8:49 P.M. – Location Unknown

"Gotcha, robe boy!" Gigi exclaimed as she launched herself like a springboard in order to pounce on a Collective goon, the very one they'd been chasing since they'd left Beverly Hills.

"You won't stop us," the goon cackled. "Not even your predecessors could stop us for very long."

"Then you obviously must not know us that well," Elizabeth retorted as she swung Thorn in an overhead strike that the goon swiftly dodged.

"You're slipping, miss Harbinger of Order," the goon taunted.

"Oh, then how come you've never heard of a distraction?" Raora giggled before lunging forward and headbutting the goon in the back, causing him to stumble right into Cecilia's line of site.

Cecilia grasped her spear and stabbed it towards the goon's hand, forcing him to drop the artifact he'd tried to pilfer.

"...this isn't over," the goon growled before vanishing in a burst of green light.

"What did he drop?" Gigi wondered.

Cecilia kneeled down to pick up the object in question, a strangely-shaped jewel radiating a dark red light.

"It looks like a gemstone from the Still World," Cecilia answered.

"...oh, jeez, do we have to go back there?" Gigi shuddered. "That place still creeps me out."

"I know it's not a pleasant place, but we have to, if the Collective's back at it again," Elizabeth answered. "We can't let anything from the Still World slip out into the real world, or it might advance the Collective's goal."

"...so back into hell we go, huh?" Raora quipped.

Elizabeth took the crystal and held it up, opening a shimmering portal of dark red light in front of the Arbiters.

"Let's get going, shall we?" Elizabeth stated. "The quicker we get this done, the sooner we can get back."

Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger are proud to present:
Totally Spies: The New Adventures
Episode 119: Clock Cleaners
Story Rated: T for Teen
Story Created: November 1st, 2024

Story Summary: The one-hundred and sixty-first co-op project between Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger, and episode one hundred and nineteen of our mission-based series Totally Spies: The New Adventures. When strange temporal disturbances start plaguing Beverly Hills, the spies quickly find out that this is the work of Tim Scam and Boogie Gus, who have teamed up to travel back in time and eliminate Mat at the "source": by going after his parents in the past. Naturally, that ain't going to fly with the spies, so with some assistance from Klee and Kana, they follow the villains back in time and try their best to kick them back to the present before the timeline is irreversibly fudged. Can the spies take care of Boogie Gus and Tim Scam before time runs out for Mat?

Author's Notes from Mat49324: Well, we got through Vicious Velocity, and the spies were tested for sure. Again, thanks to Doc Fossil for constructing that summary. We hope you're ready for this new project as well. As we hit the halfway point of season 10, it'll be close before the spies head to the beach house and begin another summer vacation. Oh, and we have also finished up our movie fic, but that will not come until season 10 is officially over. In the meantime, here's The Blue Time Ranger for anything he'd like to say.

Author's Notes from The Blue Time Ranger: We've hit the midway point of season ten, and we've got our first LAMOS-themed caper of the season! I feel like it's been a while since we've seen Klee and Kana (season seven, IIRC), and considering season nine's "future story" was very different from the norm, I felt like it was time for something more... "traditional", let's call it. We may learn more about Mat's past in Hawaii in this one, but that remains to be seen. All right, then, let's do the time warp again! ROLL IT!

And Now, the Obligatory Disclaimer: Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger do not own anything related to Totally Spies or any of its affiliations. It belongs solely to Marathon Media Group, Image Entertainment Corporation, Vincent Chalvon-Demersay, and David Michel. The only things of this story we DO own are any characters or locations created by us truly for the story. Any characters or things we don't own, we are just borrowing with no intent of copyright infringement, only for the entertainment of our readers. Besides, if we did own Totally Spies, which we don't, why would we be writing fiction on a fan site?

Act 1: Time Enough at Last

1:15 P.M. – Beverly Hills

"Okay, that place was actually pretty good," Sam giggled as she and Mat were walking back to Malibu University after enjoying a lunch date at a new restaurant that had opened recently downtown.

