After six long months, I finally have something. Since this chapter is more of a continuation of the last one, I split it into part 1 and 2.
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon.
Piplup POV:
It was quickly growing dark and cold, the air no longer receiving the sun's light or warmth. Considering all Emolga and I had just shared, the atmosphere seemed appropriate.
She was sitting on a log next to me, leaning her head on my shoulder. It felt strange, having another Pokémon use me as a pillow. But it was a nice feeling; no wonder Oshawott liked when I did that with him.
"Wow" Emolga uttered, sounding astonished. "I could tell you were hurt, but I never would have guessed it was that bad. What a horrific story; especially about your brother. I may have been betrayed and outcast by mine, but yours is an evil monster! He tried to have you eaten!"
"Yes, he did, and I almost was" I answered. "Thank Arceus for my friend; she saved me from being Ekans food." She lifted her head off my shoulder.
"What's an Ekans?" she asked. I turned and saw her confused expression.
"An Ekans is a poisonous snake" I answered. She didn't know what an Ekans was?
"Thanks, I've never seen one" she admitted, confirming my suspicion. "Unova does not have many Pokemon from other regions. I've only met a few of them. Anyway, I'm glad she helped you escape. She sounds amazing, beating all those Ekans."
"Yeah, she was amazing" I recalled, smiling at the memories. "My only friend there was a local pink Dratini who lived in the forest. She was there for me at my worst times, cuddling me to comfort me and to keep me warm, bringing me food when I was starving, and defending me from those Ekans, of course." I suddenly realized Emolga likely had no clue what I was talking about. "A Dratini is-"
"The base form of a Dragonite; that one I know" Emolga interrupted me, much to my surprise. How did she know what a Dragonite was? She shuttered violently. "One of my sexual partners was a traveling Dragonite. I told him he was too big and that it wouldn't fit. But he didn't listen and made me big enough by tearing my insides apart. That was one of the most painful experiences I've ever had." I shivered at the unbidden visual.
"I can't imagine how awful that must have felt" I stated.
"The worst part was knowing I had no time to heal" she replied sadly. "I knew he was leaving the next day, and I'd have to bang another guy, even though I was in terrible pain. But I knew I had no choice; I needed food and shelter to survive."
"That's awful" I stated. "I experienced the other extreme, although I doubt it was any better." I sighed sadly as I recalled the bad memories. "I was regarded as pure poison, deadlier than the juiciest Poiz Berry. My brother told the other Piplup just my touch would kill them, and they vigilantly kept their distance. Except when my brother ordered them to abuse me, which happened frequently."
"That's terrible" she said, sounding mortified. "What a scumbag." She closed her eyes and shook her head. "It's funny, I was so sure nobody could understand the torture I endured. But then I met you and heard your story. Turns out I was completely wrong."
"I guess we both know what true suffering is" I commented. "My past is something I don't talk about. I've only told Buneary and Oshawott; and now you, of course." An exceptionally cold breeze abruptly blew by, making me shiver. What I wouldn't do for Quilava's warm flames right now.
"Are you cold?" Emolga asked, looking concerned.
"Yeah, definitely" I stated, sighing afterwards. "I guess I'm spending the night out here." I stood up and surveyed the area, trying to find some sort of shelter.
"You can stay with me" Emolga offered, standing up as well. "I don't mind sharing. Besides, it'll be nice to have your company."
"Thank you, Emolga; it'll be nice to have your company too" I accepted. "So, where have you been staying?"
"I found an abandoned Unfezant nest to sleep in" she explained. "We can head there now if you'd like, it should be warmer. It's probably a good idea to get there before it's completely dark, anyways. I've seen some gray dog Pokemon hunting in packs at night, and I'm sure they'd think we'd be a tasty snack."
"Sounds like Mightyena" I commented. "They are dangerous when hunting, so let's go!" I hoped we wouldn't run into them.
