Nico's gaze swept across the grandeur of the Olympus throne room, a sense of awe and admiration settling within him. The most apparent alteration in the throne room's dynamics was the addition of two thrones, expanding the Olympians to fourteen from its previous count of twelve. Nico's lips curled into a satisfied smile as his eyes connected with his father, Hades, and his aunt Hestia. Their warm smiles in return conveyed their pride in him. As he absorbed the splendor around him, the realization dawned on him. He was one of the few demigods to ever see it. And one of the rare to see it for a second time. There was also something telling him that he would be coming here many more times.

Notably, the gods' physical forms had undergone a subtle transformation. Nico was especially, happy that he did not need to be careful about how to refer to them. The stern, militaristic aura that once defined them seemed softened, replaced by a more approachable demeanor. His father, Hades, donned the familiar black togas, each fold bearing the weight of tethered souls. Athena, in particular, exhibited a remarkable change. Clad in her distinctive armor, spear, and shield at the ready, she exuded a newfound comfort in her divine form. The shift was palpable, she was in her Goddess of War form. A wave of relief washed over Nico as he observed Hera, whose gaze softened upon meeting him. The reciprocal warmth in her eyes affirmed that the favor Juno once extended now echoed through her Greek manifestation. Nico concealed a sigh of relief, grateful that he would not need any diplomatic tiptoeing.

"Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, we extend a warm welcome to you once again in the grand halls of Olympus," Hera declared with genuine warmth, as Nico, favored by her Roman aspect, received the honor of being addressed first by the gods. Zeus, in a rare moment of agreement, permitted Hera to lead the conversation with the demigod.

"I am truly grateful for your reception," Nico expressed his gratitude, executing a respectful bow in adherence to the established protocol. A sense of relief washed over him when he noticed the approving gazes of the gods. Nico couldn't help but wonder about the state of demigod manners if his simple display of courtesy garnered such positive attention.

Perhaps a class on etiquette and protocol at Elysium Prep would be in order, Nico mused with a furrowed brow. The demigods might benefit from a bit more refinement.

"What brings you to Olympus, nephew?" Poseidon inquired with evident delight, a warmth that seemed to surpass the familial connection. Nico, momentarily taken aback, contemplated why Poseidon held him in such high esteem. It wasn't merely due to their familial ties; there was a personal touch. It then dawned on Nico – it was gratitude for saving Percy and Sally from Gabe.

"I have come regarding Elysium Prep and the future education of Greek demigods," Nico explained, capturing the attention of Athena, who regarded him with keen interest. "Elysium Prep caters to students from all grades until their high school graduation, providing a secure environment within the Torre degli Eterni." Nico was glad he had changed the name change of the tower before this meeting, appreciating how 'Tower of the Eternal' befit their godly legacy. "However, our coverage doesn't extend to university levels. In my research, I found that New Rome does."

"New Rome University," Athena muttered disapprovingly. "It serves as a safe haven for Roman demigods and legacies, ranking among the top universities in California."

Nico raised an impressed eyebrow. "How did they achieve that? New Rome isn't exactly a recognized city in California. Well, never mind, I suppose." Nico shook his head wearily. "Considering the ongoing restructuring of Triumvirate Holdings, I wish to fortify the foundation of Elysium Prep before contemplating expansion to another university for demigods. Hence, I propose establishing a cultural exchange – Greek demigods attending New Rome University, and Roman demigods and legacies participating in a student exchange program with Elysium Prep."

Athena nodded approvingly at Nico's well-reasoned proposal. "A wise decision indeed. I fully support this plan. I've been advocating for centuries that demigods need to advance their education if we intend for them to thrive in the modern world."

Hades, wearing a rare small smile, declared, "We all know that I won't vote against my bambino, especially when he brings forth such brilliant plans." However, the smile vanished as he turned to address the rest of the Olympians, adopting his characteristic expressionless demeanor.

Demeter, Hestia, and Hera all raised their hands in agreement. The three sisters were genuinely pleased with the young hero's initiative. Demeter saw in him the cherished son of her precious daughter, Hestia had never seen her family not fight for this long or Olympus heart burn so brightly, and Hera could see him becoming one of her favorite heroes.

