ethereal light was coming from the weirwood trees themselves. And that's when with absolute clarity I understood what truly a godswood look like. I was mesmerised and rooted at the same place upon realisation when I heard my name being called from far away. I started walking toward the voice and kept on walking for perhaps days until I reached a huge towering heartwood tree with a face protruding from its bark. All other weirwood trees were facing this towering heartwood tree and that's when the eyes opened and four beings emerged from the radiant shower of lights that originated from the eyes of the heartwood trees.

Upon the emergence of these beings, I got crushed under the overwhelming power they all were exuding and only when crushing heavy presence receded did manage to get up but I dare not get on my feet. I stayed on my knees.

There were two males and two females. One of the females was dressed in green and bronze and has olive skin. The other female was dressed in red and gold and has fair skin. One of the male was dressed in blue and silver and has pale white skin and the other male was dressed in gold and black and has reddish skin.

The one in green and bronze addressed herself as Nature. The one in red and gold addressed herself as Destiny. The one in blue and silver addressed himself as Magic and the one in gold and black addressed himself as Time.

Destiny said, "Dear child, you have suffered greatly and at time needlessly. You have fulfilled destiny but only barely. Life is not just about fulfilling the destiny but securing value to it. It was your destiny to gather the people of this world to defeat the Long Night and through this create and leave behind a legacy that could would have served as the foundation for the next Long Night. The Long Night and the war of dawn meant to test the mankind of their inner strength. The mankind has survived the Long Night but lost itself. Mankind without hope and humanity will always end itself. The society, the realm, the known world to the mankind is utterly desolate and fractured. Soon enough in the next 50 to 100 years, the mankind will force us to wipe them out completely and start anew. We can do this but we want to explore an alternative first."

Time continued from there and said, "I will reverse the flow of time in this world and allow you a second chance but unfortunately you suffer from the prejudiced conditioning of your upbringing which will always be your undoing."

From here Magic continued and said, "We have decided for your soul to merged with the soul of Harry Potter and that together you both will not only fulfil your respective destiny but also create and leave behind a legacy that will serve as role model for the rest of the mortals."

Nature said, "You and Harry Potter will learn from each other's memory and experience and as single cohesive consciousness will redo your life journey."

And with that I lost my consciousness.
