SIXTEEN

It has been over a month since Brenda and Christian made it official and everything was going smoothly.

All of her things had been moved out of the condo excluding her furniture.

Christian hired a company so she didn't have to do anything.

She still owned the condo but had yet to decide if she was going to rent it out or not.

She was also officially signed to the Cox Agency.

She flew to New York about a week after returning from Port Charles.

She only stayed for a day and then headed back to Seattle.

She was so excited for her future, she just wasn't sure how long it was going to take before she started booking jobs.

She knew she had to be patient.

So for right now, she had a lot of free time on her hands.

Christian on the other hand did not have a lot of free time on his hands, he was extremely busy.

Brenda knew he worked a lot but she didn't really know how much until she moved in.

She honestly didn't know how he did it and the discipline that he displayed was admirable.

He woke up early and worked out every morning in his home gym.

He didn't work out alone, Taylor always worked out with him.

They were both in tremendous shape.

She would workout a few days out of the week, but they worked out almost every day.

Christian would get up early, workout, shower, eat, and either leave for Grey Enterprises, or head to his home office.

And he would often work late into the day.

She wondered where he found the energy.

He never complained, she guess he was used to it.

He also seemed to love it.

It was definitely not a chore to him.

Regardless of how busy things got, he always managed to make time for her…

One day while he was at work, Brenda decided to meet Kristina for lunch.

It had been so long since they saw each other in person.

Kristina had been busy with work and her boyfriend.

Brenda had been busy with Christian and also work.

Her Seattle agents kept her pretty busy but now that she was no longer with them, she had a little more free time on her hands.

Well, until things kicked off with her new agents.

They ended up meeting at a small deli.

"Brenda, you look so different. So….rich."

Brenda laughed. "I get that a lot."

"I still can't believe you and are a couple. And we thought he was gay."

They both burst into laughter.

"Yeah, he thought that was hilarious."

Kristen's eyes got as big as saucers. "You told him?"

"Yeah, he is fine. He did not get offended, I promise."

Brenda thought back to what he told her in Aspen.

How he wanted to take her in the bathroom and fuck the shit out of her.

She shifted in her seat.

"How was Aspen?"

"It was great, we had so much fun. We skied a lot and by the time we left, we were so over it. And how is the love of your life, Michael?"

"He is fine. Brenda, we really should go on a double date one day."

Brenda agreed. "That would be fun. We definitely have to set something up."

At that moment Brenda's phone rang. "Excuse me."

She answered it.

It was her contact, Maria, calling from her agent's office.

"Hey, Maria."

"I just called to tell you that you have booked a major campaign with a cosmetics company and if it is successful, you could end up being the face of their company."

Brenda was in shock. "What? With what company?"

"Jax Cosmetics."

"Wow, are you serious?"

"Yes, Brenda. Do you know how huge this is?"

Jax Cosmetics was an up and coming company and it was very hot right now.

She even owned some of their products.

"Yes, I'm having trouble believing this. How soon is this shoot?"

"Very soon, they really want you. They contacted us. And it is in Miami, on March sixteenth through the eighteenth. I'll send you the specifics. I forgot to ask, are you even interested?"

"Of course, I am! Just send me everything as soon as you can. I'm ecstatic, thanks, Maria."

She disconnected the call.

"Kristina, you will not believe this but I booked a shoot with Jax Cosmetics."

Kristina's eyes widened. "Brenda, that is huge."

"I know!"

"I'm so happy you switched agents because that is major."

"I have to thank Christian for that. He encouraged me to make that move. He also introduced me to the right people."

"Way to go, Christian."

"I know right. Forgive me, but I'm in shock right now."

"Brenda, you are beautiful, I'm not shocked at all."

"Thank you for always believing in me and encouraging me, even when I was a mess."

Kristina reached over and grabbed her hand. "You did the same for me."

They spent the next few minutes scanning the Jax Cosmetics' website, until their food came…

They are eating.

Kristian sipped on her iced tea. "Now, tell me, do you have any plans for Valentine's Day?"

Brenda shook her head. "I haven't even thought about it."