Apollo, with a conspiratorial smile directed at Nico, raised his hand, and remarked, "The least I could do for the hero who rescues my oracles is to support him in this endeavor." Apollo's eyes glowed in an unnatural gold color, as Nico's eyes glowed back in response, making the God of the Sun smile wider.

"Cultural exchanges, traveling, and learning from others – well, I can't think of a better idea!" Hermes chimed in with his trademark mischief, throwing his enthusiastic support behind Nico, as expected from the mischievous God of Travel.

Dionysus, Ares, Aphrodite, and Hephaestus seemed rather disinterested, displaying minimal reaction. Poseidon and Artemis, on the other hand, offered their support. Poseidon, grateful for the boon Nico had bestowed upon his son Percy, and Artemis, recognizing Nico's sister Bianca as part of her Hunt. Moreover, her Roman form, Diana, held a certain fondness for the young hero – as much fondness as a goddess with a disdain for men could muster.

However, a single deity vehemently opposed the proposal. "Have we all forgotten the law?! Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter are forbidden from knowing of each other's existence!" Zeus thundered, his voice echoing like a storm behind him.

The other Olympians regarded their king with mild disinterest, while Nico merely raised an eyebrow. He felt a sense of assurance; after all, he had worded the request with due politeness and adhered to protocol. Moreover, Nico knew that Zeus wouldn't risk angering his eldest brother and wife by striking him down. It was then that Nico realized all the power he wielded in his hands because of the Gods lending him their support.

"The reason why that law was placed, was that both camps incited various wars that almost obliterated the demigod population. However, that only happened because of the Triumvirate inciting the misunderstandings and creating a larger rift between the camps." Nico pointed out. "The Triumvirate is gone, but you all still struggle finding harmony between both of your forms. That leaves you weakened, or as weakened as Gods can be."

Ares, who had been lounging indifferently on his throne, straightened up, eyeing Nico with newfound respect. "The lad is right. We are the Olympians, and we cannot allow our enemies to exploit any weakness." Ares noticed the startled look Nico threw his way and gruffly questioned, "What?"

Nico chuckled fondly, "Nothing, it's just that Alexander also calls me lad from time to time."

At the mention of his son's name, something softened in Ares' expression. "Alexander was a great warrior and an even greater soldier. He did me proud and continues to do so in death."

Many Gods turned to Ares in surprise, he was never one to give compliment that freely. But maybe there was a reason behind his sudden softness. After all, Alexander had trained Nico to become a great hero.

Nico's smile broadened in response to Ares' words. "I'll be sure to pass on the message," he acknowledged. Ares grunted, returning to his state of apparent disinterest. Nico then redirected his attention to the King of Olympus.

"I'm not suggesting an immediate revelation of everything to the camps. That would undoubtedly lead to chaos, especially considering the recent changes we've implemented—new cabins, claimings, and temples. They need time to acclimate to these adjustments. However, we can't ignore the impending fulfillment of the Great Prophecy. With four children of the Big 3 still alive, two of them being potential candidates, collaboration between the camps is inevitable. It may not happen now, but it's an eventuality they need to prepare for."

A profound silence settled in the throne room. The mention of the Great Prophecy was not a topic broached lightly. Even Aphrodite wore a serious expression, while Apollo sent a pointed glare in Hades' direction, given the god's role in the curse on his Oracle of Delphi related to the prophecy.

"The young hero speaks the truth," Hera concurred solemnly. "The time is approaching for the reunification of both camps. Although I concur that now might not be the opportune moment, the need for cooperation looms on the horizon."

Zeus sighed wearily. "We will revisit this matter on another day. For now, start preparing your demigods to obtain recommendation letters."

"Recommendation letters?" Nico inqueried, his confusion evident.

"New Rome University's entrance exam relies on recommendation letters from high-ranking legionnaires. However, if they get a letter of recommendation from a God earned through quests, the romans would never be able to refuse a graecus entrance to their university." Athena clarified. "Each demigod must fulfill at least one quest to secure a recommendation letter."

"However, Perseus was never supposed to exist because of the oath we swore to," Zeus turned to Poseidon with a glare, reciprocated with equal fervor by the God of the Sea. "As such, he will need to acquire more than one."

