This has been made to replace Fairy Tail's Demon Hunter. That story wasn't working out and I had to shake my head at it, at the way I started it. And I've tried my hand at that crossover one too many times, so I felt it was best that I bring back an old favourite and see it through to the end. And this one... this one, I feel more comfortable with.
So, welcome to Godzilla: The Titan of Fairy Tail, a story in which an OC is bonded to Godzilla who is sealed inside the OC's soul, like Naruto and Kurama if you want to look at it that way. During a fight with the rival, the OC ends up in the world of Earthland and... why the fuck am I telling you this much? I think you get the gist anyway. But if you remember the old version, the story is still relatively the same except for one thing.
It's a harem story this time, instead of a OCxErza. I mean, Erza is going to be in the harem, so there's that.
But anyway, I hope you enjoy.
Disclaimer: I do not own Godzilla or Fairy Tail. I only own the OCs Mason & Markus Reeves.
For centuries, humanity always believed that they were the dominant species of Earth, that they were the sole species in the Universe. That they were the only form of life in the vastness beyond their planet, beyond their galaxy. Humans have their flaws; they destroy each other, they destroy the world they walk upon with pollution, war, overpopulation. But that is just human nature, and it has been that way since the beginning of their evolution.
However, their beliefs that they were the dominant species of Earth... was not in fact true.
The world never belonged to humanity, it belonged to ancient, gigantic creatures that roamed the Earth far back to the age of the dinosaurs, perhaps before that. Gigantic beings who survived the extinction of the dinosaurs, and thrived into the very early stages of civilisation. Where these gigantic monsters were revered as gods to be worshipped and feared.
They were the original, and what some may call rightful, rulers... the Titans.
They are part of the Earth's natural defense system. A way to protect the planet, to maintain its balance.
During the time when prehistoric humans originally lived alongside Titans, they formed symbiotic relationships, building homes near the nests of benevolent Titans who would fend off more hostile Titans, scavenging the remains of dead Titans for materials, devising horns which could mimic the Titans' calls; and humans potentially even developed telepathic communication with some of the creatures. However, in time, these humans attempted to enslave and control the Titans for warfare. Some of the Titans rebelled against their human captors, and this triggered a full-scale war between humans and monsters, which culminated in a vague geological cataclysm that left both sides decimated.
In the aftermath, the Titans withdrew into a long hibernation while the surviving humans' former civilizations were left in scattered ruins and eventually forgotten.
However, thousands of years later, following World War II and the dawn of the Atomic Age, a Titan was discovered by humanity. But this was not just any Titan. This one was a being who was nature's power to restore balance. The one who ruled the Titans, kept them in check and in hibernation as the Earth shifted and evolved along with the various smaller species. This Titan was known as the King of the Monsters, but his name made humanity tremble in awe, respect and even fear.
Godzilla.
He was the world's ultimate guardian, protector, an apex predator. An Alpha, emerging from the mysterious depths of the ocean to battle aggressors that threaten the balance of nature.
In 1954, an American nuclear submarine unknowingly awakened Godzilla when it reached the lower depths of the ocean, drawing him to the surface in search of new sources of radiation. Godzilla attacked and fed on American and Soviet nuclear submarines in the South Pacific Ocean, with each nation believing the other was responsible for the attacks.
When Godzilla's existence became known, the American military began detonating a series of nuclear bombs in the Marshall Islands to try and kill the creature, under the guise of nuclear testing. On March 1st, 1954, Godzilla was lured ashore at Bikini Atoll, where the American military detonated their first-ever dry-fuel hydrogen bomb, code-named Castle Bravo, in an attempt to kill him, but Godzilla survives and vanishes soon afterward, and the United States covers up all evidence of his existence. A scientific organization called Monarch was formed to study Godzilla and any other supersized "hyperfauna" like him, and continued to search for him in the following decades.
It wasn't until 2014 that Godzilla reemerged, and the world became aware of that giant monsters existed.
However, years later, after the threats of the MUTOs, King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla and the Skar King, a new type of threat had emerged. One that was quite unexpected.
A human.
A human whose soul had been bonded to Ghidorah at the three-headed dragon's will as a desperate attempt to remain alive and regrow his strength. His physical body may be destroyed, but his soul managed to survive and pass into a human.
The human's name was Markus Reeves, and when he displayed traits of power, Monarch brought him in to be studied, to see what gave him his power and the connection to it. But they never knew that Ghidorah was speaking to Markus, manipulating him, and it wasn't long before Markus only trusted Ghidorah. That humanity was a virus infecting the Earth, and should be cleansed before the planet is killed.
And so, he broke out of Monarch, slaughtered everyone in his path, and began his conquest of Earth, starting with his attempt to gain the allegiance of the Titans just as Ghidorah did in 2019. However, it wasn't that simple. To become the Alpha and King of the Titans, he had to beat the current one.
So, Markus caused enough destruction while continuing to master Ghidorah's power, and finally he gained Godzilla's attention. However, in their fight, Godzilla was badly wounded by Markus, who decided to leave Godzilla to die while he turned his attention to the Governments of the world, for they would be the biggest nuisance to establishing his rule and putting humanity as his slaves.
But Godzilla wasn't out of the fight just yet.
He did what Ghidorah had done. He mustered his incredible power and chose a human soul to bond himself to, giving that human a connection to the King and his power.
That human's name was Mason Reeves, Markus' younger brother.
And so was a rivalry renewed between two Alpha predators... and a brotherly bond broken when Mason was unable to convince Markus to stop.
It was in the desolate city of New York that our story begins, as the two Titan hosts battled fiercely.
