Both Moana's group and the Bad Guys crew were sailing away across the sea taking in the breeze. Moana took note that appeared to very good and knowledgeable when it came to sailing a boat and curiously asked him how he ended up becoming so good at it.
"Well I learned how to sail a long time ago, when humans still sailed from island to island. I was a curious little monster who watched the humans work on their boats and I became fascinated. The island I was born on was rather boring and I wanted to get away, so one day I snuck aboard a boat and hid among the cargo, I was a lot smaller and shorter back then, so it was easy for me to hide. As the boat sailed to another island I carefully watched the humans worked and paid attention to every detail. When we reached a new island I carefully snuck out and stole a much smaller boat and using everything I learned by watching the crew I managed to mostly sail successfully across the sea to another island." Said Wolf.
"So you like sailing?" Asked Ruby.
"Like it? I love it! Learning to sail and eventually doing it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Out on the sea there's no humans screaming in fear of me and I can basically go wherever I want and do whatever I want want. Sweet freedom! And if it wasn't for sailing I would have never met the rest of my little crew here and formed the Bad Guys." Said Wolf.
"How exactly did you all meet?" Asked Chelsea.
"Well Wolf found me floating in a barrel in the middle of the ocean. I had a disagreement with a former business partner at the time, who didn't feel like giving me a fair share of a treasure we were after, so I took the treasure map, jumped into a barrel, and I rolled into the sea. Was out there for days, until Wolf found me and saved me. I then realized that I had a treasure map and Wolf had a boat and sailing skills, so we decided to partner up and get the treasure ourselves. It was a good haul and we realized we made a pretty good team, so we went into business together and have been friends and partners ever since." Said Snake.
"I met Wolf and Snake and n Tortuga, where I was a performer and entertained the monsters with my shapeshifting powers. Wolf and Snake were really impressed by my skills and they got me in on a job, where I disguised myself as a female monster and got the captain of a rival crew to take me where he stashed his treasure and we robbed him." Said Shark.
"I met Wolf and the others a bit after Shark was recruited. I was a member of a monster fighting club on Tortuga and I was really making a name for myself and then I was approached by a group of monsters who wanted me to throw a few upcoming fights. I said no and they tried to force me to agree, so I beat them all up and Wolf and the others saw what I could do and they brought me aboard." Said Piranha.
"Well I was in the business of making forgeries for thieves and tourists, when Wolf and the others approached for a job to make a few fake idols for a job they were doing involving some powerful tribe of monsters and so I made them. Wolf also heard about my other skills of being a spy and hired me on to the job. I had a great time and I signed up and joined the crew." Said Webs.
"After Webs joined us we officially became the Bad Guys. The greatest thieves among the monster community and across the sea." Said Wolf.
"So why do you call yourself the Bad Guys?" Asked Moana.
"Well the humans and monsters we stole treasure from called us many named including the bad guys, so we just decided to embrace the name and make it ours." Said Wolf.
"Odd, but I guess that makes sense." Said Ruby.
"So why don't you share a little bit about yourselves." Said Webs.
"Yeah we're curious about how a mermaid and kraken became friends and are now sailing with Maui." Said Snake.
Ruby and Chelsea exchanged looks. They knew they had to tell the Bad Guys something about how they ended up together and how they ended up with Maui, but also knew that it would be best to keep certain things secret, such as their princess statuses and the heart of Te Fiti.
"Alright. Both me and Chelsea are a couple of rebels from our people. We have been told since we were both born to hate each other's species because of the whole stolen heart of Te Fiti, but our hearts were never in it and we questioned the whole hate thing." Said Ruby.
"One day both Ruby and me just met on a random little island we were both using as a bit of a vacation spot to get away from our people. It was a very awkward and surprising, when we both met each other." Said Chelsea.
"At first we just stared at each other not sure what to do and then we just started talking and we became friends." Said Ruby.
"We met each other again and again on the island and hung out. Eventually our families and our people found out and they were not happy. So they gave us a choice either renounce our friendship or be banished." Said Chelsea.
"What did you chose?" Asked Piranha.
