Inconsistency. Chapter 11.

~}I{~

Tomoe was trying to comprehend what had just happened within the past few hours… She took a deep breath as she leaned back against the wall, feeling relieved that she wasn't writhing in pain anymore. Tomoe opened her unseeing eyes as she quietly listened to what was happening around her.

There were so many sounds… Mostly from people talking but that was how she learned that… Mythical Creatures were… Were surprisingly real! Flesh and blood real! And they had been saving everyone they could during this sudden wave of intense pain!

'Oh, so he wasn't wearing a glove!' Tomoe thought when realisation hit her. She then thought back to the moment that pain suddenly took over her being, which in itself was weird given Tomoe's high tolerance to pain. She was in Tatsu when it happened, and he was programmed to monitor the well being of his passengers. So, of course, when Tatsu sensed that his main priority passenger was in an immense amount of pain, per his program, he asked Tomoe if she was alright and if she needed to be brought to the hospital. And, of course, the blind woman told the car to take her to the nearest hospital. Tatsu immediately used the GPS to locate the nearest hospital and the quickest route to it, then followed through on the order.

However…

What Tatsu couldn't foresee were the others affected by the wave of pain causing accidents and obstacles for him. Luckily, the self-driving car took evasive action while keeping on route, but unluckily, he had to do this multiple times and caused Tomoe to jerk from side to side, which didn't help the pain she felt. Sadly, Tatsu was unable to keep up with all the sudden hazards and ran into something sturdy. The safety features engaged as soon as the collision happened, saving Tomoe from further harm. When the airbags deflated, Tomoe snapped at Tatsu to tell her what happened. Only the self-driving car didn't respond, no matter how many times the blind woman called his name. Tomoe logically figured that the collision knocked something out of place or short-circuit something, but that still didn't stop her from panicing. How could she not?! Tomoe was in too much pain to move and the only thing she could depend on as of now was no longer functioning.

That was when Tomoe started spiralling in fear. She was in pain! She was alone! She couldn't move! She couldn't defend herself! She was helpless!

The sound of the door to Tomoe's left being forced open, snapped her out of this spiral. Her first instinct was to use her wooden katana to jab at the sound, and that is what she did despite the pain. That was when she heard the deep voice of an adult male saying, "Oh, good! You're alive." This made Tomoe pause to process these words. The voice then said, "Is there anyone else in the car? Are they also alive?" Tomoe heard the owner of the voice getting in to look around. The person then told Tomoe, "Listen, I need you to come with me. You have to be brought to a safer place." Then soon enough, the person took the blind woman's hand, his hands felt oddly leathery. Tomoe assumed that the man was wearing gloves.

Voices talking snapped Tomoe out of her memories.

"Are those kids from Dupont?" "I-I think so…" "Looks like they're helping out." "Oh, thank God they were able to avoid whatever horrid event that was."

Tomoe let out a sigh of relief. Kagami was spared from that pain… She didn't have to go through that feeling of helplessness. That was when Tomoe realised that she needed to get to her daughter! Kagami didn't know she was okay!

Tomoe tried to stand, but she couldn't. Ah, right the attending medics told her that she wouldn't be able to move for a while… But Tomoe needed to get to her daughter!

With everything weird that has happened, Kagami should be worried about the situation! Tomoe needed to get to her daughter!

"Ma'am, please stay seated!" The medic told the fencing champion as they gently yet firmly coaxed her to return to her place. They then added, "You are in no condition to be active. I know you want to reunite with your kin, but as of now, we are asking everyone to remain where they are." Once Tomoe was sitting the medic continued saying, "Things are chaotic, but once things are settled, all clans will be reunited with each other."

Tomoe didn't like it, but she knew the medic was right…

Prowl couldn't help but stare at the Magical Globe as more red dots appeared on it in new locations. The homicide officer looked worriedly at his mate when he said, "This is going to get the other Magi Guardians involved."

Jazz was still not smiling when he stated, "Ah know, but Ah gotta take care of tha issue with that bracelet, which is most likely what caused that wave ta hit all of Paris." He clicked his tongue as he saw how many more countries were being added to the count, which also meant that more of the other Magi Guardians had to get involved. Then add the news of the Magical Side being exposed to the Non-Magicals…

Iraland, Greenland, Iceland, Greese, Netherlands, Philippines, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, and New Zealand now had red dots on them on the Magical Globe. While the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, Israel, England, Egypt, Africa, China, Japan, and Australia gained more red dots in different locations. The red stain that was Paris was glowling like a blood pool to coat the native country of France. And there were still more red dots appearing on the Magical Globe! It was slower than earlier, but that meant the death toll was still rising…

This was a complete international mess for both the Magical and Non-Magical sides!

The Non-Magical World will Not take kindly to This world-scale issues! Even more so given the fact that the Magical World was exposed to all!

Jazz's fangs were visible through his tightened lips. A pulse of scales surged over the Magi Guardian of France's visible skin before disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Officer Prowl saw this and moved to wrap his arms around his mate. "Don't blame yourself… You didn't cause this…" the homicide officer told the other.

"Ah know…" Jazz replied as he placed his hand on his mate's arm. He then added, "But it still happened in muh territory." His fangs grew sharper as another pulse of scales surged over his visible skin before disappearing again. Jazz then stated, "Ah have ta deal with that little thief."

All Prowl could do was hug his mate closer right now.

