Linus and Sally's Love Story!

It was pouring rain outside and Linus was driving back home from school and noticed a person walking when he got closer he noticed it was a girl, a long, blonde haired girl walking with no umbrella. So he pulls up and asks Hey would you like a ride uh? Sally? What are you doing? Get in!

Sally looks at him and says with chattering teeth Thank you so, so much. She gets in, he turns his heat on for her and he says Charlie stayed after huh? She nods and then he says If you needed a ride you should of said something!

I know Lucy said you wouldn't mind but I hate feeling like I'm a burden to you and, She says shivering.

You are not! Just ask me next time okay? He said cutting her off and shaking his head. She just nods and says, Okay.

They were quiet on the rest of the drive and he finally makes it to her house. When he stops the car the rain poured even harder. She was about to get out when he pulls her arm to stop her Wait! he said Wait for the rain to slow up a bit or you be super soaked.

I'm already drenched why does it matter?

Because you will catch a cold!

Why are you calling me dad? I'm not old!

Linus rubs his temples and looks at her and smiles. Her hair was stuck to her face and her clothes were already soaked to her skin. Sally heard him chuckle so she turns looks at him and asks What's so funny?

Nothing it's just, you look cute to me. Linus then realized his outburst he tried to correct his self but in that moment the rain stopped pouring so the sun started to peek out from the dark gray clouds. Sally looks at him and noticed behind him the rainbow in the distance. She was shocked to hear what he just said but tried to brush it off like he thought of her as a cute little kid or something.

Look the rain has stopped. Thanks for the ride. Have a good rest of your day Linus. She said smiling and got out of his car and hurried inside. Linus waved goodbye and watched her leave and she went inside before he drove away. He kept playing what was said and he was beating his self up about him calling her cute. So stupid! I can't believe I let that slip. I mean she wasn't half bad looking with her damp hair and her top being soaked to her skin. Or how... Oh my gosh, I need to stop thinking of her like that! I need to stop she is like a sister to me. She's Charlie Brown's little sister for goodness sakes!

When Linus got home he did his home work and then told his mom he was going to lay down. He went to his room and tried to think of other things then the very pretty soaked girl in his car from earlier.

Next school day...

Sally needed another ride but before she went looking for Linus she seen the girl that was with her ex boyfriend now. When Sally got closer she heard small whimpers, the girl was crying. Sally didn't want to ask her what was wrong because she didn't care. When the girl looks up and sees Sally she says Hey Sally. Sally stops and glances at the girl with an eyebrow raised. Could I ask you something personal? the girl asked.

Sally didn't want to talk to her but she was taught better then to shun people in need so she nods to the girl. She wipes her face and asks When you and Steve was together did he ever tell you he wanted to "do it"?

Sally was shocked. No he never asked and we never did it why? She told the girl.

Well we did it because he said he would leave me if I didn't. Now he doesn't want to do it with me and he just broke up with me. The girl said and she started crying again. Sally didn't know what to do. She knew she was more mad at her ex then anything now. So Sally sat next to the girl and patted her back to comfort her. At that very moment Linus came up and said Sorry to interrup but Sally did you need a ride home?

Sally looks up at him and nods and she says to the girl Hey I'm going to go. I'm sorry he did that. He's a real dirtbag he's trash don't worry about him okay? The girl looks up and nods and then starting to smile. Sally got up and followed Linus.

They made it to his car. I hope she be okay? I can't believe Steve would of did that. Men!

Linus looks at her with a questionable look then he asked Who is Steve and what did he do to her? They got into his car he started it and Linus seen the mad look on her face.

Steve is the most popular guy in school. He has tons of girl fans following him. Becca got with him and he wanted sex from her and since everyone knows she probably would but she didn't not at first. He told her he would leave her so she did it. Now he broke up with her. Just like a man! Just wants one thing out of us! It's sickening! I can't believe I use to date him yuck what a pig! Sally shouted.

Linus looks at her in disbelief. Then says I'm not like that. You can't just judge all the men to be monsters!

Linus your telling me that you never asked the girls you were with about having sex? she asked raising an eyebrow.

For a matter of fact I haven't! I'm a gentleman and I have morals! He looks at her harshly. And she looks at him with her own piercing eyes burning holes in his own.

Sally let me ask you hypothetical question. If I asked you out and you said yes. We go out on dates to get to know each other more. I do everything in my power not to mess it up. Do you think I would want more then maybe a kiss from you?

She looks down to think and she looks back up to him and says Well if it's "hypothetical" I would think you were sweet but then think you wanted more from me, yes.

He shakes his head and says That's what the girls that I dated thought I wanted. I told them I'm just nice and some wanted me to "do" them. I refused so they said they were done and broke up with me. I wouldn't want to do anything without you wanting to do it too.

I'm sorry. Sally felt bad that she thought of him like the rest of the male popular at school.

It's fine not your fault. I guess I'm not so sane huh? Ha ha ha. Linus laughed remembering their conversation in her kitchen couple weeks ago.

She looks at him and laughs as well. I'm sorry I thought you were being a jerk that day.

He arrived to her house and he says before she got out of the car Don't apologize. I was being a jerk. I just don't get why I have to change to... Sally quickly put her hand on his arm and says Don't change you are fine just the way you are. She smiles at him and he looks at her hand on him then looks up at her. He sees her eyes they have sincere look in them. He nods at her. Well thanks again for the ride. Bye.

No problem anytime. Goodbye. He said smiling at her. She stares at him in awe. Wow his smile still makes my heart flutter. She smiles and gets out of the car and goes in.

He still waits for her to go in and he droves away.

Her mom asks if she starting to feel for her old time crush. Sally tells her no that she thinks they are friends and she tells her mom he wasn't her type anymore. But why do I feel funny being around him again she thought and then went to her room to do homework.