"Brenda, you haven't thought about it? Isn't it your first Valentine's Day together?"

"Yes, but we have been so busy, I guess it just slipped my mind."

"Well, I'm sure your boyfriend has something planned. He seems to be good at surprises."

"Maybe?"

Brenda honestly doubted that.

She wasn't expecting anything.

Christian was not the hearts, flowers, and candy type of guy, and she was fine with that, because he was good at everything else…

It's later and Brenda has just gotten back to the penthouse.

Christian still had not made it home which was not uncommon.

After leaving the deli, Brenda and Kristen went shopping, and just had girl time.

She missed hanging out with her.

They really had such a good time and promised to make it a weekly thing.

Miss Jones was in the kitchen when she got home.

They had become very friendly since Brenda moved in.

Brenda loved talking to her and she didn't understand why she was so freaked out before.

She was a wonderful lady and Brenda really liked her.

She also told the best stories.

Miss Jones was busy cooking dinner when Brenda walked in.

She sat down at the counter. "How was your day?"

"It was fine. I got a little reading done."

Miss Jones was more like the cook and manager of the penthouse.

The only room she cleaned was the playroom.

Everything else was cleaned by a maid service.

Brenda reached down in her shopping bag. "I saw this cardigan and I know how much you love a nice cardigan, so I got it for you."

Miss Jones cleaned her hands. "Brenda, you didn't have to do that."

"I wanted to. I just thought it was so cute."

Brenda handed it to her. "Try it on."

Miss Jones slipped it on.

Brenda looked her over. "It looks so good on you and the fit is perfect."

Miss Jones hugged her. "Oh, Sweetheart, thank you so much…."

After spending about an hour talking to Miss Jones, Brenda headed into her and Christian's room to take a shower.

After she finished she put on a movie and ended up falling asleep.

When she woke up it was dark out.

She got up and walked towards the kitchen to get something to drink.

She opened the refrigerator and pulled out a bottle of water.

Miss Jones had finished dinner and it was in the oven.

She wasn't going to eat until Christian got home.

It didn't matter what time he came home, she always waited to eat with him.

She heard the elevator and voices.

She assumed it was Christian and Taylor.

She walked out and headed towards it.

It was Christian and Taylor, but there was also someone else there, who was obviously not expecting to see her.

Some blonde guy around Christian's age who stopped dead in his tracks, when he laid eyes on her.

Taylor nodded and walked off.

That was his way of saying hi.

Christian walked up to her and grabbed her hand. "Elliot, this is Brenda. Brenda, this is Elliot, my brother."

That caught her off guard. "Your brother? Wow."

She extended her hand to Elliot, who gladly took it.

She smiled. "Nice to meet you. I'm sorry I look a mess."

Elliot laughed. "If this is what a mess looks like, I'd like to see what you consider not looking a mess. I might faint."

He kept holding her hand.

Christian pushed him away. "Dude, act like someone tried to raise you."

Elliot didn't pay Christian any attention, his eyes never left Brenda. "I'm assuming you are the reason he didn't spend the holidays with us."

Ok, that didn't make her feel great.

Brenda didn't know what to say. "I…um.."

Elliot held up his hand. "Don't apologize, I don't blame him. Are you free next year? I was thinking about going to Belize."

Christian was not amused. "Elliot, shut the fuck up."

He turned to Brenda. "Will you excuse us?"

She nodded. "It was nice meeting you."

Elliot smiled. "You too, it has been a pleasure."

Christian shot him a look as Brenda walked off.

Elliot pushed him. "Damn, Christian. Where did you find her?"

"None of your damn business."

"Is…she living here?"

"Elliot, none of your business."

"Why haven't you brought her to dinner?"

"When we want to, we will."

"She is gorgeous. I mean, that's next level."

"Don't say anything to anyone. I'll introduce her when I'm ready."

"I won't say a thing. You must really like her, I've never seen you with anybody, and she is living here too. I don't care if you tell me or not, I know she is. This is serious because I know you. I'm happy for you."

