CHAPTER 1
FROM THE TOP
There are two people that are being escorted. There are four of the soldiers in black uniforms and helmets, visors down, tinted black, completely featureless. Two of the people escorted have two different uniforms on. One a male in a grey and red lining that looks like a racing uniform.
Another is female with a slender figure in a uniform of gold and green with blue paints. Both are in irons, form a double of cuffs and ankle bracelets with one big heavy chain that connects them. Both are then escorted inside some sort of room and as they are escorted in, both are seated on chairs and the chain link in the middle.
One soldier takes part of that link and then plugs it into an outlet and twists it, locking the chains down. The same is done with the male and after that two of the soldiers; they then deliver punches on the male prisoner's body, so much to the point the male prisoner then limps down and is unmoving. The female prisoner struggles to get out to help her partner but is unable to do to how well the chains are locked. All four soldiers march out of the room and then lock the door behind them.
Once the room is quiet, both the female and male prisoner their quiet for a while but then the male prisoner he starts to gather himself despite painful, he refuses patience for his body to heal as he knows action must be taken now. Both prisoners they look at the whole room and it's an apartment room with all the accommodations like a stove and counter. But they see it's completely unoccupied as there is hardly anything else there. They also see that the walls and practically everything including the carpet are pure white color.
Both the male and female prisoner are both sitting in chairs, tied up as both in irons and an Iron Cylinder mask over them, so both can't communicate. The female prisoner moves her right hand, and she gets to the sleeve, and she can slip out a small Cama flashed pin. She then takes the pin to her thigh, and she bends the pin, it then bends making one end of the straight pin into a L shape.
She does a couple more bends and when the pin is shaped a certain way, she then inserts it into one of the small keyholes of the iron. She can get the left cuff off and then goes with the rest of them. After that, she throws all the irons away and she then stands up and comes to her partner.
She picks at the irons and unlocks, and she sees her partner who is still unmoving from the blow. She then puts his head up and tries to shake him awake. He comes to, sees her despite wearing a metal mask that covers her face completely, he recognizes her touch and body still in great shape. He also notices the freedom of movement in his wrists and legs and immediately stands up but winces from the body blows he had. The female has her hands on him to sit him back down. After her partner takes a small breath, he then with her help gets up slowly and despite still a little pain it's minimal and fades a bit.
The male prisoner realizes he's still in the heavy metal mask along with her sees her. He is feeling around it his mask and, on the back, there are a few circular plug outlets. He then gets to his right sleeve, and he tears open a small compartment. On the compartment form his right forearm there is what looks like a small rectangular glass and next to it, there are black and red wires connected to hit with two pins at the ends of them.
He takes up the device and he hooks up the wires on the outlets. He then with his thumbs taps on the glass plate and then suddenly the glass rectangle it then presents a digital display with six section s and multiple numbers that are rapidly displaying. But then one of the numbers stops displaying one number a 2 and then the rest of them do the same. Soon the numbers make a full code and then he hears a click on the mask. He then pulls the wires from his mask and then does the same procedure on the female prisoner's mask.
The male prisoner unhooks the wires and then as both touch their masks both the Metal Masks come slightly apart in half. Both rapidly pull their masks apart and throw both pieces of the mask away. For the male it reveals a face that is Caucasian white and has hair that is blond and a wild style. The other is a female who is Spanish nationality, a pale white and short brown hair that is pulled back in a ponytail.
The female says, "Thank god our faces our free from those ghastly things, I could hardly breath."
The male says, "Yeah, I couldn't stand another minute of it either Gloria."
He breathes a sight and continues.
"It's great to see your beautiful face again."
Gloria says, "Likewise to you beautiful."
Both look around at their surroundings. They see they are in an apartment complex which is unoccupied and looks almost new as they see the sterile white décor. From the counters, tables, shelves, and many other things that could be from any shopping catalog.
The female looks at the male and says, "Matt where are we?"