"I guess they definitely earned their reputation, huh?" Mat chuckled. "I didn't think such a new restaurant could get so popular so fast."

"Yeah, but their food is to die for," Sam laughed.

"We've gotta go there again sometime," Mat noted.

"Let's just hope the others aren't causing too much of a commotion back at the penthouse," Sam quipped. The rest of the spies had decided to introduce Michi to the wonders of Super Smash Bros., and considering how they all tended to get during play sessions, it was bound to get chaotic quickly.

"We can only hope Michi's not a total ham about it like Nick and May are," Mat answered.

But as Sam and Mat continued their walk back to Mali-U, they were suddenly stopped close to their destination when a strange black sphere of energy expanded outwards in front of them.

"...um, what the heck?" Mat stated.

"Wait a minute, I think I recognize that," Sam gasped.

And sure enough, the bubble expanded again before shattering into little sparkles of black-blue light to reveal Nick and Alex's future daughter Klee alongside Sam and Mat's future daughter Kana.

"K-Kana?" Sam gasped. "Is everything okay?"

"...whew, I think we made it just in time," Kana sighed in relief.

"Just barely," Klee answered, pointing to just behind Sam and Mat, where a statue in the nearby park suddenly glowed brightly before vanishing completely, as if it had never existed in the first place.

"...oh, that can't possibly be good," Mat quipped.

"And I think I know who's responsible for this," Sam growled when she made the connection.

"You'd be spot-on as usual, Sammy," RiCO stated from Sam's X-Powder. "We just got confirmation that both Boogie Gus and Tim Scam have escaped containment and apparently fled to the past."

"Which would explain what Klee and Kana are doing back here," Sam stated.

"Yeah, I just suddenly got those weird headaches again and I just knew something was wrong," Klee answered. Due to Klee's experience being flung through time a few years ago, she had developed the ability to sense when someone or something was trying to make drastic changes to the timeline, usually manifesting as a sudden headache.

"I've already contacted the others and told them about what's happening," RiCO stated. "The four of you just get to headquarters on the double!"

"We're already on our way," Mat responded as he and Sam activated their Jetpack Backpacks to take off into the sky towards W.O.O.H.P., Klee and Kana flying right behind them as more of the city began to disappear.

Once everybody was gathered at W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters, the spies, on Jerry's orders, immediately made a break for the Time Twister.

"It's been a while since we had to deal with these nutballs," Haruka noted. "I was just hoping it'd be longer..."

"RiCO, do you know exactly where Scam and Gus are headed back to?" Melissa asked.

"iCO and I have already downloaded the destination into the Time Twister," RiCO responded. RiCO had downloaded herself into Nick's X-Powder for the journey, and iCO had downloaded herself into Sam's X-Powder. "We can take care of the rest when you get there!"

As the spies all reached the room where the Time Twister resided, they noticed that Sortiliena was already there waiting for them.

"Right on time as always, Sortiliena," May chuckled.

"Hey, I'm always happy to knock some LAMOS around with all of you," Sortiliena quipped. "Now let's hurry and do the time warp before it's too late!"

Everyone shuffled onto the Time Twister's transport pad so that RiCO could activate it.

"Here we go," RiCO proclaimed. "Commencing time shift!"

The spies were all surrounded by a bluish-black bubble of light that eventually shattered, sending them backwards in time.

10:45 A.M. – Somewhere in the Past

"Oof, that was weird," Michi admitted after the spies all stepped off of the Time Twister.

"Time travel is pretty off-putting your first time," Alex quipped. "It gets easier as you do it more."

"I guess we probably won't be hearing from Jerry until we get back, huh?" Michi wondered.

"Yeah, our X-Powders aren't strong enough to cross through time unless we massively boost their signal strength, and even then it's kinda a crapshoot," Klee admitted. "Kana just barely got through to you that one time."