Observing the ominous smile playing on Zeus' lips and Poseidon's escalating anger, Nico swiftly intervened to prevent the situation from escalating and involving innocent mortals. "Does that mean Jason and I need to secure more than one recommendation letter as well?"

Zeus momentarily froze, while Hermes, Apollo, Dionysus, Aphrodite, and Ares chuckled at the unfolding tension. Artemis, Hephaestus, Athena, and Demeter wore amused smiles, and Hestia and Hades turned to Nico with expressions of pride. Poseidon, in turn, regarded Zeus with a smug sense of victory before turning to Nico with a grateful nod.

Hera, struggling to contain her amusement, spoke up. "The young hero is right. If the son of Poseidon requires multiple recommendation letters, so shall my champion." She turned to Nico with a warm look. "However, I believe that Nico does not need to go through that. After all, he was not born out of a broken oath to the river Styx."

"If my cousins will need to secure more than one recommendation letter, then so shall I. It wouldn't be fair for them; they didn't ask to be born from a broken oath," Nico declared with conviction. Poseidon looked at his nephew gratefully, while Hades regarded his son with pride. Even Zeus, it seemed, wasn't overly bothered by Nico's interruption. "How about three? It's the Greeks' lucky number. For the Big 3?"

Zeus appeared disgruntled but reluctantly nodded in agreement. "I agree, three recommendation letters."

The Olympians regarded Nico with a mix of surprise and respect; after all, it wasn't every day that the King of Olympus aligned himself with someone's proposal. Hera gestured with a wave of her hand, conjuring a letter into her grasp. Magically, she levitated the document toward Nico.

"This is my recommendation letter—well, it's from my Roman form. After all, she was the one who dispatched you and the daughters of Bellona to defeat Commodus and Caligula. The paper is crafted from Arachnean-silk fiber with an eggshell finish and triple weave, which will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the admissions committee." With a wave of her hand, two new letters materialized, one directed at Nico and the other at Artemis. "These are the letters for Hylla and Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano."

"Thank you," Nico expressed his gratitude with a warm smile directed at Hera, while Artemis offered a nod in acknowledgment.

Nico's heart surged with a potent mix of pride and gratitude as his eyes traversed the contents of the recommendation letter cradled in his hand. A beaming expression adorned his face, and he couldn't help but direct that warmth towards Hera, who reciprocated with an equally genial smile. As Nico exchanged appreciative glances with Hera, Apollo, the god of the sun and arts, chimed in with a resounding applause. Following this gesture, Apollo conjured yet another recommendation letter, a work of divine artistry. Crafted from silk-coated papyrus and adorned with intricate details inscribed in pure gold ink, the document radiated a celestial glow.

Apollo spoke with a tone that resonated with sincerity, addressing Nico directly, "You demonstrated exceptional courage in facing Nero and liberating two of my oracles from the clutches of the Triumvirate. The least I can do is offer you this letter of recommendation from my part."

Apollo then extended the letter towards Nico.

Nico turned toward the God of Prophecy, a heartfelt smile of gratitude lighting up his features. In response, Apollo, ever the epitome of confidence, shot a wink Nico's way, while his twin sister, Artemis, expressed her exasperation with a subtle shake of her head. Despite the outward display of annoyance, there lingered an unmistakable undertone of fondness and pride in her demeanor, reminiscent of the way Nico's older sister often behaved.

Never one to be overshadowed, especially when it pertained to matters involving his progeny, Hades gracefully raised his hand, summoning forth a letter. The paper, crafted from Arachne's silk thread and infused with obsidian, bore the hallmark of divine craftsmanship. However, Zeus interjected, invoking the rules that governed the gods' interactions with their demigod offspring.

The King of Olympus asserted, "While I permit my queen and son to issue recommendation letters, I draw the line here, brother. It is against our laws to show favoritism to our demigod children by allowing a god to endorse their own progeny."

Hades, ever the nonchalant strategist, dismissed Zeus's concerns with a wave of his hand. "Relax, brother. This recommendation letter comes from Mors," he declared. "After all, Nico successfully recovered four souls that had long evaded the clutches of the Underworld."

Poseidon, intrigued, inquired, "I understand Nero, Commodus, and Caligula, but who is the fourth?"

With a measured response, Hades revealed, "Daedalus," prompting a visible grimace on Athena's expression at the mention of the mortal she had marked so long ago.

