"Doctor, I've never seen you take a pill," said Tegan. "Not so much as an aspirin. Doesn't your head ever hurt?"

"Yes," I admitted, "but I don't need to absorb extraneous substances. With my physiognomy I heal quickly."

"Dojjen's snake," Nyssa reminded me.

"That's different. That was to permit telepathy."

"Permit? Not cause?"

"Nyssa, we are all somewhat telepathic."

"You more than most, Doctor."

"Maybe."

"You don't read our minds." Tegan wasn't asking; she was stating a fact.

"Correct. I don't."

"I know." She stalked off.

"What's with Tegan?"

"I think," said Nyssa, "she wishes you could read her mind."
