Note:

I was inspired by another fic called "The Cut of Your Love Never Hurts, Baby" by FlyOnTheWall14. I didn't follow the plot or anything like that, their OC just inspired me to write an OC like that. It's not finished, to my knowledge, but it is a fun read anyhow. Anyway, my other fic on here is almost done, and I wanted to put this one out to get a feel for it. Reviews and critiques are always welcome!

Disclaimer:

I do not own anything that Disney owns. This is a fanfiction. Just the OC's and plot are mine, thanks.

Happy Reading!

Prologue: That Feeling (Trademark Logo)

Have you ever just hated someone?

Not just disliked – no – like, you actively prayed for their downfall and just knowing they exist makes your skin crawl.

No?

You don't know what that's like?

Well, Princess Anna is certainly jealous of you.

"You're being ridiculous," Kristoff told his girlfriend as he laid on her bed, making her stuffed dolls punch one another.

Princess Anna just huffed and immediately grabbed the dolls from her boyfriend's hands. "You just don't understand," she exclaimed, "something about her just – just – oooohhh – JUST SOMETHING!" As if to emphasize her rage, she launched one of the dolls at her dresser, knocking off one of her many brushes and a perfume bottle. Both Kristoff and Anna cringed once the bottle made contact with the hardwood floor. Miraculously, the bottle did not break and they both released a sigh of immense relief.

Chuckling to himself, Kristoff bounded off of the bed to pick up the fallen bottle. "Really living up to your name, eh, Feisty Pants?" he asked as he placed the perfume back into its' place. Anna's only response to his jest was to blush.

Feeling embarrassed and overwhelmed, Anna threw herself onto her bed and sighed dramatically into her pillow. As he watched her plop down onto the bed, Kristoff just stood over her and shook his head. After failing at figuring out what to do now, he simply sat down beside her and started to stroke her hair.

"What can I do here, Anna?" he asked simply, "What would make you feel a little better?"

Anna groaned into the pillow once more, "Argh! I don't knoooow!" she truly didn't know what about this woman made her so angry. "I just...hate her so much."

"But why?" Kristoff asked, "What has she done to have you hating on her so much?"

"Nothing!" Anna exclaimed, as she angrily raked her fingernails along her scalp, "She has done absolutely nothing. That's what makes me so angry! She's done nothing to earn this...this hatred from me!"

The "she" in question was none other than Saskia Hermansen. She has been a sore in Anna's back for exactly three hundred and forty-seven days. Saskia was once a castle maid, who started working at the castle two years after Elsa's coronation. She was merely working on under the radar, like most of the other servants. That was until that one fateful day that propelled Saskia into being a contender for Anna's future sister-in-law.

That's right.

Saskia Hermansen – the person who Anna could not stand – was her sister's girlfriend.

Anna didn't think it was possible for her to hate anyone. She didn't hate her parents for keeping Elsa locked away and isolated for thirteen years. She didn't hate the castle workers who kept the secret of Elsa's powers from her for thirteen years. She didn't hate – well, actually...she did hate Hans...and the Duke of Weselton...but that was it. Anna didn't usually hate anyone without a good reason.

When it came to Saskia, Anna truly didn't understand where her deep seeded hatred came from. She seemed nice enough. She made Elsa laugh, she was pretty, Olaf and Kristoff thought she was funny – overall, Elsa was happier with her around. Anna, however, seemed to get a certain 'vibe' from the woman. Whenever it was just the two of them alone, Saskia would just smile at her, but the smile never seemed to reach her eyes. It seemed as though her eyes were trying to convey some sort of secret message that her body didn't want Anna to know about. Anna wasn't sure, but she felt that this woman was a problem – she could just feel it in her bones.

"Well..." Kristoff didn't know how to really go about this. He'd never been in this situation before. "...I don't know. Couldn't you try to give her another chance?"

"I've been trying, Kris!" Anna sighed, "I've tried to give her more and more chances. It's been almost a full year with her in our lives, and I just can't shake the initial feeling that she's trouble."

"But it's also been a year, Anna," the ice harvester attempted to reason with his angry girlfriend, in the calmest tone he could muster, "she hasn't exactly done anything to harm Elsa. Do you think you're just being a...a teensy bit overprotective?"

The princess tried to glare at him but she knew he had a point. Sighing, she sat up only to lean against his shoulder, "I guess you have a point."

"Of course I do."

"Don't push it."

"Sorry."

Anna plopped down onto the bed again, groaning for the seventieth time. "I guess I just have to suffer through this until Elsa comes to her senses." the redhead paused to think of alternatives. "Or, you know, she just disappears."

Kristoff shook his head. "If she just disappears, I'll pretend I didn't hear any of this conversation."

The princess just gazed at him lovingly, "Such a nobleman."

"Well, one of us has to be."
