Character Sheet - Sofia (Guerrero) Manzanares Herrero
Species:
Human / Spanish.
Sex:
Female.
Age:
40
Height:
1.5 m / 4' 11"
Hair:
Flowing black hair.
Very unkempt, wild.
Once well trimmed and cared for.
Eyes:
Dark blue.
Skin:
Rather pale and slightly sickly looking.
At one point she was usually tanned or otherwise had a healthy peach color.
Particularities:
Loves purple, even if she usually doesn't wear anything with that color or has it close.
Was originally an incredible chipper and go getter person, extremely depressive and with a self harming personality now.
Her children are the main drive behind most of her thoughts and actions. Seriously hurting them would make her commit the worst atrocities known to mankind, and she'd do it willingly.
Loves coffee and it seems to be one of the few things that perks her up.
Is a chain smoker and finds it funny when people tell her to stop. The thought of perhaps having her third child is making her reconsider if it ever happens.
Drinks a lot too, mostly beer. She is more than happy to go for something 'more refined', though. Was a very careful and particular drinker in the past.
Loves her husband to death, though they can fight a lot. She'd die for him, same as he'd do for her however.
Interests:
Telenovelas. She loves them for some reason she cannot explain.
Loves mystery novels, horror and so on. She is a horrible reader because she does enjoy books, yes, but she almost eats them in a single sitting, no matter how long they are. Does dislike purely fantasy and sci-fi stuff however, preferring realistic settings.
Is obsessed with puzzle games. She says they relax her, but she grows frustrated very quickly and tries to finish them up out of pigheaded determination.
Likes to try and take care of plants. Sucks major ass at it. She can kill a cactus without trying.
Do not argue with her, she has a natural attraction to conflict. She may get pissed, but she loves being a contrarian in any debate most of the time. Consider it a very dangerous hobby.
Magic Affinity (If Applicable):
N/A
Attire:
To be honest? Whatever is fine.
Liked simple, comfy shirts and pants when she was in shape. Tends to use a lot of baggy clothes now.
Loathes the cold, even when it is very hot outside. She will always have a few layers on her if she cares enough to not get sick or hurt. So expect a lot of fluffy stuff during winter.
Doesn't fancy makeup or jewelry much, though she likes to look at them, or even collect the things. [Sidenote: May have a hidden kleptomaniac inside her since sometimes she appears to have little cheap knick knacks she fancied and everyone knows she never bought.]
Physical:
A short, well toned and very active woman once, with a beautiful face, silky (if tough) skin thanks to keeping up with a regular workout and general work, lively eyes and a radiant smile. Nowadays she is rather, if not heavily, overweight, has a lot of wrinkles that appeared far too early for her once shapely body and everything from her teeth to her nails has suffered damage over time. There are many hidden scars she keeps out of her children's eyes, but many in the family have seen she tends to hurt herself, usually around the back area and hands. The latter set of wounds are usually hidden easily with makeup, but if noticed she explains them as 'kitchen accidents'.
Personality:
At one point happy, generous and extremely motherly mixed in with dedication, she is now dark, dreary, irritable and still tries to be a good mother.
At one point Sofia could've been considered the 'cool kid of the block'. Active, always up for a challenge or some fun, Sofia was a go getter young woman that did a lot of stupid shit for the fun of it while still trying to be there for her parents, sister and brother while attempting NOT to get arrested. Responsable was not exactly in any way what you'd use to define her. A particular bit of her was how she didn't care about her own well being, monetary status and so on, generally thinking about others first. She matured quickly after meeting her husband and suffered her first 'personality change' as it were.
As a mother Sofia quickly (although not without a fuss) grew more motherly, pensive and thoughtful. Still a social and very careful drinker, she became less aggressive and stopped being a daredevil. From a 'devil may care' attitude she became a worrywart and a helicopter parent that tried to overprotect and generally guide everything and everyone around her if they were close enough. One thing that did not change was her generally overly generous personality, although she began to take a lot more care of herself and worry about being healthy despite having developed a few vices thanks to the constant worry.
Presently she is a mess, personality wise. She is depressed at almost all times, gets angry (and usually self destructive) with ease, and the only thing that seems to give her a semblance of normality is being with her family. Sofia detests being alone, but has done her best to seek times away from everyone to inflict self harm, binge drink or generally hurt herself in some way. Luckily she hasn't grown vitriolic and perpetually angry, but her character has become dreary, very negative and usually far too much to bear for most people.
The discovery of how her miscarriage was not her fault, but someone messing with her, thus harming her child, seems to have incensed the woman. It is likely that some of her old fire may return, but that is to be seen, although she seems far more straightforward as of late and is thinking of straightening up her act the moment she has the chance of 'bringing her little one back'.
What song or music would fit her:
The Sadness of the Sea fits well. A very sad song that has hope for the future, but it could easily just make you keep on being sad if you don't grasp that lingering thread of light that could lift you and ensure you don't drown. Perhaps, in the future, this could change.
Visual Aid (if any):
None yet!
