Above the clouds the airship soared as swift as a falcon. Its passengers weathered the uncomfortable pressure change but were eager to reach their target destination.

"Ear popping aside, this would be amazing if I hadn't experienced the hoverboards yet," Jinx told her sister as she walked next to her.

"True, but taking our cargo on hoverboards would be a challenge. Or even if we tried your flying hideout idea. And being in either for when the hexgate kicks in might be too bold even for us," Vi replied. Don't make it a challenge for her.

Jinx leaned over enough to almost worry Vi. "I thought the skulduggery would enhance it, but almost a year into this war, I could stand some quiet."

Vi nodded. "Thank Janna Jayce got the hextech shield up quickly. Ambessa's forces could have wreaked a lot more havoc otherwise."

Jinx made her smile that rarely brought joy to others. "Speaking of wreaking havoc, you think the big boy and his zealots will really throw a spanner in their war machine?"

"He was formidable enough when Warwick, Cait, and I fought him. I understand why the Dredge inmates would want to riot, but a lot have embraced his view of strength through perpetual conflict. I don't trust the Piltie intelligencers, but that one from Clan Ferros claims Noxus is on the verge of a civil war, so he could help put them on the back foot."

Jinx looked to the side, but to Vi's relief, her sinister smile turned more sincere as her eyes softened. "Better them than us."

The airship descended into a wide grassy field. It was empty except for some insurgents who would be all too happy to see the huge cyborg and take him as a leader. Jinx herded Urgot's supporters off with Pow-Pow ready to discourage any silly ideas from them.

Vi transferred a heavily restrained Urgot herself. He once again talked about his ideology and once again, Vi didn't listen. I get enough politics from work and my girlfriend, Dreadnought.

They took off without a hitch and headed to the quadrants to use the hexgate to return. Assuming there hasn't been an attempted attack on it again. Well, we should have enough supplies that a week-long unplanned vacation would be tolerable. Cait and Ekko would worry though.

"Did… Caitlyn tell you how Ren is doing?" Jinx asked in a soft voice.

Turning her attention to her younger sister, Vi offered a hand to her which she took. "A couple days before I left, Cait told me she'd talked to Ren's aunt. She said Ren was doing well, though she gets afraid when the warning sirens blare or when the mage's try attacking the hextech shield or the Armadillo Territory field."

Jinx seemed to be soothed by that. In a way, it's strange to focus on one person she unintentionally orphaned when she eagerly left so many less a loved one. In another way, it makes all the sense in the world.

"If I don't see Caitlyn, thank her for me. Her wound from the Dredge is healing well?"

Nodding, Vi looked and saw the hints of hextech energy around them. "She seems to heal as fast as I do sometimes. Part of it is her being tough, but she doesn't seem to be harmed much a lot of times that I thought would be serious," Vi mused.

"Maybe she's benefiting from you giving her your shimmer indirectly," Jinx said with a smirk.

The pale blue light surrounded the airship. They were seconds from teleportation. "Yeah, I don't think I'll tell her that."

"I've something to ask you when we get back," Jinx added.

The airship went through the fantastic journey back to Piltover in less than a minute. Vi felt a bit dizzy from it while Jinx seemed to enjoy it the most of the trip. Jinx had confided to me how she had found the monkey bomb as heavenly until she knew its results. She has a lasting attachment to it; similar to me and shimmer.

"Shoot."

"I want to marry Ekko!" Jinx blurted, louder than she intended..

"Uh… does he expect it?" Vi asked, trying to give herself time to catch up.

Jinx started pacing as the airship headed to the docks. "I–I don't know. Ekko talks and acts romantic, but he has so much of Zaun's problems on his shoulders. And he still worries about going fully physical with me, because he isn't sure it would be the best for me."

"I feel like Cait and I are the opposite. We'd like to do the romantic stuff, but we only have time outside of work for foreplay, sex, and aftercare."

Jinx made an incredulous face but then seemed to reconsider. "Talking, playing, and working with Ekko is important for us. I don't know if I'd trade that time for boinking with him or not."

Think of some good advice to tell her! Her decision will have consequences. "Have you told anyone else?"

Jinx shook her head then paused. "Well… they know." She put her thumb out to the side.

There is solace in that. Months ago she'd hate talking about them with anyone but Ekko… and presumably Silco before him. She's said they've been quieter except in the worst situations. "Claggor says go for it and Mylo says don't, right?"

Jinx shook again. "Claggor thinks I should figure out if he'll say 'yes' or 'yes but later' first; Mylo wants me to do it so I'll be humiliated if he says no."

Vi initiated an ever-welcome hug. "Your choice, but I'd go for it. I think you'll both still love each other if he says no. You can't imagine him being cruel or callous about it, can you?"

"No, I can't." Jinx sighed then smiled again as the plank went down. They exited and she began singing another old song from the jukebox.

Everybody's talkin' at me

I don't hear a word their sayin'

Only the–

"Ekko! Jinx, you're back!" Ekko shouted and startled the sisters as he got in front of them on his hoverboard as quickly as he moved at the dock a year ago.

"You! You can't steal that from me!" she declared and soft tackled her love to the ground. He tried to roll on top but she countered, determined for the pin. The two rolled for a bit. They should be careful not to go over the edge. Damn, I'm starting to think like dad.

"You know. When Cait and I get back together, we just hug and kiss," Vi stated.

"Boring!" Jinx and Ekko said at the same time. Ekko tapped the ground, so Jinx helped him up in her victory.

"Still, if that was a hint, we can get you to her fast," Ekko offered and detached the spare hoverboard.

Vi smiled. "Thanks, Little Man. Jinx, remember what I told you?"

Her sister tilted her head for a moment before smiling. "That I'm ready."

She hopped on and flew away at an impressive speed.
