Chapter 1: Here We Go!

'Is it just me or has the world just been getting a lot crazier lately? Let's back it up just a bit, it's the year 2008 right now and for some reason the world's been going downhill. I think we're in a dumpster fire, Sahara desert got flooded with water, the Amazon Rainforest has been getting hit by lightning with no rain, Mount Everest got slightly reduced and is apparently "inhabited" but the best thing out of all of this…America got snow!'

Around a lake in some woods inside of New York State a boy runs out of one of many cabins that were set up playing in the snow. He has ebony skin, cornrows, and is wearing a black and red basketball jersey with the number "10" on it, brown cargo shorts, sneakers, and orange goggles around his head.

'Hey! The name is Tyler Kingston! And last night it snowed two weeks into summer camp! I'm not the only one here, don't worry! There's Serena Cortés, my best friend since grade school! She can be rude or sweet!"

A girl runs out behind Tyler, she has short red hair tucked underneath a red beanie, gray overalls with rips around the knees, and a red t-shirt. "Hey Ty! Wait up for me you dofuss before I punch you!"

'Than there's cool boy Max Jordans! Think he's better than everything!'

A boy walks out of a different cabin, has spiky blonde hair, wearing a black sleeveless hoodie, and faded blue jeans that are ripped. Around his neck is a silver chain, and has blue fingerless gloves.

"Well this is lame, could have gone to grandma's house in Canada to see this…" Max mumbles to himself.

'Then there's the man Issac Park! He really should have went to summer camp…I guess his parents wanted him to be outside more, but he's a chill lil guy!'

A boy from behind Max appears, a lil bit shorter than him, has on an orange hooded jacket, purple shirt, and olive green shorts. His hair is a cedar wood color, and he's holding on to a MacBook.

"Still not working? I bought a whole mobile Wi-Fi service for what?!" Isaac shouts while trying to make his laptop work.

'There's also Bella Thatcher, can't forget the rich girl, wanna bet you know her favorite color?'

A girl comes out of a different cabin again, she's wearing a pink t-shirt with a floral design, and white boot cut jeans, with a pink sun hat on her head. She has strawberry blonde hair tucked underneath the pink sun hat and a big white satchel.

"Wahhh! I didn't pack for the winter! I hate this stupid shitty camp!" Bella cries stomping in the snow.

'Moving on from that meltdown! We got good ol Wesley Chen! Some of us call him West! He…really should have stayed home, I'll keep it a buck.'

A tall lean boy comes out of a cabin next to Bella's, he has black hair that is neatly parted in the middle, blue frame glasses, a white buttoned up short sleeve shirt over a gray long sleeve, khaki shorts, sneakers, and a big white emergency bag thrown across his hip.

"Great, I went from scared of catching a summer cold to I can probably catch a flu in this horrible weather! What is this?!" Wesley cries out in a panic.

'Last but definitely not least we have Ollie White, he's Max's dopey little brother!'

A little boy runs out of Max's cabin as quickly as he can, wearing a green hoodie, a backwards yellow cap with a truffle of blonde hair sticking out, tan cargo shorts, sneakers, and a yellow backpack.

"I'm gonna build the world's biggest snowman!" Ollie shouts. He runs out and jumps around through the snow.

"Wait! Ollie be careful!" Max shouts as he gives chase.

"Aw man, where is everyone? Are we the only ones here?" Wesley asks as he sees no other campers.

"Actually where are your bunk mates Wesley?" Isaac asks as he realizes everyone wasn't in his cabin either.

"I think when the storm hit last night everybody went to other places for shelter!" Tyler shouts as he and Serena have a snowball fight.

"Think we should look for a counselor!" Serena shouts from behind a tree as one of her snowballs hit Tyler dead in the face:

"Yes! I want to go home now! Can't have stupid camp when there's snow!" Bella shouts sitting on a frozen bench before she shivers.

"Nah, I think they'll come looking for us, let's just have fun instead!" Tyler shouts as he takes a shot at Isaac and Wesley to get them to join in.

The two go to join but as they do the sky starts to light up and all the kids gather around. They stare into the sky, and see a rainbow of every kind of color swirl like a wave in the cloudy snowy sky. They just look in awe as if it's the most amazing thing they have ever seen.

