The words of the prophecy kept flashing through Bluepaw's mind as she made her way back to camp.
"While an enemy rises ready to fight, five cats will be born from the light. The first like a bird, riding the breeze, the second quiet like misty trees. The third is like ice, beautiful and bright, the fourth storms through, like a light. To find the fifth, look to the east. Then all five cats will bring the peace."
What did it mean? Was that her, the one quiet like misty trees? Bluepaw shrugged to herself. Maybe. She'd think about it later, after she'd gotten a good night's rest.
Bluepaw was woken up sometime later by someone batting at her face with a paw. "C'mon Bluepaw, you gotta get up! It's almost sunhigh!" Blupaw's eyes slowly opened and she looked up through tired eyes to see Flowingpaw standing over her with a worried look on her face.
Bluepaw yawned and rubbed her eyes with a paw. "What were you doing last night?" the cinnamon tabby asked, a hint of worry in her meow. Bluepaw ducked her head and shifted her paws uneasily.
"I couldn't sleep so I went for a walk," was Bluepaw's quiet reply. Flowingpaw nodded and twitched an ear.
"Um ok... but why did you get back just before dawn? And why do you look like you haven't slept in a moon? Is there something you're not telling me?"
Bluepaw's eyes went as wide as a vole and she avoided looking Flowingpaw in the eyes. "I-I can't say anything, I'm really sorry, Flowingpaw," she meowed, her voice soft but clear.
Flowingpaw sighed and flattened her ears, then meowed quietly, "but why not? Is it something you heard at the Gathering the other night? Please Bluepaw, just tell me what it is! I promise I won't tell anyone else!" Bluepaw looked thoughtful as she stared into Flowingmpaw's minty-green eyes.
It was silent for quite sometime before Bluepaw spoke up to break the ice. "Ok," she meowed while looking up at Flowingpaw. "I'll tell you what I was really doing last night. But you have to promise to keep what I'm about to tell you to yourself, do you understand?" at Flowingpaw's nod, Bluepaw took a deep breath and shook out her blue-gray fur.

Once Bluepaw had told Flowingpaw everything that had transpired the previous night with Kestrelpaw, Ripplepaw, Foxpaw, and Starlingpaw, she waited to see what her reaction to this whole thing would be.
It was silent for what felt like moons, and it was starting to make Bluepaw feel very nervous and a bit on edge. What was Flowingpaw thinking? Would she think Bluepaw was lying? Should she have even told her in the first place? All these thoughts were racing through her mind like a tempest and it was starting to make Bluepaw feel dizzy. She just wanted Flowingpaw to say something, anything to stop the whirlwind of negative thoughts that were racing through her brain.
Finally, after what felt like three sunrises of waiting, Flowingpaw finally spoke up. "So... you met these three cats at the Gathering, and one of the cats, Kestrelpaw, told you, Ripplepaw, and Starlingpaw to meet her at the BirchTree for a secret meeting?"
Bluepaw slowly nodded with a sheepish smile forming on her face. "Yeah, that's pretty much what she told us to do." Flowingpaw frowned and put her front paws on her chin in thought.
"And you learned that Kestrelpaw, Ripplepaw, and Starlingpaw all have strange powers like you?" Bluepaw nodded again and Flowingpaw gave a heavy sigh.
The cinnamon tabby sighed softly and stared down at her paws in thought. Then after a short while she spoke up once more. "Could you please tell me that prophecy again?" the cinnamon tabby asked, the blue-gray molly sighed and twitched an ear.
"Sure, but listen carefully," Flowingpaw nodded and Bluepaw took a deep breath.
Silence fell on the two cats once again for what felt like the fifth time, they both just sat there, trying to determine what the words of the prophecy meant and how in StarClan's name would four apprentices save the Clan's from this appearing enemy the prophecy mentioned? Neither of them knew the answers, but Bluepaw knew that destiny had chosen her and the others for a reason. But what could that reason be?