Zeus, resigned to the inevitable, sighed and relented, "Very well, I will allow it." The proclamation signaled the conclusion of the brief dispute over Hades's recommendation letter, acknowledging the exceptional nature of Nico's deeds and the necessity of this unique divine endorsement.

Dear Admissions Committee of New Rome University,

I am writing this letter to extend my wholehearted endorsement for Nico di Angelo, a remarkable demigod whose exceptional deeds merit recognition. Nico has demonstrated unparalleled courage, determination, and resourcefulness in the face of challenges that transcend mortal understanding.

I commend Nico for his heroic endeavors in capturing and returning to the Underworld the souls of Nero, Commodus, Caligula, and Daedalus. These individuals, having eluded the clutches of death for an extended period, posed a significant threat to the cosmic balance. Nico's unwavering commitment to justice and his mastery over the intricacies of the Underworld allowed him to triumph where many would falter.

Furthermore, Nico's actions have not only upheld the divine laws but also served to safeguard the mortal world from the repercussions of unchecked souls wandering amongst the living. His efforts have demonstrated a profound understanding of the responsibilities that come with his lineage, and he has proven himself a formidable force in maintaining the order and balance of the afterlife.

As the God Mors, I take pride in acknowledging Nico di Angelo's contributions to the celestial harmony. His achievements reflect not only his inherent strength but also his dedication to upholding the principles that govern our realms. I wholeheartedly support his pursuit of further education at New Rome University, confident that his unique experiences and capabilities will enrich the academic community.

May you recognize and appreciate the exceptional qualities that Nico di Angelo brings to your esteemed institution, and may his presence contribute to the diverse tapestry of knowledge and experiences at New Rome University.

Mors,

God of Death and Transition

Underworld Deity

"I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you," Nico bowed, not only out of respect for the protocol but also out of genuine appreciation. As he straightened himself, he addressed the assembly confidently. "With these three recommendation letters, I believe I have ample support for my endeavors. I propose Viktor, a Russian son of Nike, to oversee the recommendation letters and counsel our demigod students. Your agreement, esteemed Gods, would be most valuable in this matter." The Gods nodded in collective approval of Nico's proposal.

Seizing the moment, Nico decided to introduce another suggestion, taking a leap of faith. "Furthermore, I propose a new practice for demigod quests. Could we request that, as part of their rewards, Gods include a recommendation letter for the demigods sent on quests?"

Athena nodded decisively, before anyone could say anything. "I agree completely. I shall make sure everyone understands the new protocol for rewards."

Zeus, somewhat fatigued by the meeting, sighed, acknowledging Nico's persistence. "Is there anything else?" he asked with a weary tone, prompting Nico to nod hesitantly.

Nico shifted his attention to Artemis, recognizing the delicate nature of his next proposal. "This matter is more aligned with the Hunt of Artemis," he began, casting a nervous glance toward the goddess. Artemis, intrigued, waited for him to continue. "I understand that many members of your hunt appear youthful but, considering the regular addition of new maidens, I propose a partnership between Elysium Prep and the Hunt. This collaboration would assist your younger huntresses in their studies until they obtain their high school diplomas. Importantly, all those involved in sending study materials and grading would be females." Nico rushed to explain. "I just… I remember how hard it was, and still is, to wake up in the 21st century and how much learning aided me into getting comfortable with all the new changes. Bianca, must be going through the same, and this is not me criticizing your or anything…"

But this is you trying to look out for your big sister," Apollo took pity on the young demigod, looking at him fondly. He then turned to his older twin sister. "It's not a bad idea. Given that your hunt mostly resides in the wilderness, this arrangement would help them better assimilate into urban environments when necessary." Artemis, after considering her brother's words, nodded in agreement. "I accept, but I will personally select the faculty members involved in this collaboration."

"Of course, Lady Artemis," Nico sighed in relief at the positive response.

Zeus, eager to conclude the meeting, quickly intervened. "Well, then, the meeting is adjourned. Everyone is dismissed."

The Gods dispersed, marking the end of the eventful assembly. Nico left as well, feeling quite accomplished and eager to share his victory with the Elysium Prep faculty. Mellie and him will be very busy in the upcoming future.
