59. Chapter 58

Chapter 58: CraftyCorn Vs Sneaky Sal (Seraphina): The Emotional Canvas

In their new appearances, CatNap, DogDay and CraftyCorn head back to the real world and return to The Pillar Of Light's flat stone platform.

"Ok, we're back here!" CatNap said, "Where's that someone GuardianDove told us about?!"

A pink pillar of light shined down close to them, a mile away.

"Over there!" CraftyCorn replied, "And it's near my zen garden!"

Bubba meanwhile saw the pink pillar of light with the rest of his friends. KickinChicken looked at Bubba, confused.

"First a white pillar of light and now another pink one?" He said to him, "The hell's going on?"

"I… I don't know." Bubba said, "But whatever is happening over there, someone's gotta get rid of that pink pillar of light."

Then, they saw masked critters in red and black chase down innocent critters.

"Might as well help out the local folks around here first!" PickyPiggy said,

"Might as well, indeed." Bubba said as he led the way, "Follow me, everyone!"

CatNap, DogDay and CraftyCorn meanwhile head to the pink pillar of light and notice that a Dark Critter was there, ready and waiting for them. It was Seraphina as she was breathing through the mask full of red smoke.

"Well… Look at what the cat dragged in." She said to them, "And look at what the dog brought back as the ball I fetched…"

CraftyCorn then grew serious.

"Where's Morris?" She asked Seraphina,

"Revenge on Morris, huh?" Seraphina asked, "For taking you away from your friends after a year?"

"Yes."

"He's nowhere to be seen around here. If you want to see him, you must duel me!"

"Or how about this? I'll take care of you as a way of revenge on Morris since I know you're working with him."

"Oh really?"

"Yes, I'm serious this time. I'm not the shy CraftyCorn I once was one year ago, hell even after two years ago. This new CraftyCorn is gonna get back what she owes, and that's her life back!"

CraftyCorn then turned to CatNap and DogDay.

"You two take care of Morris." She said to them, "This one is mine."

"Why us?" DogDay wondered, "Didn't he take a year of your life away from us?"

"Yes, but… You guys… You've been through a lot without me, worse than me, and it's all because of him.

"...Ok, we understand." CatNap said as he, DogDay and CraftyCorn hugged each other again, "Good luck."

"Same for you guys. We must save our homes, our world from this wretched hour."

"We will do our best, Crafty!" DogDay said, "Show that masked critter who she's dealing with!"

"Same for Morris!"

CatNap and DogDay looked at each other again and then looked at the final pink pillar of light far away from them.

"Let's do this, buddy." DogDay said to CatNap, "For us, and Crittopia."

"Right." CatNap said,

The two critters ran off to the North to the final pink pillar of light as CraftyCorn stayed with Seraphina and activated her Duel Disk that she obtained again from GuardianDove.

"You just made a big mistake." Seraphina said as she activated her Duel Disk, "And that will be your last mistake, trust me. Morris may have separated you from your friends, but I'll make sure to separate you from life!"

"That won't happen." CraftyCorn said as she walked back to have some space for a field, "So let's do this!"

"Duel!" Both critters shouted to start the duel,

Turn 1.

CraftyCorn: 4000

Seraphina: 4000

Seraphina went first as she played a Field Spell.

"To start this duel, I activate my Field Spell, Ogdoadic Origin!" She said,

"Ogdoadic?" CraftyCorn wondered, "This is different…"

Seraphina then played a Spell Card.

"Next I play the Spell Card, Snake Rain!" She said as she discarded a Quick-Play Spell called Ogdoadic Daybreak, "By discarding 1 card, I can send 4 Reptile-type monsters from my Deck to my Graveyard!"

"4?!" CraftyCorn said, "And they're Reptiles?!"

"Correct! So you better keep track of who I send to the Graveyard!"

Seraphina then sends the following monsters from her Deck to her Graveyard: Nunu, The Ogdoadic Remnant, Keurse, The Ogdoadic Light, Aleritt, The Ogdoadic Dark and Ogdoabyss, The Ogdoadic Overlord.

"Now the effect of my Nunu, The Ogdoadic Remnant will now activate from my Graveyard!" Seraphina continued, "When I control no monsters, I can Special Summon Nunu from my Graveyard in Defense Position!"

