Hey all! So, as you may or may not know, I actually wrote Henry and Emilys' first kiss about 7 or 8 years ago in The Story Of Two Green Engines. This is essentially a remaster of that moment. It starts at Barrow-In-Furness while Emily is catching up with Pip and Emma and Henry is getting himself turned around at Barrows' sheds Enjoy!

It was a beautiful Christmas eve at Barrow-In-Furness. Several engines from all over England and a few from Sodor gathered to celebrate the festive evening, two of which being Henry and Emily.

Emily sat at the station catching up with two of her closest friends she hadn't seen in a long time. It was their first time meeting since Emily was permanently reassigned to Sodor.

Phillipa or Pip as she prefers to be called, and Emma were two of Emilys' best friends during her time on the mainland. They always stood up for each other. Pip and Emma stood up for Emily when a dissatisfied passenger threw racist slurs at Emily and supported her when she went through her first bout of major depression, and Emily stood up for Pip and Emma when they were also shouted at by an angry passenger.

"Things have changed a lot since I've been here last." Emily stated.

"Indeed they have. Man how the times have changed." Pip replied.

Meanwhile up the line aways, Henry was a bundle of nerves. "Alright. Come on Henry. You can do this. Breathe. What's the worst that could happen?" Henry thought out loud within earshot of Barrows' sheds. In one of the berths, an earshot away, was the Flying Scotsman.

"Hey Henry. What's got you so nervous this fine Christmas eve?" The Atlantic A4 asked.

"Well, I was going to confess to Emily that I do love her..." Henry nervously said.

"Oh...In that case I understand your nervousness. The best thing you can do is give it a try my friend. You've got this." Scotts' words of advice somewhat calmed Henry.

"Thanks Scott." Henry smiled as he puffed onto the turntable and got himself turned around.

"Go get her buddy, and congrats to you both in advance." Scott winked.

Henry smiled, feeling a bit more confident.

It wasn't long before Henry arrived back at the station. He faced Emily nervously. All three engines noticed him and how much of a bundle of nerves he was.

"Henry! How are you old chap! It's been far too long!" Pip and Emma greeted the green Black 5.

"Oh! Hi Pip! Hi Emma! I-it's great to see you t-t-too." Henry stuttered as he often did when he was nervous.

Emily looked at Henry with concern. "Henry honey why are you so nervous?" Emily asked.

At that moment the entire station went quiet. You could hear a pin drop in there. It seems as if others had caught on to the situation, and the crazy thing about humans is they absolutely get a kick out of anything romance.

"Well...the truth is Emily, is that... I...I am in love with you..." Henry nervously stated.

Emily smiled and blushed. She never in a million years felt as if she'd fall in love like this, at least not with someone as special and unique as Henry.

"I know I'm not good with fear bit I know how to be brave sometimes and I know that love is like braving a thousand stars, and I am in love with you..." Henry smiled, trying to hide his nerves.

Those four words lit Emily up like a firefly in the night. Tears of happiness streamed down her face.

"Oh Henry..." Emily smiled. as she moved forward to gently nuzzle up to her newfound love.

"I love you too." Emily whispered.

Emily glanced up to notice a bushel of mistletoe above them.

"Mistletoe." Emily smiled.

Henry glanced up too, admiring the green plant.

"Shall we kiss?" He smiled before Emilys' lips caught his. The station went up in cheers. Even the Fat Controller smiled.

They went in for another, and the another, each one growing more deep and passionate. Soon enough Emily made her move, gently brushing her tongue against Henrys' upper lip, gently asking to enter. Henry of course obliged, opening his mouth a little more allowing his tongue to dance with hers. Eventually the two parted to catch their breath.

"I love you, my emerald angel" Henry breathed.

"I love you too, my knight in shining armor." Emily smiled before Henry embraced her in another deep, sweet, french kiss.

Eventually the party ended and the two went home all the happier.

Whelp, it's been a long time coming! This took a bit longer than I expected it would but here it is! These two are seriously my OTP and I love writing about them, especially them snogging. Thank you so much!