"Well dud! They obviously chose to remain friends and got banished!" Said Webs.
"Oh. I would have totally figured that out." Said Piranha.
"Sure you would have." Said Webs.
"Yep we're a couple of rebels sailing the high seas together with Maui." Said Ruby.
"So what's your story?" Asked Snake looking at Moana.
"Yeah, why do you have a boat? I thought humans got rid of their ocean sailing boats after Te Kā started causing trouble. And how did you end up with Maui?" Said Shark.
"Well I always had a love and curiosity of the ocean and I wanted to explore it. I loved the island I grew up on, but I just wanted more. My grandma showed where the old boats my ancestors used were kept and then I just took one and went to explore the sea. I explored for a while eventually finding Ruby and Chelsea became friends with them and found out the three of us were fans of Maui, so we went looking for him and found him. Now we're just sailing and exploring." Said Moana.
"Looks like we're sailing with a group of rebels who went against what others told them or expected them to do." Said Wolf.
"Respect!" Said Piranha.
"So Maui why don't you tell us how you stole the heart of Te Fiti. We really want to know how you managed to pull something like that off." Said Snake.
Maui looked at his companions who just nodded and told him it was ok with them to tell the story, since they were a bit curious about how he pulled off.
"Alright here's what happened. For years I've been getting the humans stuff and pulling off amazing feats to get them to love me and increase my reputation. I really wanted to impress them and give the greatest gift there ever was and what would be better the power of creation. So I started to make plans to take the heart, which was protected by both krakens and mermaid as well as Te Fiti herself. I spent a good number of days around both mermaids and krakens helping them fight monsters and befriending them to learn their secrets as well as figure out how they patrolled Te Fiti. After I got all that information I went ahead and sprung my plan into motion. I waited for the time Te Fiti was resting and less alert as well as when the guards where changing shifts. It was a small opening, but using my skills I went through it with no one noticing me. I landed on the resting Te Fiti and located her heart. I found it and then I picked it up being ever other then Te Fiti to hold the power of creation." Said Maui.
"Whoa!" Said Shark.
"Then what?" Asked Piranha.
"Then that's where things took a bit of a turn for the worst. The ground began to violently shake and bits of the lushly green began to blacken and things began to get super hot. I decided I needed to get the heck out of there and quickly changed into a giant hawk to fly out. As I flew I heard screams, shouts, and roars. I glanced back to no longer see the still resting form of Te Fiti, but the horrifying fiery form of Te Kā who must have risen from down below as soon as she sensed the heart being removed and captured and moved Te Fiti to another part of the island. The krakens and mermaids immediately began blasting at Te Kā with all their might, but though their did hurt the chaotic monster they were unable to kill or seriously injure her. Then Te Kā notice me flying away and flung a fireball. It struck me and though I managed to avoid getting killed or seriously injured I hit the ocean and lost the heart." Said Maui.
"Man now that's a story." Said Wolf.
"So where have you been and doing all this time?" Asked Snake.
"Well I was hurt and a bit shaken after the whole ordeal, so I chilled on a island for a bit till Moana and her friends found me and I decided it was time for the legend to fly once more. Now here I am." Said Maui.
"You plan on going another round against Te Kā?" Asked Webs.
"In a matter of speaking. Can't let a giant lava monster keep me down and brag about getting a win against me." Said Maui.
"How you going to beat her?" Asked Snake.
"It's a secret. If I told you all that would ruin the surprise." Said Maui with a smirk and a wink.
"Well we look forward to seeing it." Said Wolf.
"You will once we help you with your little treasure quest. Now why don't you tell us who wants this special treasure you're after." Said Maui.
"Sorry can't tell you. We don't tell others who are clients are. Not even legends like yourself." Said Snake.
"Fair enough." Said Maui.
"We can tell you that we need to pick up a pair of special keys that play a part of getting the treasure." Said Wolf.
"So are the keys together or are they separated?" Asked Moana.
"Separated and the first one is on a island called Madagascar." Said Wolf.
"Well to Madagascar we go then." Said Maui.
The two boats continued sailing on to their destinations.
To be continued.
