I think everyone knew this was coming. Enjoy!

FYI this side chapter is Pikabun.

Pikachu POV:

Where had Piplup gone off to this time?

I had known him for a long time, and something was off with him. I had never seen him like this before. He was happy and fun one moment, and angry and mean the next. It wasn't like him to be this unstable.

His problems seemed to revolve around Oshawott as well. One moment they were off playing by themselves, the next they were both blasting water in each other's faces. He always acted up if Oshawott was around Meloetta, but it didn't seem like he was actually attracted to her.

Seriously, what was going on with him?

Speaking of Piplup, I spotted him walking over to me, coming from Arceus-knows-where. I smiled at him in a friendly greeting. "Hey Piplup" I said as I studied him. He looked determined and confident, although I wasn't sure why. "Where'd you go?"

"I needed to talk with Buneary" he answered, which surprised me. I did not know they were close. "She wants to see you over there, alone" he said, pointing his flipper out to the beach in the distance. I looked at him with apprehension. I knew he knew about us, but I wasn't sure exactly how much he knew.

"Why?" I asked, trying to gauge what he knew about us. He rolled his eyes at me.

"I didn't ask" he stated flatly. "And I really don't want to know. So please don't tell me." Ugh. Either he was a very good guesser, or Bun-bun had told him a little too much. I glared at him.

"You better keep your beak shut about us" I growled, sparking my cheeks in a clear warning. I would have to talk to him about keeping us a secret later. I watched his face pale slightly as he nodded. Good, he got the message.

"She wants me to distract everyone else for half an hour" he said. Then he started to grin in a way that made me feel unsettled. "And I got a plan. When everyone runs after me, that's your cue to slip away. Okay?" I nodded even though I was confused. What was he planning?

I watched as he walked over to Oshawott, who smiled at him. It was strange that he was always smiling at Piplup, even though Piplup was not usually nice to him.

"PIPLUP! (YOU DUMB JERK!)" I heard Piplup scream, and I sighed. Here they go again. Their foreheads clashed together and they glared at each other.

"OSHAWOTT! (YOU'RE THE DUMB JERK!)" Oshawott screamed back angrily. Yep, they were at it again.

"PIPLUP! (NOBODY LIKES YOU!)" I sighed again; was this going to last the whole time they were together?

"OSHAWOTT! (NOBODY LIKES YOU!)" Geez, would these two ever give it a break?

"PIPLUP! (CLOWN-FACE!)" I tensed; not that name again. Piplup didn't know any better and I needed to talk to him about that name. I readied a Thunderbolt just in case I had to stop a big fight.

"OSHAWOTT! (BEAK-FACE!)" I snorted, dispelling my electric build-up. That was funny, original and true; nice one Oshawott!

"PIP PIPLUP! (GO AWAY YOU FAT LOSER!)" Piplup started running down the beach and away from everyone.

"OSHAWOTT OSHA! (YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME YOU SHRIMP!)" Oshawott began to run after him.

"Piplup, wait!" Dawn yelled, taking off after him.

"Oshawott, stop!" Ash yelled, doing the same. Iris, Cilan, Axew and Pansage all followed them as well, leaving me by myself.

I stood there in a bit of shock at what just happened before remembering I was supposed to split away when all the attention was on him. I shook my head to clear it and took off towards where Piplup had pointed to, where he said Bun-bun was waiting.

I just hoped Oshawott didn't try to seriously hurt Piplup. Or kill him.

I slowed down once I could no longer see the picnic table everyone had been at. I looked around only to see the sprawling sandy shore, endless water, and thick shrubbery. No Bun-bun in sight.

"Hey Peeks" I heard from behind me. I turned around and saw Bun-bun behind me, beaming happiness.

"Really, 'Peeks'?" I deadpanned. "You like that one?" Bun-bun and her endless pet names for me. She walked up to me and shrugged.

"I tried it out, but I don't think it's right" she said with a frown. "Someday, I'll find the perfect name for you, my sweet yellow mouse." I felt my face heat up.

"Why are you out of your ball and talking with Piplup?" I questioned, changing the subject from pet names. I wanted to know, hopefully she would tell me.

"He needed to talk with me, so I talked with him" she stated, leaning her head on my shoulder. I did not find that vague response satisfying.

"Why did he? And when did you two become so close?" I persisted. Was she hiding something from me? What happened between them?

"Jealous?" she teased, raising her head next to my ear. "You know you're the only one for me, babe." Well that made me feel better, it wasn't anything like that. I felt her start nibbling on my ear; not hard enough to hurt, but firm enough to stimulate the nerves. I shivered; she knew how much I liked this.

"But what happened?" I asked again, although it was quickly becoming hard to focus. She shifted and started nibbling on my other ear, eliciting a very soft moan from me.

"It's not my story to tell" she whispered, completely removing her mouth from my ear. "But enough about him. We have time to ourselves, nobody's going to come looking, and the ocean's right there." I felt her let out a hot breath over the tip of my ear. "Is my Pi-pi interested?"

Oh, I most certainly was! It didn't matter what she wanted, I wanted it too. I wanted her. I turned around to face her and kissed her passionately, ready for whatever she had planned.