Nunu, The Ogdoadic Remnant was Special Summoned in Defense Position with 0 DEF Points.

"It… only has 0 DEF Points?" CraftyCorn said, confused,

"Yes, although it does, I will use Nunu for something else." Seraphina said, "Now I'll Normal Summon Nauya, The Ogdoadic Remnant in Attack Position!"

Seraphina then Normal Summoned from her hand, Nauya, The Ogdoadic Remnant in Attack Position with 0 ATK Points.

"And when Nauya is Normal Summoned, I can add an Ogdoadic Spell or Trap from my Deck to my Hand." Seraphina said as she does so by adding the Trap Card, Ogdoadic Calling and then placed her free arm out, "Now, I overlay my Nunu and Nauya together to build the Overlay Network!"

"Oh!" CraftyCorn said, shocked, "An Xyz Summon?!"

"That's right! This will be a treat for my reptiles!"

Nauya and Nunu were used as Xyz Materials to build the Overlay Network.

"I Xyz Summon, Rank 4, King Of The Feral Imps!" Seraphina shouted,

King Of The Feral Imps was Xyz Summoned in Attack Position with 2300 ATK Points.

"Now for the effect of my King Of The Feral Imps!" Seraphina said as she detached Nunu from King Of The Feral Imps and sent it to the Graveyard, "By detaching an Xyz Material, I can add a Reptile-type monster from my Deck to my Hand."

"Wait, you can easily search for a Reptile-type monster after summoning that Xyz Monster?" CraftyCorn said, shocked,

"...Yes. Please, keep your mouth shut."

Seraphina then adds the monster, Zohah, The Ogdoadic Boundless, from her Deck to her Hand through the effect of King Of The Feral Imps. She then sets 2 cards in her Spell/Trap Zone.

"Now I set 2 and end my turn." Seraphina said, "Go ahead and start your turn."

CraftyCorn took a deep breath as she placed her free hoof on the top card of her deck.

"Ok… This is the first time I'm dueling in almost a year." She said as she closed her eyes, "So you better have faith in me, deck!"

CraftyCorn then draws to start Turn 2. She looked at the card she drew as it was familiar to her a year ago.

"This card…" She said, "It's familiar to me. It didn't help me before, but now, it will!"

CraftyCorn then grew serious as she played the card she drew, which was also a Field Spell.

"I activate MY Field Spell now, The Weather Forecast!" She shouted as it was activated, "And one of my favorites!"

Seraphina was surprised as a colorful rainbow out of glittering paint was revealed over her and CraftyCorn.

"When activated, I can place 1 "The Weather" Spell or Trap from my Deck in my Spell Trap zone, face-up!" CraftyCorn said,

CraftyCorn then searches for that particular card.

"Huh…" She wondered, "All these are important, but which one do I want in this place I'm in?"

CraftyCorn then placed the Continuous Trap, The Weather Rainbowed Canvas face-up in her Spell/Trap Zone from her Deck through the effect of her Field Spell, The Weather Forecast. CraftyCorn then revealed a monster in her hand,

"I'll then Normal Summon The Weather Painter Snow from my Hand in Attack Position!" She continued,

The Weather Painter Snow was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 0 ATK Points.

"0 ATK Points?" Seraphina said, confused, "Please, my King Of The Feral Imps can take that little gremlin down."

"She's not a gremlin!" CraftyCorn said, "She's an artist with an effect upon being Normal Summoned! I can place another "The Weather" Spell/Trap from my Deck to my field, face-up!"

CraftyCorn then placed another face-up Continuous Trap in her Spell and Trap Zone from her Deck, this time it was The Weather Thundery Canvas.

"And since Snow is in the same column as The Weather Rainbowed Canvas, I can use the effect of The Weather Rainbowed Canvas and treat it as Snow's effect!" CraftyCorn said as The Weather Painter Snow was banished,

"What the?" Seraphina wondered, "You just banished your only weak monster."

"She's not weak, she just plays along in painting this canvas that will help me win this duel! Now, since Snow was banished, I can Special Summon another "The Weather" monster from my Deck!"

"And who will that be this time?"

CraftyCorn then revealed another monster from her Deck.

"And that will be The Weather Painter Rain!" She said,

In the same column as The Weather Thundery Canvas, The Weather Painter Rain was Special Summoned in Attack Position with 1200 ATK Points.