Mason grunted as he was knocked back, crashing into the side of a truck which tipped over due to the impact, and the host of Godzilla slid along the ground before coming to a stop while groaning in pain but felt his wounds start to heal thanks to the abilities that he inherited after Godzilla's very being sealed itself in his soul. And one such ability was the regenerative ability.
Mason Reeves was a young man of twenty years old, had brushed down charcoal black hair and brown eyes. His clothing consisted of dark reddish-brown steel-toed boots, dark blue jeans, a black short-sleeved top, black leather fingerless gloves and a long, hooded black coat with light neon blue serpentine patterns and three separated coattails with slightly tattered edges. In his right hand was an O-katana that had an ornate bronze guard and a black scabbard with a dark blue cord tied to it. (AN: Vergil's coat from DMC 5 but with a hood, along with DMC 5 Yamato)
The katana's name was Murasama.
Mason stood to his feet, gripping his sheathed weapon tightly in his hand as he glared at his opponent with anger, near-hate, and sadness.
Markus Reeves was only a year older than Mason, with the same brown eyes that Mason had, swept back black hair and fair skin.
His clothing consisted of a faded black, 3/4-length, hooded leather coat with red interior linings and the symbol of a three-headed dragon with it's wings spread sewn on the left arm, a gray tank top, black fingerless gloves, black faded jeans and black military boots.
Slung across his back was a massive sword with a heavy double-edged blade, notched on both sides near the tip. The grip is plain, but the guard is skeletal, with a skull-design on each side leading to the rib cage from which the blade emerges; on one side of the blade, the skull is that of a human, while the other uses a dragon skull. The crossguard looked to be the bones of the arms, but were folded in against the ribcage part of the sword.
"You should've joined me when you had the chance." Markus hissed with venom in his words, lightning streaking across the sky with a rumble of thunder accompanying it.
Around the brothers were destroyed vehicles, debris from buildings, scattered materials. Nobody was in sight, though there were some dead civilians that Markus had purposefully targeted in order to anger his brother. But by now, people were far from the fight, evacuated by the remaining authorities. Mason was relieved though, as he didn't want innocents caught between the fight.
Mason shook his head sadly, wishing the brother he knew was still there but he doubted it. "Markus, please, it's not too late to stop. Face up to what you've done. I want to help you."
Markus shook his head. "It's too late for that. You only want to help yourself!"
"You know that's not true!" Mason denied.
Sneering, Markus struck his hand out and a bolt of lightning came from his palm, nearly striking Mason who dodged to the side then growled before charging his brown with his sheathed blade. Markus smirked, then swung his sword, Darkstride, and sent a wave of lightning energy at Mason who flipped over it. While in midair, he unsheathed his blade and brought it down towards his brother, who blocked it. With the two locked in a test of strength, the brothers glared fiercely at each other with varying emotions.
For Markus, it was nothing but anger and hatred.
For Mason, it was anger and solemn resolve.
the two broke their sword lock and reared back, yelling as they struck forwards. Sparks flew each time their swords collided, the two swinging quickly to the point they were almost blurs, before Mason channelled Atomic energy into his right leg and struck it out. Markus was caught by surprise and grunted as he was struck in the chest, sending him sliding back on his feet before he collided with a car.
He looked down at his chest, seeing a burn mark left from where Mason had struck him. He looked up and glared at his brother with a cold smirk.
"Good... very good..." He said.
Stabbing Darkstride into the ground, he grabbed the car behind him and volleyed it at Mason whose eyes briefly widened before setting into a glare as he charged, ducked underneath the car, then shot right back up and at Markus who flipped to the side, ripped a street lamp out of the ground and then swung it.
"Look out!" Godzilla shouted in Mason's head as he turned, eyes widening a second before he was struck by the street lamppost, sending him crashing through a store window and then slamming into the wall of a building.
"Fuck..." Mason coughed up some blood and spat it onto the ground as he fell to a knee. "He's... He's getting stronger."
Sensing danger, Mason quickly ducked his head to the left to avoid Markus' sword from going through his skull, then ducked to avoid a punch from his brother. Mason tackled Markus to the floor, then stood and stomped on his chest hard. Markus grunted, then drove his fist towards Mason's leg but he lifted it to avoid that, then did an elbow drop to his chest, then repeated the action by driving his elbow into Markus' chest repeatedly, before finishing with an elbow to his brother's face. Markus spat a tooth out with an angered growl, but Mason jumped right back to his feet and drove his boot into Markus' face, applying enough force to send him flying back, smacking off the edge of a truck trailer.
"It's time to end this." Mason said with an animalistic growl, his eyes changing from brown to a golden-yellow color, a blue and white aura starting to drift off his body as he began to use Atomic energy and power.
Markus pushed himself to his feet, his face lit with fury as his eyes changed to red, a yellow aura coming off his body now.
Mason's katana started to cackle with signs of blue flames, and Markus' blade was similar but with lightning.
With roars of their respective Titan tenants, the brothers charged and launched into the air at each other, rearing their weapons back before swinging them forward. And at the single clash, a large explosion occurred, engulfing the area in a ball of blue and yellow.
When it died down, and the smoke cleared away, there was nothing but a crater. And no sign of Mason and Markus. They were gone.
But not dead.
Okay, I'll be honest, this could've gone better but... eh. I did what I could. I mean, this is a story where a guy has a giant monster sealed inside him and ends up in a world of magic, wizards and talking cats. Plus there's seems to be almost no logic when it comes to anime, though that depends on which anime you're watching.
Anyway, let me know what you think in the reviews, please.
Harem: Erza Scarlet, Lucy Heartfilla, Mirajane Strauss, Cana Alberona, Jenny Realight, Kagura Mikazuchi, Minerva Orland.
That's who is in the harem so far. There will be a total of ten women, no more than that. So do try to provide suggestions as best as you can.