"Yo, ain't that the thing you see in Antarctica?" Trey says scratching his head.

"You mean the A-Aurora Borealis? B-But we are in New York, Tyler!" Issac shouts in confusion as if he's a machine malfunctioning.

"Don't short circuit Issac," Max remarks.

"It's so cool!" Ollie says in awe.

"Anybody have any shades? It's a little too bright," Wesley asks as he shields his eyes.

"If only daddy didn't take my phone this would be a cool picture to post…" Bella sighs.

"I think that should be your last problem Bells," Serena smiles while patting her on the back.

As Tyler stares into the sky something weird starts to happen, he zones out from the laughter and chatter of everyone else enjoying the sky. He looks behind the colorful lights and sees something concerning. The gray clouds in the sky start swirling together like a spiral. A spiral that's going inward, and he sees a golden glow smacked dead in the center of it. Out of it appeared seven orbs of light and the next thing he noticed…they started raining down.

"EVERYONE GET THE HELL DOWN!" Tyler shouts as he grabs Serena and hits the ground behind a tree, Max grabs Ollie and rushes inside of Cabin, Isaac gets underneath a picnic table, and Wesley yanks Bella away as they take cover behind a giant rock covered in snow. The seven orbs strike the ground with a small explosion and shake the land but it causes no damage. All of the kids wait for the smoke to clear and see the orbs fall and create a crater each one forming a circle forcing the kids to form a circle as they look down the small holes.

The glowing orbs fly out slowly, shocking the kids as each one of them grabs one, afterwards a device is in their hands, it's a round device that looks like it goes on their wrists. With slits on the side like you plug something into it.

"What are these? Games?" Serena asks as she messes with hers and puts it on her wrist.

"I'm positive that games don't fall out of the sky!" Wesley screams not wanting his but not getting rid of it either.

"I believe they are some sort of miniature remote digital apparatus," Issac states examining his.

"Great, now say it in English" Max spits out in confusion.

"Anybody's come in pink?" Bella says looking at hers.

"They're all the same color Bella," Ollie tells her with a giggle.

"Guys, it's not over!" Trey shouts after putting his own and they all look in front of them this time.

The lake that the cabins were around starts to move crazy, and it shoots up into the air. The swirling clouds start to open bigger like a deep tunnel. The water from the lake turns into a gate in the sky pulling in the kids one by one. Sending them through the clouds that now look like some kind of portal. Tyler is the last one to get picked up and is trying his hardest to fight back but after he is consumed by the portal…everything goes silent and the real world returns to normal.

Tyler eventually wakes up, he didn't even notice that he blacked out. As he opens his eyes he sees a pink creature sitting on his chest with a toothy smile.

"Ty! You're awake! You're awake! You're awake!" The creature cheers with joy.

"Ahhhh! What the hell are you!" Tyler jumps up sending the creature flying but it bounces off of a tree and back to Tyler laughing.

"Hi there Tyler! I'm Koromon! It's so nice to meet you!" Koromon says as he jumps up and wraps his antennas around Tyler's head and slams his head into Ty not letting go.

Tyler pulls him off saying, "Look here little guy I do not know you like that, haha!"

"Sorry, I'm just finally getting to meet you!" Koromon cheers as he jumps up and down.

"How do you know my name? Exactly where are we?" Tyler asks, trying to get info.

"Huh? I actually don't know how I know you! But look, we are in the digi world!" Koromon brings him to the edge of a cliff, and Tyler sees a world full of monsters, weird landscapes like islands in the sky, and plants he has never even heard of.

"Well…we're not home anymore huh?" Tyler says as he's in shock.

'We were far from home, and little did me and my soon to be closest friends know. It was only the start of something unimaginable!'

The Digivice I'm describing is the V-Tamer one but with a slit on the side for something like a hard drive.

Tyler, Max, and Serena: 12

Issac: 11

Wesley and Bella: 13

Ollie: 10 (just turned 10)

If you couldn't tell because I suck at description, Tyler is African American, Serena is Latina descent, Issac is Korean American descent.