"Now for Rain's effect!" CraftyCorn said, "Like Snow, but when she's Special Summon, I can place another "The Weather" Spell or Trap from my Deck to my side of the field, face-up!"

"Another canvas?!" Seraphina shouted, "This is getting ridiculous!"

CraftyCorn then placed a Continuous Spell known as, The Weather Rainy Canvas from her Deck to her field, face-up.

"And that will be all, because it's time to paint your monsters to nothing but scribble!" CraftyCorn said, "...Whatever that means, but who cares! Battle!"

The Battle Phase started.

"You're attacking my King Of The Feral Imps?!" Seraphina said, "That's monster suicide!"

"You better see what I'm about to do to find out!" CraftyCorn said as she placed her free arm out, "The Weather Painter Rain will now attack your King Of The Feral Imps!"

The Weather Painter Rain then went to attack King Of The Feral Imps.

"Now, this will trigger the effect of my Continuous Trap in the same column as Rain, The Weather Thundery Canvas!" CraftyCorn said, "When my monster battles your's, I can banish my monster to return your monster back to where it originally came from!"

"Huh?!" Seraphina said, shocked,

The Weather Painter Rain was banished as King Of The Feral Imps was returned to the Extra Deck. Nauya, The Ogdoadic Remnant was sent to the Graveyard ever since it was Xyz Material for King Of The Feral Imps.

"Impossible…" Seraphina said, "There's no way…"

"Now before I end my turn, through The Weather Forecast's effect, I can Normal Summon an additional "The Weather" monster from my Hand." CraftyCorn said as she Normal Summoned again, "This time, it will be The Weather Painter Thunder!"

The Weather Painter Thunder was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 1700 ATK Points and in the same column as The Weather Rainbowed Canvas.

"Now for Thunder's effect!" CraftyCorn said, "By sending a face-up Continuous Spell or Trap I control to the Graveyard, I can place another "The Weather" Spell Trap from my Deck to my field, face-up"

CraftyCorn then sends The Weather Rainbowed Canvas from her field to the Graveyard as she then places in the same column as The Weather Painter Thunder to take the spot for The Weather Rainbowed Canvas was the Continuous Spell, The Weather Cloudy Canvas.

"Ok, I'm gonna set one card face-down in my Spell Trap Zone." CraftyCorn said as she did so, leaving her with 2 cards left in her hand, "I end my turn."

"About time!" Seraphina said as she draws to start Turn 3, giving her the same amount of cards in her hand as CraftyCorn, for now,

Seraphina looked at the card she drew and smiled.

"I play my Spell Card." She said as she revealed the card she drew, "Ogdoadic Water Lily. It's pretty simple. I can send a Reptile-type monster from my Deck to my Graveyard, but if I also have 5 or more Reptile-type monsters in my Graveyard with different names, then I can Special Summon one of them from there!"

"Oh!" CraftyCorn said, shocked,

Seraphina then sends Aron, The Ogdoadic King from her Deck to her Graveyard.

"I won't be needing the monster I just sent." She said, "Instead, I'll be bringing back one of my monsters that I sent earlier!"

Splashes of water started to form around Seraphina.

"Th-That's not good…" CraftyCorn said, worried,

"When you try to blend in with the shadows, your light will become one with it as a fallen angel from the heavens above on their way to Hell!" Seraphina chanted, "Come forth, Ogdoabyss, The Ogdoadic Overlord!"

Ogdoabyss, The Ogdoadic Overlord was Special Summoned from the Graveyard in Attack Position with 3100 ATK Points.

"3100?!" CraftyCorn shouted,

"Oh yes, 3100 ATK Points indeed!" Seraphina said, "Now, for Ogdoabyss, The Ogdoadic Overlord to activate its effect! Overlord's Overkill!"

A shockwave of water started to appear.

"Once while face-up on the field, I can use the effect of my Ogdoabyss to send all monsters from the field to the Graveyard, except those Special Summoned from the Graveyard!" Seraphina said, "So your Weather Painter Thunder will be sent there!"

"Not if I use The Weather Cloudy Canvas as Thunder's effect to banish Thunder first!" CraftyCorn said as The Weather Painter Thunder was banished, "Now I'll half the ATK Points of your Ogdoabyss until the end of this turn!"

