New Hexside
Meanwhile, the scene started as a flashback during the events of the Day of Unity. At the gym of Hexside, the Principal named Principal Bump is unrolling some mattresses on the floor. Two kids are running around the mattresses, laughing and one of them throws themselves onto a mattress. The spider teacher kneels beside them. Principal Bump smiles looking at the some students resting on the mattresses and some sitting on the seats. He turns around and sees the other teachers standing nearby him, with worried expressions on their faces. The photo class teacher approaches one of the students named Bo, offering a tray filled with hot drinks. Bo takes a cup and she smiles at the photo class teacher.
The scene cuts to Amelia, Cat and another student named Boscha putting on their grudgby gear. Soon, Skara begins to narrate. "Since the Golden Guard... I- I mean Hunter, told us about the Emperor's plan for the Day of Unity, Principal Bump allowed students and teachers to camp out at Hexside." narrated by Skara. The scene cuts to Mattholomule holding up a makeshift mace. "And We thought we could handle whatever the Emperor threw at us." narrated by Mattholomule. The scene cuts to a student named Jerbo pouring some food on a bowl and Barcus is holding up a spoon. "But when the Draining Spell hit…" narrated by Mattholomule. The gym gets covered by a red glow, Jerbo and Barcus turn their heads to look outside.
As they look through the window, they spit a yellow beam, which are magical powers being drained from the people who attended the Day of Unity, it shoots up from the location and onto the moon, the entire sky becomes blood red. The scene cuts to the students looking at the scene outside, completely shocked. Just then, they look at their teachers and Principal Bum falls to the floor as their magical powers are being drained. Bo and a student named Viney rushed over to help Bump. Bump unrolls his sleeve, showing some lines forming on his arm, coming from the Abomination sigil on his wrist. Bo covers her mouth with shock. "...we realized that things wouldn't be so simple." narrated by Mattholomule. Skara looks at Principal Bump in shock and she turns back to the devastating scene outside. After that, the moon suddenly shifts aside, stopping the Draining Spell.
The other students help the teachers and Principal Bum up. "After the adults recovered...that's when The Collector's spies showed up." narrated by Mattholomule. That one-eyed goat student and illusion track student looked through the window, seeing one of The Collector's spies fly by and they gasped in horror. The scene cuts to outside of Hexside, with The Collector's spies surrounding the entire building. Boscha, Cat and Amelia kick open the front door and run out of the school, getting ready to attack with flaming grudgby balls in their hands. "The grudgby team snuck out, and tried to hold them back, but…" narrated by Skara. Boscha, Cat and Amelia launch the flaming balls at The Collector's spies, only for them to dodge.One of The Collector's spies teleported behind Boscha and was about to launch a crescent moon at her. Amelia runs towards Boscha and pushes her aside. Cat begins to protect Boscha and Amelia by running over and standing between them and The Collector's spy. Eventually, the crescent moon hits Cat in the forehead. Amelia stood up. Before she could react, another crescent moon hits Amelia, making her gasp. Both Amelia and Cat turned into puppets and they fell to the ground in front of Boscha. Boscha gasped in terror. Puppet Amelia and Cat disappear in a puff. Boscha looks up and sees that one of the spies is approaching her. As the spy prepares to launch another crescent moon towards Boscha, some Abomination slime hits it from behind.
Boscha sees Principal Bump along with the other teachers. A spike-headed teacher and the construction teacher rushes towards Boscha, beginning to help her up. "But sadly, it didn't work." narrated by Mattholomule. A crescent moon hits Oracle teacher, then the detention teacher. The Collector's spy turns around towards Principal Bump, launching another crescent moon before he can finish drawing a spell. The Collector's spy has turned Principal Bump and the teachers into puppets. "Bump and the other adults were turned into toys and taken away!" narrated by Mattholomule. The puppets disappear in puffs of smoke, and the spies fly off. "And we've been hiding ever since." narrated by Mattholomule.The scene cuts to the present day, as Mattholomule, Skara and Barcus are leading the group. "Oh man, that's awful." said Allyson. "It was. And somewhere along the way, I went from Mattholomule…to Mantholomule." said Mattholomule as pucker his lips and scratches his chin, only to smudge the ink of his drawn-on facial hair. The teens have some repulsed look on their faces, Allyson is cringed, Camila is snickering and Laurie is just dead inside. "Don't do that again," said Laurie. "Shhh!" shushed Skara, stopping the group from walking. Skara looks up to the sky, causing everyone to look as well. They spot one of The Collector's spies flying by, not noticing them from below. Mattholomule instructs the others to keep moving.