Matt looks at her and says, "I'm not sure…"
Matt then looks and sees there are double doors to the right of him. Matt comes to the door and pulls it open, and he sees a balcony. He then walks to it quickly and then when close to the edge, he then looks up and then he moves his head curving a little to the right. He then looks down and he sees how high up they are from how far the road is. He then looks up and sees them both in the city as there are a lot of tall, glass building infrastructures. He also realizes they are close to the tops of them as he can see the roofs of most of the buildings past him. It's also very quiet right now as there are no cars or any activity going on as it's now the evening, from the darkness of the sky and the stars he notices.
After that he then walks over the Gloria and Matt says, "It appears were on a high rise."
Gloria says, "Which means were not going to get out of here."
"At least not yet."
Then Gloria moves and looks at the apartment more thoroughly, she gets to the cupboards. Gloria is looking inside the cupboard and is looking at the back carefully and feeling for anything unusual. But can detect nothing, she then closes the cupboard, but then suddenly notices something. Gloria then looks at the hinge of the cupboard and she looks at the top of it and she sees how circular, black and shinny it is and how it contrasts with the brass coloring of the rest.
Gloria looks at Matt and she makes a quiet gesture and then signals him to come to her and Matt does. Gloria shows him the sensor she uncovered; Matt then makes it and to her and she does the same and then he takes the sensor with his fore and thumb fingers and then pulls the bug out. Both Matt and Gloria are spending their time looking around carefully for more of the bugs that look too normal.
Gloria looks at a ventilation duet, opens it and feels for something and suddenly her hand contacts something that feels like a wire. She then grabs onto it and pulls it and there is a long wire with a small mike at the end. Matt is looking at the bathroom and he gets into the shower area and is looking around and finds nothing. But then Matt looks at the shower facet and then he walks to it and then feels the neck of it, but then looks and sees a shiny circular object. Matt then unscrews the facet head and once unscrewed he then pulls out the circular object which was a lens that was part of the end of a small device.
Matt and Gloria, they go to the kitchen table and then lay down all the objects they found.
Gloria says, "This was all I was able to find, bugs, fiber optics, wires just everything tool to snuff out privacy."
Matt says, "This place was wired and tapped to the brim, there might be more but without any proper detection equipment we can't know for certain, so we need to work fast they may've already listened and saw what we were doing."
Gloria says, "There are a lot of solders that are armed, depending on what with, their formation, and how well they know this apartment; I'm not sure we have the element of surprise." "It doesn't matter, we have to at least try to escape."
"Of course, thought for more bad news can't find anything we can use to make weapon, any items, or even floor or cooking oil to make ourselves diner."
"Alright, alright let's think about this logically, we clearly can't go out the front door, nor the outside as we have no rope to repel down, fight our way out, which leaves us with…."
Matt then looks upward at the ceiling and then he looks at the walls and then down at the floor.
Gloria says, "Matt, you're doing that looking and silence again, I know when you do that you've figured something out."
Matt he then come near a wall, puts his ear next to it and then knocks on the wall. He then kneels and then puts his ear down on the floor and knocks on it. After that he then has a small smirk and then he gets up and then looks at Gloria and says, "The floor has a hollow spot, we can dig our way down."
"That's a lot of digging and a lot of drops, there is though one flaw to your plan, we don't know if anyone is down any of the other floors."
"That is just a chance we're going to have to take."
"Well, better then standing here doing and looking at nothing."
Gloria then looks at Matt up and down.
Gloria says, "I take it back there is a sight worth seeing here."
Matt has a little bemused smile and says, "Cmon Gloria, no time for flirting, we have work to do."
Matt and Gloria notice that the lights in their room have been completely switched off. And then suddenly there are emergency lights on.
Gloria looks at Matt and says, "What's going on Matt?'
Matt looks and says, "I, have no idea."
Then suddenly the emergency lights flicker.
Matt says, "That can only mean this building is under attack."
Both hear some banging, and suddenly there is an unusual roar. This chills both Matt and Gloria as it's nothing they've ever heard. It sounded almost like an animal cry but it wasn't one from any animal they've known. The banging gets louder and louder, along with that strange roar, both Matt and Gloria cover their ears a little as that roar is almost defining. They both see the ceiling a certain amount of dusty material trickling down like rain; soon there are more trickles of that same substance. Both then immediately move back as they see there are more dusty trickles that are produced from more of the banging.