That was when Sortiliena finally noticed the newest addition to the group. "So, I don't think we've met before, have we?" Sortiliena asked.

"Yeah, I'm kinda a new addition to the group," Michi chuckled. "I don't remember my name, so I decided to just call myself Michi Mochievee until I do."

"And I'm Sortiliena Serlut, W.O.O.H.P. Combat Instructor and general hater of L.A.M.O.S., at your service!" Sortiliena proclaimed.

"Wait, hold on just a second," Mat gasped as he looked around in awe, apparently recognizing this location. "We're back in Hawaii, but not just any old place. If I remember their stories correctly, this is the neighborhood where my parents used to live before I was born!"

"Ooh, I think I'm starting to see their game now," May groaned.

"Then we'd better go and find those two clucks and kick them back to the present time before they cause any damage," Kana quipped.

"That might be a bit more troublesome than I initially believed," Sam admitted. "Without RiCO's superdrone, it might be more of a wild goose chase until we find those two."

"Let's just start looking, then," Klee responded, and everyone set out into Hawaii to find Scam and Boogie Gus.

"Of course I lived in this neighborhood when I was born," Mat remarked. "My parents' past is really fuzzy to me, though..."

"You don't know much about it?" Alex wondered.

"That's right," Mat replied. "They never talked much about it to me; all I knew is that my dad worked on cars, and my mom worked for the phone company before moving to clerking for the grade school I went to."

"Is there anything you do remember, bro?" Nick asked.

"If places to eat don't count, not really," Mat replied. "Some should still be around today..."

"This was the side of the island you lived?" Sam wondered.

"Yeah, the windward side of Oahu is one of the hot spots for places to eat," Mat remarked. "All I know about my folks is that they met in high school."

"Mat, for someone who lived here, you sure didn't get out much..." Clover commented.

"It's just how it is," Mat replied, knowing Clover wasn't wrong. "But you already know how I grew up with Motocross being a big part of my life, along with Jeopardy and other stuff."

"Plus, it's a different generation on top of that," Nick stated, understanding where Mat was coming from.

"The only thing I truly remember is how dirt cheap that gas was," Mat told them as they took to the sky to look for Scam and Boogie Gus.

"True," Haruka commented.

"And how simple life really was," Mat added.

The spies took to the sky from a safe distance while Nick used his psychic radar to try to pick up any signs of the two villains.

"By the way, guys, I hope you still remember what I said from the last Hawaii mission..." Mat pointed out.

"That word gets around fast?" Britney guessed.

"Exactly," Mat remarked. "I don't care if you're on Oahu, Maui, or Kauai... it's a small island, word gets around fast."

"Now I remember that for sure," Nozomi quipped.

"Duly noted," Sortiliena commented while Michi nodded.

With that, the spies kept searching high and low until they found Boogie Gus and Tim Scam in a bowling alley parking lot.

"One of my hangouts with my middle school P.E. class," Mat told them.

"What about your parents' hangouts?" Melissa asked.

"My folks only went wherever whenever they wanted," Mat remarked. "There's no way they can find my parents' house..."

"Well, let's stop them," Sam quipped and fired some shots down at them with her Laser Lipstick while they least expected things.

As expected, both Tim Scam and Boogie Gus were taken by surprise. To add to that, Mat also stopped his Jet Pack Backpack while Nick and May teamed up to fire shots at the villains' feet to make them stop in their tracks. Mat was able to fall flat on them.

"Perfect three-point landing," Dawn quipped.

"Yo, what gives you skanks the right to drop on us like anvils?!" Boogie Gus wheezed.

"Like you spodes don't know!" Mat shouted at them.

"I guess I should have figured you'd be following us back in time before long, huh?" Scam chuckled.

"Yeah, well, when you're messing with the timeline again, we kinda have to find you and stomp you," Haruka quipped.

"Well, I hope y'all little dullards are ready to get knocked around a bit, because we mean business this time," Boogie Gus laughed.