"Just keep your damn mouth shut…"

Brenda was back in bed looking for something to watch, when Christian walked in.

He removed his jacket. "I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"I didn't know he was stopping by. He called and asked where I was because he was close, so it kind of just happened. I didn't mean to put you on the spot. I know it can be weird meeting family, when we are still trying to figure us out and get used to everything."

"Christian, you don't have to apologize. It's fine."

"I feel like I need to and plus he is a bit much."

"He is different from you. I like him, he reminds me of a few people I knew in Port Charles."

He actually reminded her of AJ.

AJ acted just like that but he was struggling mentally now.

He blamed himself because he was driving the night Jason was injured and lost his memory.

She saw him briefly when she visited Port Charles, he was different…sadder.

Christian was standing there looking at her. "Where did you go?"

"I was just thinking about a friend back in Port Charles who is dealing with a lot. Your brother reminded me of him. And no it isn't Sonny."

"Because that was my next question."

He finished getting undressed and went into the bathroom to shower.

She was watching tv when he came out twenty minutes later.

He came out with a towel wrapped around his waist. "I was thinking about taking a little trip."

"A trip?"

"Yes, for Valentine's."

"Christian, I didn't expect us to celebrate Valentine's."

"Why not?"

"Because it isn't something…I thought you would be interested in."

"Are you interested in it?"

"I mean…normally, but that is a day full of everything that you don't like. And we don't have to. I don't need the candy and flowers, I told you….you do a lot already."

"Yeah, but we don't have to only do the things I like or want. You matter to me, so I want to do what you like too."

She smiled. "Are you going to pick out flowers and buy me candy?"

"If that's what you want. You are my girlfriend. I want to do whatever boyfriends do."

Her heart melted.

He continued. "I was thinking we should take a trip to Paris."

"Texas?"

"Brenda, you know I'm not talking about fucking Paris, Texas."

She laughed. "France? When?"

"In the morning. Valentines is two days away. We'll go for a few days. Do you have anything lined up?"

"No, I'm free. I actually booked a big campaign with a cosmetics company. I have to go to Miami in mid March."

"That's quick."

"I know right."

"I'm proud of you. When were you going to tell me?"

"During dinner."

"Brenda, that is wonderful. I'm not shocked. I have yet to see a better face. I know you are going to kill that shit. So, do you want to go?"

"Christian, you know I do!"

She sat up, stood up in the bed, and walked over to him.

She jumped on him, wrapping her legs around his waist. "Thanks, Baby. It is going to be so much fun! Paris for Valentine's Day is wild! I didn't think you wanted to do anything."

"I knew you wanted to do something."

"Grey, I have never had anyone who truly thinks about me the way you do. You are one of a kind. But…I think you deserve something for this surprise."

She kissed him.

He broke the kiss. "What do I deserve?"

She grinned. "Forever the freak."

"Always. Tell me, what do I deserve?"

"Me seeing how far I can take you down my throat."

He slapped her rear. "I think these days you are matching my freak."

"Christian, there is not a person on this planet that can match your freak."

He placed her back on top of the bed.

He removed his towel and tossed it.

She pulled her hair up into a chignon. "Time to pay for this trip."

He laughed.

"Grey, I told you I was a prostitute."

"Brenda, if you don't stop saying that shit. It is annoying."

She laughed because she knew he hated it.

She liked to annoy him sometimes.

It was all in good fun.

She laid belly down on the bed.

He was standing at the edge.

She wrapped her hand around his length and ran her tongue around the tip of him.

"Look at me, Brenda. I want to see that pretty face."

She looked up at him and took him into her mouth….

They ate dinner and spent most of the night packing for their surprise trip.

Neither was worried about sleep, they knew they could sleep on the plane.

They left early the next morning and slept the entire flight.

It turned out to be a wonderful trip.

They stayed in a beautiful hotel which had a spectacular view.

They also dined at five star restaurants, shopped, toured the Eiffel Tower, and took a tour around the city on the night of Valentine's.

It was so romantic.

It was a quick trip but they made the most of their time there…

It's a month later and Brenda has just arrived in Miami for her shoot.