With the Miracuclass…

They kept close. The students of Miss Bustier's class just couldn't… Couldn't stay calm without having each other in sight… The teachers were also nearby, as were the Drac-U-Allies, Nino's family, and the Dupain-Chengs. The Césaire Twins, Ella and Etta, turned up a minute or so after Chris bolted, and, of course, were scared when they saw Nino transformed into a werewolf, but that didn't last long when they realised that Nino was still Nino despite his appearance changing. Things were certainly hectic, but at least they were with their big sisters now…

They all ate a simple meal, they needed the energy. Though the Miracuclass was a little thrown off by the whole Nino being a werewolf, but… Not their main priority right now.

Then there was an… Interesting surprise.

"Guppie!? Oh! Thank Poseidon!" Everyone turned to see an aquatic Magical. He had sky blue skin, bright yellow eyes with black cat-like slits, had a light purple fin on the top his head that hung over the left side of his head, had webbed hands and feet with pointed nails, he was wearing a pair of knee-length khaki shorts paired with a green tank top, and had a tail that was clearly for swimming with light purple fins.

Kim got to his feet in shock when he got out, "Papa!"

The next thing everyone knew, the Aqua Magical pulled Kim into a hug when he said, "Oh! Thank Poseidon! Guppie, you're okay!" He towered over Kim by a head, easily.

Kim tried to pull away, only to look the taller man in the eyes, when he asked, "I'm glad you're okay too, Papa, but…"

The Aqua Magical realised what he was doing and quickly released his grip on the tall teen as he apologised.

"Uhh…" Ivan got out in confusion, causing the Aqua Magical to realise what was happening and Kim to remember that they were there.

The tall teen rubbed the back of his head when he told his classmates, "Uh, right, uh, you guys remember my Papa, right?"

The Aqua Magical gave the group an awkward wave when he said sheepishly, "I'm usually wearing my glamour to look more human."

Ah! Now that the two mentioned it… The Aqua Magical did look pretty similar to one of Kim's dads!

Oh! That also explains why Kim knew about the Magical Side! One of his dads was part of that world!

The aqua Magical, Mr Lê, let out a sigh when he said to the Miracuclass and the Dupont staff, "This isn't how I wanted you kids to find out about… This." He indicated his form at the last word he spoke.

Nino couldn't help but comment, "Tell me about it." He looked up at the full moon peeking over the buildings. Nino let out a sigh when he asked his family, "Do you think we'll be able to book a room at the 'Wolf Ward' for the next full moon?"

Winnie Lahiffe couldn't help but say, "We can, but now isn't a good time… I just hope we can get a room for you." Glenda nodded in agreement while Clawd, Clawdeen, and Howleen were glad that they didn't have to deal with that stage anymore but were worried for their nephew.

Mr Lê looked around worriedly at the other were-creatures in the nearby area when he commented, "I hope you can even get a room at any of the Were-Wards..."

Officer Prowl and Jazz rejoined the group, neither looking all too happy about what had been happening. From what the two told the group, their were more international deaths, making the scale bigger than before… Thus an even bigger international incident… More countries were going to have to get involved, including the Magi Guardians who preside over these territories…

Jazz let out a sigh when he stated, "Ah have'ta take on this personally, so Ah gotta ask littl' Adrien if he's sure that tha wave felt like tha magic that came from tha bracelet tha littl' thief was wearin'?"

Adrien let out a low growl when he said bitterly, "Trust me. I'm fucking sure."

Jazz's brow rose above his visor at the word usage while the parents and teachers were quick to chastise the blonde model for language. The Magi Guardian let out a low hum when he stated, "Acknowledged." He then stood up as he brought his left hand to his lips, placing his thumb and middle finger in a whistling position and let out a strange whistle that was this weird combination of high-pitched and low-pitched.

The strange sound blanketed the immediate area, calling attention to the Magical Police Enforcers to gather.

Jazz looked at his clan when he stated, "Given what was learned sa far, yah need ta stay here."

Tom, Sabine, and Prowl instinctively huddled around Marinette, knowing exactly what was being implied. The youngest of this couldn't help but feel her stomach churn at this, knowing that if this pattern continued... Oh, did Marinette not want to think about that.

Adrien saw and wanted to comfort his Lady, but knew he couldn't right now, and especially not in front of her now very protective family. The Black Cat Holder couldn't blame them… He's seen first-hand how Lila has been acting and wouldn't put it past the manipulative bitch to pull something nasty to Marinette. Adrien bit his lips as he thought back to when Lila put him under that mind control spell… And knew that Lila could do something just as bad to Marinette…

Adrien then felt an arm wrap around him. He looked up to see that the person was Al, who was looking down worriedly at him. The younger blonde leaned into the embrace of the older. The half-vampire hugged the Black Cat Holder close, giving the younger some comfort.

Suddenly, a winged Magical descended over the group and landed near where the Magi Guardian was. Of course, this startled everyone except Jazz.

The winged Magical had muted gray feathers over the visible parts of his body with his flight feathers being an orangey-yellow hue, dark gray bird-like legs, wearing a pair of beige slacks that reached his knees, had on a black sleeveless shirt so his wings could be free to use, black eyes that had light blue colouring around them, and a small blackish-gray beak. The winged Magical bowed respectively when he said, "Magi Guardian! I spotted something strange heading this way!"

In a serious tone, Jazz asked, "And what did'yah see that was strange?"

The winged Magical looked the Magi Guardian right in the visor when he stated, "A large group of people hauling some kind of pedestal throne with a teenage girl sitting on it and some kids throwing flower petals in the path while other teenagers were holding up flags with images of the girl on the throne's face on them."

A gleam crossed Jazz's visor when he asked, "What did tha teenager look like?"

