Hello and welcome back! This is Chapter 2. I started working on this about an hour after I uploaded the first one. I brainstormed a bit (it's 11:30 pm, but I wanted to start before I lost my muse). Anyway, in this chapter, our favorite mech is going to get settled into their new home. How exciting!
I should mention that this story is rated M, mostly for some swearing, but there will be some gore. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Chapter 2: Making a Home
Swimming as a titanic metal lizard lookalike is an interesting experience. You would think that being made of metal, I would sink, but you'd be wrong. As it turns out, I have these tanks that I can fill to create buoyancy, much like a submarine's ballast tanks. My blueprints call them Swim Tanks, but I'm unsure why. It seems I lack context for the naming system.
As I swam across the ocean, I familiarized myself with my body's systems, which led to a surprising discovery. Nanotechnology, my body is crawling with nanotechnology, all connected to the central A.I. in this case, me. I can make these useful little bots do anything I desire, from mining to building. They also run my automated repair systems, and if I should become too damaged, they will repair me immediately. Of course, I have to make a conscious effort to replicate more, unless the standard minimum amount is too low, then the clever little bots will make more. Aside from those little wonder machines, I am equipped with an assortment of weapons, from the two simple blades in my arms to my photon scream, and various armaments. Several built-in guns fire a variety of things. The most devastating being a, currently stored, shoulder-mounted GAU-9 experimental gatling gun, an upgraded version of the GAU-8, the main weapon of an A-10 warthog. This experimental version fires armor-piercing, incendiary, or explosive rounds chambered in 55mm. Simulating appropriate Human expression: They weren't fucking around.
My musing is interrupted as my navigation system pings me, informing me that I have reached my destination. My feet touch the seafloor as I begin walking up towards shore. My head is the first thing that breaks the surface of the ocean. I scan the shore and take note that I find no human life in my vicinity. So I continue forward, stepping out of the ocean. I look around, using my navigation to get my coordinates. New destination set: Mt. Hood, Oregon. Yes, a perfect place to make my home. I can dig out a perfect location into the mountain itself.
My gaze travels down to my left, seeing the skull in my left claws. The skull of the left head of Ghidorah. I should destroy- Unknown Error detected, resolving... resolved. I should place it somewhere safe, so no one can interact with it. I lift my head up, beginning to walk towards the mountain in the distance. A few minutes into my travel time, I turn to look at the Monarch drone following me. I can't be surprised, of course they would watch me. They are watching every titan. Ignoring it, I continue my journey in peace. It only takes half an hour to actually reach the mountain range, another fifteen minutes to traverse it. Now I find myself standing before my new home.
Looking over the mountain, I scan it, walk around it, looking for the most suitable location. Finding the best spot, I stop. Gazing at the rock face, I tap it with my huge metal claws, finding it... more than satisfactory. Setting down the Ghira skull, I grab one of the plates on my arm and rip it off. Watching in fascination as the nanomachines self-replicate to form a new arm plate right before my eyes, I confirm, "Yes, this will do nicely." Turning my attention to the plate I tore off, I pull my arm back and slam it into the mountainside. Syncing my mind with the nanomachines in the plate, I have them start consuming the raw material around them, forming the beginnings of a cave. As the nanobots consume, they replicate more, at my will, causing the process to go faster. Estimated time until completion: six hours, forty-three minutes, twelve seconds. Keeping my mind synced with the machines, I turn back to the rest of the area, looking out at the forest that appears as tall as grass to me. This is my home, my territory.
My attention shifts to the skull. Now, to destroy you- Error: unknown error detected, attempting to resolve, resolving... resolved. Now, I need to find a safe place to store it. I reach out to pick it up.

I wake up on the ground. Odd. How did I get down here? No matter, I stand back up receiving a notification that my nanomachines have completed their task, so I make my way to my cave.
I note an empty space inside. Directing some of the dormant nanobots to the wall, they make short work of it, allowing me in. This spot is better than I imagined—a massive, undiscovered cave system. Magma must have carved this millennia ago. I direct the nanobots into the cavern, first directing them to create massive pillars for support as they mine out the area for me, converting raw materials into resources for later use. This could take days, maybe weeks, to build a proper home. Before with the mountain, I couldn't really expand without bringing the mountain down. Now, I have some space, perhaps even a long-forgotten Hollow Earth entrance.
Walking through the cavern, I find a relatively flat spot, direct some nanomachines to create a platform, and place the skull of Ghidorah on it. Perfect, now no one will interact with the skull. I don't know why I don't destroy it. Error: Unknown error detected... attempting to resolve... resolved.
I direct more nanomachines to create some cameras for me to check for intruders while I am away. I should also create doors that I can seal with a thought. As I am thinking up plans to secure my home, the first camera comes on, which lets me see the Monarch troops... setting up a camp?