Ogdoabyss's ATK Points went down to 1550.

"Pfft, that's it?" Seraphina said, "Ok, cool! I'll go into battle then!"

The Battle Phase started again.

"My Ogdoabyss will attack you directly!" Seraphina shouted, "Overlord Dive!"

Ogdoabyss then splashed down to attack CraftyCorn, dealing 1550 points of damage to her, leaving her with 2450 Life Points left.

"That will be all for my turn." Seraphina said as Ogdoabyss's ATK Points went back up to 3100,

"...Ok… Here I go." CraftyCorn said as she drew to start Turn 4, "I draw!"

Turn 4.

CraftyCorn: 2450

Seraphina: 4000

CraftyCorn looked at the card she drew and took a deep breath before putting it in her hand,

"Ok, let's do this!" She said as she played another monster, "I summon The Weather Painter Cloud in Attack Position!"

The Weather Painter Cloud was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 1500 ATK Points and in the same column as The Weather Cloudy Canvas.

"Now this isn't gonna be a final fantasy of mine." CraftyCorn said, "So I'll use the effect of Cloudy Canvas and give it to my Weather Painter Cloud to use!"

The Weather Painter Cloud was then banished as Ogdoabyss's ATK Points were halved again.

"This isn't gonna help you." Seraphina said,

"It will, because I'm gonna create a Link Circuit that will help me finish this canvas of victory!" CraftyCorn said as a Link Circuit appeared, surprising Seraphina,

"Wh-What?! How?! You don't have any monsters!"

"I have The Weather Forecast in my Field Spell Zone, so I can use "The Weather" Continuous Spells and Traps that are face-up on my field as Link Materials as if they were "The Weather" monsters!"

"Im-Impossible! Using Spells Traps straight from their Zones as Link Materials?!"

"That's right! Now, the summoning conditions are 3 "The Weather" monsters. So as "The Weather" monsters, I'll be using The Weather Thundery Canvas, The Weather Rainy Canvas and The Weather Cloudy Canvas as Link Materials!"

CraftyCorn's 2 Continuous Spells and Continuous Trap were used as Link Materials as they went into the Bottom Left, Bottom and Bottom Right Link Arrows of the Link Circuit.

"Link the circuit!" CraftyCorn shouted as she started to chant, "Wash away all my worries and shine down a beautiful rainbow that brings me victory at the end of it! Link Summon!"

Coming down from the rainbow of The Weather Forecast Field Spell was a new monster.

"Paint the starting day, Link-3, The Weather Painter Rainbow!" CraftyCorn shouted,

The Weather Painter Rainbow was Link Summoned in Attack Position with 2400 ATK Points.

"Oh, it has enough to take down my Ogdoabyss." Seraphina said, "Since you used The Weather Cloudy Canvas before you Link Summoned."

"Of course I did!" CraftyCorn said, "With an artistic mind like mine, it's best to take things one step at a time!"

"Heh, ok, bring it on! Come at me!"

"I will, battle!"

The Battle Phase started.

"My Weather Painter Rainbow will now attack your Ogdoabyss!" CraftyCorn shouted, "Rainbow Trace!"

The Weather Painter Rainbow then started to paint down different colors of the rainbow at Ogdoabyss, but Seraphina chuckled.

"I activate my Counter Trap, Negate Attack!" Seraphina shouted as Negate Attack was activated,

"Oh come on!" CraftyCorn shouted,

"Unfortunately, your monster's attack is negated and the Battle Phase will end right now!"

The Battle Phase ended as CraftyCorn sighed heavily.

"Darn it." She said as she sets two more cards in her Spell/Trap Zone.

"I'll set two more cards face-down." She said, "Go ahead."

Seraphina then chuckled again.

"Well, I'm gonna have to end this duel the same way Morris did." She said, "But first."

Seraphina then deactivated her mask as red smoke came out of it, worrying CraftyCorn.

"Y-You're taking off your mask?" She said, "What's going on?"

Seraphina then took off her mask and threw it aside to reveal her true face. She was a purple salamander critter with a yellow spike face-paint on one of her eyes.

"My true name is Sneaky Sal." She said, "But I chose to be known as Seraphina."

"Wait, what's going on?" CraftyCorn wondered, "I don't even know you!"