The winged Magical gave the Magi Guardian Lila's description without missing any detail. He then looked confused when he added, "I didn't want to get too close and give myself away, but I was able to overhear that sausage-haired girl talking about a grandiose photoshoot at the Eiffel Tower…"

Shockwave took a step closer to the winged Magical when he stated in that monotone voice, "But there's no photoshoot happening here. This is where we chose to gather all the surviving humans because it was the best landmark to use."

The winged Magical gave the dark elf a glare when he stated, "I know that, hence why I thought it was strange that the sausage-haired teenager would think that…" His attention was on the Magi Guardian when he stated, "And the fact that these human adults and children seemed to be acting under mind control magic…"

Jazz nodded when he stated, "Ah understand, and that particular teen just sa happens ta be tha one Ah was seekin'. She's already in a whole lottah trouble."

The winged Magical clicked his tongue when he stated, "I'm not surprised."

Jazz nodded his head towards the Miracuclass group when he stated, "Go to your clan and stay with'm." He then walked away as he started giving out orders to the Magical Enforcers.

The winged Magical was confused as he looked towards the group. He was shocked at what he saw before he exclaimed in joy, "Màu! Kim!" He fluttered his wings as he practically leaped over to Mr Lê and Kim. He wrapped his wings around the two in a big hug.

Kim couldn't help but groan in annoyance when he got out, "Cha! Papa just did this!"

Mr Lê couldn't help but say, "Guppie, given what happened today, let your Dad do this." Kim had no rebuttal to this as the winged Magical being continued to hug his family.

Oh! The winged Magical does kinda resemble the other Mr Lê, just with wings and feathers…

The Miracuclass decided to let the little family have their moments as Jazz came back to them… With Wang Fu following right behind him…

That was… A sight…

But it wasn't for pleasantries…

Jazz wanted the Miraculous group to stay put, but be ready to act if needed. And oh boy was it weird to hear the Magi Guardian sounding so serious. Or rather, it was weird hearing the usually laid back guy being serious…

The group understood as Jazz gathered the troops to go after the bigger threat.

}{

Lila lounged on her throne as her minions carried her to the 'photoshoot' that was clearly planned to perfection for her and her Adrien. She didn't even realise that the streets were bare of anyone or the fact that there were wrecked cars that had been moved out of the way. In Lila's now-very-warped mind, everyone in Paris was praising her and staring at her in awe as her spell intended.

However, the individuals under Lila's mind control were seeing and feeling something completely different despite the smiles plastered on their faces. They saw the empty streets, the totalled cars, the destroyed items on ground level with debris scattered around that they were trying to avoid stepping on, and knew that where the floodlights were wasn't a photoshoot… Cecilia knew her apartment neighbours were thinking the same thing when she saw the pools of bloods scattered around and thought, 'Oh my God! What the hell happened?!'

The residents of Phantasma's apartment were already thinking the worst had happened to Paris, and were disgusted with Lila's behaviour, especially Cecilia. The children and teens who were throwing flowers and waving banners with Lila's face on them, wanted to go back to their parents and home.

"Ah suggest yah stop right there, Lila Rossi," Jazz stated seriously as he stood directly in the path of the 'parade'. His arms were folded in front of his chest as his visor glinted in cold furry. The Magical Enforcers were standing right behind the Magi Guardian, all with matching serious expressions.

Lila signalled her minions to stop. They did and despite their mindless smiles, they were utterly shocked at what they were seeing before them.

Except for the man standing front and centre, the rest were creatures of myths.

Winged-creatures, minotaurs, faes, serpent-like monsters, water-based monsters, elves, and were-creatures!

All solid! All Real! All looking like they weren't too pleased with what was going on!

Lila told her minions to lower her throne so she could disembark. They did so, with relief. The damn throne was heavy! Lila stood up when she demanded as if this was some minor inconvenience, "And what are you low-lives doing? You should be worshipping me like the queen I am." She didn't even care to notice the… Appearance of the beings in front of her.

Jazz tilted his head to the side slightly with that frown on his face and asked in a serious tone, "Oh? Why would we be doin' that?" A knowing glint gleamed off of the visor he wore as an orb of light the size of a baseball that was a harmonious combination of canary yellow and cyan blue hovered next to the Magi Guardian's left shoulder.

Lila flipped her hair over her shoulder when she got out in a 'I am mightier than you' tone, "Because I cast a spell all over Paris to make everyone worship me or suffer greatly." She examined her nails when she added, "Clearly, you should be kneeling before me since none of you are writhing in pain."

A few hisses and growls were heard from the Magicals behind the Magi Guardian at the response.

Jazz held up his right hand to silence the Magicals behind him. Once it was quiet, the Magi Guardian stated, still in that serious tone, "So, yahr admitting' that yah caused that strange Magical wave that covered Paris?"

Lila rolled her eyes when she stated in a tone that could easily be read as 'do I have to spell it out for you', "Duh, there's no one as powerful as me who could cast such a spell."

After hearing these words, all the Magicals had expressions of disgust.

With a scowl, Jazz stated, with a serious tone unchanging, "Powers got nothin' ta do with intent, and yahr intent caused a whole lottah people ta die." The odd orb darted over to the brunette teen, then hovered outside her peripheral vision and sight line.

Lila scoffed in annoyance, "And why should I care about that?" Not even noticing the blue and yellow orb, the liar then stated in an 'I don't give a damn' tone, "If some people want to be stupid instead of serving their purpose to me, then I don't care what happens to the lesser beings."

The mindless smiles on Phantasma's Building residents faltered in disbelief before the spell forced the mindless smile to stay on their faces. Cecilia couldn't believe that her daughter was acting this way and saying all those things! 'Dio mio! Lila! What happened to you? And was I the cause?' Mrs Rossi thought in dismay and horror as a single tear fell from her left eye and trailed down her face that was forced to bear an emotion that wasn't there.