The scene fades to the group still walking, until they arrive at their destination, Hexside. Skara and Mattholomule approach the front door as they drag aside a crate and a plank of wood from blocking the entrance. "Where are we?" asked Laurie. "We did a little redecorating these past few months. So let me welcome you to…" said Mattholomule. Skara And Mattholomule opens the doors. "New Hexside!" said Skara. The group gasps in surprise. The interior of the school is now messy and chaotic. A student swings past on a rope, knocking two students to the ground. A witch student named Mary uses an Abomination hand to reach somewhere high, but a little kindergartner hisses at her, showing her away.
Then two students in some casts walk past the kindergartner. Mattholomule, Skara and Barcus lead the group inside the school. "This does not smell great," said Gus. "I agree," said Laurie. Suddenly, Camila hears a glass shatter and notices something approaching. "Heads up!" shouted Mary. A fireball flies past Amity, almost hitting her. The fireball lands somewhere behind, causing an explosion. Amity looks back with a nervous expression. The scene cuts the group being led to the school cafeteria, which is now a market. They see some students selling food and weapons in their stalls. One of the students stole some food and ran away, making the other student chase after him. And on a table, a student is eating something which doesn't appear to have a good taste and he blows out chunks.
"Oh my. This seems…interesting." said Laurie. The group starts walking around the cafeteria. Amity and Laurie see a Beast-keeping student selling T-shirts. "T-shirts! Get your T-shirts!" shouted the Beast-keeping student. Amity and Laurie spot an oracle student selling candy. "Bootleg candy! Now that your mama's a puppet, it's time to eat that candy!" shouted the oracle student. Amity and Laurie walk past the candy stall. Then a small bard student jumps up to the stall and bites on the oracle student's hand. The oracle student, attempting to shake the bard student off their hand.
The scene cuts to the kindergarten section, as a kindergartner named Braxas is with some kindergartners forming a circle, along with Barcus standing. Braxas is holding a star-shaped cutout over its face, looking at a plushie. The group walks by the kindergarten, but Camila stops and looks. "I'll save you, father!" shouted Braxas. Braxas takes out the cutout, kisses it with his mouth and flings it towards the plushie. The cutout slices through the plushie's head and lodges itself on a wall. The other kindergartners run towards the plushie and start destroying it. "Let the blood of your enemies give you strength!" shouted Braxas. Camila makes a slightly horrified face and walks away from outside of the kindergarten.
The scene cuts to Mattholomule, Skara and Barcus standing in front of a statue. The group walks behind them and sees the statue towering over them. Mattholomule places his right hand onto his chest. "This, is a statue of Principal Bump, who risked his life for ours," said Mattholomule. He, Skara and Barcus salute the statue with sad expressions on their faces. Barcus barks in sadness. "It's so nice to see teachers getting the respect they deserve…" said Camila. The group looks at the statue, which replicates Principal Bump all swagged out skateboarding. And there are words engraved on a pillar that says "IN MEMORY OF THE COOLEST PRINCIPAL EVER" "PRINCIPAL BUMP AKA "PRINCY B". "I think," said Camila.
The students began to notice Amity and the others as they whispered among themselves. The group looks up and notices the students. "Do you see who's back?" asked Student 1. "Look who it is," said Student 2. "Oh my Gosh, it's Amity." said Student 3. Gus and Willow smiles and they start waving at the students. "Hey, where've you guys been? Who's tall Luz?" asked Student 4, pointing at Camila. Viney appears, running behind Willow. "Willow!" shouted Viney. Willow turns around and sees Viney. "Hi, Viney!" greeted Willow. Viney grabs Willow by the hands. "I'm so glad you're back! Your orchids have become sentient and have started a war with a roving gang of kindergartners. Please help!" pleaded Viney.
A witch with an eyeball for her face named Eileen walks to Gus, holding a paperclip. She mumbles something to Gus, asking him if he wants the paperclip. Gus looks at the paperclip. "No! Human paper clips are NOT a good meat substitute! Have people been eating those??" said Gus. After he said that, Eileen glances back and runs away. Amity is slightly looking down until a voice calls her nickname. "Mittens?!" called out someone. Amity turns around, spotting someone running to her and it's her older twin sister named Emira. "Emira!" cheered Amity. Emira pulls Amity and hugs her, spinning around, smiling. "Heya, sis!" shouted someone.