I reach out to their computers with my mind, integrating seamlessly. Let's find out what they are doing here. Mission parameters: Observe Mechagodzilla, report behavior, and if necessary, set up an outpost. Simple tasks for them, they have done it before with many other titans. However, I am not one of those titans. Stepping out of my new cave, I walk in the direction of their camp, watching as the troops notice me almost immediately. It's hard not to, I am a massive metal monster. Reaching their camp, I stop just outside and look down at them, noticing their weapons. Threat Level: Minimal.
I decided to at least be courteous. "Greetings, Monarch. It is nice to meet you." A short and simple greeting. I didn't need anything fancy. However, before I could say more, or they could reply, there was a roar of aggression. No, not a roar, but a bio-acoustic match: Titanus Scylla.
My metal frame moves, looking at the approaching cephalopod titan. Behavior: Territorial aggression. Combat unavoidable. I return a roar of my own, a mix of mechanical wailing and Godzilla's bio acoustics, it is shrill, and loud. Scylla stops her charge, long enough to consider attacking, then resumes her charge. I start my own charge so I am further away from the humans. She attempts to shoot her webbing at me but I quickly side step, shoulder checking her, and knocking her back. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough momentum to hurt her more than a rough shove. She responds by trying to skewer me with one of her legs. I knock it asside with one arm and bring my other up to punch her in the face, a mistake on my part as her tendrils wrap around my arm. I notice my arm in her tendrils starts to sizzle, corrosive mucus? Regardless, I punch her with my other hand. I don't want to kill her, just force her to leave. The nanomachines quickly covert materials under my feet, replicating themselves and repairing my corroded hand. Scylla, refusing to fo down from a simple punch, skitters sideways and attacks from the side, lunging at me with her sharp legs. Godzilla once smashed the Male Jinshin-Mushi with his tail. Acting fast, I turn away, tail up, and smash Scylla ij the side, there is an audible crack. Finishing my spin, I take note of the crack on her shell, that must be painful, and judging by her screeching, it is. I make a mechanical huff-like noise and stare at her.
"Leave or I will crush you." I speak in what I hope is an intimidating voice, hard to tell with my mechanical voice.
It seems to work, as she starts to back away. "Many apologies, I did not mean to intrude." Her voice is shrill and grating, and her statement is clearly a lie, she wanted to drive me away and claim my territory as her own. I proved my strength, and gave her a chance to leave alive, instead of rotting outside my mountain. I roar again, to announce my victory, watching in satisfaction and she runs away, her odd colored yellowish blood leaking behind her in a trail. I watch her go, making sure she isn't planning a sneak attack, only when she is out of sight do I relax.
I turn back to the Monarch camp to make sure they are alright, and I am pleased to see activity. I decide to let them get their camp set up in peace and return to my cave. Passing them by, I listen to some shouts of thanks, which I return with a nod of my head. Walking into my home, I make my way down, standing before the skull, I raise my claws up to destroy it. I bring it down and-

I open my eyes, getting up off the floor. I am confused. What just happened... last thing I remember is walking into my cave. I turn and walk away from the skull. Observing my nanomachines work. I pull up various images and movie scenes, settling on the scene in a popular human movie. These... Mines of Moria from the movie create a superb support structure, a design I shall use for the cavern. Approximate time of completion: 12 days 19 hours, 28 minutes, 34 seconds. While the bulk of my nanomachines work, I direct a small portion to begin constructing server banks for me to use. It wouldn't do well to fill my memory. I look around the cavern and nod to myself. Yes, this is shaping up to be a very wonderful home. It's perfect.
There we are, Chapter two. So many of you might he thinking, why the nanotechnology? Think about it, the perfect machine to kill Godzilla is one that can repair itself as long as it can consume something. Apex wanted the perfect weapon, so they made the perfect weapon. As for the nanotechnology itself, if you have ever seen the Netflix trilogy, movie two "City on the edge of battle" contains an entire city made entirely of nanotechnology, this is the base principle I used for Mechagodzilla's nanites. So for clarification, Mechagodzilla is constructed entirely out of nanotechnology which converts itself to fit it's designated role, be it the tough outer armor, or the delicate wiring. As the nanomanchines consume raw material. They replicate themselves out of that material, so there are nanites made of iron, gold, copper, you name it. I just wanted to explain it a bit so it makes sense.
What did you think of that fight? A bit quick but I tried to portray it as Mechagodzilla having the bulk, and luck on their side, Scylla is not much of a threat to them in the grand scheme of things. Scylla maybe faster than Mechagodzilla, but she underestimated them. One good hit was all that was needed to do some serious damage.
The skull, bit interesting isn't it? Seems old three head isn't quite so dead hm?
Next chapter, Mechagodzilla gets a visitor.
So as I am writing this I am in the middle of cleaning up some weird error that duplicated some of my writing and placed it randomly in my story, I think i cleaned most of it up, but I apologize if you find any duplicate text. This also made me unsave some progress and now I can't remember what I had fixed and rewrote, I might return to this chapter.