"Oh, is that right?" Klee retorted as she clenched her fists and let her aquatic-blue psychic aura flare to life around her.

"Oh, jeez, it's the future Jedi kid again!" Boogie Gus exclaimed.

"Yeah, I'm back again, and I'm gonna show you why we mean business, too," Klee giggled, pressing her glowing palms together.

As the aquatic-blue glow surrounding her hands began to get brighter, Klee wrenched her hands apart, creating a sphere of psychic energy between her palms. A second later, Klee tossed the sphere of energy into the air, where it bloomed into a four-leaf clover shape, then split apart into multiple smaller four-leaf clovers that surrounded Scam and Boogie Gus and began firing psychic bolts rapid-fire before flooring both villains with a final shockwave.

"Still got it," Klee quipped as she raised her hands to start firing a flurry of psychic bolts from her hands to make both villains 'dance'.

"Let's see if you still 'got it' when I wail on that other little chickadee's tucus!" Boogie Gus retorted as he weaved through Klee's shots and moved to grab Kana.

"Hands off our daughter, you spode!" Sam growled.

"Try and stop me!" Boogie Gus laughed.

Once he got within range, Boogie Gus lunged forward, expecting to grab Kana and take her hostage.

What actually happened, though, was Kana ducking under Boogie Gus' grab, using her own X-Powder to change into her own spy suit, one that resembled a cross between Sam's green spy catsuit and Mat's rider jacket, before jumping back up to headbutt Boogie Gus in the chest and send him reeling.

Not intending to waste her opportunity, Kana rushed forward and started laying into Boogie Gus with multiple different punches and kicks before finishing her combo by way of sending Boogie Gus sailing through the air and into a nearby bush with an Ultra High Pressure Water Cannon.

"No touchie-touchie on my watch," Kana taunted.

Kana then looked back at Sam and Mat, noticing the proud smiles on her face.

"You probably figured it out already, but yeah, Kana's an officially-licensed spy now!" Klee laughed.

"Aw, Klee, why'd you cut in?" Kana groaned. "I wanted to tell them!"

"Hey, like I said, they figured it out already," Klee quipped. "They saw you change outfits and everything."

"Oh, goody, another spy to deal with," Scam groaned before quickly readopting his typical smug grin. "Then again, I could turn this to my advantage, if you catch my drift..."

"You stay the hell away from my daughter, Scam," Sam snarled.

"She could become our daughter with the right persuasion," Scam cackled, only to find himself falling through the ground, only to fall out of the air and collide with the ground again, courtesy of a pair of portals from Michi.

"Okay, you're gonna stop being a creep-a-tronic right now, buddy," Michi retorted.

"Oh, and what will you do about if I don't?" Scam taunted.

In response, Klee simply raised her hands.

"I'm very glad you asked that, you nutball."

Klee didn't give Scam a chance to retreat before drawing her right index finger across herself twice, then slashing her hand through that light to send a trio of psychic energy blades careening into Scam and sending him tumbling backwards.

"So, the little funkalicious Jedi girl learned some new moves since last time," Boogie Gus conceded. "That doesn't mean you're gonna get the upper hand this time!"

"I'd savor your remaining time with that little Hawaiian dish, Samantha," Scam chuckled, savoring the look of rage on Sam's expression. "Because when we're done, he won't be an obstacle to our glorious love any longer."

Before Sam could go off, though, both villains retreated.

"...yikes, it's good to know time hasn't really changed that guy," Klee sighed. "He's just as insufferable in my time, too."

"By the way, how has everyone been doing since the last time we jumped to the future?" Alex wondered. "After all, that last time had a bit of an undertone to everything before we fixed it..."

"Thankfully, we've moved on from that embarrassing little debacle and are back to busting bad guys left and right while making sure Anya and Molly don't get too rambunctious," Klee chuckled.

"I finally passed my spy exam and became an officially-licensed W.O.O.H.P. spy, like I showed you earlier," Kana explained. "I had actually just finished my first full mission about a day before Klee realized something in the past was wrong."