Amity and Emira turn around and see their twin brother named Edric in a full body cast, approaching them. "Amity!" shouted Edric with Bo trying to hold him back but the bandage tears off. "Oh. My. Titan." exclaimed Amity with shock. Edric tries to hug Amity, but falls forward. Amity quickly stops Edric from falling. "Ed, you're gonna hurt yourself!" said Emira. "I don't care, I wanna hug my sister!" said Edric. Edric starts screaming, managing to break the cast on his arms and hugs Amity. "Siblings!" said Edric. "What happened?" asked Amity. "Well, After you and dad left the factory, I BRAVELY set off to find you. Then I was tragically cornered by one of the Collector's spies!" replied Edric.
"And when he was running away, he fell into an empty well." said Emira. "Not empty! There were rocks down at the bottom." said Edric, expressing a little smile. Amity starts tearing up along with a smile on her face. "Come here you weirdos!" said Amity. Then Amity, Edric and Emira hug each other, smiling. Emira gazes upon the group that Amity is with and she notices something. "Hang on, where's Luz?" asked Emira. Amity looks at Emira, her face saddens again and looks away. Willow and Laurie walk towards Emira and Edric. "Well, she did come back here. But unfortunately.." said Willow trying to finish, but Laurie steps in. "She's not herself anymore," said Laurie.
Emira and Edric look at Laurie, confused about what she said. "What do you mean?" asked Edric. Mattholomule walks towards Laurie. "And why is that?" asked Mattholomule. Laurie turns her head to Amity. Amity looks at Laurie and nods a little. "For you see, Luz is no longer a quirky teenager who had a fascination with fantasy and Azura, at least that's what Amity told me. She became…worse than this Belos guy and The Collector." said Laurie. Emira and Edric look at each other, confused. "Really?" inquired Mattholomule. Laurie looks at Mattholomule. "Exactly." said Laurie. Emira notices Amity looking down in sadness and gets a bit worried.
"Right now, Luz is roaming out there, in search of her next victim," said Laurie. "That sounds like a thing Luz would never do in a million years," said Edric. Laurie turns her head towards Edric. "Well guess what? She's already doing it." said Laurie. Emira and Edric get a bit frightened. A student rides on an Abomination passing through the group. "Hey, no offense, but this seems a bit…" said Willow, trying to finish. "Disgusting." said Laurie. "Yeah, but…we follow…the rules." sighed Mattholomule. Amity looks at Mattholomule. "From who?" asked Amity. Just then, the PA system of the school starts as Boscha speaks through it. "Attention! Would Captain Tholomule escort his guests to the Council Chamber? And DO IT NOW!" command Boscha.
Willow gets puzzled, she recognizes that voice anywhere. "Captain who?" inquired Willow. Gus is extremely shocked, he turns his head slowly towards Mattholomule and walks to him. "wait.." said Gus. Mattholomule turns around and sees Gus. Gus grabs him by the arms. "Has Tholomule been your last name this whole time?!" asked Gus. Mattholomule looks at Gus and he shrugs as a response. "Ok. We're gonna call you Matt for now." said Laurie. Mattholomule changes his drift towards Laurie. "Yeah, sure. Whatever makes you comfortable." said Matt.
Belos' attempt to host
Meanwhile, in the middle of the forest. Belos is struggling to climb forward to The Collector's castle. But he stopped in front of a stone wall and started drawing a glyph combination on it. Belos slammed his fist on the glyph combo, activating it and unlocking the door. The scene cuts to the interior, which shows piles of skeletons, skulls and broken Golden Guard masks. Belos crawls into the mysterious cave, getting tired and losing his breath. Suddenly, he spotted Caleb Wittebane along with the past Golden Guards. "Oh, shut up." growled Belos.
He crawls into a room where he used to make Grimwalkers. "There has to be one left," said Belos. He looked around the room, searching for something to host. Due to his expectations, Belos spotted a rotten hand sticking out of the dirt. Belos screeches like a ravenous creature in search of blood, and he pounces towards the hand. He began swallowing the hand up, in order to possess the corpse and he disappeared beneath the dirt. And after that, the hand starts to twitch.
The Archives House
Meanwhile, The Collector and King are soaring to the sky on board The star-shaped platform. The Collector flips the platform 360 and he laughs with excitement. King almost fell when they did a flip. The Collector spots the Archive House nearby. "We're almost there, King!" said The Collector. "Yep, I can see that buddy." said King with a thumb up. The scene cuts to the interior of the Archives, as The Collector and King flies in and approaches the flight of stairs. "Boy, oh boy. We were gone for quite a while." said King. The Collector and King jump out of the platform as it disappears from thin air. They proceed to walk towards the stairs. "I should probably uh, go check on the ol' Owl Beast. Maybe…get her something to eat?" convinced King.