She had only been in Miami for a few hours.

She had a short amount of time to rest before she showered and headed to the shoot.

She was excited and nervous.

When she arrived she was introduced to everybody and then taken to hair and makeup.

She had been sitting in the chair for a couple of hours when she heard some commotion outside of the door.

The person doing her makeup left briefly then returned. She informed Brenda that the owner of Jax Cosmetics had just arrived.

Brenda wasn't expecting to see the damn owner.

She started getting nervous and this was just as she was starting to relax.

What if they were disappointed and didn't like her?

They heard a knock at the door and to her surprise in walked the blonde Australian guy she met in Port Charles.

He smiled. "We meet again."

Her eyes widened. "Jasper-"

He finished her statement. "Jax. Yes, I own this company. Glad to see you made it safely."

She started laughing.

He asked hair and makeup to give them five minutes.

They left.

He waited until the door closed.

"I'm happy you remember me."

"Of course, I remember you. It's not every day I meet someone from Australia. And this isn't a coincidence is it?"

He sat down in a chair. "Not at all. Lois told me that you were a model and just got hired with the Cox Agency. And to be honest, I think you are stunning. I looked up some of your previous work and I thought you would be perfect for us. I had my people contact your agents and here we are. If this goes great, we want you as the face of Jax Cosmetics."

"That would be huge. And I wonder why Lois didn't tell me?"

"Because she had no idea. She didn't know she was giving me information. She was simply just proud of you and bragging about your success. She had no idea what I was planning. I can keep a secret, Brenda."

She laughed. "Well, thanks for this opportunity. I'm so excited."

His blue eyes were dancing. "Me too."

"I'm not going to lie, I was really nervous when I heard that the owner had arrived. I don't feel as nervous anymore."

"I'm glad to hear that…"

It was a long day of shooting and it didn't take her long to get comfortable.

The crew was great.

Jax, what he liked to be called, stayed out of the way.

It was obvious that he was confident in the people he hired.

At no time did she feel uncomfortable and everybody was so encouraging.

The chemistry on that shoot was amazing.

They knew what they wanted which made the shoot a breeze.

They all ended up going to dinner after the shoot was over.

She had another day of shooting the following day.

They are at dinner.

Jax is sitting next to her and they are learning a little bit more about each other.

She learned that his family was currently living in Australia and he visited them often.

He had a place in New York but he was rarely there.

He mostly lived out of his suitcase because he traveled a lot.

Jax Cosmetics wasn't the only company he owned and he was always looking to add to it.

"How did you get into modeling?"

"It was just by chance. I would love to say, I always dreamed of this, but that would be a lie."

"Well, you are definitely in the right line of work. You were made for this. I was very impressed. It takes more than a pretty face, I've learned that. You are extremely photogenic. The photographer showed me a few of the pictures, they are fantastic."

"I'm happy that you are happy. After I met you in Port Charles, I told Lois that I met you, and she told me that you helped her with L . I just want to say thanks."

"No thanks needed."

They spent the rest of the dinner talking about Seattle and how much she liked it.

She didn't tell him how she ended up there, that was just too much to share, especially with her new boss. She wanted to be the face of Jax Cosmetics so she wanted to make a good impression. She didn't want to come across as some lovesick fool.

Brenda looked him over. "You look like you would be good at surfing."

"I am good at surfing."

"You look like it. To be honest, you look like you could model too."

And she wasn't lying, he was a very good looking guy.

"No, I'm not photogenic. Tried that years ago when I was much younger. It was a disaster."

She laughed.

They spent the whole dinner talking to each other.

It was like they were the only two people at the table.

She really liked him and it seemed like that feeling was mutual…...

It turns out, he was staying at the same hotel, so she rode back with him.

She took an uber to the shoot and planned on taking an uber back, but he wouldn't hear of it.

Jax wasn't just staying at the same hotel, he was on the same floor.

He walked her to her room. "Congratulations on a great first day. See you tomorrow. Goodnight, Brenda."

"Thank you and goodnight, Jax."

She opened her door and went in.