"Oh, yeah, that mission was a hoot," Klee giggled. "Weren't we chasing that dumb Sebastian guy up and down the city?"

"Wait, Sebastian's still kicking in your time?" Clover gasped. "He must be ancient by then!"

"Probably the benefits of having a partly cybernetic body," Kana answered.

"Well, Mat, I think this neighborhood would probably be more familiar to you than to us, and considering we're in the past, I'm sure there's a lot of landmarks that you still remember," Sortiliena quipped. "So how about you take the lead and help us search for those two freaks?"

"Roger that," Mat responded as he began to move around the town he'd grown up in, the other spies following closely behind.

Nick still used his psychic radar to pinpoint where Tim Scam and Boogie Gus got to.

"And what I said earlier still stands, by the way," Mat pointed out.

"Maybe that should help us somewhat," Haruka deduced.

"One can hope," May remarked.

The spies could see a lot of grocery stores, hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and some shopping spots.

"Don't count on me to know which of these restaurants are still open in today's society," Mat told the spies.

"We'll keep that in mind," Alex stated, taking some mental notes.

"But there are some historic landmarks if you remember the last mission here..." Mat added.

Sam, Clover, and (especially) Alex took note of that after the mission with Kyle Katz.

"The beaches certainly don't close down, though," Nick remarked.

"Absolutely," Mat stated.

"Dad took us here after a mission in the future," Kana commented. "And he was just as knowledgeable about much of this island."

Sam looked on, very proud of Kana becoming a certified spy for W.O.O.H.P. just yesterday.

"Kana's a fast learner, Sam," Klee quipped, noticing.

"Sounds like you, does it, Mom?" Kana giggled.

"That is where you get it from, right?" Sam chuckled.

"Don't you know any other stuff in your community, Mat?" Melissa wondered. "Maybe we might look into them if we ever get a Hawaii vacation again..."

"Well, where we were at was my local bowling alley, but I've heard their future is in limbo," Mat started.

The spies then took to the sky from a safe distance to see where the two villains got to.

"What about where you rode at, Mat?" Nick asked.

"That's the North Shore of Oahu, specifically Kahuku Motocross Park," Mat replied. "I've been all over the island of Oahu, and I do know a couple of spots on the Big Island from my childhood."

"Well, it's something," Britney commented.

"There's beach houses there, but because of so much erosion, living there isn't really worth it," Mat remarked.

"I've picked them up near the beach," Nick told the others.

They then took to that nearest beach, which was called Lanikai Beach, according to Mat.

"You come here early enough in the morning, there's groups of people who kayak out to the two other islands off in the distance called the Mokulua Islands," Mat added. "Weekends can be VERY crowded."

"If you picked up their thoughts at the beach, they didn't do a very good job trying to find another place to hide," May told Nick.

"Unless this is some sort of trick..." Sortiliena quipped.

"Only one way to find out," Blaine remarked.

The spies then set out, but they were immediately taken by surprise.

"So, the crazy cats fell into our trap this time..." Boogie Gus sneered.

"Try and escape this one, if you think you can," Scam laughed.

The sand underneath the spies began to swirl around them, forming a makeshift whirlpool that trapped them.

"Oh, hell no, I am not dying by quicksand today, or ever!" Clover exclaimed.

"Then allow me to give us an express route out of this death trap," Michi chuckled as she aimed her hand down, creating a large portal right underneath them that everybody fell into, momentarily disappearing from sight.

"W-Where'd those crazy cats vanish to?!" Boogie Gus exclaimed in disbelief. "Nobody told me the chick with the Frankenstein stitch could do that!"

"You seriously didn't see me getting thrown through those portals of hers?" Scam wondered.

"Well, excuse me if I was trying not to get my booty slapped by these little nutmegs!" Boogie Gus retorted.

As both villains argued, another green portal opened in front of them, and Sortiliena came jumping out of it to deliver a swift flying kick that knocked both baddies down, the rest of the spies exiting the portal soon after.