Of course, the Magicals were even more enraged by those words. Not that anyone of sound mind could blame them.

Jazz was unreadable except for the poten frown that did little to hide the sharpe teeth that were poking out between his lips. The Magi Guardian then stated, tone unchanging, "So… Yah don't care about tha lives yah destroyed or tha international incident yah caused."

Lila smirked as she flipped her hair over her shoulder to preen when she said in a casual tone, "Oh! We're having an international photoshoot! Perfect! Now the world will know how amazing I am!" She turned to walk back to her throne.

Jazz raised a brow at this when he stated in that still serious tone, "That an't even close ta what Ah said." He, as were the other Magicals, had this weird combination of disgust and confusion at the words and actions of the liar.

Lila snapped her fingers to get her minions to act when she ordered, "Take me to my photoshoot. Adrien must be anxiously waiting for my arrival."

That was when a giant black rat leapt onto the throne and let out a feral growl. Of course, this freaked Lila out as she backed away from the throne. Then a large black bird landed on the back of the throne when it said, "Perhaps you should clean your ears out and listen carefully." The bird puffed its wings out and open to look even bigger than it was and stated, "You are in a hell of a lot of trouble for the harm that you caused, not just in France!"

Lila scoffed when she snapped in annoyance, "Cute trick, but I have a photo shoot to get to. Minions! Remove these pests from my throne and then clean it!"

"Yes, Master Lila," the mind controlled humans droned out as they unwillingly followed through on the order.

But the rat and bird were much too quick for them. Of course, the two scurried back towards Soundwave as they let out their anger noises towards Lila. Soundwave used his tendrils to pet his Familiars to sooth them.

That was when Jazz stated as an irritated gleam glinted off of his visor, "In tha best interest of all involved, yah should relinquish tha bracelet yah stole." He already knew what the response would be, but had to do this because of protocols. The Magi Guardian already signalled the Magical Enforcers to hold back until he gave the word.

Lila growled in anger as the orange gems on the bracelet glowed brightly. She then glared at the group of Mythicals when she snapped in rage, "There's no way I'm handing over MY bracelet! It's mine! I earned this power!" Lila concentrated the magic into her hands when she snapped, "I deserve this power!" She then shot the Magical energy at the man with the visor.

Jazz simply batted the attack away with a wave of his hand as if it were nothing as he neutralised it.

Officer Chase scowled when he stated in a stern monotone voice that was peppered with anger, "Young lady! I have solid evidence that you not only stole that bracelet from an establishment that was not open for business, but also attempted to commit arson to destroy that very establishment!" His wings fluttered in agitation as he bared his fangs.

Lila scoffed in a 'Do I have to spell it out for you?' tone, "Those idiotic owners were at fault for not giving me my bracelet when they had the chance. Their store deserved to be burnt to the ground just for that."

Officer Chase growled at those words before he turned to Jazz when he stated, trying to keep his anger under control, "Magi Guardian, sir, it is clear that this teen's already vile desires have been magnified by the curse afflicting the bracelet!"

Jazz nodded when he stated coldly, "Agreed, which, unfortunately, means we're gonna need ta take tha bracelet back by force." The Magi Guardian then stated in a controlled anger. "Nothin' lethal or fatal ta the target! And try not ta harm the controlled!"

With that, the Magical Enforcers charged into battle.

Smugly, Lila ordered as she pointed at the oncoming attack, "Minions! Teach these fools a lesson!" She then snapped her fingers, causing weapons of all kinds to appear in the mind controlled individuals hands, much to their internal shock and horror.

The implication that Lila wanted was painfully clear, much to the horror of the ones under the mind controlled humans as they got out in an unwilling yet mindlessly chipper tone, "Yes, Master Lila." Then, due to the mind control, they all charged into battle as they all internally screamed in fear. Especially the teens and children.

Lila assumed that she didn't need to oversee this annoying interruption and used her powers to teleport to her photoshoot. Then in a flash of orange, she was gone.

Jazz clicked is tongue in aggravation when he saw this. He turned his attention towards the… Battle… If could be called that… Jazz scowled at how… Badly the mind controlled humans were fighting…

True, this was a good thing for the Magical Enforcers, since they didn't want to harm any of them, but… They clearly didn't even know how to use the weapons they were given! That was actually pretty bad! Not knowing how to use a particular weapon is an accident waiting to happen! Not just for others, but also oneself!

Thankfully, the Magical Enforcers were able to disarm the mind controlled humans and break the horrible spell over them.

Of course, these people were relieved that they finally had control over themselves again. However, Cecilia was finally able to release the torrent of tears that was being kept locked behind the spell that forced her to act like a puppet against her will.

"Ma'am, everything is alright, you are free from the mind control," Officer Chase told the crying woman, trying to comfort her from her ordeal.

One of the other residents of Phantasma's building told the Enforcers that Cecilia was Lila's mother. And damn did that add another not-so-nice fact to the information they already knew…

Jazz let out a low growl as scales pulsed over his visible skin before they vanished within a second and stated, "We need ta return ta tha Eiffel Tower! NOW!"

}{

Things at the Eiffel Tower were going well. The humans that were hit by the pain wave have recovered enough to get around without any serious issues. As of now, the worst affliction was dizziness upon standing.

Sarg Heatwave surveyed the immediate area in worry as he tried to think about what had happened. He noticed his rescue allies, Head Engineer: Sarg Boulder and Air Commander: Commander Blades. Heatwave called out to them and they made their way over. "Not the meetup we planned," the fire Sargent stated with a soft sigh as he looked over at the other humans and the civilian Magicals helping out.