Sal chuckled a bit.

"Well, good." She said, "Because I am Morris' secret right-hand woman!"

"Interesting, I guess I really am letting out my revenue on you instead of him." CraftyCorn said,

"I was Morris's only friend when he was at his lowest point. He was abandoned by society after dropping out of high school. It was truly a big yet horrible mistake he had made, but I decided to drop out as well for the two of us to plan something that will make society know who's the real boss now!"

"You planned… The Hour Of Joy?"

"Me and Morris, yes!"

"But… I didn't know anything about you guys yet Morris targeted me first!"

"Because you were merely an experiment."

"A-An experiment?! You can't be serious!"

"I am! And now in this do or die situation, I'm gonna have to ask Morris for assistance!"

"Wait, what?"

Sal then looks up at the pink pillar of light behind her and puts her arms out like she's saluting a sun.

"MORRIS!" She shouted, "MY FRIEND, USE YOUR POWERS TO STRIKE ME DOWN! I MUST END THIS DUEL WITH CRAFTYCORN THE SAME WAY YOU DID!"

"Wh-What the?!" CraftyCorn said, confused,

Then, a pink lightning bolt struck down at Sal, exactly what she asked for.

"What the hell is going on?!" CraftyCorn said as she realized that she swore, "D-Did I just swear? I never done that before, but…"

Sal then embraced the bolt striking her as her eyes glowed pink.

"YES!" She shouted with glee and insanity, "JUST WHAT I NEEDED! THANK YOU MORRIS, I WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN, MY FRIEND! THIS HOUR OF JOY WILL GO EXACTLY AS THE TWO OF US PLANNED!"

Sal then placed her fingers on the top card of her deck.

"I can feel it…" She said as she drew to start Turn 5, "I DRAW!"

As Sal drew the card, a mark glowed on one of her arms, resembling the mark of the lizard.

"It's here!" She said, "My true monster is here!"

"Uh-oh…" CraftyCorn said, worried,

"First, when I control no monsters, or if I control an Ogdoadic monster, I can once again Special Summon Nunu, The Ogdoadic Remnant from my Graveyard!"

Nunu, The Ogdoadic Remnant was Special Summoned back from the Graveyard in Defense Position again.

"Now for the moment we've been waiting for!" Sal shouted, "I sacrifice Nunu, The Ogdoadic Remnant and Ogdoabyss, The Ogdoadic Overlord!"

Nunu, The Ogdoadic Remnant and Ogdoabyss, The Ogdoadic Overlord were sacrificed to the giant rock in the sky with pink lines that just formed from the pink pillar of light behind Sal.

"That happened when I dueled Morris…" CraftyCorn said, worried, "And he took me away from my friends…"

"That's right!" Sal said, "And like him, I'll be able to take you away from your friends, PERMANENTLY!"

The giant rock started to absorb dark magic.

"Now, let the burning desire inside me take on anyone who opposes The Hour Of Joy and shatter the hopes and dreams of many like you!" Seraphina chanted, "I summon, Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua!"

The giant rock exploded as a giant black lizard with green nazca lines around it started to appear. It was Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua as it was Normal Summoned in Attack Position with 2800 ATK Points.

Bubba and his friends meanwhile were outside as they saw Ccarayhua.

"That's one big lizard." Hoppy said,

"That's another Earthbound Immortal!" Bobby said, "But who's using it and who's dueling against that one?"

"Whoever is dueling against that giant lizard, they gotta win!" PickyPiggy said,

"That's right." Bubba said, "They could be helping us finish what we started."

"The same goes for that pillar in the distance from that lizard!" KickinChicken said, "Someone else gotta take care of that as well in order to save us all!"

Shifting back to CraftyCorn, she gulped at this moment she was in. It took her back to flashbacks to where Morris himself was responsible for her sacrifice. He used a giant black hummingbird to create a gold glittering whirlwind that took her away from her friends, one year ago. The flashbacks ended as CraftyCorn looked down, breathing heavily.

"I struck a nerve in you, didn't I?" Sal said as she chuckled, "Well, don't worry, I'll make sure the next strike on you will be a permanent end to your life."

CraftyCorn looked up at Ccarayhua as it looked down at her. She got scared for a moment as she looked away. Sal chuckled more.

