Prologue:

Fourteen years have passed at St. Dabius Church since Simon and Richter Belmont came to aid Serenity Graves, her brother Nathan, and their friend Hugh Baldwin. Upon a simple discussion they had all agreed to keep the name of the church. Serenity expressed that it would not feel right to change its name since they had already changed so much on the inside, yet it still felt like a church to her. The others agreed without any argument what so ever.

As the years quickly passed them by they did not receive another visit from St. Germain or his strange companion. True to his word neither of the Belmonts seemed to age even in the slightest in their years of housing at the church. Serenity wondered if the aging was just slower than it would have been naturally, but both Simon and Richter stated that they did not feel the age at all.

On one rainy evening as Nathan trained alongside Simon and Hugh with Richter they each felt an enormous pressure coming from somewhere to the far south of where they were. Putting their training on hold the men went inside in search of Serenity. The second world war was in full swing. They had kept themselves out of it for the most part. Their war was against the legions of darkness, not their puppets. Serenity, Nathan, and Hugh kept far away from the battles of the first world war while on their quest to learn everything they could about defeating Dracula for good. The situation, while surprising to them as they learned about what was happening, was not something that required their attention.

"It's not Dracula," Nathan said crossing his arms as he looked at his sister who was sitting quietly next to the fireplace.

"No," she answered almost in a whisper, "but it is the castle."

"Can you be so sure?" Simon asked with a stern face.

Nodding Serenity replied, "Yes. If it were Dracula I think we would be able to sense him. I can sense…something," here she paused as if struggling with her thoughts, "it's not him though."

The hunters shared a look of concern before Richter began, "If the castle has emerged without Dracula it's only a matter of time before someone summons him."

"Yes," Nathan agreed, "that's how it was the last time we encountered him. We got word of the appearance of the castle, and by the time we arrived Carmella had already summoned him."

Taking a breath to steady herself Serenity stood up, "We need to go."

"Are you sure?" Hugh asked, "Are we ready for him?"

Richter gave him a light smack on his back and stated, "We're ready. All three of you are stronger than you were when Simon and I arrived."

"Plus you'll have the aid of two Belmonts this time," Simon finished with a smile.

Serenity gave them each a nod of confidence, "We may not be able to banish him for good if he does appear, but we can at least give him one hell of a beating."

Hugh regarded this with a grin, "I almost want him to appear. He's going to lose his mind seeing Simon and Richter with us."

With that the group of five got a small stock of supplies together and began making their way to the castle.