Boulder's thick lips pressed into a line when he said worriedly, "It… kind of strange seeing the Magicals without their Glamours on this side of Paris…" Sarg Boulder was taller than his friends, and a bit wider than them, had deep blue eyes, wide jaw paired with a wide nose, local brown hair that was cut to his hairline, was wearing a pair of well-used forest green electrician's uniform paired with brown work boots, gray electrician's gloves covered his large hands, and had a decorated tool belt with all he could need for his trade.

Commander Blades bit his thin lips before he said, "Given that Magical wave that covered the city, I can't say I'm that surprised, but… What caused that to happen?" The air commander had short wavy orange hair, bright green oval shaped eyes that were accented with orange eyeliner, wore a white T-shirt paired with an orange vest with pockets, wore a pair of work black jeans, and a pair of matching black boots. commander Blades couldn't help but add, "I don't see any of the Enforcers around."

Sarg Heatwave pressed his lips in an uneasy line when he told his friends, "The Magi Guardian called all of them to take down the person who sent that out that Magical Wave, I hope they get the cursed Magical Tool that was used…"

Sarg Boulder couldn't help but say, "All of them? How bad is this curse?"

Before Sarg Heatwave could give an answer, a sudden flash of orange light blinded everyone in the area.

}{

Marinette kept close to her parents as everyone started talking about figuring out how to reunite family members with one another. The Miracuclass couldn't help but throw in their worries about their family members that they didn't know their whereabouts… Hoping that they could reunite with them.

Then there was a flash of orange light that blinded them.

After the light faded, the Miraculous group looked for the source of that weird light… Only to see the one person that they didn't want to see…

Lila looked around with a scowl before she snapped in aggravation, "What the hell is going on?! This is supposed to be my international photo shoot! And I don't see any cameras to capture my beauty!" She growled when she snapped out, not noticing the startled civilians around her, "Must I do EVERYTHING myself to get anything done?"

The Magical civilians were quick to notice the malicious aura around this strange teenager with the ridiculous hair and started moving the Non-Magicals away from her.

Alya couldn't hide her anger when she hissed out softly to the Miraculous group, "That Bitch! What's she doing here?!"

Tom paled when he got out in an unnerved tone, "More importantly… Where's Jazz and the Enforcers?"

Oh, Right… The Magi Guardian was supposed to apprehend Lila… And if she's here and not the Magi Guardian and the Enforcers…

Al couldn't help but state quizzically, "Um… Not to knit-pick, but… Why is she talking about a photo shoot?"

Adrien raised a brow while somehow glaring at Lila when he hissed out, "She probably assumed that my sperm loner is still running the Gabriel Brand!"

Officer Prowl thought about the facts he knew and the ones before him before he came to the one logical conclusion that made sense. "Logically, Ms Rossi hasn't bothered to tune into the news to learn what has happened recently and the magnifying curse on the bracelet she's wearing has amped up her thoughts on what she desires and what she believes to be true…"

Yeah, that made surprisingly a lot of sense… Also… That was bad.

Lila used the magic in the bracelet to conjure up her desired photo shoot, ignoring the people around her and where they were… Or not caring about them or if she harmed them…

Of course, the civilians moved as fast as they could, despite some of their conditions.

And, of course, the Miraculous group couldn't stand by while Lila caused chaos so she could have a photo shoot that wasn't needed or wanted. However, none of them could transform in front of so many people… But holy hell were they tempted! Especially with Lila 'setting up' her photoshoot without care about the civilians around her!

Sarg Heatwave, Sarg Boulder, and Commander Blades were already in Rescue Mode and were evacuating everyone from the immediate area.

Adrien couldn't stay back anymore! Before anyone could protest, the Black Cat Holder rushed into the chaos as he shouted in anger, "LILA! STOP THIS SHIT! YOUR HURTING PEOPLE!"

Lila glanced over at whoever was shouting in a 'who is bothering me now?' manner. When she saw it was Adrien, the liar's mood immediately brightened, a little too much and too fast for everyone's likings. Lila thentittered off chipperly, "Oh, Adrien! Don't worry, I know you're eager to start the photo shoot with me but I have to make sure everything is completely perfect."

Adrien growled as Al came up behind him and wrapped his arms protectively around the younger. The Black Cat Holder couldn't stop himself from snapping, "LILA! THERE'S NO PHOTO SHOOT! NO ONE WANTS TO DO ONE! ALL YOU'RE DOING IS HURTING PEOPLE WITH ALL THIS SHIT!" Al kept a cautious eye on the liar.

Lila turned a medical area into a runway, causing the people nearby to scramble away as fast as they could to avoid getting hit. The liar chipperly stated as she continued what she was doing, "Don't worry, I'll make sure the employees do this photo shoot as perfect as me~." Lila thought about the runway before she made it bigger, brighter, longer, and more elaborate. This sudden shift in size caused the nearby trees to topple over, with people underneath one of the trees!

Sarg Heatwave didn't realise he was in the path of the falling tree until he noticed the shadow under him. He turned to see exactly what everyone else was, and there was no time for him to get out of the way!

The trees slammed to the ground with a chorus of sickening cracks.

"Heatwave!" Both Sarg Boulder and Commander Blades shouted in shock when they saw what happened and rushed over to hopefully help their friend.

A cough was heard from the main body of the tree, or rather, next to it… Sarg Heatwave moved himself into a sitting position as he rubbed his head and coughed again.

"Thank goodness!" said a monotone voice that was full of relief.

