Author's Note: I don't own Naruto. Also I decided to make my novel "War" into a triology. Hopefully this will bring some complexity, as well as tie up a few loose strings I left. Enjoy

Chapter I

Threatening Skies

Falcon woke up from his sleep to a pain in his stomach. Something was off, very off. He tried to understand what had triggered this alarm to go off in his mind. There was no suspicious activity from the Eastern Continent, all that remained over there was the Wind Daimyo.

"Oh shit." Falcon said as he realized what had awakened him. The Wind Daimyo was a member of the Axis alliance and they were left untouched after the war had ended. This left the Wind Daimyo to become an emperor in his own right. He practically owned the entirety of the Eastern Continent.

He could've ammased an army to compete with the Talogan Army and try to destroy it. A fate that Falcon wouldn't let happen. He got out of his bed, careful not to disturb his sleeping wife. He walked over to a window and stared out of it.

"Dark Clouds, but clearly not a storm. A bad omen." He said as he looked out upon the vast city. "Dear, what has awake at this time of the night?" Hiro said in a sleepy voice.

"Nothing hun, go back to sleep." Falcon said as he stared out of the window. "I know you too well Falcon, something is troubling you." Hiro said as she stood beside her husband. "Very well, do you see those clouds?" Hiro saw the clouds that Falcon was referring to. "What about them? They look like regular storm clouds." "They're not, there would be lightning or sign of rain. Instead, I see something worse. Those clouds mean there is a bad omen on it way here." Falcon said as he peered into the midst ocean.

Hiro finally got what het husband was telling her. "That new enpire that sprung up on the Eastern Continent?" She asked. Falcon nodded. "I must warn the generals of this threat. I'm afraid we may be soon under seige." He said as he departed from the window to notify the generals. "Go back to sleep Falcon. You can worry about that in the morning." Hiro said as she watched her husband walk briskly away. "Not when there's an emergency." Falcon called back.

Hiro sighed before turning back to go to bed. "It's his job afterall. Nothing can stop that." She said as she went back to sleep.

"Leutinent Iroh, summon all the lords, generals, and the Top Five to the council chamber. Tell them it is or the utmost importance." Falcon said to the loud leutinent. "Aye sir." Iroh said before turning to notify the order given.

Falcon entered the council chamber and sighed. War was always something he hated. But this might be a war easier yet fought in peace. Though that was unliklely.

In half an hour, the lords, generals, and the rest of the Top Five were in the council chamber. Grumbling of grumpy men was heard all over the room, but Falcon paid no mond to that. "Thank you all for coming at such short notice." Falcon began. "You better have a good reason to wake us all up." Naruto said clearly irritated with Falcon.

"I most certainly do your majesty. I was awaken from my sleep tonight to a tight feeling in my gut. Usually a bad omen for the empire is coming when this occurs." Falcon began. "We know Falcon, we were with you for all this time." Neji grumbled clearly not seeing where this was going. "Neji, we are under threat of invasion. From the Wind Daimyo on the eastern continent."

The grumbling instantly stopped when Falcon uttered this sentence. "How can you be sure?" Naruto asked. "The threatening skies told me all. What appear to be storm clouds yet not at the same time. We are going to be invaded." Falcon said. "You are certain?" Hiashi asked. "I am more than certain. In fact i believe they are attacking Kiyoto right now."

Kiyoto was a city close to the ruins of Trota. Unlike it's former rebellious neighbor, Kiyoto was fiercely loyal to the empire. It was a well defended city and was even known for its iconic deserts and drinks. But for all of this, Kiyoto wasn't the best defended city.

"Falcon, as much as we appreciate your assumption, I think we are more than in the clear right now." Naruto said just before a Captain Ozai burst through the door. "Forgive me lords, generals, and your highness, but we have just received a distress message from Kiyoto. They are under seige!" The room instantly fell quiet. "Falcon, take the armies and go to Kiyoto at once." Naruto said with a tone of seriousness.

Falcon did as he was told. He knew that this was coming for a long time. But now wasn't time for "i told you so," it was time for "stop this in its tracks." The threatening skies had proven him true.