"Should have kept your eye on the birdie," Michi taunted.

Klee and Kana both went on the offensive, Klee taking to the air to fire a flurry of psychic bolts from above to make both villains 'dance' long enough for Kana to extend her arms out and knock them both down with a double clothesline.

"Little girl, you're beginning to vex me," Scam growled.

"Good, that means I'm doing my job right," Kana chuckled as she lunged towards Scam and backhanded him in the face.

"My dude, you're getting your butt handed to ya by a kid!" Boogie Gus exclaimed.

"Yeah, not exactly a good look for you," Haruka taunted.

"We'll see how long you're laughing when I use this on ya!" Boogie Gus laughed as he brought out his 80fier and aimed it right for Kana, only for Klee to blast it right out of his hands.

"Please keep all contraband items in your seat at all times," Klee teased as she blew both Scam and Boogie Gus away with a psychic pulse.

May took a step back before throwing her anchor like a javelin to floor both villains quickly.

"You little punks need to stop ruining our fun!" Boogie Gus shouted.

"Yeah, well, when your idea of 'fun' involves going back time and trying to literally erase me from existence, we're obviously going to be against that kind of fun," Mat growled. "Now you stay the hell away from my parents if you know what's good for you."

"Oh, but we're far from done, little man," Scam taunted. "Why don't you play with some of our friends for a time while we go and take care of business?"

With that, Scam and Boogie Gus retreated, leaving behind a crowd of henchmen for the spies to deal with.

"Ugh, those cowards totally would," Alex groaned.

"Well, then, mom, let's clean up the riff-raff and get back to chasing those two," Klee quipped.

"Now you're talking my lingo, Klee!" Nick proclaimed as he fired a Final Shine Attack and swept it along the sands to knock down a bunch of mooks at once.

Melissa aimed a Helicopter Hand Fan and activated it to blow back another bunch of mooks, only for a group of them to duck around her and start running towards Michi.

"You look like you're easy pickings, little stitch girl," one mook cackled.

"Did Scam seriously not brief you on what I can do?" Michi chuckled. "Seriously, get a new act, you fools."

The mooks attempted to dogpile on Michi, but she simply opened a portal underneath them so they all fell into it.

"I tried to warn them," Michi quipped.

A few more mooks attempted to pincer them in, only for Sortiliena to knock one off of his feet with a leg sweep, grab him by the legs, and start spinning him around, using him as a makeshift club to bonk the other mooks around them.

"Wanna keep trying me?" Sortiliena taunted.

The few remaining mooks decided that it wasn't worth it and beat a hasty retreat.

"...yeah, that's what I thought," Sortiliena chuckled.

"Man, I should have figured these guys would have a petty reason for jumping back time, but trying to erase Mat from existence is a whole new low, honestly," Alex admitted. "And I didn't think there was much lower for slimeballs like Scam to go."

"You know how that works, Alex," Nick quipped. "Every time we think they've hit rock bottom, some other baddie throws them a shovel."

"Regardless, we'd better keep up with them," Sam stated. "I shudder to think about what kind of sick plans they've got up their sleeve just to get their way..."

"Maybe if I can remember some more of what was still here back in the day, I might be able to figure out a pattern," Mat quipped.

"Well, go on and work your 'Hawaii magic', Mat," May responded. "We're right behind you."

Mat continued to lead the way through the memories of his past, the spies all following.

The spies took to the sky once again with Mat looking left and right and Nick using his psychic radar.

"Let's hope those spodes didn't get far..." Alex stated.

"And that they don't find your house, Mat," Melissa added.

"My own house is about five to ten minutes away from where we are now," Mat told them. "But Scam and Boogie Gus don't know that, so I say we use that to our advantage..."

"You certainly wouldn't tell a perp your home address unless you're asking for trouble after all," Sam deduced.

