Sergeant Troy receives a message from a local Bedouin chief concerning some sort of harassment by the Germans, but the message is vague and strange. Come alone, it says. What he finds when he arrives at the abandoned mine, though, is not at all what he'd been expecting, nor who he was expecting.

Following directly where "Change of Ways" has left off, this story follows Dietrich and his enlarged Rat Patrol into Tobruk and a new type of war for all of them in North Africa.

A folkloric creature begins tormenting Jack Moffitt and his family, kicking off a mystery and reopening a cold case from nearly fifty years prior. The mystery proves to be more personal than Moffitt initially suspected, when a revelation is made that forces him to revisit a part of his past that he would rather not.

Maybe the guys will let Hitch finish his story.

Whumptober 2024 Taking on the role of courier, Moffitt is in for more than he bargained for - especially on a stolen German motorcycle.

What begins as a simple trip to Greece to learn of his ancestors' homeland quickly turns to a race against time for Sam Troy when he and Jack Moffitt learn of a seer's vision involving jackals and vampiric owls from folklore known as the strix. It also becomes a battle against himself, as Troy once more faces the hurdles of his past that he wishes would disappear.

The journey of coming to terms with his family is not yet over for Dietrich, when a relative he never thought existed shows up at his brother's doorstep with a dark history and difficulties to match.

Whumptober 2024, Prompt #24: "Collapsed building." Two Germans trusted their men, their weapons, and themselves, but then the Rat Patrol showed up.

Set directly after the the events of the Rat Patrol's final episode, the story follows Dietrich's path into an unsteady future, joining his ways with the Rats and even less expected individuals. Reunions with former friends and foes included. (CHAPTER 1-36 revised!)

Whumptober 2024. Past meets present and dreams come to pass when Dietrich finds himself helping two generations of Moffitts at very different points in time.

Hitch's journals contain stories of his life in the Army and his exploits with the Rat Patrol.

Greetings. Please forgive my absence, the length of this story and, for those German speakers, please forgive my inability to include umlauts! The Rats and Dietrich meet again but none of them can guess where their encounter will take them.

Finally completed after all this time. I was never satisfied with any drafts until I sat down at 4am and hammered out a good final chapter. (The writing gets a little facetious, fair warning lol)