She showered and called Christian as soon as she threw on her pajamas.

"How was the shoot?"

"It was great, no complaints. You will not believe this. While I was in Port Charles, I met a guy at Kelly's, the coffee shop. He paid for my coffee-"

Christian interrupted. "He paid for your coffee?"

"Yes, it was innocent. He flirted a little but it was nothing. It was barely a two minute conversation. Well, listen, it turns out he owns the cosmetic company that hired me."

"So, he seeked you out?"

"Yes, so I guess he wasn't flirting that day, he was looking for new talent."

"What's his name?"

"Jasper Jax, with an x. I think the shoot went really great. He said he liked the pictures, but we will see I guess. How was your day?"

"Busy. You really should have let me set you up with a car service, I'm not sold on you using uber."

"Isn't it the same thing?"

"No, not the ones I use."

"I took an uber there and had no issues. I rode back with Jax."

"Is that what you call him?"

"Everyone calls him that."

"Is he staying at the same hotel?"

"Right down the hall, why?"

"Brenda, I hate to come down to Miami and break his jaw."

"Christian, stop and where did that even come from?"

"I can one hundred percent guarantee he wants you."

"Everybody doesn't want me, Grey."

"Bullshit, Brenda. He does."

"He has been extremely nice and professional."

"Just trying to butter you up."

"Christian, maybe he just likes my work and is trying to get me to be the face of his company?"

"Brenda, you are great at what you do, so please don't take this the wrong way, but he tracked you down because he is also interested in you."

"I can handle myself. I told you that. I doubt he will try anything. I told you I caught a ride with him back to the hotel and he didn't try a thing."

"No one else rode with you?"

"No, just us."

"You were alone with him?"

"OK, Christian, I'm hanging up. You are pissing me off."

"I'm pissing you off?"

"Goodnight, Christian."

"Brenda, don't you hang up that fucking phone."

"I need to because I had a good day and you are ruining it."

"I am not trying to ruin your day."

"Well, you are. I'm with you. I'm not a cheater. I'm with you because I want to be with you. You know how I feel about you."

"I just don't trust that motherfucker."

"You don't even know him!"

"You have told me enough."

"OK, Grey, talk to you later."

She disconnected the call and put her phone on silent.

Christian called several times but she did not answer.

She didn't feel like arguing.

She had a really good day and he was ruining it.

Jax was not a creep, that she was sure of.

She had been around enough of them to know that.

Christian was one hundred percent overreacting.

She stared up at the ceiling.

She needed to be real with herself about who he was.

He was controlling which she already knew, but he was also extremely possessive and possibly violent.

Not towards her but toward any man he saw as a threat.

She thought back to when they were in Aspen and his issues with that Oliver fellow.

She didn't think a whole lot about it at that time, but she did now.

He was a bit much.

But she didn't want anyone but him.

He had nothing to worry about.

She really cared a great deal for him.

She thought about calling him back, but changed her mind….

It's the next morning.

Brenda didn't have to be on set until later.

She was still in bed when she heard a knock at her door.

She looked at the time it was eight thirty.

She got out of bed and looked out the peephole and was shocked to see Christian standing there.

She unlocked the door. "Christian, what are you doing here?"

He didn't even wait to be invited in, he just walked in with his bags.

She closed and locked the door. "This is not a vacation, I'm at work, Christian."

He sat his bags down and looked around the room.

He even looked in the bathroom and had the nerve to come out of the bathroom and look under the bed.

Brenda just stood there in shock. "What are you doing?"

"Why did you hang up?"

"Because I didn't like what you were saying. Why are you here?"

"I'm visiting."

She shook her head. "Christian, if you don't trust me this will never work."

"I trust you, it's those other motherfuckers I don't trust."

"Don't you have to work?"

"I own the company, I can work from anywhere."

He walked up to her and tried to kiss her but she turned her head.

That annoyed him.

He grabbed her face, turned it to face him, and kissed her anyway.

She jerked away. "Don't do that. Christian, I know how to handle myself. I've been on my own for a very long time. Maybe he was attracted to me when we first met, but he has only been professional."

