It was unusual circumstance that I suddenly found myself amidst the Company of Thorin Oakenshield. They didn't trust me at first. I was a human after all, and a woman besides, with few useful skills to offer. Yet I could not deny the benefits of their protection as I journeyed home to Esgaroth and so strove to remain in their favour...I never expected to fall in love along the way.

While his mailbox wasn't exactly overflowing on the daily, it wasn't that unusual for Bilbo to receive letters. But this was the first time he had received one from someone he had long believed to be dead...

After countless reincarnations, Tauriel finally managed to get her hands on the legendary alien device from the alien speaker. Rumors said that it could bring Legolas and Thranduil back from the Undying Lands to the new Middle Earth to be with her again. For all eternity, she had been waiting for an opportunity to be with Legolas and Thranduil again. T rated for now.

AU where the heirs of Durin survive BoFA. Kíli rules the Blue Mountains, now only a shadow of what it was before the Retake of Erebor, where Thorin is king and Fíli is crown prince, both of whom he misses dearly, but someone has to take charge of the settlement. Things are bad enough, but get worse – Kíli is summoned to Erebor to perform his duty as a spare and marry a princess.

After her accidental death, fantasy-loving nerd Amara Harvelle is met by Aule and Yavanna two of the gods that watched over Middle-Earth. They asked her to be their champion and to save the heirs of Durin from their fate. Amara accepts their request and after being granted her boons, she wakes up in the Shire. Thorin/OFC, slight crossovers, ratings may change.