Suddenly they see the ceiling collapse down; both Gloria and Matt are waving their hands to clear out the big amount of dust clouds that hit them both from the felled ceiling. As the smoke clears both then see there is something that is kneeling on the ground with its face down. There are strange features of the creature they see with its hairless albino pale white skin, but they also notice that on its arm it looks like two batwings that are organically attached right to its body. They also notice the head, which is completely bald and has two pointy ears, that reach high in the sky.
The creature then raises its head slowly and then opens its eyes slowly looking with his neon green eyes which are glowing and sees the balcony is open. It then starts crawling on the floor on all fours to get aways from the pile and then it starts to stand up right. Then as it has its clawed left hand on the edge of the screen door it slides open and looks out from the balcony and turns its head to the left. The creature sees a door, it then approaches the door and as it does it notices it's locked as he tries to pull on the knob. Out of frustrated impatience the creature crashes through the door.
As it crashed through it was like a wrecking ball crashed though as it created a big hole and sent splinters everywhere. It sees it's in another room and it's empty, but it sees another door in the room and its ears suddenly make a small wiggle and as he does, he hears some noises behind the locked door, it sounds like the presence of two people from the small whispery breathes it hears. The creature then charges the door, and it doesn't break the door at first, so it then just charges again and crashes through.
The creature then suddenly sees Matt who gives the creature a wack with a chair he was able to take in, the creature is staggered and then suddenly gets hit again which takes him down. Matt then is about to pin the creature with the chair, but the creature immediately gets right back up right in a fast levitation move. The creature then grabs the legs of the chair and immediately moves Matt backward and slams him to a wall, pining Matt with the chair. Matt is struggling to push the chair off him and even breath as the head edge of the chair is starting to dig into his ribs. Matt then sees himself reflected in its neon glowing eyes and is stunned on the inhuman nature and structure of this beast, that he thought only existed in myth. The creature then starts to bar its fangs which consist of rows of tall sharp feral teeth; these teeth start to grow larger. Just as it was about to attack Matt, suddenly its pulled back.
Gloria, she grasps onto the vampire from behind with both her arms and legs, Gloria she gouges at its neon eyes. The creature roars out with pain and then is shaking itself around with Gloria still grasping it, and her just wincing at her own gruesome action and the running neon blood she is feeling with both her fingers. The creature then runs backwards and crashes through a wall from the room, but Gloria still holds on as the break of the wall doesn't faze her. Matt runs toward them, but the creature then backhands Matt. Matt feels like someone just threw an extremely fast baseball in his face and spurted out blood from the blow as he went down.
The creature then does a jump and moves its body in a flat frontal position as it jumps up. It crashes its back behind the intact portion of the ceiling which makes Gloria lose her grip. The creature it drops down one place and catches Gloria just to throw her hard on a kitchen table where she crashes down on. Gloria is reeling from the impacts and as she does the creature hears her breathing and then is about to immediately charge and finish her. But then the creature feels something sharp and thick that just goes right though. It then feels down and it's some sort of straight chair leg. The creature then leaks out neon green blood which then slides and cakes the chair leg and then it just spits out like a geyser. The creature then levitates and moves in a rapid carousel motion covering the entire place with neon green blood along with both Matt and Gloria. After a few more mid-air carrousel twirls, it then turns toward the front door, dives straight down toward it and then explodes making just one big neon green carpet blot stain but also completely obliterates the locked front door.
Matt then breathes hard and then he looks at Gloria and comes to her, checking up on her.
Matt says, "You alright."
Gloria says, "Yeah, I'm fine sort of."
They then hear some rustling from up the ceiling and bellow. Matt looks at the front door as sees it's completely gone but also in the hallway, he's able to see is unoccupied.
Matt looks at Gloria and says, "Now's our chance."
Both Matt and Gloria rush through the front door, unknowing where they're going to go and the danger that lies ahead.
