Hello everyone, I am back with a new chapter! Thankfully, a little longer and less rushed. I am going to do my best to follow character's and their identity, don't want them to be too OCD for you folks. Now onto reviews. Thank you all for reviewing so far and helping me with the votes. But I do like to say something for one person specifically.
To John Monty's review... My response -
Um, I have no other words to say except wow. But also, love the excitement, but certainly way too many expectations in that very detailed processed thinking. I've only just resumed writing, so I'm taking my time with it and I only ask folks when I'm stuck on a decision and go from there. But, it does sound like maybe you should write your own stories and explore your worlds like the rest of us. Thank you for the review! And to your older response, it's possible there could be lemons, but the pairing will be slow to built until a decision has been made in the voting poll. Yes, she will be an animagus, I'm leaning towards a wolf, but I have to write that into action and then into words for the story to make sense, so we will see.
Now, onto the voting poll! Here are the results so far...
Daryl Dixon - 5 votes
Glenn Rhea - 4 votes
Rick Grimes - 4 votes
T-dog - 2 votes
Looks like Daryl is in the lead. One more chapter after this one and the poll will be closed down for the winner for that chapter. So be sure to go on my profile page and vote!
Charlotte sighed as she decided against her better judgement to save this man, or as the memories tell her, Merle Dixon. His brass decision over the drugs caused him to be in this predicament in the first place, but she knew he wouldn't give up, he had someone, that much she gathered if he kept going despite the fact he was locked in handcuffs on a hot rooftop in the middle of detoxing in the heat. She looked down at Teddy though and then at the large man himself. She guessed she's going to have to use magic to lift him up, but first, to make sure he's not bleeding out. She used Tergeo to help clean up all the blood that spilled and then Ferula to help wrap a clean bandage to the stump. "Mobilicorpus." She whispered the spell after making sure the door was opened for him to prevent hitting his head.
His body floated up into the air now that Charlotte was able to see him more clearly. He was more brawn than any other man she'd seen, wizards back home relied on their wand more than their body, so this one must have fought to live, considering the muscles he had on his arms and such.
Once she reached towards the forest, she gently settled the man on the soft grass. The first thing she needed to do is set up some wards, thankfully one that hid them from sight and smell. She whispered Erecto to help her set up the tent she intends on using for the man, Merle she remembers from the memories.
Once it was finished, she went over to check his stump, only to see it bleeding again and sighed to herself. She pulled out a blanket and a baby gate to help prevent Teddy from wandering off when he wants to crawl. She laid him down on the blanket so she could pull out her potion supplies such as blood-replenishing potion, which restores the blood that had been lost, calming draught as well as a vial of phoenix tears as a just in case. She manually removed the mans bandage and immediately set to work on healing the stump.
TIME SKIP
Charlotte sighed in exhaustion. It took her more than an hour to make sure the stump healed before it became infected. She did what she could do to heal the arm, now it was up to him. She turned over to check on Teddy only to see him still sleeping. Decided to turn in herself after checking the sun starting to set.
She set up a warning system with her wand when the man, Merle she keeps forgetting, wakes up, then settled down beside Teddy by the gate.
Sometime later, which felt like an hour, but it was now nighttime, her wand buzzed strongly, singling to her that Merle was starting to wake up and geared herself for any aggression he'd show.
She made sure Teddy was entirely behind her as she got her sword front and ready should he attack as soon as he sees her. He was slow coming to, but when he started groaning then becoming stiff, her muscles tense, ready for a fight.
Merle blinked his eyes open only to see he was in some kind of tent, pain had dulled from where it was before he lost consciousness. He looked down at his arm as he remembered how he got there in the first place and shot up right only to grimace at his arm and looked towards the entrance of the tent to see a silhouette standing from a short distance. He looked around him for a weapon, but he didn't see anything. "Come out slowly and make no sudden movements." British? He thought with surprise, but then again, he wasn't surprised, if it was bad here in America, it was bad everywhere. He slowly moved out of the tent as the voice, women, demanded and he blinked in surprise.
It was a woman alright, from the looks of it, chit has a baby with her judging from the baby gate behind her. In his eyes, she was exotic compared to all those chits he ever slept with in the past. She had fiery red hair with the rarest of green eyes he done ever saw.
She wore black colored jeans that reached down to her ankles and hugging her ass in a way he certainly liked. She had on a fancy white button-down blouse with a dark leather jacket over it. She had a sword at the ready.
He raised his one hand in defense. "Woah, there little lady, I ain't gonna harm ya or the little one behind ya. I ain't my ol man. "He stated. She raised an eyebrow at his accent, confirming her thoughts. She sighed and decided to lower her sword and stood across from him.
He looked at her weirdly. "Got a name there, doll face?" He asked her. Her eye twitched at the nickname but kept her thoughts to herself. "My name is Charlotte Rose Potter." She spoke. He rose an eyebrow at the name but shrugged it off.
"I'm mighty thankful that you saved my life back there, doll face. I wish I could stay but I gotta get back to those bastards and some other folks." He admitted. She looked at him with surprise. "There are other people out there?" She asked him. He nodded and then looked at her thoughtfully.
"How long you been out here by?" He asked her. She hummed at his question. "Well, I've been going by so far, but it's been a couple of months since I got separated from my best friends. Since this is pretty much everywhere, I don't even know if they're alive now, it would be nice to be surrounded by living people and not the kind that eats you." She admitted jokingly that Merle had scoffed in agreement.
He nodded in his decision then. "You can come with me then, join the group. You look like you can handle yourself against others, so I know you won't mind them." He told her. She looked at him weirdly. "Why would you do that? You don't even know me." She stated, stiff.
He rolled his eyes at her words. "Because you saved me when no one else woulda. I told you, I ain't my pa." He said, waiting for her to nod. Which she did and he sighed with relief. "Think you can eat some food? It's getting dark out, which means the dead are more active at night, it'll be easier to move about during daylight." She asked him. His stomach rumbled, giving her his answer. She smirked at him. "Come on then." She said, patting at the log next to her.
END CHAPTER
Dear Readers, I'm also thinking, wouldn't it be nice to have a beta writer to help with the chapters? I could do the writing, but they can help me with any errors, but also make sure I stick to the characters personalities? I feel like Merle will be a toughie. If anyone is interested, let me know through PM!