"Plus, if you remembered, I told you guys I never went anywhere except my grandparents' houses after school because nobody invited me anywhere," Mat reminded them.

"You're lucky you still have your grandparents, man," Nick remarked. "I've just got my grandfather left, since my grandma passed away a couple months before I joined W.O.O.H.P.."

"Besides, family's everything in Hawaii," Mat pointed out. "Plus, all my folks were sharp as ever. What I wouldn't give to see them still that way..."

Nick could only agree there, and so could Haruka since family lifestyle in Hawaii was similar (if not identical) to Japan.

"Also, what I wouldn't give to see projects done in a timely manner, too," Mat added on.

The spies were surprised at that.

"Anyway, any sign of our villains?" Bridget wondered.

"I'm not picking them up yet," Nick told them.

"I do know quite a few landmarks," Mat pointed out. "But don't expect me to know ALL of them..."

"So, where were we the last time we came here because of Kyle Katz?" Dawn asked.

"That's the town-side of Oahu," Mat answered. "The State Capitol, Iolani Palace, Bishop Museum... that's all around the Chinatown section. Seems like it's 'live there at your own risk' as of late."

"Crazy people, you're saying?" Clover wondered.

"Some of them, yeah, and you don't even want to know the things those people do," Mat assured.

"I shudder to think of that list," Blaine commented.

"Technically, the whole island is the city of Honolulu," Mat explained. "But of course, there's a west side and an east side and a north and south shore side, too on every island."

"Interesting to know," Britney remarked.

"I think I'm picking them up somewhere," Nick then told everyone as they neared the mountains.

"Kualoa Ranch," Mat stated.

"Another landmark of yours," Sam presumed.

"From years of riding to the North Shore to ride my bike," Mat told them.

"I heard they filmed Jurassic Park there, too," Nick stated.

"Yeah, somehow I think I remember hearing that before, too," Bridget commented.

"And I see those spodes right up there!" Klee exclaimed and pointed northward.

"Then allow me to get this next little skirmish rolling," Nick quipped as he raised his hand to catch both Boogie Gus and Scam in his telekinetic hold and fling them away from a potential hostage situation, right into the nearby bushes.

"H-Hey, that was very square, you little punks!" Boogie Gus sputtered.

"Oh, get used to it," Sortiliena taunted as she entered a fighting stance.

That was when Sortiliena noticed that Kana was staring at her in a slightly awe-struck manner. "...is there something on my face?" Sortiliena asked.

"I just... it's hard to believe that I'm actually fighting alongside my own boss," Kana giggled. After all, the future version of Sortiliena was now the one in charge of W.O.O.H.P. after Future Jerry had retired.

"Then how about we both kick some butt together?" Sortiliena chuckled.

"Ooh, I'd be delighted," Kana laughed.

"Oh, really? And what does the pre-teen think she can do to stop the likes of me?" Scam laughed.

Kana would quickly shut Scam up by leaping forward and driving him down to the ground with an overhead snap kick to the back of his head, followed up by Sortiliena sliding forward to kick Scam in the face.

Boogie Gus tried to shoot both of them with his 80fier, only for Nick to blast it out of his hands, telekinetically yank it into the air, and destroy it with a Final Shine Attack.

"What part of 'the 80s are dead' isn't sinking in for you, Gus?" Nick taunted.

"As long as I keep its spirit in my heart, the 80s will never truly die!" Boogie Gus retorted as he started rapid-firing two 80fiers at once.

"Okay, this is really starting to get old!" Haruka shouted as she threw a pair of Incendiary Earrings towards Scam to get him off of Kana's back.

"But you know what never gets old?" May quipped. "That's right, a good ol' anchor! Now eat it, you bastards!"

While Scam and Boogie Gus attempted to pincer Kana in, Sortiliena did a jumping spin kick to force them both away, and this allowed May to toss her anchor like a javelin and knock both villains down.

Though they didn't stay down for long, as Nick jumped in and used a Zero Gravity to send both of them helplessly floating into the air.

