The bells tolled and echoed throughout the whole church as Cedric heaved out a yawn, trying everything in his system to stay awake.

Every Sunday, Enchancia would hold church services like this in a church in Dunwiddie which everyone attends. It just so happened that Cedric didn't have much sleep that night before.

And it wasn't like Cedric hated attending. In fact – he looks forward to it every Sunday.

And it's all because..

"Damnn.." and just like that, the sorcerer was completely re energized upon spotting a certain beautiful young woman up ahead

He was never unmotivated to attend church every Sunday. But not to worship…

But to admire the beautiful women in it.

When she caught Cedric's gaze from afar, she smiled in response

Quickly, the man thought up of things how to approach her. He then scanned the surroundings on whatever he can do. But then a bright idea came to him

Noticing the long bench he was in is completely empty, he then signaled the lady to come over. When she realizes this, she made her way to the long bench where he was at and sat on the other side.

She turned to him and smiled "Thank you~"

"Perfect" Cedric rubbed his hands in joy. Now all he has to do is spit some game and he'll impress her

Cedric didn't waste no time and immediately scooted closer to her direction

When suddenly…

"Hi, Mister Ceedric!"

Suddenly, a girl appeared out of nowhere and sat in between them. It was no other than his little auburn haired nemesis yet again

The girl greeted him a smile, but the man wasn't too happy to see her. She got in the way, and interrupted his flawless plan

"Oh my… Princess Sofia!" when the woman next to Sofia noticed her, she was delighted "It's an honor to see you today, Princess"

"Likewise" the princess did a half curtsy while sitting down

Cedric however wasn't amused and simply looked away and crossed his arms. "Nothing good happens when that squirt is around…" he thought to himself in a resentful manner with a grumpy scowl on his face

Upon noticing his sudden sulking, Sofia smirked.

"This is my Royal Sorcerer, Cedric. He's very good at magic!"

Normally, he hated that voice more than anything… but hearing that brought the sorcerer back to life as he turned his attention back to the conversation. The woman was now looking at him and smiled

"Oh that's wonderful" she commented in an impressed manner "That is truly remarkable, Cedric"

The man grinned in a proud manner

He turned to Sofia and gave her a nod. He started pondering that perhaps he has treated her too harshly

"He is also very tall and handsome, isn't he?" Sofia added once more, completely selling the man to the lady

The woman stared at him closely and giggled "But of course, he is.."

It was Cedric's finest moment, he felt like a king or an emperor. He oughta give some appreciation to the little girl later. This is a nice assist coming from her after all

"Too bad he is kinda childish at times though.."

His eyes widened upon hearing that

"And he hates coffee because it's bitter"

"Ha-ha, what a funny girl, aint she?" Cedric immediately cut in and held Sofia's shoulder "The princess can be a bit quirky at times"

He then turned to Sofia "Say Princess… how about we change seats? The view from here is much better" he raised his eyebrow to her

Suddenly, another bell rang in the church which took everyone's attention. But Cedric was adamant on making his point across

"Look, I'll do whatever you want me to do later.. just let me have this" he discreetly whispered to the little girl next to him

Sofia's eyes narrows hearing this and a smirk fell on her lips "Aaaanything…?"

"Yeah yeah.. just let me take your seat"

And just like that, Sofia stood up and Cedric took her spot next to the woman and Sofia sat next to him behind

"Anywayss…" he cocked a confident smile as he faced the beauty next to him "I didn't catch your name?

"Honey, there you are!"

All of a sudden, a certain guy approached them and called out for her.

"Oooh finally, I was wondering where you were" the woman stood up and gave the man a kiss on the lips

Sofia was surprised seeing this. Cedric, however, was completely flabbergasted that his jaw dropped with what he has just witnessed

"Oh… this is my husband, Darnell" the woman uttered, holding the man beside him. He gave them a respectful nod in greeting

"I found a good seat by the front. Let's go there." Mike said to his wife

"I guess.." she hesitated, turning to the pair still seated "Well.. it was nice seeing you today, Princess Sofia" she smiled at her

"And you too, Cedric." she smiled at him "Have a nice day!"

She finally walked away with her husband

Still not being able to absorb what just happened, Cedric just sat there, frozen.

When it finally dawned on him, he sighed

"Aw man… she had a man all along?" he whined in a defeated tone

"Too bad, Mister Ceedric" Sofia rested his hand on his arm "Mrs. Marlene is very nice so I don't blame you for taking the wrong idea"

Hearing this bothered Cedric. There was something in those words that doesn't sit right with him

"W-wait…" he turned to her "You know her!?"

"She owns a flower shop just a few blocks from our house back in the day in Dunwiddie" Sofia explained "She runs it with her husband"

Cedric couldn't believe what he's hearing "And you knew she had a husband?"

Sofia nodded

"Then why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't know…" suddenly, that same smirk fell on her face as her eyes narrowed in playfulness "You didn't ask me again"

"Aw, here we go again with that look.." Cedric blurted out, clearly annoyed with what she's doing. That's that same look she always gives him whenever she's toying with him

It didn't take long before the situation dawned on him once more and he just gave up entirely

"I didn't have a chance in the first place" he sighed in a defeated tone as he leaned his back on the backrest of the bench

A smile formed on her lips as he rested her hand on his arm "Don't worry, Mister Ceedric. You'll always have me~" She added in a sweet tone

"Yeah. Great." He uttered in a completely apathetic way. He didn't care about anything anymore

He didn't care that he is sitting with his nemesis or that she's way awfully close to him at that moment. He just sulked the defeat of fumbling another baddie

And there goes another plus one on Cedric's record of failed attempts on landing a lady.

"Nah whatever. There's still plenty of fishes in the sea. One day, I'll bag a hot babe and you'd be the first person I'll introduce her to, Sofia"

"Not on my watch."