"Come on, don't be afraid." She said to CraftyCorn, "My Ccarayhua will clean up your canvas with your blood on my hands!"

CraftyCorn then got to her knees as she was trying her best to collect herself again.

"What do I do?" She said, "The past is haunting me again… Why is this happening? I thought I've become one with zen? I thought that year of calming myself down and becoming a new unicorn would be worth it?"

Sal then started to point at CraftyCorn.

"It's over!" She shouted, "Battle!"

The Battle Phase started again.

"Ccarayhua, attack CraftyCorn directly and end this duel!" Sal shouted,

Ccarayhua then started to roar as its eyes started to focus on CraftyCorn. It raised up one of its palms to shoot out dark energy at her, but CraftyCorn's charm started to glow bright, blinding Sal a bit.

"What the?!" Sal shouted, "What's happening?!"

CraftyCorn was in her own bubble as she was standing there, frozen in time. Everything stopped as she saw herself, defeated in despair and in the trauma she was in. She looked up at Ccarayhua with its hand out to shoot out dark magic at her. She then grew serious.

"No." She said, "I am not letting this moment happen again! I am not gonna let emotions get in the way of this canvas I will finish!"

CraftyCorn then used her charm to glow back into the real world and time itself as it moved forward. CraftyCorn then quickly acted as she got up and placed her free arm out.

"Not so fast!" She shouted, "I activate my Continuous Trap, Fiendish Chain!"

Fiendish Chain was activated as chains came out of the card to chain up Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua.

"Impossible!" Sal shouted, "You were defeated a moment ago and now you're back up?!"

"That's right!" CraftyCorn said, "And don't even think about using your Ccarayhua to attack me directly! Not only can it not attack under my Fiendish Chain Continuous Trap Card, but also its effects are negated!"

Sal then grew angry.

"I'll make sure you eat those words!" She said, "I end my turn!"

CraftyCorn then took a deep breath as she got her hoof on the top card of her deck.

"Ok, this is once again, a do or die situation." She said, "Have faith in me, deck, I draw!"

CraftyCorn draws to start Turn 6. She looked at it and smiled.

"It came through." She said as she put it in her hand to reveal another face-down card of hers, "I reveal my Trap Card, Return From The Different Dimension!"

Return From The Different Dimension was activated as CraftyCorn's Life Points were halved to 1225.

"By giving up half of my Life Points, I get to Special Summon as many of my monsters that were banished as possible!" She said,

"No way!" Sal said, "That's impossible!"

"It will be, so come back to me my Weather Painters!"

Coming back to the field were The Weather Painters Snow, Rain, Thunder and Cloud as they were all Special Summoned in Attack Position.

"And now when Rain is Special Summoned, I can place another "The Weather" Spell or Trap face-up on my field!" CraftyCorn said as she took another The Weather Cloudy Canvas from her Deck and placed it in the same column as The Weather Painter Rain, "And it will be another Cloudy Canvas!"

"No, what are you gonna do next?!" Sal shouted,

"Making sure you reap what you sow! Now, I will create the Circuit that will guide me back to my life!"

Another Link Circuit appeared.

"The summoning conditions are at least 2 monsters with different names, so I'll use my Weather Painters; Snow, Rain, Thunder and Cloud as Link Materials!" CraftyCorn shouted,

The Weather Painters Snow, Rain, Thunder and Cloud were used as Link Materials as they went to the Top, Bottom Left, Bottom and Bottom Right Link Arrows of the Link Circuit.

"Link the circuit!" CraftyCorn shouted as she then started to chant, "Wherever the wind blows, this monster will guide my life that I've obtained again to the paradise I've always dreamed of! Link Summon!"

A woman riding on a bear with a giant bow and arrow appeared out of the Link Circuit.

"Lead the way to victory, Link-4, Apollousa, Bow Of The Goddess!" CraftyCorn shouted,

"3200 ATK Points?!" Sal shouted,

"Correct!" CraftyCorn said, "My Apollousa gains 800 ATK Points for every monster used as Link Materials!"

"No matter how many times you try to take us down, our leader Morris will reign supreme, even when your reunited friends will fall under him!"

"Well we won't let The Hour Of Joy succeed! Instead of a raging red sky, we'll find sunshine again! And I'll start by Normal Summoning another Weather Painter monster from my hand!"