The Collector jumps up and floats in mid-air, turning upside down in front of King. "What do mortals eat again? Rocks? Fire? Gravity?" inquired The Collector. King looks at The Collector with an incredulous look. "N-No. They don't eat elements." replied King. "Oh." exclaimed The Collector. When both The Collector and King arrived at the castle, Amity's controlling mother appeared walking downstairs. "Welcome home, Collector." greeted Odalia. King walked towards Odalia and The Collector floated to her. "Did you have a pleasant adventure?" asked Odalia. "It was fun, actually," said King. Odalia looks at King. "I wasn't talking to you," said Odalia. King gains an irritated look.
"Mamadalia, we need to feed the Owl Beast." said The Collector, landing on the staircase. "Hmm, how about…Pizza bagels!" they said. Odalia lets out a chuckle and decides to change her drift to The Collector. "I told you before, Collector. I could be much more useful than being your….Mamadalia. Maybe we can talk about…remaking the Boiling Isles into something bigger and better." requested Odalia. The Collector stares at Odalia, squinting unhappily. "Pi-zza…BAGELS!" shouted The Collector. Odalia let out a groan and bows to The Collector. The Collector and King start walking upstairs as Odalia turns around and walks away, annoyed. The Collector stops walking and turns his head back towards Odalia.
"Oh, one more thing." said The Collector. Odalia tenses up and looks at The Collector with a nervous expression. The Collector snaps their fingers, summoning the puppets above Odalia. The puppets fall down to the floor, catching Odalia by surprise. Odalia sits up, looking disheveled. "Drag those back into the collection room, will ya? Kay, thanks, bye-eeee!" said The Collector. Once The Collector finished his sentence, he floated up with King with stars and sparkles surrounding them. Meanwhile inside The Collector's room, which leads to a small planet floating in a galactic nebula. The planet has two beds atop and also floating. King's stuffed animal named Francois is on one of the beds, in between a lamp on a nightstand.
The Collector drags King into his room, flying towards the beds. "We've been playing pretend for-ever, King." said The Collector as they landed on the bed. "It is fun, but…what if we switch it up?" asked The Collector. King looks at The Collector, with a nervous look. "We can play "Capture the Flag"! Us versus... everyone on the Isles! We can put the losers on the moon!" said The Collector, cheerfully. "Wow! That is... an idea. But... don't you think people would have a tough time breathing?" requested King. "So they can hold their breaths," said The Collector.
The Collector is floating up in bed and they magically fold back his blanket. Then he floats back down in bed and covers himself up with the blanket. King still has a nervous look on his face, not until The Collector calls him. "Hey, King!" called out The Collector. They clap their hands, only to summon an impossibly tall book, with a large stack of stone slabs. The book falls in front of King, making him look up to the front cover. "Can you read me a story?" asked The Collector. King chuckles nervously. "Easy," said King. King pushes the stack, making it fall backwards and wraps around the planet structure. Eventually, it stopped before it could hit King. King walks to the book, kneels down and starts reading to The Collector.
"Okay... "Collectors live long, we watch things pass. To preserve, to observe, we must amass... What flies, what swims, be it predator or prey, seal them up so that they never fade." Uh…" reads King. King looks underneath the paragraph of the story, seeing the next section that reads: "But should they meddle in our affairs, we'll clean the planet and scorch the air.". But it was scratched out by The Collector and rewrote it underneath. The Collector seemed panicked. "No-no! Don't read the next part! Skip to where I fixed it." said The Collector. King looks at the paragraph that The Collector wrote, it reads: "But playing is more fun, make friends instead, and the others stink! Boo!". "Uhhh, okay." replied King. So, King continues reading. ""But playing is more fun, so I'm gonna make friends instead, the others stink, boo!"." read King.
King looks back to The Collector, seeing that his eyes are shut along with a peaceful expression on their face. King climbs on one of the stone slabs to switch the brightness of the lamp to a soft and yet dark light. The Collector opens their eyes and looks at King. "King? Can I sleep with Francois?" asked The Collector, showing a little smile on his face. Kung takes a quick gander at Francois and looks back at The Collector. "Come on, you know I've…only let one other person hold him," said King. "Right, that human…" said The Collector, sadly and sulks. "Can you at least leave him to watch over me..? I don't like being alone…" said The Collector as they look away in sadness.
Pitying The Collector, King sighs and places Francois on the table, next to him. The Collector smiles and shut their eyes, finally falling asleep. King jumps in the air, floating up towards the exit. After taking a good glance at The Collector one more time, King phases through the exit leaving them in bed on a small planet in the middle of an endless void of stars and space.
