Her mother had the same problem with the issue a couple of days ago screaming about the fact a bunch of pixies had stolen the family butler. And, demanded them to be banished with iron at once for pixies never do like anything made out of iron much less made out of steal.
Harry once mentioned the fact that they feared iron because they didn't like hard work and at the time Ginny found it a little bit laughable. However, looking back onto it now she now regret the choice of her laughter because it gained no respond from her boyfriend just a slight frown.
So, yes whoever Roseanne Smith was found a couple of old fairy books and wrote them down into her dairy followed by three fairy encounters which soon followed.