CraftyCorn then showed the monster she's gonna Normal Summon.

"And that will be The Weather Painter Sun!" She said as she Normal Summoned The Weather Painter Sun in Attack Position with 1600 ATK Points and in the same column as The Weather Cloudy Canvas, "And I'll use Cloudy Canvas's effect for The Weather Painter Sun to activate!"

The Weather Painter Sun was banished.

"Now to half your Ccarayhua's ATK Points!" CraftyCorn said,

With the effect of The Weather Cloudy Canvas, Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua's ATK Points were now halved to 1400.

"Oh, try and attack me, I dare you!" Sal said,

"Gladly!" CraftyCorn said, "But remember, I'm gonna make you reap what you sow when you try to ruin my canvas! Battle!"

The Battle Phase started again.

"Apollousa, Bow Of The Goddess, attack Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua!" CraftyCorn shouted, "Northern Wind Arrow!"

Apollousa then shot an arrow from bow at Ccarayhua and pierced its body, slowly cracking it and fading it away to the light. Sal took 1800 points of damage, draining her Life Points to 2200.

"I gotcha!" Sal shouted, "When you destroy my Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua, it will destroy ALL cards on the field!"

"Not if I use the effect of my Apollousa!" CraftyCorn said,

"What erfect?!"

"When you activate a monster's effect, I can decrease my Apollousa's ATK Points by 800 to negate the effect!"

"What?!"

"That's right, and I can even do it, once per chain! But I only need to use it once as long as you have nothing else in play! So, Apollousa, Roar Of The Gods!"

The ATK Points of Apollousa, Bow Of The Goddess have gone down 2400 to negate Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua's effect as Apollousa's bear roared at it.

"IMPOSSIBLE!" Sal shouted,

"Oh no, it's possible!" CraftyCorn said, "All it took was for me to move forward and not let my past get back to me!"

"DAMN IT! MY CCARAYHUA! IT FAILED ME!"

"And you failed yourself after being friends with Morris! Time to end this!"

CraftyCorn then clenched her hoof at Sal.

"And now, my Weather Painter Rainbow will attack you directly to end this duel!" She shouted, "Light-Filling Colors!"

The Weather Painter Rainbow then used her brush and the paints of different colors of the rainbow and shined it up in the air. She then fired a glittering beam of light out of her brush and at Sal, dealing 2400 points of damage to her.

"WAHHHHHHH!!!" She shouted as her Life Points went down to 0, making CraftyCorn the winner of the duel,

Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua then vanished completely into the light as the duel ended. Bubba and his friends meanwhile saw Ccarayhua vanishing.

"It's defeated!" KickinChicken shouted,

"Whoever won must have defeated another Dark Critter in a duel that has that Earthbound Immortal!" Bubba said,

"There's one more Dark Critter standing!" PickyPiggy said,

"That's right!" Bobby said, "And his name is Morris!"

"KICK MORRIS'S ASS, WHOEVER IS OUT THERE!" Hoppy shouted out the window,

"Hey! Those masked critters could hear us!" Bubba said,

"Oh shit! Sorry!"

Bubba sighed heavily.

"Doesn't matter." He said, "Let's just pray that they don't knock at our door and pray that this Morris guy is defeated.

CatNap and DogDay meanwhile saw Ccarayhua vanishing as well and smiled while on their way to the final pillar.

"She did it!" DogDay said with glee, "CraftyCorn won!"

"Indeed she did…" CatNap said,

CraftyCorn meanwhile went down to get Sal up after the duel while she was lying there from the attack that got her.

"...This… isn't over yet." Sal said, weakened

"It will be." CraftyCorn said, "Once CatNap and DogDay go after Morris."

Sal chuckled softly.

"Good luck with that…" She said, "They will suffer the same fate as you did when you dueled my friend, one year ago…"

"No, I'm not gonna let it get to me." CraftyCorn said, "You will face the consequences of your actions once this Hour Of Joy ceases to exist."

Sal chuckled more.

"If you say so…" She said, "I'll see you in the afterlife if I'm still alive while you and your friends are not."

Sal then faded away into the light as CraftyCorn then got up and looked at the final pink pillar of light shining up at the red sky that it created.

"Good luck, CatNap and DogDay." She said, "I'll be sending you a prayer on the way."
