Summary: Kimberly is a young witch in Shield. She goes through her life as just an agent, but when Captain America escapes after waking up things in her world are turned upside down.

Authoress Note: Welcome to a brand new story called Witchy Agent. I thought that since my God of Lies and Mischief and the Woman of Many Faces were getting so many good reviews I thought why the hell not and try writing another witchy story. I hope that this story turns out well. I haven't quite decided on who Kimberly will be paired off with. I hope that you guys will enjoy this brand new story. Without further ado the Prologue.

Prologue

A woman with blonde hair got into the car with her boss.

"Explain to me how Captain Rogers got out." The black man questioned across from her, one eye staring at the young woman that sat across from him.

"I don't know sir. All I know is he flattened some of our agents during his escape." She said looking out the window as the car flew through intersections making sure that they were catching up to Captain Rogers to make sure that he would understand why they did what they did. She grabbed the handle above the door as the car came to a halt.

The man got out of the car.

The woman followed him out of the car.

"At ease, soldier."

The blond haired man turned sharply to see the two of them there. "Who are you?"

"Colonel Fury, Director of Shield. You would have known us as the Special Scientific Reserve."

"Where am I?"

"Roundabout 34th and 5th." The woman replied as she looked at the Captain.

Nick waved some of the MPs to block off the alleyway. "Sorry about that little show back there. See, there's no precedent for what you've been through. We couldn't tell you how delicate your mental state might be. We thought it best to break it to you slowly."

"Break what?" Steve questioned his brows pinched together in confusion.

"You've been asleep, Captain. For almost seventy years."

Steve looked around his brows pinching more in confusion. How on earth was that possible? It didn't feel like that whatsoever. "Seventy… The world of the future."

"Well, thanks to you, there is one."

Steve eyed Nick. "What about the war? Did we win?"

"Hell, yes. Unconditional surrender, baby. And taking down Hydra was a big part of that."

"How am I not dead?"

"To be perfectly honest, we're not sure yet. My docs day it's some kind of suspended animation. Dr. Erskine's formula, the extreme cold. I can't break it down for you on a cellular level, but you haven't aged a day since the plane went down." Nick cleared his throat. "You don't mind my asking, what gave us away back there."

"What? Oh. Bob Chipman was traded for Eddie Stanky during the '44 season. He's with the cubs now… Or was."

"I know it's a lot to swallow. But the world's not as different as it looks. There's still work to be done. Soldier's work."

Steve met the eyes of Nick as the woman pulled out a case out of the car and brought it over to him.

Nick opened the case revealing the battered shield inside of it. Nick looked up at Steve. "The world could still use a man like you, Cap."

Steve's hand shakily touched the shield remembering the times he had with it and his team from the past like it was yesterday.

"Take your time. God knows if anybody's earned it, you have. All the same." Fury offered his hand to him.

Steve took it, shaking it lightly.

"There's a place for you on the team."

Steve rubbed his head as the memories swirled in his brain like in a blender.

"You sure you're alright?"

"Yeah. It's just… I have a date."

"Captain Rogers, this is Agent Kimberly."

The blonde haired woman moved from behind Nick. "Captain."

Steve looked at Kimberly with wide eyes.

"Agent Kimberly will be helping you adjust to the real world for the time being."

"Are you sure that she'll be alright with it?"

Kimberly bowed her head slightly. "Everything will be alright. It's my job and I don't mind helping." She said with a small smile. "Besides, is it good to have a friend, no?"

This is the end of the Prologue. I hope that you guys enjoyed this first part of the story. I have a long way to go before any other suitable characters can be with Kimberly.