When Sarg Boulder and Commander Blades got to the fallen tree they saw Officer Chase, still without his glamour, sitting next to the disoriented fireman. Sarg Heatwave shook his head to settle his vision before he noticed his mate in front of him. "Chase?!" the fireman got out in shock, before he realised What happened and asked, "Please tell me that the Enforcers are on their way back?"

Officer Chase nodded when he stated, "Affirmative."

There was a sound of cackling electricity coming from the 'photo shoot', and the Rescue Squad turned to see what it was.

A ton of spot lights and cameras were placed everywhere for the photo shoot that wasn't supposed to happen, and caused even more people to scramble away.

Officer Chase growled when he told the others, "The other Enforcers will be here quicker, since I had to save Heatwave. They know that she's here for sure!" His glare never left the liar, as she continued to alter the area despite the chaos and her classmates telling her to stop.

Sarg Heatwave had to pull his mate away from the scene when he said, "Then let's do our job so they can do theirs!" He nodded his head to the civilians.

Sarg Bolder, Commander Blades, and Officer Chase glanced at each other before they nodded in agreement. They were rescuers first, and that was what they needed to do.

Now with the Miracuclass…

It was clear to the Miracuclass that Lila was beyond reasoning with! They now needed to get away so they could transform and put the out-of-control lair in her place! And if they were a little rough with her, no one was going to be called out on it.

As much as Marinette wanted to jump in with her classmates, her parents kept her in place. From what she could tell from her parents' and uncle's expressions, they knew something she didn't. Something really bad.

Tom then whispered to his family, "Let's get out of here before that brat sees us!" He was using such a serious tone that Marinette knew something was up that they didn't want her to know, yet at the same time it concerned her.

Officer Prowl motioned for his brother and sister-in-law to leave with his niece when he stated, "Do so quickly! I must stay out of duty. Keep Pixie-nette safe!"

Tom and Sabine nodded as the mother took her daughter's left hand and they started heading away from the area.

Damocles noticed but he didn't stop them nor did he want to. All he could do was tell the Miraculous Group, Drac-U-Allies, the Lahiffs, Nora, and his fellow teachers what was happening with the Dupain-Chengs, softly. Of course, the teachers understood why, but the rest of the group didn't. Although, given the circumstances, it wasn't too hard to figure out why.

As the groups slowly started moving away so they could find cover to transform or help evacuate the civilians, Lila finally noticed the Dupain-Chengs moving away from the area as quickly as she could. Of course, Lila's magnified hatred of the bluette took over as she decided that since she had the power, she could completely eradicate any and all nuisances.

And that's what Lila did, without warning as she fired a pure blast of lethal Magical energy that was guaranteed to destroy anything in its way.

When the Miraculous group saw this, it was already too late. All they could do was call out in horror, fear, and dismay, "Marinette!"

None of the three Dupain-Changs had any chance to react to anything other than the shouting before they were engulfed in the light of the Magical attack. Then there was a cloud of dust.

The Miraculous group was in a state of shock that was so bad that they were numbed. The only one who wasn't paralysed with shock was Officer Prowl, and he was running over to where his family was as he called out their names.

The Dupain-Chengs…

The Dupain-Chengs…

The Dupain-Chengs were…

Gone…

Just like that!

The Miracuclass, Kagami, and Marc couldn't help but remember all the times they've interacted with Marinette and her parents. All were smiles. All were of better times. The memories went backwards up until they first met Marinette. But for Adrien all his memories were his interactions with Marinette and Ladybug, with the last memory was of Ladybug comforting him after being told about his mother…

Tears flowed freely on their faces without anyone realising.

"Muh, muh, muh, yah just keep addin' crimes ta yah list," a familiar voice filled the air.

The wind blew to scatter the dust cloud to the side, revealing that the Dupain-Chengs were alive but terrified, and Jazz standing in front of them with that still serious expression on his face. Officer Prowl was with his mate and family within two seconds to make sure everyone was okay.

Jazz scowled as he told his mate and Clan in a stern, serious tone, "Keep back! Things might get a little messy." The four behind him didn't need to be told twice.

Of course, Lila was livid with rage at this when she snapped, "Who the hell do you think you are?! Getting in the way of my perfect photo shoot!"

Jazz clicked his tongue as he signalled everyone to get as far away from the area as possible and stated seriously, "Aside from gettin' more and more agitated by yah brakin' every major law in tha Magical and Non-Magical worlds, yah did try ta kill muh clan over some petty matters."

Lila let out a growl before she snapped, "I don't care about what excuses you give! This is MY photo shoot! And I want all unworthy peasants off! And that annoying goody-goody gone in every way!"

An annoyed gleam danced across Jazz's visor when he stated, "Ah ain't makin' excuses, Ah'ma tellin' yah facts." He had a goal in mind and was going to see it through.

Lila bared her teeth as she glared at the visor-wearing man. She then conjured up some orange orbs of cackling magic before she fired all of them at the Magi Guardian in the hopes of destroying the annoyance into dust.

Jazz didn't even move as the orbs drew closer. All he did was snap his fingers and the oncoming orbs fizzled into smoke before they could even get within a full-grown crocodile of him. Jazz glaced around to make sure that all of the civilians were being moved away from the battle, which they were. Even the Miracuclass was aiding in the evacuation, but were keeping an eye on the fight.

Lila grew angrier as her unstoppable magic being somehow countered without any effort. So she threw more Magical attacks at this person, in order to obliterate him.

But to Jazz, this was nothing more than a toddler throwing a tantrum. He could easily hear the many flaws in the magic the target was using, all easily exploited by a few counter spells. All Jazz needed to do was wait until the target runs out of energy, then she'll be easy to capture and the bracelet recovered.

