Horns Kaigaku

The demonic transformation was supposed to be painful; he knew that. but he still couldn't shake the horrible ache on his head that came when he was fully transformed. He must be growing horns, he'd been warned about this, he was planning on retracting them almost as soon as they grew. no need for an inconvenience. And so, he waited as the two spots of pain on his head grew. Still nothing poked through the skin.

He started scratching at his head, it hurt, he just wanted them to get through the skin. He screamed as blood started pouring down his face like a waterfall. Bumbs finally started to form on his head, which was good. It was progress. he felt like his brain was splitting in half as more blood splattered out his head. He felt them with his hand, slowly they were pushing past the skin barrier and ripping his flesh off. He pocked himself on one, they were surprisingly sharp. Now even his hands looked like they were tearing apart. Chunks of flesh fell onto them, dropping from what seemed like the sky. They were coming out.

Still growing, Kaigaku ran to the broken bathroom mirror. The house was abandoned, and the mirror was covered in so much dirt all he could see was what looked like a bloody ghost. He wiped it clean. And looked at himself.

He looked disgusting. With his face a bloody mess and two teeth like spikes coming out his head. It took all he had in him to not throw up at the sight. The spikes were working their way thought his skin. They were causing the worst headache along with them. He supposed his skull must be reforming itself to hold them. How useless that would be. Reaching up to touch them, he winced. All of that area was sore. Griping onto the sink was all he could do to stop himself crying out. taking in deep breaths to distract himself from the pain, he let go of the sink. It had stopped.

The pain was fading, gradually but still, he felt a lot better already. Glancing back at the mirror he saw the new horns, finally formed on his head after their painful arrival. they looked like fairly average demon horns but still he couldn't help but almost admire them and their glistening white shine. They were sharp. Sharp enough to pierce skin, he bet. Bringing his hand up to his head, to touched just the tip. Ouch. It could in fact, pierce skin. Maybe if he cut them off, they would be an alright backup weapon, but as he was advised, they were fairly useless, only lower-level demons had them. So, he took a deep breath in once again and forced them to go away. It was a strange feeling, like something was being returned to him that has never been missing.

He felt his head. The bumps were still there and somehow, he still could feel his now gone horns.
