It was far too early in the morning when Zoe woke to find a drained Marinette enter the room. Marinette waved for her to lie back down as she made to rise and went about preparing for bed.

A few minutes later, Marinette was snuggled in the covers next to Zoe, shivering.

"Is it done?" Zoe whispered as she pulled Marinette into her warmth.

Her partner sighed gratefully. "Yes…" The next moment she was out like a light.

Zoe smiled and closed her eyes. It was not long after that she joined Marinette in sleep.

*Zoenette-October*

Alix was waiting at the breakfast table as the other heroes all started coming down. Marinette and Adrien in particular looked exghuasted but they grabbed cups of coffee to try and ward off their sleepiness.

"Sorry to bring you news of a new problem right after the old one." Alix bowed her head. "But this could not wait much longer."

"Whatever it is, Alix," Zoe said, squeezing Marinette's hand, "It must be important."

Alix smiled at her. "Right, it really is. As most of you know, this is not the only universe out there. Remember the time we were visited by Shadybug and Claw Noire?"

Alya, Marinette, and Adrien whinced. Nino, Kagami, and Zoe gave them understanding looks, they had heard this story before.

"Well, there are an infinite amount of these other worlds. Some of them are so precious that we are not allowed to directly enter them. These are dubbed the sacred realities."

Marinette frowned. "But you shouldn't be able to observe any reality but ours. Mind you, I'm sure our timelines are pretty big as they are."

"You are correct, oh fearless leader." Alixed smiled. "With one exception. We are allowed to peer into doomed realities, ones that are beyond saving. To learn how to try and avoid those fates."

Marinette blanched. "Like… Blanc Kitty?"

Zoe wrapped her arms around Marinette. She had heard the story of the time she had thought Marinette and Adrien were going to get together and she had been akumatized into a crazy white cat supervillain.

Marinette had saved her and erased that timeline but it still haunted her partner to this day.

"No, that was part of our reality. These are glimpses into words that for one reason or another cannot go on. Here, it might be easier to show you."

Alix got up and held up her watch. "Fluff, clockwise!"

Once she was suited up, she opened a large portal before them. It flashed to show worlds, outlined in dark orange light.

In one, Ladybug was hit by Strikeback and turned to dust. The world started to crack and fall apart around her. In another, Adrien grinned evily as he handed his father the Miraculous of the Cat and Ladybug. None of them noticed the spiderweb cracks beneath their feet as the world feel apart around them.

"Enough!" Chloe called and Bunnyx killed the portal. "Kwamis, that is a terrible way to spend time."

Bunnyx shook her head. "If it helps us keep from suffering the same fate, I'll watch hundreds of them. Anyways, there are two people from one of these doomed worlds we have been watching. See, once you are in a doomed universe, you can only travel to other universes that are doomed normally. These two, however, are being pursued by an unnatural force that destroyed their universes. The Bunnyx's have decided to help them. Marinette, as my Guardian, do I have your approval?"

Marinette moved out of Zoe's arms and stood up. She could see her partner was considering it.

"What exactly would we be fighting?"

"That's the problem. We cannot tell what the threat is. It seems to be able to hide from us. So we would break the rules and bring them to thise world, and face whatever is hounding them together. As for who they are."

Bunnyx opened a new portal. Standing on the ruins of the Paris Hotel were two girls clad in black. One of them was Lady Noire and the other was Kitty Noire.

"I can't run anymore, Marinette…" The Zoe panted. "Leave me and continue on. You got to get to a universe where you and the Miracle Box will be safe."

"Like hell, I'm leaving you behind. I swore when you came to my world those years ago, I would abandon you."

Zoe felt her heart sting as the cat slitted eyes teared up. "I'm so tired, my love."

"I am too. Fine, why don't we make our final stand here?"

Kitty Noire forced herself up on unsteady legs. "We can't let the hopes and dreams of those we lost be erased. You should go on. I'll buy you some time to use the Rooster."

Zoe had seen enough. "How do we save them?" She asked and she saw Adrien and Marinette nod in agreement.

"Chloe, we need you to make an Akuma that can boost powers. Boost Marc's Supplementation. Then make a portal that can bring people from Doomed universes into ours. I warn you again, doing this might attract whatever it is that has been chasing them."

Everyone got up. Marinette looked around. "Let's get to work, everyone. We can't let those two kittens fall."

Zoe felt her heart surge as she hugged Marinette.

*Zoenette-October*

By the time they got the powers ready, the invisible force had pushed both Lady Noire and Kitty Noire to the edge of their fighting abilities. Both girls were barely conscious as Roosterbolt tossed out his portal and both girls fell through it. Something unseen roared as the portal it's victims-to-be had fallen through vanished.

"I really don't want to see what that was." Mylene was cowering behind Ivan. Her boyfriend picked her up and snuggled her.

The two cat heroines looked around at the gathered heroes.

"Everyone.." Lady Noire said before falling to her knees. Kitty Noire had already crumpled.

Chloe took charge, picking up Kitty Noire and having Adrien scoop up Lady Noire.

Zoe stopped them at the door. "Put them in the same room, please!"

They nodded and headed off. Kagami was calling room service for two heaping plates of cheese for the Plaggs.

Marinette came over and took Zoe into her arms. Zoe fell against her partner. "They look like they haven't slept in ages." Zoe cried into Marinette's shoulder.

"I know. I saw it too. Had you not said anything, I was going to say the exact same thing."

Zoe smiled. "I am glad to know there are other Marinette's and Zoe's that are in love in that vast multiverse. I hope they will be alright."

Marinette kissed her cheek. "We'll give them some time to rest and recover. Then we will see what we can do to help them."

Zoe smiled as she held her Martinette close. She hoped they would be able to save their counterparts. She still wondered what was so strong it could case the two girls across multiple doomed universes.
