Hey guys, I am writing a new Teen Titans fanfic focusing on Beast Boy in another world. Give me your thoughts on this.
It was a normal day in the titan tower...well as normal as it has been for the last 2 years.
Beast Boy, the green-skinned animal shapeshifter of the Titans, he sat on the couch with pizza boxes all around him. He didn't care. He was just about done with it.
His body felt heavy, like very heavy, and then a sudden feeling of falling. Opening his eyes, he was in the eye of a tornado or a whirlpool. All around him, there was colour and magic swirling around him. It felt a little like Raven's portal magic, but amplified to a thousand times.
Back at the titan tower, there was no sign of Beast Boy, who had been on the couch a few seconds before, leaving nothing but the faint hum of energy behind.
An Unknown Place
Jumping awake, he found himself in a grand, ornate hall. The walls were adorned with rich tapestries, and a grand chandelier hung from the ceiling. He looked around and saw that he was surrounded by armed guards, their weapons drawn, and a man in regal attire seated on a throne.
"A goblin?" the king questioned, his voice sounded as if he made a statement that was a question. "What is the meaning of this?" he turned to the left.
A witch, clad in dark robes, stepped forward. "Your Majesty, it seems the creature was summoned as a hero. There might be a logical explanation; I just need a bit of time to deduce the reason."
Beast boy could easily see that she was stumbling for words; it was like an employee who messed up and was afraid the boss would fire him.
"I wanted a hero, and what do you get me a monster? Not even a powerful monster, but a disgusting and worthless goblin." The King's voice echoed throughout the vast room. "Throw her in the dungeon and..."
Beast Boy stood up, rubbing his head. "Well, things looked bad, so I might as well try to diffuse the situation." He said, "Hey, Mr. King, I'm not a goblin! I'm Beast Boy, a superhero!"
" A talking goblin... catch it," the king ordered. The knights turned towards him.
"Wow guys stop, I am not a goblin"
The guards either didn't understand him or didn't care and advanced, their weapons glinting menacingly.
Thinking quickly, Beast Boy morphed into a kangaroo, and did a huge jump back away from the guards before changing back to normal
The guards recoiled in shock, and the witch's eyes widened.
"see i am not a goblin.. " he started speaking but was interrupted by a knight
"He's a mimic goblin!" One of the more senior knights cried. "They can take on different forms to trick their enemies!"
The guards lunged at him, and Beast Boy shifted into a falcon, flying up to the rafters to evade them. He perched high above, looking for an escape route. The witch began chanting another spell, and Beast Boy knew he had to act fast. Spotting an open window, he swooped down and darted through it, feeling a wave of magic but as it did nothing to him so he didn't pay much attention to it and left the castle.
Outside the castle, Beast Boy found himself in a bustling medieval city. The shouts of the guards echoed behind him as he soared above the rooftops as far away from this place as possible.
He darted through the streets, transforming into various animals to blend in and escape unnoticed. As a mouse, he scurried through narrow alleys; as a cat, he leapt over walls.
Eventually, he found refuge in an abandoned building at the edge of the city. Panting and exhausted, he reverted to his human form and tried to gather his thoughts. He needed to find a way back to his world, but first, he had to understand where he was and why he had been summoned.
As night fell, Beast Boy cautiously explored the building but found that there was nothing of value here. He changed into an owl and took in the view of the world around him.
The Houses were like medieval times. There were no cars, no proper roads, no resemblance to the world he lived in.
He really was in another world.
Beast Boy's journey in this strange new world had just begun.
So what do you think about this chapter? I do plan to put other titans as well as villains, but they will be this world's version of them.
As the story goes on, I plan to add monsters and quests from DnD, so any suggestions or monsters you want to see. Let me know.