And the Magi Guardian was correct.

Lila started losing steam not even a minute later.

The liar was breathing heavily, almost as if she ran a marathon and didn't rehydrate along the way. Her spells were coming slower and slower and her poor aim was getting worse. And the power behind the attacks was falling with every spell. It didn't take much longer before Lila was on her knees, on the ground, panting heavily, and was half-way to passing out.

Jazz walked over to the panting liar, cautious despite the hurried steps. He was quick to grip the liar's left arm and hauled her up so he could remove the bracelet.

Lila's vision was blurred because of the sudden lightheadedness and low energy, but she was able to make out a figure in the distance. She blinked a few times to focus on the figure. It was Marinette, ushering civilians to go in a certain direction. Without thinking and rage boiling over, Lila squeezed out one last lethal attack at the goody-goody.

That was when everything felt like it was going in slow motion.

Adrien's jaw dropped open as he shouted Marinette's name, as did the other members of the Miracuclass. Tom and Sabine were too far from their daughter as Officer Prowl rushed over. Jazz could only watch in disbelief from where he stood. Wang Fu felt his stomach drop at what he was seeing.

Marinette didn't know what happened until she felt an intense pain in her right leg and then for some reason, she lost her balance. Marinette couldn't understand the pain, the shouting, or the sudden loss of balance. All she knew was that it hurt! Worse than being thrown through a building, being punched by a super enhanced human (Akuma), being slammed into cars, and breaking some bones… Why? Why did it feel worse?

Marinette was vaguely aware that her Uncle Prowl, uncharacteristically frantic, was telling her something but she couldn't hear what he was saying. Why? What was going on? Why couldn't she hear him? She watched as her Uncle Prowl performed a healing spell on her. Why? Ah! The pain! But… From the colour and flurry of the spell… He was using a healing spell that was for open wounds, and she didn't have any…

That was when Marinette felt some kind of liquid running over her left leg, a lot of it. Then there was a strange smell in the air. It was familiar but Marinette couldn't remember what that smell was. 'Oh… Maman and Papa are here,' Marinette thought as she watched her parents loom over her with frantic worried expressions all over their faces. They were calling to her but like her uncle, she couldn't hear what they were saying. Why? What was going on? Why wasn't there any sound?

'Urg… Why do I feel so lightheaded?' Marinette thought dizzily as she started losing focus. Oh, now her parents were looking even more frantic. Why? Marinette was starting to get tired… And oddly cold… Why? What was going on? Why was she suddenly so tired and cold? It was so strange… Urg, Marinette was having trouble keeping focus on her own thoughts. Why?…

Max was staring at the scene in utter horror as he stared at the pink shoe covered in blood with the right foot of its owner still inside it as everyone around him screamed in horror. Another vision coming true! Max looked up at the Eiffel Tower that was backlit by the full moon. All Fluff could do was keep her Holder grounded.

Officer Prowl did what he could to close the open gape of a wound on his niece… Where her right leg used to be… All that was left of Marinette's right leg was her thigh… Both Tom and Sabine were trying to keep their daughter awake.

All of the Miracuclass were quick to gather around their friend as Officer Prowl used Tom's apron to use as makeshift bandages to both seal the wound and ensure that the bleeding stopped.

Lila smirked at her work… Until the air suddenly felt heavy and the temperature dropped 20 degrees.

Then suddenly Lila felt that her body was being ensnared in something plant-like and viney. She tried to shout but no sound came out. 'What the hell?' Lila thought in dismay as she tried to move or use her magic. Only to find that she wasn't wearing her bracelet! 'What the fucking hell?!' was all Lila could think.

Jazz was with his clan before anyone knew it. His little niece was barely conscious as his mate held her to check her responsiveness.

The air around the group dropped another ten degrees as the air suddenly felt heavy, causing the Dupain-Chengs and Officer Prowl to turn their attention towards the Magi Guardian in worry.

The Miraculous group turned just in time to see the blue glass on Jazz's visor turning red. For some reason, the Miraculous holders felt some kind of scary aura surrounding them…

Officer Prowl looked up worriedly at Jazz as he clutched his niece close to his chest and then said in an anxious tone, "Don't make me arrest you."

"Don't worry, it an't ganna happen," Jazz stated coldly. He then nodded his head to the side, towards an unobstructed pathay, when he stated, "Get her ta a healer! Ah'll just give tha thief a little equivalent retaliation." He turned and made his way back to Lila, taking the cold aura with him.

Lila was struggling to break free from her weird bindings as she spewed all kinds of colourful curses, not that anyone could hear any of them. She couldn't understand what happened and what went wrong, all she knew was that things weren't going as planned! 'What the hell?! I'm supposed to be the strongest in the world! Things should've been going MY way!' Lila thought as she looked around for her bracelet.

"Lookin' fur somethin'?" A voice broke Lila out of her thoughts. She looked up to see the man with the dreads and visor standing in front of her holding her bracelet in his right hand. Lila was able to see her classmates hustling away with the Dupain-Chengs with Marinette in the tallest's arms. Of course, this aggravated the liar because they should be trying to help her! Not that annoying goody-goody!

Jazz slid the orange gemmed bracelet into a pocket inside his shirt before he made his move. His hand shot out and gripped Lila's left arm in a bone-crushing grip just over her elbow.

Of course, Lila tried to get away but she couldn't. Of course, Lila tried to shout at the man that he was going to break her arm, but, of course, there was no sound coming out of her mouth.

Jazz was unreadable when he stated, "Yah took muh niece's leg, so a retaliation is in order." His grip tightened when he said coldly, "A limb for a limb."