Klee took point and used another Sparks 'n Splash to blast Scam and Boogie Gus while they couldn't defend themselves, and Kana continued the assault by grabbing both villains by their ankles and smashing them down into the ground.

"Dad taught me that one," Kana giggled.

"Sorry, but we don't have time for any further 'tricks'," Scam chuckled as he picked himself back up. "We really must be heading off now, and..."

"Oh, no, you're not going anywhere," Bridget retorted. "Sonic Mode, online!"

Immediately after she'd transformed, Bridget started running towards Nick, her intent obvious.

"You wanna drive our point home, Nick?" Bridget laughed.

"Oh, you'd better believe it," Nick quipped as he and Bridget joined hands. "Let's show these nutballs our brand spankin' new Purple Comet Attack!"

Klee used a quick psychic wave to throw off both villains so that Bridget could get in close and use her momentum to uppercut Boogie Gus into the air.

Nick followed by leapfrogging off of Bridget's shoulders and knocking Scam back to the ground with an overhead fist slam.

Before Boogie Gus could even bounce, Bridget sped by him, causing him to spin around in place for a couple seconds.

Nick lunged forward to kick Scam in the back and send him stumbling forward into Boogie Gus' path.

Nick and Bridget ran to either side of both villains and started attacking in perfect sync with each other, landing four direct punches each before snap-kicking the baddies into the air.

"Ready for the finale?!" Bridget shouted.

Just as Scam and Boogie Gus started falling back down, Nick and Bridget charged, striking them rapid-fire from multiple angles and making it look like they was being pinballed through the air.

For the final blow, Nick and Bridget joined hands once again, then flew swiftly towards Scam and Boogie Gus, using their joined hands to clothesline her and send both villains crashing back into the ground.

"Betcha didn't like that, huh?" Bridget taunted.

"Dang it, we're still getting beaned here, Scam!" Boogie Gus groaned.

"Patience, my fellow traveler," Scam quipped. "After all, we have all the time in the world, don't we?"

Boogie Gus nodded and both villains laughed in an evil way before making their retreat.

"I'm starting to really get sick of this little runaround, you know," Sam groaned.

"I'm getting sick of having to deal with Scam still trying to take you from me, especially in ways like this," Mat quipped.

"Yeah, that Scam guy seems like an especially major breed of scumbag from the way you've all been talking about him," Michi noted.

"Oh, trust me, Michi, Scam is right up there in our 'top rat bastards in our gallery of villains' list," Nick chuckled.

"And boy, is that list long," May laughed.

"I've got a feeling we're getting close to unraveling something, though," Sortiliena quipped. "Let's keep after them. We'll get our chance to kick their keester back to the present day before too long."

"Sounds like a plan to me, Sortiliena," Melissa replied. "Let's move out, everyone!"

The spies, followed by Michi, Klee and Kana, all set out further into Kualoa Ranch to find Scam and Boogie Gus before they had the chance to futz up the timeline any further than they already had.

To be continued...

Next time...

Britney: Those two have to be around here somewhere, right?

Haruka: I hope so.

Sam: Do you recognize this part of the ranch, too, Mat?

Melissa: I hate to break up the trip down memory lane, but here they come!

Boogie Gus: You little nutmegs shouldn't have followed us here, ya know.

Michi: Oh, please. I have missing memories and even I know that line's been overused to heck and back.

Alex: Why don't you just give it up already?!

Scam: Now, now, Alex, you know I can't do that until that little Hawaiian dish is erased from the timeline and Sam is molded into my woman.

Nick: You've got some nerve saying things like that, Scam, especially with the way you phrased that.

Mat: Let me take a crack at him, Nick. I'll make him regret ever underestimating me, next time on Totally Spies: Clock Cleaners, "Checkered Past"!

Alex: Can I say that I am incredibly happy that we're shooting this episode mostly on location in Hawaii?

May: Yeah, you guys should have seen her when the travel department mentioned that little tidbit.