"It has only been a day, give him time."

She sighed and sat down on the bed. "If that time comes, I'll let him know I'm not interested. I don't want anyone but you. You know that. And I will be traveling a lot, you can't follow me everywhere. Trust me like I trust you. I know women throw themselves at you all of the time."

He sat down next to her. "Yeah, but you know me, I'm not interested in anyone else."

"Same here."

"Listen to me, on this type of shoot the owners would not normally come around, because they don't want to be a distraction. He is here for you. He wants you. I'm not fucking dumb. I'm just telling you, if he tries anything, I'm going to beat his ass."

"Just don't mess this up for me. I really want to be the face of this company. That would be huge for my career."

"I'm not going to do anything but if he steps out of line just once, I'm going to knock his ass out. That is all I'm saying."

He leaned over and kissed her. "Are you upset with me?"

"Yes."

"I'm not going to do anything as long as he doesn't. You aren't happy to see me?"

"I'm always happy to see you. You know how I feel about you. Well, you should know."

He leaned over and kissed her again but this time deeper.

She closed her eyes and got lost in his kiss.

He was such a good kisser and as annoyed as she was with him, she still loved him…so much.

If he knew how much, he would know he had nothing to worry about.

He broke the kiss. "Don't ignore my phone calls."

"Don't be a jackass."

She yawned and stretched out on the bed face down.

She was still tired from yesterday.

He unceremoniously pulled down her pajama bottoms and smacked her rear.

She grunted. "Are you spanking me because you are annoyed?"

"Partially, I also know how much you like it."

He was right, she had always enjoyed these spankings.

It was crazy how much she enjoyed pain.

She never knew that before him.

He rubbed her cheeks and followed it with another smack.

He kept alternating for a few minutes.

She moaned because it was turning her on, which didn't go unnoticed by him.

He ran a finger down her slit.

"Baby, you're so wet."

He slipped a finger inside of her.

He added a second and then a third one.

She bit her lip and moaned into the comforter.

He took his fingers out and put them in her mouth.

"Clean my fingers, Baby."

She did as he instructed.

As soon as she was done, he leaned over and kissed her hard.

They didn't have a strictly submissive dom relationship anymore, but they still visited the playroom.

This wasn't exactly that but she loved letting him lead her inside and out of the playroom.

He got up and started removing his shirt.

After he tossed it, he leaned down, and pulled her pajama pants and panties off.

"Flip over."

She flipped over. "I'm still annoyed with you, Grey."

He pulled her to the edge and spread her legs. "You can take it out on my mouth."

He got down on his knees and buried his head in between her legs….

Brenda took a shower and got dressed.

She threw on sweats and a tank top.

She pulled her hair up into a chignon.

Christian was sitting at the desk working.

There was a knock at the door.

She looked at him, her eyes pleading, as she walked over to the door.

She looked out the peephole, it was Jax.

She kind of figured that, because it was almost time for the shoot.

She took a deep breath and opened the door.

She smiled. "Hi."

"Hello, I was wondering if you wanted to ride with me to the shoot?"

Christian stood up and walked over to them.

Brenda said a silent prayer.

She turned. "Jasper Jax, this is Christian Grey, my boyfriend."

Jax extended his hand and thank God Christian shook it.

She knew that was hard for him.

Jax nodded. "Nice to meet you."

Christian didn't say a word.

Jax turned his attention back to Brenda. "If you'd like a ride, I'm happy to give you one."

Brenda did not want to test Christian, because she knew he would absolutely fail.

So, she declined.

"Thanks, but I already called an uber."

Jax nodded. "Well, I see you at the shoot."

He left and she closed the door.

She had not called an uber but she knew Christian and he would flip out on her and Jax if she accepted that ride.

He was not the type to bring it up later, he would go off right then and there.

Christian walked back over and sat down behind the desk. "Taylor can take you. We have a rental. I'll text him."

He grabbed his phone and shot Taylor a quick text.

"He'll call when the car is out front…."

Brenda arrived on time.

She went to hair and makeup for a couple of hours and then they started the shoot.