Lila's eyes widened at the implications of those words, before the grip on her arm tightened even more.

Jazz used his free hand to erect a barrier to hide the scene from anyone who couldn't stomach this thing. He knew it would be best not to show THAT side of him to the people in his territory, but for the love of the 14 Entities! This little wrench caused so many deaths and attempted to kill his little niece! She deserves some pain before her trial! Jazz then told the liar coldly, "Yah can scream all yah like, Ah made sure no one is gunna hear anything from yah until yah day in court."

And with that, The Magi Guardian broke her arm and ripped it off. It will serve just fine as a retaliation.

Both Soundwave and Shockwave managed to arrive on scene just in time to witness that. And fear wasn't what they were feeling after seeing this.

Oh no, how could they not admire the Magi Guardian of France. The guy had the might, the power, the personality, and the composure to control himself. The Wave Brothers knew that the Magi Guardian could have easily killed the little thief for her actions upon Paris, but he only did his retaliation and then used a spell to stop the bleeding so she could see her day in court and later face the consequences of her actions.

Oh yes, Shockwave and Soundwave most certainly wanted to keep to Magi Guardian Jazz's good side.

After Lila was "arrested", given the medical attention needed for her arm, and locked in solitary confinement to await her trial, things started settling down.

The Shikigami dolls collected all the bodies of the dead, identified them, and brought them to a makeshift morgue for the families to claim if they are in the area. Any clans outside of Paris will have to be contacted and informed of the death. This was the easiest of the tasks on the list since those were certain…

The others… Those were harder to accomplish…

Tomoe held Kagami in a hug. The current Snake Holder understood why her mother was doing this and couldn't blame her. So Kagami hugged her back.

Marlena and Otis were so relieved to see their daughters. Etta and Ella were quick to embrace their parents while Alya and Nora were more relieved that they were okay. Soon the Césaire family were having a much needed group hug.

Ivan was able to find his grandpapi alive and well. He might've been a little tired from all the sudden running, but he was more than willing to give his grandson a hug. Ivan's parents were on the scene soon after and were relieved to see them alive and well. Mylene and Fred came over to check on them.

Rose's parents found her with Juleka and Arnarka. They stayed together at Arnarka called Luka to inform him of what happened. Hopefully, he'll be able to return home without too much of an issue.

The Drac-U-Allies and the Lahiffes were… Reacquainting with one another and getting to know each other. Adrien and Nino kept close and in everyone's line of sight. It wasn't weird that there were vampires and werewolves getting along, not with their history. Adrien has never felt safer. His friend and his friend's family were here and so was Al and his siblings, how could he not feel safe.

André hugged his daughter close as he watched the others scurrying by. Chloe hugged him back, just wanting to keep close to her dad.

A Magical Enforcer told Roger Raincomprex that he needed to be with his daughter adding that now was all about reuniting clans and kin. True, Roger wanted to fulfil his duty as a police officer, but he knew that the Enforcer was right. So he went to Sabrina, who was quietly sitting nearby. Roger sat next to her and gently pulled her into a hug. Sabrina leaned into the embrace, simply glad that he was here to do so.

Both Mr Lês looked worriedly at Max as Kim had a look of dismay. In front of both the techie and the AI were a pair of Shikigami Dolls with a photo of Claudie Kanté in hand. Of course, Max and Markov asked questions regarding this information, and the Shikigami Dolls answered them. However, that doesn't change the facts… Kim was quick to embrace the now sobbing techie. Both Mr Lês wrapped their arms/wings around the two teens and AI to offer comfort.

The Dupain-Chengs kept to their daughter's bedside after the official operation to seal the open wound. Marinette was sleeping, due to the medication. She was still missing her right leg, the stump was wrapped in bandages, to keep the wound clean and to keep the stitches in place. Both Tom and Sabine couldn't help but worry how this was going to affect Marinette once she wakes up…

"Miraculous Cure!"

A ladybug coloured tablet was thrown into the air and burst into small sparkling ladybugs. However, these little bugs didn't go out very far… All vanished before they got a metre away from their origin.

Jazz clicked his tongue in aggravation when he commented, "Damn, Ah was hoping that we would at least be able ta remove tha ones who were killed by tha immediate onslaught of pain on tha death toll… " His visor was back to blue and was standing on the roof of one of the taller buildings in Paris.

"Tikki, spots off," and in a flash of light, Officer Prowl was standing next to his mate.

Tikki flew out of the earrings the homicide officer was currently wearing in place of his niece. She sat on his shoulder as Prowl offered her a cookie. Tikki took the sweet when she said, "Same, or at least fix what that bitch destroyed…" She then nibbled on the cookie.

Officer Prowl then stated, "If I may offer an educated theory."

Jazz nodded when he replied, knowing exactly what his mate was thinking, "Tha little bitch's already vile thoughts and emotions magnified by tha curse caused some sort of issue in tha ambient magic in Paris, right?"

Officer Prowl nodded when he stated, "And possibly bled into the magic she used." Jazz had to agree.

Tikki's antenna dropped at this when she said, "Emotional-based magic is always tricky to undo due to their volatile nature… Even for my Miraculous…" She was now worried about Marinette and she knew these two were as well.

Jazz let out a sigh before he told his mate, "Call D… And anyone else qualified… We're gonna have'ta notify tha other Magi Guardians and tha Non-Magicals in-charge of tha territories affected by this… Event."

This was not going to be an easy task. Especially since there was no way to prevent an international media storm regarding what happened… Let's just hope that the Leaders of the Non-Magical World will be as diplomatic as they are supposed to be.
