Fighters : Kirby Mario

Spirit party: Smoky Progg Celeste Eevee.

Kirby and Mario stood together as they ventured through the colossal arena looking towards a gigantic ROB puppet.

"I have a feeling this won't be easy." Mario said worriedly.

Kirby nodded in agreement as Celeste interrupted.

That is the host to the Guardian spirit and its much stronger than anything else we've seen before so tread carefully!

The duo nodded as they cautiously approached the behemoth who turned to gaze back at them.

"BBBEEEEP!" The Guardian screeched as it unleashed a barrage of lasers at the hero's forcing them to take cover behind the walls of the ruined arena they heard the sound of explosion and crashes around them as they watched debris fly around as the Guardian continued to stomp towards them.

"Lets get ready I'll distract with fire balls you'll land the heavy hits." Mario said and Kirby nodded as Mario equipped the fire flower and began shooting barrages of fire balls doing minor damage but getting its attention as Kirby darted around it hammer in hand as he charged it up for a devastating hammer flip the guardian started stomping around trying to squash Mario under its foot however its speed was lackluster compared to its firepower so instead Kirby unleashed the hammer flip smashing a leg to pieces enraging it enough for the spirit to completely consume the puppet ROB's body and take on the appearance of the actual guardian rather than a mere silhouette.

"What did it just do?" Mario asked unnerved.

Kirby shrugged in confusion

The guardian manifested its physical form replacing the puppets body as a last resort!" Celeste said concerned for them.

The two fighters gazed upon the guardian as it shot one giant laser in an attempt to erase them destroying everything the duo passed prior in its anger both fighters could usually defeat the guardian with ease however they were tired out from fighting each other before.

"Kirby we need to find a weak spot on that thing or something!" Mario yelled over the sound of the laser.

Kirby nodded as Mario tried distracting again with mixtures of fire and ice which were fended of with lasers but not before Kirby jumped in front of one and consumed the laser becoming laser Kirby who began firing back with more force as they exchanged blasts Mario then distracted it with a torrent of water from the FLUDD dousing it in its mechanical eye the Guardian fired frantically trying to hit them before it recovered while Kirby charged a massive laser when it finally could see again it observed Kirby utilizing a massive laser and quickly charged its own.

The two combatants then launched their attacks engaging in an intense beam struggle as they both struggled to siphon more power from themselves the Guardian currently in the lead then Mario pulled out a launch star.

"Hey Kirby!" Mario said gesturing to the launch star Kirby turned slightly to nod as Mario threw the launch star behind Kirby the pink puff then stopped applying pressure to his laser and instead dodged to the side as the combined force of both lasers hit the launch star and were reflected back at the guardian obliterating it to pieces as it faded back to a chargrilled ROB body the guardian fusing itself with Mario as he then felt newfound strength course through him.

Nice thinking Mario as expected of the mushroom kingdoms hero! Celeste said.

Mario performed a mock bow "Why thank you Celeste but with Kirby buying me time I would have never thought of that."

Kirby beamed brightly in response to his kind words as they all celebrated their hard fought victory.

Alright we should continue now I see a few things up ahead! Celeste said.

"Alrighty then let's a go!" Mario replied as he and Kirby ran through the ruins of their part of the arena to see what sat waiting for the appearance until the came upon a cross roads.

"Those capsule they contain some familiar faces." Mario pondered.

Kirby began to frantically jump up and down as Celeste interjected.

Those are like the capsule we found you in that means their other fighters!

"Well what are we waiting for let's free them! But which one first?"

You mean the only one you'll pick? A master hand called from above surprising them.

"Dammit we're to weak to fight a hand right now!" Mario said worriedly.

Kirby also looked up with concern at the prospect of beating one of these things.

The master hand cackled Oh please my power would be wasted considering the sorry state your in no instead you must pick who to free of these three Marth Sheik or Villager.

"What happens to the rest?" Mario asked suspicious.

They will stay trapped until you find a way to free them now make your choice plumber!

Well which will it be? Celeste asked

"Well Marth is an excellent tactician and warrior and Sheik has many stealth options available to her."

Don't count the villager out he has many survival skills we need to cook food somehow. Celeste added.

Kirby's mouth watered as the prospect of cooked food while Mario and Celeste continued to ponder before coming to a decision.

"Ok we'll free Marth." Mario concluded Kirby nodded in affirmation although he would be fine with any decision.

Good I was starting to grow bored waiting here you really care for your friends don't you? Master hand mocked.

The heroes ignored the hand as they approached the capsule containing Marth who then burst forth as they reached close proximity to the statue the swordsman looked similar to normal but had red glowing eyes like the rest.

Hmm a two on one isn't fair about I even the odds. Master hand then waved a finger gifting Marth with newfound power.

This will raise the stakes and the entertainment. Master hand mused as the two heroes got into battle stances.

Marth immediately launching a downward thrust which both of them dodged as Kirby withdrew a sword and inhaled it becoming sword Kirby to gain an instant mastery as Mario simply opted to use his hands .

Mario swung a left and right hook which Marth dodged with unnatural speed before retaliating with an elbow into a jab with the hilt of his sword Kirby the engaged the blue haired warrior exchanging blows the sounds of the blades contact clanging though the air however again Marth came out on top in the exchange aiming an upward cleave which sent the star warrior flying Mario then shot some fire balls toward Marth who dodged them again however Mario continued to applied pressure as Kirby charged a sword beam from behind which he launched along with smaller ones in rapid succession but Marth blocked them however he was left open for a flying kick from Mario sending him flying in a downward hammer smash from Kirby.

As the dust settled Marth got back up brushing himself off before getting into a more serious stance clearly Master hands boost was bigger than they thought.

Marth then charged at Kirby launching up left and right slashes which Kirby blocked albeit strained however Marth suddenly appeared behind him and slashed the pink puff with a downward cleave sending him backwards sustaining a cut.

"Teleportation? That's new." Mario said before assuming that was another gift from Master hand Mario then charged forward hand coated in flame as he used it to block Marth's incoming strikes however due to lacking range Marth had the advantage and he began to get pressed.

Mario then concentrated the flame into a fire sword before using to fight back against Marth and keeping up quite well despite rarely wielding a blade but Marth's mastery overcame the flaming weapon before he kicked Mario backwards causing him to thud into the wall.

Kirby then jumped back in the fight with new energy as he slid under the swordsman attacks and grabbed him by the collar and slamming him into the ground in an attempt to disarm him he then began to beat down Marth until he let go and squirmed out the grip Kirby then inhaled the sword and they both smiled.

"You have no more sword your done for Marth!" Then Master hand snapped his finger conjuring a new sword for Marth.

"Never mind." Mario sighed as he began freezing the terrain however Marth ignored him as he went for Kirby instead Mario then shot a ice attack towards Kirby's sword imbuing it with ice and new strength however Marth dodged with practised skill and landed a strike smacking Kirby to the floor as he went for another attack Kirby threw up a block but the ice sword broke in half.

Mario and Kirby then sensed a new power as a smash ball appeared out of no where Mario smacked the ball sending to Kirby who slammed it down to the floor and cracked it Kirby then burst. with new power as he stared down Marth before unleashing hell in the form of the ultra sword.

Crap! The Master hand said as Kirby flew up to him and began to cleave the hand to bits as he whirled the ultra sword with terrifying ease.

Master hand quickly impeded the other paths with magic as Kirby hit a final slice cutting it in half.

Nooooo! Master hand screamed in agony and terror as he disintegrated to dust and in the process removing Marth's new powers.

Mario then landed a swift neck chop knocking the swordsman out.