She wore a huge strapless ball gown and had to run over and over, while a huge fan blew, and she playfully flirted with the camera.

It ended up being a long tiresome shoot.

It's later and she has changed back into her sweats.

There was a knock at her dressing room door.

She yelled, "It's open!"

Jax walked in. "Wonderful job today."

"Thanks, but I can't take the credit. You have assembled a wonderful team. It was so fun working with them."

"That's nice of you to say. They enjoyed working with you too. Brenda, I'm just going to cut to the chase, we want you to be the face of Jax Cosmetics. We have seen enough."

Her eyes widened. "Really?"

"Yes, you are not only stunning, but your personality is unlike anyone we have ever worked with. And as I've said before, you are also extremely photogenic. The pictures are amazing. The executives back in New York are crazy about them. But how do you feel about that?"

She squealed and then apologized. "I'm sorry, I was supposed to hold that in."

He laughed.

She continued. "I'm so happy, like extremely happy! Am I allowed to hug you? I'm a hugger."

"Of course, I won't have you arrested."

She threw her arms around him. "Thank you, so much!"

He hugged her back.

She released him.

Jax continued. "Well, my people will contact your agents to negotiate your contract. We'll be in touch."

"Thanks again."

He left.

As soon as he closed the door, he heard her squeal again.

He laughed and walked off…..

Brenda made it back to the hotel pretty late.

It was after twelve.

Taylor picked her up.

She just sent him a text as soon as they were done.

There was no way she was riding back with Jax.

Christian was in bed sleeping when she got there.

She took a shower and got in bed naked.

She climbed on top of him and started kissing his neck.

He cupped her rear. "Welcome back."

"I have some good news. You are looking at the face of Jax Cosmetics. Are you proud of me?"

"I'm always proud of you. Congratulations."

"They have to call my agents and work out the particulars, but it is basically a done deal. I'll have to travel a lot in the beginning. Are you prepared for that?"

"No, but I'll manage."

"Christian, I know how to handle myself and I haven't had any issues. Do you trust me?"

"I told you earlier that I trust you, that's not the problem. I ordered room service if you are hungry."

"I already ate, thanks. There was food at the shoot. I'm hungry…but only for you."

"Ass up here, mouth down there."

She grinned. "No matter what's going on we are always going to have sex. Even in the middle of arguments or career advancements."

He laughed.

She repositioned her body.

She felt his tongue sweep around her button.

She moaned and sat up briefly.

Her thighs sandwiched his head.

She started grinding herself against his mouth.

"Christian…shit."

She leaned down, pulled him out of his boxers, and took him into her mouth…

Brenda ended up going to New York a few weeks later.

She was going there to meet a few of the other top people at Jax Cosmetics.

She decided to wear a suit with her hair pulled back into a bun.

She received a text that her car had arrived.

She grabbed her purse and headed downstairs.

Brenda walked out of the hotel and there was a black suv waiting.

The back door opened and Jax got out.

She smiled. "This is a pleasant surprise."

They hugged.

"I wanted to come pick you up myself. This is a big day for you and our company."

Brenda smiled. "Thanks. I feel so important."

"You are extremely important. This campaign is going to really help Jax Cosmetics get to the next level." His eyes roamed over her. "You look-"

She interrupted him. "Smart."

He laughed. "I was going to say beautiful, but smart too."

"I want to look smart."

He laughed and helped her into the suv.

They are on their way to Jax Cosmetics.

Brenda turned to Jax. "I haven't always made the best decisions, but I feel really good about this one."

"Life is about learning from the past. Are you ready for this ride you are about to get on?"

She nodded. "You have no idea. I never thought anything like this was possible."

"Anything is possible, Brenda. Just believe."

"I want to thank you, Jax, for giving me this opportunity."

"You earned it."

Twenty minutes later, they pulled up to a huge building.

The driver got out and opened Jax's door.

Jax got out, walked around, and opened Brenda's door.

He extended his hand. "Time to get on this ride."

She took his hand. "Just don't take me too fast."

He laughed and helped her out of the vehicle…
